Marissa is fantastic. She’s always on time and takes my pup on different walking routes all the time to keep him excited and interested. She lets him take his time sniffing around and people watching. We’ve already referred her to other neighbors and friends. 100% recommend!

About: I have had pets in my life for as long as I can remember, from my own, my families or my friends, they hold a special place in my heart. I have the naive expectation that all pets will become my friend, and also the patience, caring and compassion to make that come true with even the most independent of animals. Throughout the years I have cared for dogs, administered medicines, groomed and spent hours walking and playing. I can't wait to make friends with your special pet through visits and walks. I am a full time self employed professional with my own business which allows me to create my own schedule and work around various timing needs. I love a good cuddle and am an avid walker looking forward to getting to know your pet. With a pet of my own, I know the importance of leaving your fur baby with someone you can trust knowing your pet is well taken care of and safe. I am able to provide check in's and photos for a little glimpse of joy through your day knowing your pet is happy while you are away. I am respectful of home spaces and double check that all is well before heading out on my way after visit.

About: Caring for pets has always been more than just a job for me—it's a passion. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. From playful puppies learning their first commands to senior dogs needing extra patience and care, I understand the unique attention each stage of life requires. What sets me apart from other sitters is my personalized approach. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, preferences, and routine so they feel safe and comfortable in my care. I’m experienced with basic puppy training, leash manners, and crate training. For older pets, I provide gentle, attentive support—whether that means administering medication, helping with mobility, or simply offering lots of love and companionship. I believe communication is key, so I always keep pet parents updated with photos and notes to ensure peace of mind while you're away. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I work in IT from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for pet care. Whether it’s regular walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pet company, I can easily fit their needs into my daily routine. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space—and your pet—with the same respect and attention I give my own. I follow your routines closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, medication, or house rules, to keep your dog comfortable and stress-free. I understand how important trust is when someone enters your home, and I always communicate clearly, keep things tidy, and send regular updates so you feel at ease while you're away. Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs, and I’m happy to accommodate special requests or routines to help them feel secure. Whether your dog needs quiet companionship, active playtime, or just a calm presence while you're gone, I provide reliable, loving care every time.

About: I have specific skills in fostering kittens, working with senior dogs and caring for them overnight, walking energetic and crazy dogs, and training with puppies. I can squeeze pet care into my schedule whenever. I am pretty flexible in schedule and am willing to work with you for whatever you need. In my home, I do not have pets because I live in a studio. At other people's homes I like to have a detailed written list of where everything can be found and what certain routines and schedules look like.

About: I have a long and varied history of animal care: dogs large and small, cats, reptiles, chickens, and more! I currently live with multiple cats and volunteer weekly at the local shelter with dogs. I think my biggest asset as a caretaker is my ability to be patient and perceptive with animals- they tell us so much with their body language! I’m not currently working a normal job, so I’m available most of the time! That may change in the future, but as of now animals (mine and yours) are my full time gig I’m happy to do walks, or more active care and engagement depending on your pet’s needs. Please let me know what helps your pet thrive so they can have a positive experience.

About: Dogs have always held a special place in my heart and mind. I enjoy dogs and I feel like they are angels on earth. We are lucky to have them. I’ll care for your Pup like they were my own. Hello, I am a traveling “roadie”. I work for music acts primarily. But I have down time often and I love dogs. So I thought this would be an ideal side hustle for me. I have a Staffy that I adore and walk daily when I am home, but I would definitely enjoy more walks with more pups. We have a fenced yard and plenty of place to send pee-mails. Secure and safe. Gets good light in the morning and afternoon as well.

