About: What sets me apart? I am confident with large dogs, including farm and guard dogs! I discovered a love for big dogs when my mum adopted a hound mix who grew to be a 120lb wrecking ball of dopey energy. I've had a soft spot for the big ones ever since, and take particular pleasure in befriending them. I believe communication between human and dog is critical. A person's body language and tone of voice can say more to a dog than words ever could. That means I physically get down onto their level for affection, I use positive reinforcement consistently, I talk with them throughout walks, and I keep an eye on their body language as well for signs of happiness, fear, apprehension, etc. I'm confident walking on city streets, in forests/on trails, and in off-leash zones. I just need to know what your pup is most comfortable with and we'll go from there! APRIL 1 - NOV 1 availability Mon - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Tues - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Weds - unavailable Thurs - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Fri - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Sat - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Sun - 6:00am to 8:00pm I work at my job most mornings so will generally not be able to accommodate morning requests. I am keen to operate within the parameters and routines you've established inside and outside your home, in order to maintain continuity for your pet. This includes checking in with you for specific command words, encouraged and discouraged behaviours and their corresponding rewards/corrections, social situations to work on or avoid, favourite routes, etc. Personally, my pet cat receives as much attention as I can give him. He is highly affectionate, so is usually parked on my lap or somewhere nearby. I used treats/positive reinforcement to train him to shake a paw and sit down. My great fear for my little guy, and for all pets, really, is that he is bored, understimulated, or lonely. Because of this, I pay special attention to making sure that he is being physically and mentally stimulated in addition to affection. That means exercise and puzzles! I love to find simple games whether we're outside or inside - find-the-thing, makeshift tunnels to run through (if you're brave), seeking out tiny forest creatures to discover, etc. I'm always looking for new brain games for dogs, so if you have a favourite, let me know!
“Paula is a fantastic pet sitter, followed all our instructions and was friendly, very conscientious and communicative. We could not have asked for anyone to take better care of our cats and would not hesitate to book her again.”

“Ellie is exceptional! This was my first time booking through Rover and Ellie made the whole process stress-free and easy. She is prompt with responding and sending update photos and write ups on how the visits go. I cannot express enough the quality of attention and love she gave to my cat. I highly recommend her and will book with her again!”

“Alex was great! She was very responsive during the booking process and even came over for a meet and greet on the rainiest day of the year! She immediately got along with our dog, Moose, and sent us pictures and updates during their walk. We'll definitely book her again!”

“Brenna is so good with our odd cats. She is reliable, and they are always fine at the end of our time away. She has been great at picking up care for them when we've had emergencies, also. Really appreciate her flexibility and caring!”
About: I have been a dog trainer for the past 26 years and I have had pets all my life. I know how important it is to find someone reliable to take care of your pet while you are at work, or away. I have had my fare share of dog walkers cancelling at the last minute so I know the frustration with finding a reliable and responsible person. I am now 50 years old and will be there for your dog or cat, as agreed and as needed. I recently lost my big Rhodesian Ridgeback. We hiked every day for his ten year life. He was a well trained (by me) but spoiled boy who slept in my bed and was allowed on the sofa. I would treat yours based on your own rules but they would be loved and completely cared for. I find myself not wanting another dog of my own just yet but wanting to take care of others while I have the time. * Doggy day care max 8 hrs * House sit/boarding 24 hours * Dog walking one hour * Home visits 20-30 minutes My schedule is open but new dogs I will book solo so we get to know each other first. I can do day or evening walks, any day of the week. Boarding would consist of walking your dog everyday, max 2 dogs at a time. I have a very large home in Westwood Plateau. I have a fenced yard that we can hang out in after our walks, which would usually be in the forest where they can be on or off leash once we get to know each other.

Our home is located in a quiet, pet-friendly neighborhood with nearby parks and trails that are perfect for walks. About: Loving pet carer with over 20 years experience with dogs and cats. I offer daytime walks, daycare at my home, drop ins, and overnight care. Being an at-home parent my hours are fairly flexible on weekdays, and on weekends by request. We currently have one kitten of our own living at home, your pet would have to be comfortable with that. IMPORTANT For stays in my home: I do have two children at home (a 6yr old and a 10yr old) so for any bookings at my home I can only take in pets who are comfortable being around children. They have grown up around dogs, cats, and farm animals. I always take care to ensure that pets have space for themselves and that the children treat them respectfully, but I am unable to take in pets that may be extremely timid or aggressive with children. I am a stay at home Mum, and work part-time at home. So my schedule is fairly flexible, pets are not left on their own unless it’s for short periods. I’m happy to work with clients to accommodate their drop off and pick up times. Dogs have access to our fully fenced yard and a park just down the block. I never let a dog outside in our yard without me being present. I work from home allowing my schedule to be flexible to help accommodate your needs. Available weekdays and weekends, can be available on short notice. have a fenced in yard, where dogs can enjoy supervised play and potty breaks. I am able to contain dogs or cats to my family room/kitchen or living room if needed and happy to accept crates if needed.
“Lisa is amazing. Very thorough and has a genuine love for the animals she cares for. Her report cards are very detailed. We can enjoy our vacation knowing that our cats are well cared for.”

