About: I win over their hearts by love and understand them. All my daycare cannine go home happy and ready for a good night sleep at home. I love them all. ❤️ I enjoy walking along with dogs. They are explorers. It is the best routine for both human and dogs to stay healthy mentally and physically. I live in a pet friendly building and my dog can be a companion of yours. We love walking around our neighbourhood and different parks.
“They took a very good care of my cat! They know exactly how to play with and care for cats! Normally Baby is shy but they got along so well. Highly recommend! Definitely going to re-book!”

“Marta was incredibly kind, caring, and professional. She was responsive to all our needs for our many pets. She even won over our very anxious cat who hides for most pet sitters! She was great with our rabbit too!”

“Nataliia took great care of our two cats while we were away. She followed all instructions and sent pictures/updates on how they were doing. Would definitely use her again next time we need a catsitter!”

“Huge thank you for looking after Lemi and sending me updates. She was far less anxious when I got home so she was clearly happy with your visits. Thank you as well for doing my dishes, that was such a delightful surprise to come home to after a long day of travel and clearly an example of how much you care.”

About: I have had dogs on and off my entire life. I adopted an older dog in my twenties who had severe arthritis and cared for him until his final days. This gave me hands-on experience with senior care and medication administration. I have house sat for my family and friend’s dogs throughout the years and given the dogs medication whenever it was needed. I have also been on many walks, runs and hikes with dogs and am able to handle high-energy dogs. My partner and I currently own a dog who is anxious and has some separation anxiety, and so I have a lot of patience and can handle more nervous/anxious dogs. Because of his anxiousness we are almost always with him and have a very homebody lifestyles with tons of positive reinforcement and desensitization techniques. I work as a flight attendant Monday to Wednesday's, and the rest of the time I am home. Whenever I am home I am fully available for pet sitting, dog walking and house drop ins. I mostly spend my days off going for long walks along the seawall, running, camping and enjoying time at home with my dog. I have a very flexible schedule with a lot of time off so it allows me to be fully present for any dog care. I currently live in an apartment in Fairview with easy access to the outdoors. There is a dog park about 10 minutes away from my place along with the seawall for walks. I live in a quiet neighbourhood that is very dog friendly. There is a vet at a 10 minute walk if ever it was needed.
“Really appreciate Madison’s care for our puppy. Communication was clear and easy, and Orson was clearly in experienced, caring hands. I have no reservations recommending Madison!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life and had a rescue pug for 10 years. He sadly passed away in 2024 at 18 years old. I have dog sat for others in the past and volunteer at the BCSPCA looking after shelter dogs.I currently work full-time at a dog friendly hotel. I work full time (currently a 3pm-11pm position) but maintained a good balance looking after my senior pug Milo on my own. I was able to make it home from work right away in the evenings to care for him. Dogs health, enrichment and well-being is a top priority. Healthy dog = happy life! I dog sit in the clients home as where I live in Vancouver is not pet friendly, unfortunately. I'm big on communication and getting to know the dogs routine and how the dog mom and/or dad wants things done. Trust is a huge factor. Without it, you don’t really have a solid foundation.
“Thank you, Danica! From the start, Danica was responsive and easy to communicate with. She set up a meet and greet to meet my animals ahead of time and ensure things would be a good fit. Danica has a calming, safe presence and my animals felt at ease around her. She is highly reliable, kind, considerate and truly made me feel like my animals were with a family member. I will absolutely reach out to her as my first choice should I require animal care in the future :-)”

“Priscilla was fantastic! She did drop-in visits at my home for Bluey and Star, and everything went perfectly. Communication was easy and I felt completely at ease while I was away. When I returned, both cats were content and happy, which says a lot. Priscilla ensured they got their wet food and checked that everything was okay in the apartment. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter!”

“So appreciative of Mila’s drop in visit with our puppy! She is a great communicator and kept me updated. She is clearly an animal lover. When we had our meet and greet I knew instantly Orson would be well taken care of :)”

“Melissa responded very quickly to my short notice request and was incredible with my pups!! She sent videos and pictures of the visit which really made me happy!! I will definitely reach out to her again ☺️”
“Kazuko took care of my cat, Teddy, for just over a week, and I couldn't be happier with her care of him! She was flexible and quick to set up time to come visit the home and consistently went above and beyond to ensure Teddy was cared for and the home remained clean. She was kind, and gave tons of daily photos and updates, also being proactive in suggesting and thinking about how she could make sure Teddy was having an even better time while I was away. I would certainly recommend her and will definitely be rebooking for my next trip! Thank you Kazuko!”

