“We were very lucky to find Liudmila and Igor when we needed a sitter for our foster dog last minute. They were quick to respond and easy to communicate with. Most importantly, they took great care of our foster dog (who is high needs) and clearly have a lot of experience with and love for dogs. We would be happy to have them care for our dog again!”
“Our second time having Amanda care for our two cats went perfectly! We loved the thorough update + cat photos detailing her drop-in visit and greatly appreciated Amanda's expertise in administering pet medication as one of our cats has required pills both times we've been out of town. Both of our temperamental fur babies have taken to Amanda so quickly and my partner and I couldn't be happier! 🥳”

“Phatthawipha was excellent when she looked after my 2 cats this weekend. She ensured to follow the instructions and updated me with all the details of my cats along with some great pictures. This was my 1st time experience with her but I am definitely contacting her again in the future. Thank you so much Phatthawipha ❤️?”

“Blake and Carly did a fantastic job looking after our senior cat for an extended long weekend. It was great to have peace of mind knowing that she was in good hands and be able to fully enjoy our vacation! We will definitely book them again.”

“Ashely was wonderful! We left a ton of instructions for our need cat and she did such a great job listening and following, but also adapting where needed. We would recommend Ashley to anyone in need of a cat sitter!”

“Stella was very friendly and engaged in taking care of our pet. She assisted me with navigating the app, and was flexible in taking on additional appointments on short notice.”

“We highly recommend Jody for sitting services. We came back from our wedding and honeymoon to happy cats and clean orderly home. We really appreciated the love and respect she showed while watching our fur babies. 10/10.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for most of my life! I love dogs and animals of every kind. I have volunteered at the BCSPCA before and understand the care that animals need. I am not working and at home the majority of the time at the moment, therefore, I have much more availability to give your dog the care and attention they need! As a dog owner myself. I have an enclosed yard, lots of chew toys, and many different treats to keep your dogs happy and comfortable!
“Morgan did a great job taking care of our two cats while we were away. During the getting-to-know-you visit, Morgan really impressed me with the questions she asked and the interest she showed in learning about our pets and their routines. She also kindly explained how Rover worked--I had never used it before! I really appreciated the thorough updates she provided about her time with them. She played with them and was resourceful enough to figure out how to get them back in the house after they snuck into the garage (a favourite hangout of theirs). She also sent some lovely photos of the boys. It was so wonderful that we could be away and now that they were being well cared for and having fun, to boot! We definitely plan on booking Morgan again in the future.”

“Did a drop in for my two cats. Was great seeing photo updates. Edward was very thorough and quick to respond. Cats seemed happy when I got home meaning they were well taken care of!”
“Amazing cat sitter! I had her come in every day in the mornings for an hour to clean my cats litter box, brush, play and cuddle with him. I came home to a relaxed and well cared for kitty. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting a thoughtful and relaxed care taker for their pet😊”

About: I grew up with 20 dogs and 3 cats. I currently have a cat and special needs dog. I love animals. I am more of a pet person than people person. I’m a full-time student looking for work. I am available everyday because i only have classes on Wednesdays. I am also flexible and on-call. I can give baths. I can go to the clients’ house because I do not have the space. My cat also does not like new people. I love meeting new pets!
“Iuliia was super responsive and so accommodating as I requested a last minute booking to assist me with my cat. I really appreciate her flexibility and compassion for animals! Would highly recommend and reach out again.”

“Gisselle came for drop ins during a vacation. She took good care of my cat, making sure that he's fed, has enough water, has a clean litterbox, gets playtime etc. Gisselle also made sure to communicate with me regularly thoughout her visits, which I appreciated.”

“Alexis communicated well and our puppy loved spending time with her. She was easy to schedule with and very flexible. It helps to know that someone who cares is coming for our puppy visits. We would book Alexis again!”

“Lisa is sensational. She is warm, lovely and so caring. Immediately after meeting her I felt I could trust her with our nervous rescue dog . Our dog immediately warmed up to her, Lisa had fantastic communication, sent tons of amazing photos of our dog during her visit, and took great care for her. I would absolutely recommend Lisa for any pet services. I know we sure will be. Thank you again!!!!”

“Sichen and Shiqing took excellent care of our cats while we were away. We travel rarely and miss our kitties dearly while away, but we were grateful to know that they were being well taken care. Our cats can be quite timid and hide from others, but I was pleased to see pictures of them and saw that they each came out in their own time while we were away. We will definitely have Sichen and Shiqing take care of Sid and Callie again.”

“Justine did a great job taking care of my kitties while I was away. I felt confident that they were safe and happy during her visits. She is a fantastic communicator and sent lots of great photos and updates during each of her visits. I definitely recommend her and will book with her again if I go on another trip :)”

We were so glad we chose Stella to care for our cat while we were on vacation. She truly went above and beyond, sending us regular pictures and videos and giving us peace of mind that he was well cared for. It was clear from the updates that our cat was happy and comfortable in her care. Stella is very trustworthy and responsive, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again. Highly recommended!

Another great Rover experience with Justine, she did a great job taking care of my kitties while I was away. I felt confident that they were safe and happy during her visits. I appreciate her reliability and good communication. I definitely recommend booking her to take care of your pets.

Ching Yan took GREAT care of both Maya and Tubby, kept them entertained, well fed and well cared fall. I came home to see 2 very happy little guys. She also maintained the home spotless and clean, while helping me tending to the small things so that the kitties can stay in the most comfortable environment. Ching Yan is also super communicative, kept me updated with her visits and cute videos of the kitties. Her love for the animals is unquestionable. I highly recommend Ching Yan as your pet's care taker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
