About: Hello! My name is Anna, and I am currently studying to become a veterinarian in Santa Cruz, CA. I have worked professionally with animals for the past nine years and always treat every fur baby as if they are my own. I have built this experience through my independent pet-sitting business, my four years as a sales consultant at Pet Food Express, and my volunteer work as a cat and kitten socializer at a local shelter. I am also a mama to both my wonderful cat, Lemon, and my 16-year-old dog, Leo! I am currently very flexible with my schedule and am available for both day and overnight pet sitting. Through my studies, I have developed a strong foundation in primary veterinary concerns and how to properly care for an animal when they may not be feeling their best. As a current undergraduate student who pet-sits as my primary job, I am very flexible and open to caring for your animals! At most, I drive up to campus once a day for approximately two hours in the afternoon. I leave the rest of my day open to keeping your fur baby the best possible company. Pet safety is always my number one priority! I currently live in an apartment complex that contains a fenced yard, a dog park directly behind my apartment, and plenty of dog-friendly walking trails nearby. Our apartment is fairly spacious, and I have found that animals tend to love the large windows and amount of light we receive. For cats, I always ensure that all windows and doors are locked, and there are no possible escape routes (I know how sneaky cats can be)! I do currently have a very friendly cat living with me.

I knew that Daisy had a great day because she fell fast asleep on the way home, and while she was happy to see me at pick-up, I could also tell she really liked her hosts. She went back and forth greeting me and going back to Shannon or her husband to get her head scratched; there was big tail wagging going on there! Shannon is certainly knowledgeable and experienced in caring for dogs, responsible, kept my pup safe, and supported Daisy's quirks and needs. She and her family followed my requests and instructions perfectly. Shannon sent pictures, which my husband and I so appreciated, and was responsive and clear in all her communications. She was flexible when I requested a time change for drop off and was fine when I wanted to come a bit earlier than scheduled for pick up. Daisy will be very excited, and I will be very happy & confident leaving her again with Shannon ~ I highly recommend her to care for your pet! You get her and her wonderful family!”

My dog is very friendly with small breeds she grew up with chihuahas so she thinks she’s one too.. lol Larger dogs it takes her a minute to get comfortable she can be territorial. About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and for the past 25 years I’ve especially enjoyed fostering and having a multi-dog household. I’m an RN, so I’m very comfortable providing whatever care or assistance your dog may need during their stay, including medications or other special care instructions. I currently have three dogs of my own, all spayed/neutered, and they genuinely enjoy having other dogs around. I have one male who is about 45 pounds and two females who are about 25 and 45 pounds. They are an important part of our family and are very accustomed to welcoming new dogs into the house. My home is set up with dogs in mind, with plenty of space and comfortable places for them to relax, play, and have their own quiet time. I’ve learned over the years that every dog is different, and my goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and peaceful environment where everyone can feel at home. I work 20–30 hours a week, primarily from mid-afternoon into the evening, so I have most of my mornings and early afternoons free to spend with the dogs in my care. I have three dogs of my own who play well together and with other dogs, but also enjoy being lounge potatoes. 🐾 When I’m at work, I leave the door to the backyard open so the dogs can go outside whenever they need to relieve themselves, get some sunshine, or simply enjoy being outdoors. Before I leave for work, we have plenty of time for exercise and fun. Depending on the weather, we might head to the beach, go for a hike, or visit the dog park. If it’s too hot or the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll take a quick neighborhood walk and then spend time playing inside or relaxing and cuddling on the couch. Over the years, besides always having a multi-dog household, I’ve fostered more than 65 dogs with all kinds of personalities, ages, backgrounds, and needs. That experience has taught me how different every dog can be and how important it is to let them settle in at their own pace. I’m very comfortable helping dogs through the initial awkwardness of being away from their people and home, and I’m happy to give them the patience, reassurance, attention, and affection they need to feel comfortable. I also keep a close eye on the dogs in my care and am very attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, energy, or anything else that might indicate they aren’t feeling quite themselves. My goal is for every dog staying with me to feel safe, loved, included, and like they’re having their own little vacation while their family is away. My house is definitely a dog-friendly home! My dogs are welcome on the couches and beds, and I have plenty of cozy dog beds and pillows scattered throughout the house for everyone to find their favorite spot. If your dog enjoys being around other dogs and can be trusted to have some time alone in the house, they’ll fit right in and have a fantastic time here. When I’m not at work, I spend the majority of my time with my dogs and the dogs staying with me. They are welcome to hang out wherever we are, whether that means playing together, lounging in the backyard, or snuggling up on the couch. My backyard is fully fenced with a 6-foot picket fence, and both gates have deadbolts for extra security. I also have cameras around the house so I can check in on the dogs while I’m away. Honestly, that’s mostly how I catch them stretched out on the grass with their bellies in the sun, enjoying a good afternoon siesta! ☀️🐶 I’m also very comfortable caring for dogs with medical needs. I don’t mind giving medications, following special instructions, or providing extra attention and care when a dog needs it. My goal is to make your dog feel comfortable, safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, relatives and clients for years. Our house is their pets’ second home when they travel or need us. I can do the same for you, too. During the weekend I am mostly home. Weekdays, I partially work from office and home. There is plenty of time to spend time with your pet or walk them frequently. My husband works from home full time, so there is always one or two adults at home. We live in a single house with a fenced backyard, and there is a big greenbelt right outside our backyard ( see images). Therefore it’s very convenient for frequent walks or play time for your pet. They can also meet other dogs as well. As a family, we are comfortable with being around furry friends. We volunteer with my daughters at a local farm cleaning, caring, patting…. Love it! Our own cat-Zeytin is very calm and friendly. We love to play, walk, cuddle, spend some quiet time with our pet and guest pets and will do the same with yours, too. About: I work from home full-time, so your dog will get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. I have a private courtyard and medium-sized backyard where dogs can safely relax and play. I’m patient, friendly, and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with dogs — not just watching them, but actively engaging with them and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m new to Rover, but I’ve spent a lot of time caring for my cousin’s dog, including helping with basic training and good behavior. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality and energy level so they get the care they need. I work from home as a freelancer, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets attention throughout the day. I’m able to take breaks for walks, playtime, and check-ins, so your dog won’t be left alone for long. In my home, I have a private mid-size courtyard and a medium-sized backyard where dogs can safely get fresh air and play. I make sure they get regular walks, playtime, and attention throughout the day.

About: Many years ago I worked as a vet tech. I have been involved withwildlife and pet rescue literally all my life. I have successfully raised a few well-mannered, helpful and obedient dogs. My pups always have chores (ie: retrieving the newspaper, carrying in groceries, helping with yard work). I do my best to keep everything consistent for your fur babies. I try to keep to your normal routine and use your terminology and commands. Everyone so far has been pretty consistent ("sit, stay, off, leave it, release, etc) so I haven't needed to change up my vocabulary much. If you have multiple pets please ask me about adjusting the rates for each additional pet over 3. I can usually make adjustments. I am retired, therefore, able to devote all of my time to the pets and home that I am caring for. I love to garden so pulling weeds makes me happy. Lately, I have been making terreriums so you could come home to a needless yard and a jar full of plants. If you have a junk drawer or closer you'd like organized, leave me a list. Much more fun to organize your junk drawer than mine! I do my best to keep anxiety to a minimum and fun to the max. I want your pets to associate your suitcase with a fun time with me vs missing you. No matter how much fun I give them, they will still be overjoyed when you return. As it should be!