About: Safe house, attentive company, and dependable care giver with professional husbandry, pet sitting, behavior, and veterinary experience to tend to your Best Bud when life calls. Confident, compassionate care for senior and special-needs dogs. Plenty of playtime and exercise to tire out high-energy pups. Engaging, creative enrichment to keep every mind happy and active. Professional Ecologist with wildlife handling, husbandry, and behavior experience. 6 years Professional Veterinary Technician experience at local veterinary hospital. 2 years volunteering at local animal shelter. 30-year Pet Owner. Forever Animal Lover! Pet care naturally fits my daily rhythm—I’m home managing kids and household, so feeding, walks, playtime, and affection easily blend into my weekday routine. I'm home most of the day but may step out of the house a few times a day for 20 min-1.5 hours, for school pick ups or a quick work out. Your pup can come along for the walk/ride or stay safely kenneled until my immediate return. I can pick up Dogs in the Live Oak Neighborhood for Doggie Day Care between 8:30-11am. Weekend availability is more variable depending on what the family plans are. Your pup will enjoy a calm, structured, and caring environment within our family home on a quiet, low-traffic street in a popular walking neighborhood. With a secure courtyard and a spacious, private backyard for play, enrichment, and relaxation, your dog will have plenty of safe space to explore. Boarding pups generally have access to the house with lights out from about 9 pm to 6 am, and a potty walks right before bed and first thing in the morning while my coffee brews. Your pup can count on at least an hour of daily exercise—often more—and will be fed according to your established routine, with fresh water always available. When I’m home, pups are free to roam the house and enclosed courtyard, enjoying companionship and comfort alongside me.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for cats, dogs, and birds of all ages and temperaments. I grew up with cats and have cared for them throughout their entire lifespans, including senior cats with mobility and dental issues. I currently live with two cats (one middle-aged and one senior with arthritis) and a green-cheek conure named Pumpernickel. Caring for a highly intelligent, high-maintenance parrot has taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of enrichment, routine, and clear communication — skills that translate directly to great pet care. I treat every animal as an individual with their own personality, history, and needs, and I take pride in being observant, calm, and reliable. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m organized, punctual, and plan my schedule carefully so pets receive consistent attention and care. For house sitting, I make sure your pet’s routine is my priority, including regular walks, feeding times, play, and companionship throughout the day and evening. For drop-ins and dog walks, I arrive at the scheduled times and give pets my full attention during each visit. I’m especially mindful of pets who rely on structure, such as seniors, cats, and animals who may be anxious when their routine changes. I keep my availability up to date and communicate clearly if anything changes. I’m happy to discuss schedules in advance to ensure I’m a good fit for your pet’s needs. I care for pets by maintaining their normal routine and prioritizing a calm, low-stress environment. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely — including feeding schedules, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and quiet time — so pets feel secure and comfortable while their family is away. I’m very attentive to behavior, appetite, mobility, and energy level, especially for senior pets, shy animals, and rescues. I take a gentle, patient approach and always let pets set the pace for interaction. Cleanliness and safety are important to me, and I make sure food, water, litter areas, and pet spaces are well maintained. I’m respectful of your home, keep things tidy, and communicate clearly with regular updates so you know how your pet is doing. I’m also happy to do meet-and-greets to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone before booking.

Jennie has been great at walking my high energy German shorthair puppy. She was very kind and professional. She asked me a lot of detailed questions to see if there were any specific needs she needed to be aware of for my dog. She did a great job following my instructions for any of those specific needs. She was very communicative and punctual. We had to cancel service due to scheduling conflicts (which she communicated to me as soon as it became known), otherwise I would be happy to have her as a weekly dog walker.

About: I have been a lifelong dog owner. I enjoy the exercise and would love to walk your dog either around the neighborhood or in a dog park or in one of the numerous open spaces around Aptos. As a retiree, I enjoy the exercise of getting my daily walk with my own dog. I would love to do the same with your dog to keep your dog exercised and to keep up my exercise regimen. At my home, I have a young dog with a fenced in yard on a cul-de-sac neighborhood in Aptos. I live near a big open space and I am also happy to walk your dog in your local neighborhood where your dog will be most comfortable.
