“Amanda was awesome. Our cat Beans is extremely shy and has never come out for any sitter. After a day we received pictures from Amanda of him out and about during her visits. We are so happy with her care and loved all the funny pictures 😁”

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy caring for pets of all personalities and energy levels. I understand that every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and needs to help them feel comfortable and happy while you're away. Whether it's playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply providing a calm and reassuring presence, I strive to give each pet the same care and attention I would want for my own. I prioritize safety, reliability, and clear communication, and I'm happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to create a positive, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners by providing loving, dependable care in a safe and comfortable environment. I currently a full time masters student therefore have a ton of flexibility. I can work every weekend and most evenings. I am open to working with pet owners to coordinate times that work best for them! I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. Therefore I have a preference to provide care in the client's home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while always respecting each pet's individual needs and boundaries. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requirements provided by the owner. Safety is my top priority. I ensure pets are always supervised appropriately, secure during walks and outdoor time, and kept in a clean, pet-friendly environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for while they're away.
“Really appreciate Madison’s care for our puppy. Communication was clear and easy, and Orson was clearly in experienced, caring hands. I have no reservations recommending Madison!”

“Judy came by with short notice to help me out while I was heading up to Whistler for a day trip. She came by to walk and feed Spider his dinner, plus hung out with him to make sure he had some fun before I got home :) I’ll book her regularly on my busy work days so Spidey isn’t alone too long.”

“Yin was so thoughtful and thorough! This was our first time leaving the cats for an extended period of time and we were nervous but she made us feel so at ease. One of our cats is extra shy and she went above and beyond to gain his trust and play with him. Communication was fantastic and we felt she genuinely cared about their wellbeing and happiness throughout!”

“Iris is an absolutely incredible and highly responsible pet sitter! I booked her to take care of my cat, Orange, while I was out of town, and I couldn't be happier with her service. Orange usually takes time to warm up to people, but he absolutely adores Iris. Every time she left, Orange would stand by the door for a long time, waiting for her to come back. During her visits, Iris went above and beyond—she meticulously cleaned the litter box, refreshed his water, and spent quality time playing with him. What touched me the most was how she handled an unexpected situation: Orange threw up once while I was away. Iris managed it beautifully and took such amazing care of him that he fully recovered and didn't throw up again. She sent me wonderful photos and videos during every single visit, which gave me complete peace of mind and allowed me to fully enjoy my vacation. Iris is reliable, professional, and genuinely loves animals. I will definitely look for Iris to take care of Orange again whenever I travel in the future. Highly, highly recommended!”

About: Nurturing a Pet Haven: My Journey in Animal Care From the wagging tails of ten dogs—three of whom have crossed the rainbow bridge—to the gentle flutter of bird wings and the serene swims of turtles and fish, my home has been a sanctuary for diverse pets. Each day, I craft nutritious home-cooked meals, tailored to their needs, while meticulously managing their medications and grooming routines. This daily ritual is more than a task; it’s a labor of love, ensuring that every creature in my care thrives and feels cherished. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to take sittings on weekdays as I work on weekends. I can sometimes contribute on weekends too. I will be doing the duties at client’s home with complete secure sitting. I can provide valid background check and profile info and with few references.
“Rover's speedy ability to connect me with Carol l's excellent care was unexpected and absolutely what I was hoping for. Even though Rover identified several sitters very quickly, Carol was the first to propose and follow through on a meeting with our animals. Very quickly Carol's experience and comfort with caring for animals became evident and I was able to walk her through our pet care instructions. I received notifications daily through the App about Carol's visits and I was able to follow up with her quickly about some things I had forgotten to address before I left. It was a tremendous relief to know that all of our pets were being cared for by someone who genuinely loves animals and who is responsible and responsive to humans and to animals. It would be my pleasure to have Carol look in on our urban farm in the future.”
About: Hi! I’m a dog lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. 🐶 I know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful, so my priority is to make the experience as easy and reassuring as possible for both you and your pup. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to follow your dog’s usual routine from walks and mealtimes to naps, playtime, and any little habits that make them feel at home. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you never have to wonder how your dog is doing. Every dog has their own personality and needs, and I’ll take the time to get to know yours rather than treating every dog the same. Whether your pup is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, or just wants someone to cuddle with, I’m happy to meet them where they are. ❤️ Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. I’d love to meet you and your pup beforehand, go over their routine, and make sure we’re a good fit! I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! 🐾 I have a flexible work schedule, which allows me to make time for walks, feeding, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. My office is also pet-friendly, so depending on the dog and the service, I may be able to bring them with me to the office so they don’t have to spend the day alone. I’m usually available for walks after 5 PM on weekdays, but I can be more flexible depending on the service and your dog’s needs. On weekends, I’m generally available whenever your dog needs care. I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own routine. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, and any specific habits or preferences. I’m also very attentive to their behavior and comfort level, especially when meeting a new dog. I’ll give them time to warm up to me rather than forcing interaction. I’ll keep their space clean and make sure they’re never left without appropriate care and attention. I’m also happy to send regular photo and message updates so you can feel reassured while you’re away.
About: Hello! It's great to meet you. We are Marly & Charlie - we have both been taking care of and loving dogs of all kinds ever since we were very young. We are patient, gentle pet sitters, who can’t wait to take great care of your pets when you’re away. Each animal is treated as if they were our own and given a great deal of love and attention. We are happiest using positive reinforcement to encourage animals and play to keep them engaged. Nothing brings us more joy than building a bond with an animal! Since we're not at a point of being able to commit to having one of our own, pet sitting and dog walking is the perfect way for us to enjoy the best of both worlds. We are particularly open to extended housesits for while you go on vacation and offer a very inexpensive rate for this for the value you'll get from having the both of us look after your beloved/s in exchange for being able to have a staycation with your lovely pets and home. :) We have experience caring for all types of dogs from big to small; we have been foster carers for a long time as well as being professional pet sitters (with extensive reviews) back home in Australia where we've moved from recently, so are very familiar with training for behavioural issues and have learned an incredible deal of patience and understanding for animals. We lead an active lifestyle so know lots good spots for walks or even runs. We're comfortable managing all kinds of dog interactions. We also love cats just as much as dogs and have both grown up with them our whole lives! We are happy giving oral medication if necessary but don’t have experience with needles (though we are open to being taught!). During house visits, by request we are happy to look after extra tasks such as taking mail in, putting bins out or watering plants at no extra charge of course. We both work for ourselves so have a pretty flexible schedule and pride ourselves on being extremely reliable (definitely not in either of our natures to let anyone down and always go above and beyond). Having the ability to work from home also means your pet will get lots of company and attention! We have a small fenced front yard which your pets can enjoy. We are happy to follow whichever care instructions you would like for your animals, this includes in the home and outside. Charlie works from home full time and Marly only works part-time so there will always be someone around to provide love and companionship to your pets, as well as as much exercise as they desire. We will look after your home, pets and plants as if they were our own (i.e. providing endless love and keeping your home sparkling clean for your return). We are both experienced housesitters and petsitters and will show the utmost respect for being in your space by taking great care of all your belongings and beloveds.
“Klara did a wonderful job dropping in to look after my 13yo cat. She sent thorough descriptions of her her visits, along with pictures, and tried her best to get my skeptical cat to come out for attention. I'd happily ask Klara to look after Kerm again!”

