About: With 14 years of experience caring for a Pekingese—a traditional Chinese toy breed with a lion-like appearance—and volunteering at the RAPS Cat Adoption Center, I have developed a deep understanding of both dog and cat care. I currently volunteer as a foster parent with two organizations including bcspca, providing temporary homes for dogs until they find their forever families. Fluent in English and Mandarin, I can effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients. My commitment to personalized, compassionate care ensures that each pet receives the attention and love they deserve. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to care for cats and dogs. I take dogs out for potty breaks at least three times a day. I only board one dog or cat at a time—unless your pet enjoys socializing—ensuring they receive my full attention without the risk of conflicts or fights with other animals. I live right above a large community park that’s perfect for dogs. It has a big grassy area for play, an off-leash dog park for more freedom, and plenty of dog waste bag stations for convenience. The park is a popular spot for dog owners, providing a safe and well-equipped environment for dogs to exercise, socialize, and have fun. It’s an ideal setup for caring for dogs/cats who love outdoor activities. In addition to the park right below my building, there’s a larger off-leash dog park at the Aberdeen Community Park, just a five-minute walk away. This means there are multiple great spots nearby for dogs to play, exercise, and explore, making it an ideal area for dogs to have fun outdoor activities.

We did a quick meet and greet, letting them know that Jasper could be quite anxious (he has separation anxiety) and took time to get use to new people. Plus he could be quite vocal and alert towards other dogs and sounds. Both of them weren't fazed by his quirks :). During this first stay, we received regular updates with his photos/video clips. These really put our minds at ease. We look forward to having Jasper stayed with them again.”

About: I am a big animal lover. My family has always adopted homeless dog since I was a child and I also donate to the shelters. I finally have my own home with a large ground floor backyard as big as a dog park. As a bonus, there is an even bigger dog park by the riverside which we also go for walks daily. Our family has cared for dogs of all ages from different background, our genuine love and attention to animal tends to break the ice from initial meeting. My husband and I are both working from home full time so we have plenty of time to care for and give attention to the dogs whether it is full day on the weekends or afternoon snacks and play breaks during the weekdays. Our time is flexible catering to the dog’s need. We live in a complex on the ground floor with a spacious private gated backyard. Beyond the gate is a bigger garden with grass fields where dogs can freely run around. Across our home one side is a big park and on the opposite side is a riverside walk. There is also a big dog park beside the Oval ice rink which we go for walks daily as well.
