“Lauren has been the most consistent, professional, and caring dog walker - she's a GEM and we are so grateful to have had her caring for our 2 dogs - she is on time, she's thoughtful when she notices something going on with one of them and tells us, she communicates changes when needed and our dogs love her!!”

“Celeste is wonderful. We had met and already agreed to a three night pet sit later in the month, and some weekend walks with Duchess so they could get better acquainted before the overnights. Then I sprained my ankle and my wife's lower back went out. Celeste on very short notice stepped up by taking Duchess for unscheduled neighborhood walks so we could rest and recover. Two walks in now and Celeste and Duchess have clearly bonded. Duchess is a totally happy love bucket who thinks every person is her friend, but she responds best to people who are naturally relaxed and comfortable around pups while being the loving person in charge. Celeste checks all those boxes. We are very happy that we have more walks and a pet sit scheduled with Celeste.”

About: Hi everyone! I’m just starting out on Rover but I’ve been a dog lover since day one. I have experience with dogs both big and small, in urban landscapes and suburban. I am attuned to their varying levels of energy, motivations, and comforts, all of which lets me form a quick bond with them! I’m a full time student at the UC, and work a part time job. Unfortunately, our hours at work were cut so until September, my schedule is relatively light! College dorms and apartments dont exactly have an abundance of dogs so I’ve been lacking in animal love. I hope to get my fill on Rover! My dogs have always been a part of the family, so that’s how I treat them! On my dog walks, I like to let them sniff all they want (but no eating!), I have no problem jogging if they’ve got some zoomies, and above all, I just want them to feel satisfied and ready to rest when they return home. I respect dogs as much as I respect people!
“Amanda was amazing with my dog, Luna. She took her on long walks and Luna came back tired and a very happy camper. It’s clear that Amanda is wonderful with dogs and genuinely cares about them. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker!”

About: I grew up in the country with many different animals, mostly rescues. I am very familiar and comfortable with caring for and training many different animals. I currently do independent work dictated by my own schedule. I am usually pretty flexible and able to take last minute requests for walks, pet care and training. I don't offer pet care in my home but I try to accommodate the unique needs of every animal with sensitivity and compassion. I'm very used to a wide range of animals, mostly rescues and some formerly abused animals.
About: This is my first time on this app, but I’ve had plenty of dog walking/dog sitting experience from when I was younger. I used to take care of all the neighborhood dogs so I am used to being around and taking care of all sorts of dog types. I love dogs with a passion and will be the best walker you’ve ever had. I am a recent graduate of UC Santa Cruz and I am gearing up to apply to grad school. My schedule varies, but I’m free most early mornings for walking dogs, etc. I have experience sitting for neighbors pets so I am familiar with taking care of animals in their own homes. I will care for your beloved pet in your home following all of your wants and needs.
About: For over five years, friends and acquaintances have trusted me with their pets during their absence. During this time, I have worked with small and energetic Toy Poodles, large and strong Siberian Huskies, as well as other breeds of dogs and cats, with whom I have formed great connections. I understand how important it is to walk animals on time, play with them actively, and not forget to feed them and clean up after them. I genuinely love animals, and when you leave your beloved pet with me, you can be sure that they will be surrounded by care and attention. At the moment, I’ve part time work only a few times a month, so I am often completely free to care for your pets at any time! I work only at the client’s location. I take a responsible approach to the cleanliness of your homes, leaving everything in its original condition. I also follow all individual instructions for caring for your pets!
About: I have exhibited compassion for animals of all shapes and sizes throughout my life. During my childhood I frequently volunteered with the ASPCA and participated in summer training programs. During my time at the ASPCA I learned dog walking safety and etiquette, as well as basic dog and cat behavioral knowledge. I have a very soft spot for senior pets. I had extensive time taking care of my elderly childhood cat, who lived to the age of 21. Additionally I have frequently cared for and helped walk elderly dogs of close friends, adapting to a pace and terrain that fit their needs. I am a UC Berkeley undergraduate student who will be living in Santa Cruz over the summer. I will be taking classes asynchronously, and have no other set commitments. The flexibility of my schedule will likely allow me to fit in the needs of your pets. For dog walking, I make sure each dog gets safe, attentive exercise tailored to their energy level, including proper leash handling, hydration, and cleanup. I also check for any behavioral changes and communicate updates to the owner after each walk. For cat sitting, I follow the cat’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, and providing playtime or companionship based on their desires. I also keep the owner informed with regular updates
“David was very professional during our booking and in all our communication throughout. He was sweet to the max with my needy pup and we returned home to find him happy and relaxed. I will definitely use David again!”