“Andrea was great, she was available on relatively short notice and was able to administer insulin injections for my diabetic cat. She sent me updates with cute photos every visit and was reliable and responsive, would book again!”

“Nataliia took great care of our cat Abbey, she has a calm demeanour and gave our cat the company she needed while we were away. Will definitely have Nataliia back again!”

“Priscilla was fantastic! She did drop-in visits at my home for Bluey and Star, and everything went perfectly. Communication was easy and I felt completely at ease while I was away. When I returned, both cats were content and happy, which says a lot. Priscilla ensured they got their wet food and checked that everything was okay in the apartment. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter!”

I treat every animal like family and always go the extra mile to keep them happy and healthy. Get a discount- https://www.rover.com/sit/gurjes12357 Pet care is the best part of my week! I'm free on Thursdays, Fridays, and weekend evenings-perfect for walks, cuddles, and quality time with pets. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or at a client's place, I always focus on safety, comfort, and love. I follow their routine, keep their space clean, and never leave them unattended during walks or play. I make sure doors and gates are secure at all times. In fact, in my current job as a security guard, whenever a dog or any pet comes into the store, I can't help but say hi and give them a gentle pet-I truly love animals and enjoy being around them. I treat every pet with care and kindness like they're my own.
About: I’ve always loved dogs and grew up with one, so I know how much they become a part of the family. I’ve always enjoyed being around animals and would love the opportunity to spend more time with dogs through walking and pet care. I currently have two cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to work with each dog’s individual personality and needs — whether they’re energetic and love a long walk or prefer something a little more relaxed. My goal is simple: to make sure your dog gets some fresh air, exercise, attention, and plenty of time to enjoy their walk while you have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I’m available for pet care every day of the week and have a flexible schedule to accommodate different routines and needs. Monday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Tuesday: Available all day Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Thursday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Friday: Available all day Saturday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday: Available all day I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible and can accommodate both regular weekly visits and occasional bookings. At home, my two cats, Trupurr and Vida, are very much part of the family. I make sure they have a consistent routine, fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, and plenty of attention and playtime throughout the day. I pay close attention to their individual personalities and habits because I know cats can be very different from one another. Trupurr and Vida each have their own personalities and preferences, so I’ve learned how important it is to give cats the care and attention that works best for them. I also keep an eye out for anything unusual, such as changes in appetite, behaviour, energy levels, or litter box habits. I think those little details are important when caring for pets, especially when they can’t tell you when something is wrong. Most importantly, I give Trupurr and Vida lots of love, patience, and attention. I would treat someone else’s cat with the same care and respect I’d want for my own while they’re away.
About: To me, the most important part of pet care is patience and communication, even when that communication doesn't involve words. Every animal has their own personality, boundaries, routines, and way of telling you what they need. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs at every stage of life, from puppies and kittens all the way through to senior and end-of-life. I've managed medications, been there through surgeries, and loved them all along the way. At 9 years old, I finally wore down my parents and they got me a puppy. Paige was my entire world, my best friend, and my sister. She taught me the importance of love and patience, and the true meaning of responsibility. After losing her last summer, I dove headfirst into being a crazy cat lady. After fostering for some time, I adopted 2 precious kitties of my own. Now I just cannot get enough animal love! Since I work from home, I love the chance to get out and spend some much needed time with my neighbourhood fur-friends. I do this because at the end of the day, there's no better feeling than taking care of someone else. Especially when they've got 4 legs and they're covered in fur from head to toe! I live in the South Cambie area and work from home full-time (with a flexible schedule). Throughout the work week, I'm mostly available in the morning and late afternoon/evening, as well as day-time visits if you're close by :) I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet in someone else’s care, so let’s find a plan that makes both you and your pet feel as comfortable as possible! I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, care instructions, and any special precautions or preferences you have. As a pet owner myself, I find it reassuring to get photos and updates while I’m away, so I’m always happy to send them and help you feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands.
