About: I currently have 5 amazing big dogs that I’ve been taking care of since I was in middle school. I am patient, responsible, friendly, and caring. I am available for pet walking and drop ins Monday through Thursday at any time just before 4pm! I am also available every other weekend! I have 5 dogs myself who I care for everyday. I run or walk them multiple times a week and play with them at the house!
About: My entire family love animals so I have had a variety of pets throughout my life. I have had fish, a dog, a cat, and a turtle! I love pets and I would love to help others with theirs!!! I dog sit for my family members when they need me to. As a student I have a lot of flexibility in my day to day schedule to take care of pets! My longest classes are an hour and half. I make sure there’s spaces in my schedule to have time to check in on the pets I’m caring for. I care for pets in a very caring way, I am very patient and calm. About: I've had dogs for over 10 years and have taken care of dogs and cats with all sorts of needs/medical care such as diabetic, arthritic and eye-sight impaired animals. I trained both of my dogs in agility and behavior classes so I have experience with training and extended behaviors. I volunteer at the Santa Cruz Animal Shelter and have taken multiple classes on dog behavior and dog walking safety. I am currently a UC Santa Cruz student but my schedule is fairly flexible since I commute/live off campus. Currently I only have one class per day, Monday through Friday so I can be present to provide majority of the care with minimal outings. I always ask clients about their yard and preferences for their animals safety in the yard especially at night. Depending on their circumstances, I will scan the yard for any unusual activity and safety concerns. As well as always being in close proximity when the dog wants to go in the front/backyard.

Later, another emergency came up where we missed our connecting flight and couldn’t make it home for an extra day. About: I've been pet sitting for family and friends forever and like to say I am pretty reliable. I also have experience with farm animals as I have raised a few myself. Animals tend to like me, what can I say I have a way with them. I am currently a student at UCSC. My schedule is pretty set for the next 3 months. I am open to working holidays as my family don't celebrate. I have a smaller apartment that I share with others. One of my roommate is a fellow pet sitter. About: I've always taken care of my family and friend's dogs when needed, and I wanted to share that same hospitality with other pets! Previously, I've done some overnight dog sitting but I primarily do day time visits. My dog sitting has included going out for walks and playing in parks and feeding the dogs. My mornings and afternoons tend to be most free on Monday through Fridays, and with proper planning I would also be able to do some weekends! Near my home, I have plenty of parks for dogs to roam around and play in, so they never feel too cooped up. Additionally, if I were to ever dog sit somewhere in the city, I know the streets well enough to know where it is safe for walking and what parks are good for playing in. I was very pleased with Tyler and how she took good care of our 19 year old cat, Sushi. She came over everyday and made sure she had food and clean water. Also scooped her little box. She gave Sushi the attention she craved, too. For the first time in 35 years we have had an issue with fleas. Unfortunately, they liked Tyler! Even though we use preventatives and home remedies, they still found their way to Tyler. For that, I’m so sorry! I’m working on a way to eradicate them once and for all. Thanks again to Tyler for being there when Sushi needed her.
Kai did a great job cat-sitting for me! He was very gentle with Rose (which she needs as a slightly timid cat) and made sure to document her food intake as I requested. Rose is on the shyer side, but from Kai’s photos it looks like she really warmed up to him! Kai also went above and beyond in fully cleaning Rose’s food mat, which is a task I know I need to take on more often myself.
Susie was great! She was incredibly responsive from the very beginning, got back to me within minutes of my initial message, and was easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. She also took the time to set up a meet & greet beforehand so she could meet Ausi and Lilo and make sure everyone was comfortable and it was a good fit. Everything went smoothly with her drop-in visit, and I felt very comfortable knowing the dogs were in good hands. We’re already looking forward to having Susie back for a longer house-sitting stay next month!
Anna was great! She checked in on our cat over several days and did an amazing job keeping up with her special diet and making sure her space stayed clean and she was happy and healthy. She was always prompt, kept us updated after every visit, and sent lots of great photos. We came home to a very happy cat and would definitely book again!
I'm so grateful we found Jasmine! I felt very safe leaving our pets and home in her care during a longer oversees trip. She is an excellent communicator, and has lots of experience with lots of animals and was confident with my picky eater and a cat who needed medication. She even ended up dealing with an ant infestation, and was resourceful and professional. We'll definitely work with her again.

Jennifer did very well with my extremely shy young dog. This was the first time that I had someone take care of him while my husband and I had a 2-day getaway. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
