About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was 7 years old! I’ve helped walk, feed, bathe, play with, and care for the pets of not only my cousins and friends, but also multiple people in my community. I have experience working with puppies as well as caring for senior pets. I’ve always loved animals and truly enjoy spending as much time with them as I can. I’m currently working part time, so I have plenty of time for pet care! I am available after 5:30 pm on days that I work, which is about 3 times a week. I always have Mondays off and frequently have Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays completely free. I have experience working with pets of all temperaments and have learned well how to read their body language. I am committed to making sure that pets feel comfortable around me and understanding what they want, whether that’s attention, play, pets, or space.
About: I have 8 years of pet care experience and I’m also the mom of a lovely 5-year-old toy poodle. Caring for my own dog every day has taught me how important patience, consistency, safety, and affection are in a pet’s routine. I have experience with feeding, walking, playtime, basic grooming, and understanding different dog personalities. I know every pet has their own comfort level, so I always take time to help them feel safe, relaxed, and loved! I am currently working from home 3 days a week on weekdays and free on weekends as well. Caring for your fur baby fit naturally into my routine because caring for my own toy poodle is already part of my daily life. I enjoy spending time with dogs, going on walks, and giving pets the attention they need. I will make sure each booking has enough time for proper care, play, walks, and as many updates as you prefer!:) I have a sweet 5-year-old toy poodle who can keep your pet company. She is spayed, gentle, and loves making furry friends. I will always follow your instructions carefully and make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while they are with me. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind:)!
“Mandy and Jacky did a WONDERFUL job taking care of my two kitties, they were super communicative and took so many adorable photos and videos. I would recommend them to anyone!!!”

About: Now accepting bookings for Fall 2026. Located near YVR Airport. Perfect for dogs who enjoy being the only dog. We don't have any other pets living with us, and we care for one animal at a time. We (Ryan and Margy) have dog sat for our friends and family. Most of our experience includes taking care of our family dog Paris (yorkie poo), various poodle mixes and senior dogs. We prefer to work with one small to medium-sized dog, with no health conditions and potty trained. We do not have experience with dogs that have special needs. We are fairly active people and would love to take your dog out for long walks and play fetch. We integrate pet care into our daily lives by making your dog’s routine part of our own. Feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddles are all part of the day — just like they would be at home. We prioritize a clean, comfortable space and believe in creating a loving, structured environment that supports both their physical and emotional well-being. Whether we’re caring for pets in our home or theirs, we focus on comfort, safety, and routine. In our home, pets have their own cozy spaces to rest and play, and we keep things calm and familiar. When we’re in a client’s home, we follow their usual routine closely to help pets feel secure and at ease. Every visit is personalized with plenty of love, attention, and tail wags. On the first day, we spend time observing your beloved pet and making sure they are comfortable. Margy works from home, so she will be the one to spend the majority of the time with your pet.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old—both my own family dogs and my neighbors’—so being around animals feels natural and comforting to me. With my Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training, I bring a calm, safety-focused mindset and stay attentive to any changes in your pet’s health or behavior. I’m especially patient with shy or anxious pets and let them build trust at their own pace. I also have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, from playful structure to gentle, supportive care. You’ll receive clear communication and regular photo updates, and your pet will enjoy a clean, quiet, peaceful environment where they feel safe and loved. I'm currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time and flexibility for pet care. I’m home often and can easily fit in walks, feeding, playtime, and one-on-one attention throughout the day. Your pet will always have someone present, patient, and attentive with them. I offer boarding in a calm, clean home with a large fenced backyard, perfect for safe play and fresh-air breaks. Pets follow their normal routine—meals, walks, playtime, and quiet rest—so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m home often and give plenty of attention, supervision, and photo updates. Your pet will have a safe, spacious, and loving place to stay.
“Keyan is the best sitter ever!!! We had a great experience with her. Keyan was very responsible, caring, and attentive to our cat’s needs. She played with him well, kept him happy and comfortable, and made us feel confident that he was in good hands. she takes adorable photos too 🥰🥰. She also considered our cat's needs in places we don't even noticed before. Overall it was a excellent experience! Highly recommended & Would happily book with her again!”

“Iris is such a caring and lovely individual. She made sure to always send lots photos/videos and connect via text providing lots of details about how my cat is doing. I felt very comfortable and safe leaving my cat in Iris' care. Most importantly Iris got the approval of my cat who is very picky and with other sitters stayed hidden. My cat comes out every time for Iris and that makes me feel even better that my cat was feeling safe.”

About: I was raised in a pet-loving family and have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all life stages—from newborn puppies to senior dogs. I’ve even helped my own dog deliver her babies, and now as my doggy siblings have gotten older, I care for them through challenges like dementia and cataracts. Growing up with three doggy siblings has taught me exactly how to handle different personalities, energy levels, and special needs. I'm currently working part-time, which I can spend lots of play time with your furry family member. I value not only giving them food and water, but also that spiritual happiness, so play dates are for sure! When caring for pets, safety is my number one priority. I always make sure the environment is secure, check that doors and gates are locked, and keep any dangerous items out of reach. To give your pet the patient care they deserve.
“We have booked Philippe several times, last year and this year and every time he took exceptional care of our fur baby Nuri! He took the time to play with her and she was always happy and fed after each visit. Would definitely recommend to book again and again!”