“Victoria was awesome! I booked her to come and visit my cats because I had a last minute trip to Toronto and it worked out so well! She was super accommodating, thorough, and it really set me at ease while I underwent an interview. She went above and beyond and we would certainly ask for her again if we need! Thanks so much, Victoria!”

I am used to and comfortable walking strong dogs and am comfortable with pitbulls (I have been around them my whole life). You can count on me to treat your fur baby with love and care! “Tammy coming to care for my cat Dreamer helped me relax and not worry about him. Her vet tech experience and love of pets relieved my concerns with his kidney failure. Being in his own home helps him as boarding may stress him and affect his appetite.”

About: I was a dog-mom for 8 years before losing my boy to cancer in June 2024. Believe me when I say, I love dogs more than I can put into words. They are a constant reminder of what is good and beautiful about this world and I truly do love them all like they are my own. I am exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled at caring for senior dogs with high medical, emotional and physical health needs as well as anxious dogs. While my dog was with me, he was under the care of a Naturopath, a GP vet, an Internal Medicine Specialist and a Cardiologist, and he attended biweekly Hydrotherapy sessions in early 2024. He also ate homecooked meals, under advisement from his Naturopath, before transitioning to speciality food. I am available to help in Coquitlam , Port Coquitlam and Port Moody so, drop me a line -- I can't wait to meet you and your fur-baby :) I work from home 3 days a week so, I can make time to walk your dog (within Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody) or, if you'd like, I would look after your dog in my home office while I work. I would look after your dog in my home office while I work. I have a small fenced yard for doggie potty breaks. With regard to doggie daycare, I'm looking to work with just one family at this time so that I can provide care for your fur baby with undivided and uninterrupted attention.
About: My family and I are owners to a three year old big lab/mastiff cross who although is a gentle giant, can also get a bit crazy so if I can handle him I think I can handle anything. I’ve had a dog my whole life and I can’t imagine life without one. I have lots of experience dog sitting with both small and big dogs and there’s nothing I enjoy more than spending my days with them. When I am hanging out with the dogs I want them to feel totally at ease while keeping to their normal habits and routine, whether that be their normal walks, play time or snuggling. While you’re away from your pets they are missing you so I like to give them love and comfort while you’re gone.
“Chelsie was awesome! Leo (cat) loves her. She obviously gave him lots of love and attention. Everything was clean and tidy. She sent us clear messages and photos. I definitely recommend her to mind your fur babies. Thanks so much, Chelsie!”

“Orietta was super kind and helpful taking care of our cat while we were away. She sent daily picture updates which was appreciated and took the time to throw out the old garbage and sweep up. Highly recommend!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Coquitlam
Andson was the perfect sitter for our shy girl. His patience with her was greatly appreciated and he was very intuitive with her needs (like how much kibble she needs and even filling up one of her favourite water bowls I forgot to mention to him). Would recommend anyone using Rover services to book with Andson!

Victoria is awesome! We've contacted her a couple times now to comes and feed our cats and she's always done an amazing job. The last time we booked her, we actually had to cancel last minute because one of our cats had to go to the vet and we had to cancel our plans. She was extremely accommodating and understanding, and we were able to get a full refund with her help. This time, I had to fly out to Ontario last minute, and she was able to help us out. No issues at all. Our cats love her. 100% recommend!

Mahshid did morning drop-in visits for Simba(Yorkshire Terrier) & Nala(cat) for 7 days. The experience was great and very positive. I received daily updates and pictures about the pets. She informed me of whether they ate their meals. She would take Simba on his daily walks and would inform me if he did/didn't do his business. She also acted on any further instructions that I would giver her. Mahshid has a very caring nature and the pets thoroughly enjoyed having her around. I would definitely recommend and will request her again. Thank you:)
