About: I'm a dog and cat owner looking to care for other furry friends! I'm a proud owner of Louis my sweet little Bichon-poo and a friendly cat. I’ve been a dog lover since I was a child and have been around dogs my whole life. I truly love spending time with dogs and feel that it’s the dog's world and I’m just living in it. I have experience with service dogs, and experience handling reactive dogs so I can work with your dog's needs on our walks - just let me know your plans/needs! Dogs come first in my house. I’m always excited to take my dog on a hike, walk or puppy play date. I'm more than happy to do brief drop-ins for your pup or kitty throughout the day and give them some love and attention before you come home. Let your dog be spoiled by me! =Meet and Greet= Feel free to send me any inquiries and we can set up a meet-and-greet so that we can better cater to you and your pet’s needs. = House Sitting = Please note that I do not offer overnight house sitting but can be in your home with your pet for 8 hours at a time. If you would like more frequent check ins a series of drop ins may be a better option. = Boarding = I can provide potty breaks every 4-8 hours and your dog must be crate trained as that is the safest option for both my personal pets and yours. Rest assured the maximum amount of time they will be crated during the day is 5 hours while I am working. Your pet must be safe around cats as there is one in my home alongside my dog. Note that if you require pick up/drop off a service charge will be added. I'm currently working part-time as I'm a university student so my schedule is flexible so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pets! I'm very familiar with safe routes for walks in the neighborhood. Client's homes are always respected, and I can easily crate pups who need it. As long as instructions are given, your pet and your home are in safe hands.

About: I am a former dog mom who raised a female Shih Tzu from a puppy, and I firmly believe that love and intentional care help animals live longer, healthier lives. Her name was Java and she lived past 15 years and remained active well into her senior years. Some of my most cherished memories with her included dog walking, baths, car rides, bonding time, and trips to the park. I didn’t treat her as just a dog—I treated her as family because I truly loved her. In addition to my own dog, I have cared for other family dogs, nurturing them from puppyhood to adulthood with the same level of care and dedication. I have experience supporting dogs with anxiety and shyness, as my own dog experienced this and overcame it through building trust, providing positive reinforcement, playtime, and bonding activities that I provided. I love nature and adventurous activities, which allows me to actively engage and enrich the lives of furry friends. As a nurse, I am naturally empathetic, compassionate, and committed to providing loving and patient care. I live by the principle of not doing harm but always doing good—this extends not only to humans but also to every dog I care for. I aim to provide services that are tailored to furry friends, because every furry friend is unique and has different needs. I am passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of furry friends because even though they cannot speak, they truly understand and feel when they are loved. My goal is not only to provide services but also to make a lasting, meaningful impact in the life of every furry friend I care for! Each service is personalized with unique care, some services include, Puppy Training 🐶 Experience with dogs at all life stages—from puppy to senior 🐶🐕 Experience caring for sick dogs🌡 and administering oral medications Enriching activities such as dog walks and playtime⛱️🏕🐩🐕🐶 Personalized services including progress reports📋 seasonal health brochures, meeting hygienic needs, and so much more🥰 I am a nurse currently in graduate school, which means I have flexible weekly hours and can provide dog services on a schedule that works well for you. I also offer weekend boarding with advance booking. I can also accommodate last‑minute bookings as well. I provide safe, personalized care in your home, following your preferences to ensure your pet is protected and your home is secure. You can count on me to treat your pet with love!

About: I was raised in a pet-loving family and have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all life stages—from newborn puppies to senior dogs. I’ve even helped my own dog deliver her babies, and now as my doggy siblings have gotten older, I care for them through challenges like dementia and cataracts. Growing up with three doggy siblings has taught me exactly how to handle different personalities, energy levels, and special needs. I'm currently working part-time, which I can spend lots of play time with your furry family member. I value not only giving them food and water, but also that spiritual happiness, so play dates are for sure! When caring for pets, safety is my number one priority. I always make sure the environment is secure, check that doors and gates are locked, and keep any dangerous items out of reach. To give your pet the patient care they deserve.

Every animal has taught me something new about patience, attention, and love. What I bring isn't just a safe space to stay — it's genuine care. I pay attention to routines, moods, and what makes each animal feel at home. When your pet is with me, you'll never wonder if they're okay. They will be more than okay. 🤗 What you can expect ✅ Daily photo & video updates So you can see your pet happy in real time ✅Regular walks & playtime Tailored to your pet's energy level and needs ✅Treated like family Never just another booking — real attention, every day ✅Strict diet & routine care Your feeding and care instructions followed to the letter ✅Always reachable Quick responses & open communication throughout the stay ✅Multi-breed comfort From tiny Poms to big Huskies — all sizes welcome Working remotely provides me with a flexible schedule, allowing me to integrate pet care seamlessly into my daily routine. I’m available to care for dogs during afternoons and weekends, ensuring they receive the attention and companionship they need. This flexibility enables me to tailor my services to each pet’s unique requirements, providing personalized care that aligns with their routines and preferences. I provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for pets in my home. I ensure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection throughout the day. Since I work remotely, I can give them frequent potty breaks, walks, and attention. I also maintain a clean space, provide fresh water and meals on schedule, and follow any special care instructions from pet owners. Whether it’s cuddle time, interactive play, or a relaxing nap, I make sure each pet feels right at home.

This was my first experience using a dog walker, and Yue completely put my mind at ease. As a pet parent, it’s natural to feel anxious when you’re away from your dog, but Yue understood that from the start. He was incredibly proactive, keeping me updated throughout the walk with photos and messages, so I always knew what my dog was up to. I genuinely trust him with my pets. If you’re a pet parent who’s nervous about booking a dog walker or sitter for the first time, I can’t recommend Yue enough.

Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in Richmond. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Tip: Keep in mind that many cities in Canada require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance travelled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Richmond.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits, dog walking, and doggy day care. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find walkers in Richmond with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Richmond choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 85% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