About: We've owned family dogs my whole life. Currently, we have a 12-year-old Shih-tzu, Kallie, and a 7-year-old Akita mix, Jasper. I have been heavily involved with the care and training of both dogs, while our Akita mix required more attention. Jasper, who is now a loving and friendly pup, was extremely reactive and a flight risk. Through copious amounts of positive reinforcement training, I am thrilled to say he is a confident and pleasant dog, who has become an amazing companion in all activities. Jasper has also had some complex health issues, which has familiarized me with various means of medical-related care, and feeding methods (he keeps us on our toes!). Additionally, I have dog sat for numerous people in my home community, most often a pair of rambunctious Siberian husky mixes—a crazy duo that stole my heart. I have recently relocated to Vancouver for my studies, with my three cats. Since moving, I miss our family dogs immensely, as they were an instrumental part of my day-to-day. I was involved with the daily care of both our dogs, including grooming, training, and walks/hikes. I have experience working with both large and small breed dogs, with varying personalities. I am happy to work with dogs that need some time to warm up, and those that are high-energy. I am happy to answer any questions at any time to make you feel comfortable!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Vancouver
Amanda was wonderful with my super shy and reclusive cat while I had back-to-back trips. She asked so many thoughtful questions during our meet and greet and provided such excellent care for him. I came home to a very happy and relaxed cat and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to check in on their kitties while they’re away. Thanks so much Amanda!

Maria was very friendly and responsive and clearly knew how to deal with cats! We have two and one can be a bit spicy if people don't respect her boundaries, but Maria knew how to approach her and even got her to seek out pets at the very first meet and greet 😂 I'd definitely get her to check in on my cats again when we're away!

Tianpei took very good care of Louis! hes usually wary of strangers but he took to Tianpei very easily which shows much about her calming nature! She sent so many photos of him everyday which made being away from him a little easier. Thank you for everything!

Chelsea came to do drop in visits for our kitty Luna and we were left feeling so happy for the care she was given our kitty. She was available on super short notice and really helped us out in a pinch. Highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for care for their furry friend. Luna definitely loved having her to play and care for✨💖

Thammaporn and Kannaphat are the best catsitters ever! They were so responsive and sent us incredible and comprehensive photos. Not only did they take great care of our cats, but they also went above and beyond in caring for our home too. We will book again and you should too!

I had a great experience with Nicholas. He was honest and transparent, and went well above expectations in caring for my cats. He really read what each of them needed. He spent extra time engaging my less social cat and got her playing more, and he adjusted my other cat's food, which helped stop his vomiting after a couple of days. I'll happily book him again whenever I leave the city.

Alexandra came to hang out with our two cats while we were out for the night since our guy just had surgery. It was a last minute booking and she was very kind and responsive. Our vet had to change our cat’s medication protocol and Alexandra was considerate and made sure he got everything he needed. Would definitely book with her again! Thanks Alexandra!

Anna provided the best care for my two cats while I was away! She is very professional and provides detailed updates and photos on a daily basis which gave me peace of mind on vacation. I highly recommend Anna if you require care for your pets, she’s the best! 👍😊

Harriet was a great help with my young kitten ,she was reliable,my kitten love her and the reason that I know he was waiting at the door the exact same time when she was suppose to come in to feed and play with him the next day, if you are looking for a great sitter you must get in touch with Harriet, awsome work

Yuliya is a gem! I was anxious about leaving my cat alone while I was away and Yuliya was so attentive and communicative it helped ease my anxiety. Her rover cards are detailed, she sent lots of pictures and even brought some of her own treats. I highly recommend Yuliya and will definitely look forward to her taking care of my cat again in the future.

Varsha is incredible! My cat is very skittish and anxious and really struggles with people - she usually runs and hides but on the first visit they bonded and my cat is now obsessed with her! She's a cat whisperer. Very communicative and accommodating too! Instantly knew I could trust her, will absolutely be booking again as my cat will need another fix!