“Teresa stayed in contact with me while I was on vacation by sending updates and photographs of my dogs. My vacation was stress-free knowing I had someone so wonderful taking care of my dogs and my house. ”

About: With years of experience, I care for each dog like my own, gentle with seniors, playful with pups, and always keeping their routine and comfort first. Pet care is a natural part of my routine, I make time every day for walks, play, and check ins, so each pet gets consistent attention and care throughout the week. I just moved to Santa Cruz and I have a couple months before I start my next job. In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s usual routine; feeding, walks, and playtime. About: As a lifelong dog parent, I love being a leader, cuddle puddle, walker, ball thrower, and runner for dogs of all kinds (100% adorable, every single one!) Whether your fuzziest family members prefer long walks on the beach or romps in the mountains, I love taking the furry friends out & about. Daycare, boarding, walking, medication management & special needs are all part of the arc of care, and am confident in showing your dear dogs the same care that my dogs get! I’m currently working part-time, and have a flexible enough schedule to accommodate weekday and weekend care as needed. I’m an early riser & love starting my day outdoors with a nice long walk. I have a fenced in yard & two friendly dogs to keep your pup company, and can accommodate crates for training if you prefer. We’re less than a miles from the beach and go for walks every couple hours, with plenty of play time & meals, as needed.
“Susie was great with our 11 year old golden retriever. Carly has a reputation for being stubborn and quite the princess 😁 and Susie handled her with patience and a sense of humor!”

“Jade is an absolute gem to work with! She was so attentive to our elder dogs many detailed needs. She communicates frequently, asking questions and letting us know how our little ones are doing. She sends plenty of sweet photos and really exhibits so much care. I recommend her without hesitation!”

“Megan is the best. She is responsible, respectful and a total pup whisperer for our black lab, Duchess. In fact she is the only person, us included, who can coax Duchess into her harness. We began with the plan to do just a couple of walks but it has worked out so well that Megan is now on a regularly recurring weekly schedule. Speaking of which, she has kindly accommodated some last minute changes in walk times. Thanks Megan.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my family my whole life, so I know that in addition to having the basic necessities met like food and using the bathroom, what they need most is love! I have lots of experience caring for dogs and have many regulars that I walk weekly. Some of the activities I do are going to the park, walking on the beach, and playing with them. I genuinely love dogs and promise to provide your fur babies with the best care! I’m currently working full-time, but I get off the earlier side so I am available Friday-Tuesday after 1:00pm and have full availability Wednesdays and Thursdays! In your home, I will always make sure the doors are closed so your fur babies don’t escape. I will watch your pet carefully and will leave your home just as you left it!

Delaney is the BEST and such a sweet person. She took amazing care of Lucky and I’m so grateful for her help. She sent me adorable photos and videos of their adventures which I loved! It’s always stressful finding a new pet sitter because I want someone who not only keeps my pup safe but also loves him almost as much as I do, but that clearly wasn’t a worry with her. Delaney went above and beyond, highly recommend and will use her in the future! :)

Naomi has been the best sitter for my dog and I’m so grateful! 🥳 Naomi has been so sweet and so attentive and caring for my sweet baby angel princess 💅🏼 she’s been treating my dog like a member of her own family and has always been there for me when I’ve needed her. 💖 I’m really lucky that I found her as my dog sitter/dog walker 🐕 and she is also just a genuinely kind sweet person as well!!! 🥰 You would be silly 🪿 to not have Naomi walk your dog! 🐶 thank you Naomi!

Amanda was amazing with my dog, Luna. She took her on long walks and Luna came back tired and a very happy camper. It’s clear that Amanda is wonderful with dogs and genuinely cares about them. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker!

10/10 highly recommend Noah’s pet sitting services! My pup absolutely loved him and had such a great time under his care. Noah kindly agreed to a very last minute request to walk Lucky during inclement weather and I am incredibly grateful for his patience with me and the situation. I look forward to working with him in the future!

Anna was wonderful in taking my dog, Haley, for walks when I was laid up with an issue with my foot. Anna let me know when she was on the way over, very on time, super nice upon meeting, great with introducing to my dog Haley and engaging with Haley, very sweet. I so appreciated Anna's help and would definitely reach out to Anna again when I need help.

Troy did such an awesome job caring for our dog, Diesel. Every day that Troy hung out with Diesel he was totally pooped by the end of the day which was extremely helpful as someone who works full time. Troy was communicative and accommodating to our needs. I couldn't recommend him more!!
