Then I sprained my ankle and my wife's lower back went out. Celeste on very short notice stepped up by taking Duchess for unscheduled neighborhood walks so we could rest and recover. Two walks in now and Celeste and Duchess have clearly bonded. Duchess is a totally happy love bucket who thinks every person is her friend, but she responds best to people who are naturally relaxed and comfortable around pups while being the loving person in charge. About: Hi everyone! I’m just starting out on Rover but I’ve been a dog lover since day one. I have experience with dogs both big and small, in urban landscapes and suburban. I am attuned to their varying levels of energy, motivations, and comforts, all of which lets me form a quick bond with them! I’m a full time student at the UC, and work a part time job. Unfortunately, our hours at work were cut so until September, my schedule is relatively light! College dorms and apartments dont exactly have an abundance of dogs so I’ve been lacking in animal love. I hope to get my fill on Rover! My dogs have always been a part of the family, so that’s how I treat them! On my dog walks, I like to let them sniff all they want (but no eating!), I have no problem jogging if they’ve got some zoomies, and above all, I just want them to feel satisfied and ready to rest when they return home. I respect dogs as much as I respect people!

About: I grew up in the country with many different animals, mostly rescues. I am very familiar and comfortable with caring for and training many different animals. I currently do independent work dictated by my own schedule. I am usually pretty flexible and able to take last minute requests for walks, pet care and training. I don't offer pet care in my home but I try to accommodate the unique needs of every animal with sensitivity and compassion. I'm very used to a wide range of animals, mostly rescues and some formerly abused animals.

About: This is my first time on this app, but I’ve had plenty of dog walking/dog sitting experience from when I was younger. I used to take care of all the neighborhood dogs so I am used to being around and taking care of all sorts of dog types. I love dogs with a passion and will be the best walker you’ve ever had. I am a recent graduate of UC Santa Cruz and I am gearing up to apply to grad school. My schedule varies, but I’m free most early mornings for walking dogs, etc. I have experience sitting for neighbors pets so I am familiar with taking care of animals in their own homes. During this time, I have worked with small and energetic Toy Poodles, large and strong Siberian Huskies, as well as other breeds of dogs and cats, with whom I have formed great connections. About: I have exhibited compassion for animals of all shapes and sizes throughout my life. During my childhood I frequently volunteered with the ASPCA and participated in summer training programs. During my time at the ASPCA I learned dog walking safety and etiquette, as well as basic dog and cat behavioral knowledge. I have a very soft spot for senior pets. I had extensive time taking care of my elderly childhood cat, who lived to the age of 21. Additionally I have frequently cared for and helped walk elderly dogs of close friends, adapting to a pace and terrain that fit their needs. I am a UC Berkeley undergraduate student who will be living in Santa Cruz over the summer. I will be taking classes asynchronously, and have no other set commitments. The flexibility of my schedule will likely allow me to fit in the needs of your pets. For dog walking, I make sure each dog gets safe, attentive exercise tailored to their energy level, including proper leash handling, hydration, and cleanup. I also check for any behavioral changes and communicate updates to the owner after each walk. For cat sitting, I follow the cat’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, and providing playtime or companionship based on their desires. About: I currently work as a vet assistant at an animal hospital. My dream is to work as a veterinarian in exotic animal medicine! I am applying to vet school and want to make a career out of caring for animals. I have a lot of knowledge and compassion, and obviously a love for animals! I have taken care of dogs since I was little, whether it be experience with dog walking, taking care of small and big dogs as well as cat sitting. At home I have a well behaved sweet kitty who loves everyone! In addition I have had a small high-maintenance yorkie since I was young. About: I’ve been around pets my whole life I’ve been responsible for bathing, walking and feeding them. I have had many pets of all sizes and ages I’m currently attending college online so I have plenty of time to pay attention to your pets throughout the week. I have lots of experience caring for dogs and have many regulars that I walk weekly. Some of the activities I do are going to the park, walking on the beach, and playing with them. I genuinely love dogs and promise to provide your fur babies with the best care! I’m currently working full-time, but I get off the earlier side so I am available Friday-Tuesday after 1:00pm and have full availability Wednesdays and Thursdays! In your home, I will always make sure the doors are closed so your fur babies don’t escape. I will watch your pet carefully and will leave your home just as you left it!
