About: Caring for pets has always been more than just a job for me—it's a passion. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. From playful puppies learning their first commands to senior dogs needing extra patience and care, I understand the unique attention each stage of life requires. About: I have been caring for my 13 year old dog, Molly, for 11 years. I am also an active volunteer at the county animal shelter, working with dogs (1,000+ hours) and cats (400+ hours). I have a special place in my heart for dogs with behavioral and medical needs, and working with them at the shelter has taught me patience and skills that help to make the animals more comfortable. I also have training in puppy care, senior dog care, walking leash-sensitive dogs, and caring for injured animals. The time I get to spend with dogs is the most fun I have doing anything, and I take a lot of pride in caring for them with the appropriate level of attention and patience they need. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, so I am available to walk and care dogs at a variety of hours. The length of walks is up to you and your dog-- I am happy to do short walks or longer outings depending on what you need! I am happy to refer you to references (animal shelter staff and volunteers) who can attest to my dog-handling skills and my ability to work with dogs from a variety of backgrounds. The safety of your pet and your home always come first, and I am very comfortable taking any steps needed to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

About: As a massage therapist for over 25 years, I have worked on horses, cats, and dogs as well as people. I include FREE therapeutic massage to pets I care for. I've always had a dog and have been very honored to work with and care for dogs. I have owned and worked with dominant breed dogs, sharing with their owners how to support best behavior when asked. I understand canine psychology and genuinely love dogs. When I work, it's online via Zoom so I am available to be physically present for your animal(s) 100%. I am an avid hiker/ walker and I'm up early. I enjoy playing with and giving them attention. I have a calm presence which puts animals at ease, yet I understand how to manage challenging behaviors, should they arise. I follow your requests and preferences. I walk dogs early and usually at least twice a day. I maintain awareness and listen for signs to take them outside to go potty or walk, allowing them to sniff around. Once dogs realize I'm a 'pack leader' they usually feel more safe and challenges disappear. Right now I am not able to have a dog in my home. About: I’ve taken care of dogs, big and small alike all my life. I grew up with a boxer and a golden retriever in the home so I’m accustomed to the joy of having pets in the house. More recently I’ve pet sat for families who have homes in Europe, and would go visit during the holidays. I’ve been caring for this elderly dog in particular for over 10 years. He’s a sweet tempered dog but takes medicine everyday so I’ve become well adept at hiding his meds inconspicuously to get him to eat it without any problems. I also love working with puppies and find that caring for younger dogs is a lot of fun, and is exciting too! I love aussies, border collies, and spaniels but find that I can get along with just about any breed. I’m the type of person to always stop to ask to pet your dog on walks, and love showering dogs with affection and love. One of my favorite past times, is letting a dog run free off leash, and play frisbee with him or her. I’d love to provide loving, friendly, and fun care to your furry friend and I look forward to our first paw-shake! Currently in school, but available after and before classes start-and free on weekends! I’m in school, but I have plenty of time to run around and meet your pets. I would look forward to days pet sitting, or walking, and would love to meet you and your pets! I care for pets mainly in your home, I find it easiest because some pets can get flustered in new environments. I strive to get to know them and build trust by being in their home turf to see all their favorite toys, and where they feel most comfortable. About: Not only do I love animals but I also have many years of experience taking care of them. The last several years, I have gained a lot of experience by taking care of my sisters’ and friends pets. I am always their go to sitter. I have had my Golden/ Pyrenees named Summer for 4 years now and she has also taught me a lot. I love long walks with my pup so you can be sure that your pup will get lots of exercise, pets, and lots of love. Summer is the friendliest pup so she will happily welcome another dog into her pack. I work full-time during the week but your pup is welcome to stay in my home. We have a doggy door for potty breaks. I am available after work for nice long walks and on the weekends all day and night. I am also happy to stay at your place if you prefer! Your pup is allowed in the house and furniture at all times. They will be treated like my own and be given so much love and attention.

About: I have specific skills in fostering kittens, working with senior dogs and caring for them overnight, walking energetic and crazy dogs, and training with puppies. I can squeeze pet care into my schedule whenever. I am pretty flexible in schedule and am willing to work with you for whatever you need. In my home, I do not have pets because I live in a studio. At other people's homes I like to have a detailed written list of where everything can be found and what certain routines and schedules look like.

About: Dog Walker: I have grown up taking German Shepherds and English Springer Spaniels on walks. We’ve had German shepherds since I was a baby and I’m familiar and comfortable working with larger dogs. I’ve grown up around my pets and volunteering with the Great Pyrenees Rescue as well. As a walker, I’m familiar with high energy and low energy dogs. Comfortable going to parks / urban areas, can bring dog bags if needed. I’m used to dogs who strain themselves on their leash and am happy to work with you and the dog to find what type of walks works best for them! For Sitting: I’m comfortable stopping by the house and spending time with the pet, letting them out for bathroom breaks, outdoor playtime, etc. I’ll be on campus t/th/fr from at least 9-3 but have a flexible schedule outside of that. I’m in the capitola area and would prefer to stay between Santa Cruz to Aptos for home visits. For overnight stays: I can be available nearly any night, again have school on T/Th/Fr but can work around that schedule! I love working with animals and look forward to working with your cherished pet! My school schedule at the moment will take up normal work hours T/Th/Fr but Monday and Wednesdays will be completely open to walk! Available for home stays around this schedule too. I love spending time with pets and miss my family pets dearly as I’m new to the area. Looking forward to hanging out with dogs and cats and giving them all the love they need while you’re at work/out of town!

About: Greetings! My name is Teresa and I am a true dog lover. I have over 20 years of experience caring for my many dogs (I have owned/loved 10 dogs over the years...up to five at one time!) as well as watched their 'cousins' when needed...which has been frequent ;). I will come into your home and follow whatever regimen you require and desire for your pooches so you and they are as comfortable as possible while you are away. I know how incredibly difficult it can be to find caring and trustworthy people to watch one's canine babies while owners are away--this is my way to give back and help fellow pup parents with this issue. I hope to make many new friends, humans and dogs, in the process as well! Thanks for your consideration! I'm not working at the moment, so very available if necessary. My schedule is very flexible so I can generally be very accommodating to meet your and your fur babies needs. I live alone in my apartment 2 blocks from Twin Lakes. We have Schwan Lagoon trails, and an assortment of beach walks close by. I have a nice sunny balcony with bed/cot and many dog neighbors. If they love people, I have no problem taking them out to socialize.
