“Victoria was awesome! I booked her to come and visit my cats because I had a last minute trip to Toronto and it worked out so well! She was super accommodating, thorough, and it really set me at ease while I underwent an interview. She went above and beyond and we would certainly ask for her again if we need! Thanks so much, Victoria!”

“Wonderful communication - Alexandria took great care of my two cats over the holidays. She was kind and loving with them. She even won over my “suspicious” cat by the end!”
About: What sets me apart? I am confident with large dogs, including farm and guard dogs! I discovered a love for big dogs when my mum adopted a hound mix who grew to be a 120lb wrecking ball of dopey energy. I've had a soft spot for the big ones ever since, and take particular pleasure in befriending them. I believe communication between human and dog is critical. A person's body language and tone of voice can say more to a dog than words ever could. That means I physically get down onto their level for affection, I use positive reinforcement consistently, I talk with them throughout walks, and I keep an eye on their body language as well for signs of happiness, fear, apprehension, etc. I'm confident walking on city streets, in forests/on trails, and in off-leash zones. I just need to know what your pup is most comfortable with and we'll go from there! APRIL 1 - NOV 1 availability Mon - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Tues - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Weds - unavailable Thurs - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Fri - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Sat - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Sun - 6:00am to 8:00pm I work at my job most mornings so will generally not be able to accommodate morning requests. I am keen to operate within the parameters and routines you've established inside and outside your home, in order to maintain continuity for your pet. This includes checking in with you for specific command words, encouraged and discouraged behaviours and their corresponding rewards/corrections, social situations to work on or avoid, favourite routes, etc. Personally, my pet cat receives as much attention as I can give him. He is highly affectionate, so is usually parked on my lap or somewhere nearby. I used treats/positive reinforcement to train him to shake a paw and sit down. My great fear for my little guy, and for all pets, really, is that he is bored, understimulated, or lonely. Because of this, I pay special attention to making sure that he is being physically and mentally stimulated in addition to affection. That means exercise and puzzles! I love to find simple games whether we're outside or inside - find-the-thing, makeshift tunnels to run through (if you're brave), seeking out tiny forest creatures to discover, etc. I'm always looking for new brain games for dogs, so if you have a favourite, let me know!

“I was very nervous leaving our senior dog with our son for two weeks but Dorsa was amazing. She came in twice a day to visit and walk Lulu. We came home to a happy dog. Would highly recommend her!”

About: I was a dog-mom for 8 years before losing my boy to cancer in June 2024. Believe me when I say, I love dogs more than I can put into words. They are a constant reminder of what is good and beautiful about this world and I truly do love them all like they are my own. I am exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled at caring for senior dogs with high medical, emotional and physical health needs as well as anxious dogs. While my dog was with me, he was under the care of a Naturopath, a GP vet, an Internal Medicine Specialist and a Cardiologist, and he attended biweekly Hydrotherapy sessions in early 2024. He also ate homecooked meals, under advisement from his Naturopath, before transitioning to speciality food. I am available to help in Coquitlam , Port Coquitlam and Port Moody so, drop me a line -- I can't wait to meet you and your fur-baby :) I work from home 3 days a week so, I can make time to walk your dog (within Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody) or, if you'd like, I would look after your dog in my home office while I work. I would look after your dog in my home office while I work. I have a small fenced yard for doggie potty breaks. With regard to doggie daycare, I'm looking to work with just one family at this time so that I can provide care for your fur baby with undivided and uninterrupted attention.

About: I have been obsessed with pets from a young age. We have had cats, dogs, birds and reptiles. My family rottweiler, Trebor, inspired a particular love of everything four legged and since then I have had shih tzus and beagles. I love all pets like they are my own and, through experience and research, have an excellent knowledge of behavioural signs and symptoms in dogs. I understand each pet is a part of the family and will treat them as such. I am currently widely available for pet sitting, walking and drop in visits. I am very flexible and will work with you to best meet your pets needs. I have a secure balcony and plenty of rooms if your dog needs there own space. I have an off leash dog walk 5 minutes away from me. As well as secure garden area for regular toilet breaks. I also have maby comfy spot for the pets to snuggle down.
About: I have had all kinds of animals growing up from hamsters to cats & dogs so I’ve loved having animals all my life. I’ve also had a family dog (yorkie) at my moms who’s over 6 years that I adore and took care of before I moved out. My friends and family have relied on me to babysit or take care of their animals when ever I can and I am always happy to! I absolutely adore and love animals so I will always treat them like my own. I work full time from home only going into the office for a few hours twice a month therefore my schedule is flexible and allows me to fully attend to your pets’ needs. I currently have 2 cats at my place but I can place them in a different area for a few hours so message me & I will do my best to accommodate :) I will care for your pets as if they were my own, do my best to make them feel comfortable, and follow their regular routines as instructed. I provide bowls, doggy bags and anything else that is needed for a comfortable stay. My apartment is cozy, clean and safe.
About: I have been a dog trainer for the past 26 years and I have had pets all my life. I know how important it is to find someone reliable to take care of your pet while you are at work, or away. I have had my fare share of dog walkers cancelling at the last minute so I know the frustration with finding a reliable and responsible person. I am now 50 years old and will be there for your dog or cat, as agreed and as needed. I recently lost my big Rhodesian Ridgeback. We hiked every day for his ten year life. He was a well trained (by me) but spoiled boy who slept in my bed and was allowed on the sofa. I would treat yours based on your own rules but they would be loved and completely cared for. I find myself not wanting another dog of my own just yet but wanting to take care of others while I have the time. No I don’t train monkeys or alpacas :) My schedule is entirely open starting June 15th, 2026. I can do day or evening walks, any day of the week. Boarding would consist of walking your dog everyday, max 2 dogs at a time. I have a very large home in Westwood Plateau. I have a fenced yard that we can hang out in after our walks, which would usually be in the forest where they can be on or off leash once we get to know each other.
“Kelly was great with Keira! She was communicative, responsive, diligent and kind. Thank you for accepting my last minute booking! It was a pleasure having you, would rebook for sure and definitely would recommend!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Coquitlam
Andson was the perfect sitter for our shy girl. His patience with her was greatly appreciated and he was very intuitive with her needs (like how much kibble she needs and even filling up one of her favourite water bowls I forgot to mention to him). Would recommend anyone using Rover services to book with Andson!

Victoria is awesome! We've contacted her a couple times now to comes and feed our cats and she's always done an amazing job. The last time we booked her, we actually had to cancel last minute because one of our cats had to go to the vet and we had to cancel our plans. She was extremely accommodating and understanding, and we were able to get a full refund with her help. This time, I had to fly out to Ontario last minute, and she was able to help us out. No issues at all. Our cats love her. 100% recommend!

Tammy looked after our two cats for the first time over spring break and everything went great. Tammy is friendly, energetic, and has an obvious love for the animals. Our cats warmed up to her really fast (even the skittish one) and we were pleased with how the house looked when we got home. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again.

Mahshid did morning drop-in visits for Simba(Yorkshire Terrier) & Nala(cat) for 7 days. The experience was great and very positive. I received daily updates and pictures about the pets. She informed me of whether they ate their meals. She would take Simba on his daily walks and would inform me if he did/didn't do his business. She also acted on any further instructions that I would giver her. Mahshid has a very caring nature and the pets thoroughly enjoyed having her around. I would definitely recommend and will request her again. Thank you:)

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
