About: I’ve taken care of my own sweet dog for the last eight years, and my friends and families pets periodically for the last four years - I’ve loved animals for my whole life! About: We've owned family dogs my whole life. Currently, we have a 12-year-old Shih-tzu, Kallie, and a 7-year-old Akita mix, Jasper. I have been heavily involved with the care and training of both dogs, while our Akita mix required more attention. Jasper, who is now a loving and friendly pup, was extremely reactive and a flight risk. Through copious amounts of positive reinforcement training, I am thrilled to say he is a confident and pleasant dog, who has become an amazing companion in all activities. Jasper has also had some complex health issues, which has familiarized me with various means of medical-related care, and feeding methods (he keeps us on our toes!). Additionally, I have dog sat for numerous people in my home community, most often a pair of rambunctious Siberian husky mixes—a crazy duo that stole my heart. I have recently relocated to Vancouver for my studies, with my three cats. Since moving, I miss our family dogs immensely, as they were an instrumental part of my day-to-day.