About: I grew up with my grandmother’s female cat, who I considered my big sister, and my parents have three dogs at home. I currently care for my own rescue cat, Maulie, who I adopted off the street. Over the years I’ve also looked after pets for family and friends, handling feeding, walking, and overnight care. My philosophy is simple: I treat cats like guests, not pets to be managed. I respect their independence fully — there’s nowhere off-limits in my home. Countertops, beds, top of the fridge — wherever they feel like being, that’s where they can be. I don’t change their behaviors or train them. You’ll pick up the same cat you dropped off. I feed manually — wet food, dry food, or whatever you prefer — because I believe in watching how they eat and adjusting accordingly. No auto-feeders. I want them to feel attended to, not processed. I use a Litter-Robot so they always have a clean bed of litter. And they sleep wherever they like, including on beds if that’s their thing. I understand how it feels to be away and not able to care for your pet — everywhere you go reminds you of your babies. I don’t have fancy facilities made for professional cat care, just a second home for your meow meow babies. I work from home, which means I’m home most days and able to give cats plenty of attention, playtime, and consistent routines, so your pet is never left without care. I live in a calm, family home with my daughter and our rescue cat, Maulie, so your cat will be joining a household that’s used to gentle routines and lots of attention. I believe in indoor-only cats — they stay inside, always safe. I use a Litter-Robot to make sure litter is clean every single time, and I manually feed every meal to make sure nutrition is on point. The apartment is bright and fully windowed. I won’t let your cat onto the balcony unless you prefer it — and even then, they’ll only be out there when I’m physically present with them. The space is quiet, safe, and pet-friendly — just a calm second home while you’re away. Maulie is a friendly, socialized cat who spends most of her time sleeping. She gets along with almost every cat, and if she’s not in the mood to play, she has her own secret hideaway spot where she goes to be left undisturbed — so your cat always has space to decompress too.
“Stacie was very responsive and thorough during each visit. She sent us multiple pictures and videos of our pets, which was so nice to see when we were missing them. We recommend her!”

About: I’ve cared for both dogs and cats of different ages, so I’m comfortable with all kinds of needs. I’m patient, gentle, and treat every dog/cat like my own — with love, attention, and lots of care. I have a flexible schedule, so it’s easy for me to fit pet care into my daily routine. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening feedings, I’m happy to work around what your pet needs. Spending time with animals is honestly one of the best parts of my day. Whether I’m in my home or yours, safety and comfort come first. I always follow your pet’s routine closely, keep their space clean, and make sure they’re never left unattended in unsafe situations. I take time to build trust with each pet so they feel relaxed and cared for — like they’re right at home.
“Josh dropped in on my cat for one week. He did a great job with feeding and cleaning up after a couple of messes. I found Josh to be very responsible and responsive to messages, between and during his visits. I will definitely consider bringing Josh in the next time I'm away.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Richmond
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Above and beyond – highly recommend! This was my first time using Rover for in-home cat sitting, and I was really nervous before I left. But Liping made me feel completely at ease from start to finish! What touched me most was that she sent tons of videos and photos every single day – and not just random shots. She captured those lively moments of my cats playing, eating, and napping, and even included pictures of the weather outside to reassure me. I was in a different time zone, but every morning I woke up to a detailed "daily report" from the night before – it honestly felt like I had never left. Communication was flawless. Before I left, she made time for a video call to go over feeding routines, medication locations, and emergency contacts. After each visit, she’d immediately update me on the cats' mood, how much they ate, and their litter box habits. When she had even a small question – like noticing a different bag design for the same kibble – she snapped a photo and double‑checked with me. So thoughtful! Her attention to detail was spot on: fresh water, food, and litter every day, plus she kindly brought in my packages. The sweetest part? She spent at least half an hour playing with the cats each visit. My shy orange tabby actually came up to her for pets on the second day! When I came back, both cats had glossy coats and were calm and happy – they didn’t seem stressed at all, unlike some boarding experiences. For a new sitter, Liping’s professionalism and care rival (or even surpass) many seasoned pros. This experience gave me total peace of mind, and I’ll definitely book her first next time. I genuinely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving pet sitter!

We really loved Kenyan she is very professional and punctual. My pet Luna really loved her attention and care. Every visit from Kenyan was amazing and in details with photos and records of everything that she did to Luna. We really recommend her as a pet sitter. For sure we will book her again. Thank you so much for thanking such a great care of our baby Luna. 🐱

I really appreciated the real-time updates during the walk, including messages about how Monica was doing along with photos and videos. It was very reassuring to see her happy and relaxed throughout the walk. The photos and videos were also beautifully taken and made for a great keepsake. Overall, a very positive experience and I would definitely book again.
Tianxin took great care of my cats during her drop-in visits. She was responsible, attentive, and made sure they were well fed and had plenty of playtime. I really appreciated how reliable and thoughtful she was throughout the booking — it gave me peace of mind knowing my cats were in good hands. I would definitely book with her again!

Kateryna was fantastic! One of my cats requires oral medication which can sometimes be difficult, but she had no issues with this and both of my cats seemed super content around her. I especially appreciated her photo updates with each visit! Would absolutely recommend her services, and consider her for my own future cat-sitting needs :)

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Richmond choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