About: My wife and I have years of experience taking care of dogs. We love them. But we ensure that we love dogs in the ways that they receive love. Structure, exercise, cuddles, and calm, consistent leadership. I am well experienced in dog training, canine behaviour, and am confident working with dogs of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments. My wife has worked for Global Pet Foods, and thus is experienced in dog nutrition and care. Together, we have raised & trained a beautiful female Vizsla named Sage. Our work schedule is quite flexible, so we are able to go out for walks or drop in for home visits. Rain or shine we love a good walk! We adhere to the guidelines given to us by the owners, as they know their dogs best. Upon that, we give dogs in our care plenty of structure, exercise, training, and attention. We also ensure the dogs stay well-nourished and protected while they are under our care. Responsibility & love is what we strive to provide.
“Klara pet sat my cat goose for a couple days. Our trip even got cut short and she was on standby just incase I was delayed. From the moment we met her we knew she was the one for the job. She was caring, thoughtful and had excellent communication. The daily reports were detailed with photo and videos to accompany. It was so great to know and see how happy my fur ball was during their visits. Highly recommend!”

“We had complete peace of mind during our recent travels with Daphne taking care of our two cats. She did daily check ins for us and provided updates and photos. She managed a couple hiccups with our door lock and indoor door hinge with prompt and clear communication which I was impressed by. She also went above and beyond and tidied up a toilet paper mess our kittens made. When you meet Daphne you can tell she really cares deeply for animals. We came home to two happy kitties.”

About: Hello, I'm Jenny! I have had the pleasure of owning and caring for two amazing dogs: Scruffy, a Maltipoo, and Tali, a Husky. With Scruffy, I learned the importance of gentle care for small breeds, providing proper grooming, walks, and tailored nutrition. Tali, my current dog, is a rescue with a cleft paw! She has taught me so much about adaptability, and how each dog has different needs. My experience with Scruffy and Tali has given me insight into the unique needs of different breeds. I prioritize individualized care, considering their preferences, limitations, and emotional well-being. Thank you for considering me. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your pets! I have an interesting schedule at the moment. I am available on weekends, evenings after 5 pm, all day Tuesday, and the morning on Mondays and Wednesdays. As a pet sitter, I prioritize the comfort and well-being of the pets. In clients' homes, I maintain routines and follow instructions closely, ensuring consistency. I spend quality time with pets, offering play, walks, and companionship. Cleanliness is important, so I clean up after them promptly. If wanted I like to communicate by providing updates and sending photos to pet owners. My goal is to provide a nurturing and loving environment, tailored to each pet's needs.
About: Nurturing a Pet Haven: My Journey in Animal Care From the wagging tails of ten dogs—three of whom have crossed the rainbow bridge—to the gentle flutter of bird wings and the serene swims of turtles and fish, my home has been a sanctuary for diverse pets. Each day, I craft nutritious home-cooked meals, tailored to their needs, while meticulously managing their medications and grooming routines. This daily ritual is more than a task; it’s a labor of love, ensuring that every creature in my care thrives and feels cherished. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to take sittings on weekdays as I work on weekends. I can sometimes contribute on weekends too. I will be doing the duties at client’s home with complete secure sitting. I can provide valid background check and profile info and with few references.

Kayla went above and beyond my expectations! She made me feel so at ease leaving my bunny in her care and took the time to play with him and send me tons of pics. She exudes kindness and is a true animal lover. It felt like leaving him with family. Highly recommend!

Daphne is an absolutely amazing kitty-sitter and took such great care of my little guy while I was on vacation. She seems something of a cat-whisperer and he was so excited to see her every day. This was my first time away for an extended period (10 days) and having Daphne as his caretaker completely alleviated my anxieties about being away from him. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat⭐️

Keyan was great! She took such good care of Niko and provided detailed notes and lots of pictures after every visit. I felt really comfortable knowing he was being well taken care of while I was away. Niko really liked her, I honestly feel like he’s still looking for her to come check on him lol. I’d definitely recommend her!

Nicole was great! This was my second time booking home visits with her, and she took excellent care of my cat, Poe. She clearly knows cats well and made sure Poe had a clean and comfortable environment during every visit. I really appreciated the updates and had complete peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely book with Nicole again!

Devon was the perfect pet sitter for my cat Edna! Firstly, she took the time to do a meet and greet so we could meet her before going on vacation which meant a lot just to know my kitty would be in good hands. She communicated amazingly and stuck to our agreed on schedule and let me know of any changes well in advance. During her visits she sent cute videos and photos, and truly went above and beyond in caring for Edna. It was obvious that Edna adored her and I couldn’t be happier. I’m super grateful and will absolutely be booking with Devon again!

We've had Ivanna for two separate vacations now, taking care of our two cats. Each time we've felt completely comfortable with leaving the kitties in her care. She is very communicative and sent great pics and updates. She also took care of a little fruit-fly situation from some forgotten fruit for us-- she definitely cares about the animals and their people! I will definitely be trying to book her for our next vacation.

Amanda is great. We use her often to look after our cat Lulu who has both diabetes and a thyroid condition. Amanda is able to do all Lulu’s medication (even when she’s crabby about it) and gives Lulu lots of pets and cuddles when she’s in the mood for it. Highly recommend her as a sitter for short or long trips.

There are 4,503 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Vancouver. About 85% of Vancouver sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Vancouver stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Vancouver choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
