“We recently boarded our dog Lucy with Esther, and Brett for the first time, and it was truly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was smooth, easy, and calming. Lucy came back home looking so happy and well cared for! We received regular updates with pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Communication was excellent—she was always quick to respond to texts and calls, and kept us informed about everything Lucy was doing. The flexibility with timing was also a huge plus. We’re so grateful for the love and attention they gave to Lucy. It’s clear that they genuinely care for the dogs they look after. We’ll definitely be bringing her back in the future!”

“Words cannot describe how grateful we are to Oriana and JL for welcoming our pup into their home like she was theirs. We were nervous leaving her with new sitters, but they quickly eased our minds with countless photos and videos that we looked forward to every day. Our pup felt right at home and Oriana and JL did everything to make her comfortable. She was sad when we came to pick her up! I would HIGHLY recommend Oriana and JL and we feel a relief that we have found great sitters for our next trip. Thank you SO much!”

After only 2 visits, Mochi arrived at her home, tail wagging, excited to see her and that’s how I knew she was in good hands…the great care continued over her entire stay. I feel like Alicia took Mochi in and treated her like her own dog. I would recommend her highly to anyone and will be using her again whenever I need a dog sitter. Mochi and I thank you Alicia ❤️”

Priya and her husband were amazing! This was our first time leaving our dog for a extended time, they provided photo/video updates which eased us knowing he was having a great time. You could tell he really enjoyed being with them! Would highly recommend and definitely will be using them again!

Walter and Angela are by far the best sitters dozer and I have ever met. They are ever so gentle, extremely attentive and caring for my pups needs and wants. We will definitely be rebooking. They sent me photos daily updating me and keeping me in the loop which I appreciate so much. Beyond greatful to have met and had the opportunity to have dozer board with them. We will definitely be rebooking

Hyoungjin, Soyoung and Stella were incredible pet sitters. They were very attentive and kind to our dog, Terra, for an extended stay. She could follow them around the house and sit on the couch, giving her a comfortable family experience. We appreciate the many photos and videos showing us how Terra was doing. We would definitely repeat the experience and are most thankful of the good care that Terra received!

Angela was so incredibly good with Oliver, we would absolutely leave him with her anytime! She took such good care of him, and sent us lots of photos and updates so we always knew what he was up to and how happy he was with her. Oliver is an older dog who is used to being around people a lot, and she was so good at taking him out in his stroller to socialize with other people and dogs, and spending lots of time snuggling and playing with him. He had the best little mini vacation with Angela! She loves animals and is so good with dogs, I can not recommend her enough - she's wonderful!

Serena and James were great with Winnie. We were nervous because it was Winnie's first time being away from us overnight, but they were very accommodating and helped her get comfortable. Winnie had lots of fun running with their dog Qira in their yard, and they sent frequent pictures and updates throughout the week.

Thank you, Sophie and Kody, for taking such great care of Teddy! You provided amazing care, and it was clear that he was in great hands. We really appreciated the consistent updates and communication while we were away—it gave us so much peace of mind. Teddy also found a new friend in Cooper! Amazing people and highly recommended. We would absolutely have you take care of Teddy again. Thanks so much for everything!

Tina went above and beyond caring for my dog while we were away for the weekend. She made my dog feel so comfortable, safe, and engaged that I never had to worry while on vacation. It gave me such peace of mind knowing my dog was in such caring and capable hands. I can't recommend Tina enough and will absolutely book with her again!

It was our first time leaving our dog, so we definitely did a lot of overthinking. Thankfully, Tejas kept us updated throughout, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that our dog was comfortable, well cared for, and genuinely enjoyed staying with them. Tejas was also incredibly flexible and accommodating, even though our booking was last minute and we had a few hiccups along the way. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience and would highly recommend Tejas to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Our first time booking with Kate and it was awesome! Our cat Charlie loved his visit and loved Kate. Charlie did not show any signs of being stressed out and Kate sent me lots of photos during Charlie’s 10 night stay with her. I will 100% reach out to Kate again next time we need a Cat Sitter

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
