“Liudmila helped me out by taking my dog on a walk and she did a fantastic job. She took the time to learn about my dog's quirks and behaviour and included lots of photos on the rover card. She is punctual and an excellent communicator.”

“We, and most importantly, our dog Feivel, love Brooke! She’s very communicative with us every step of the way, learned all of Feivel’s quirks, and we felt very safe and comfortable knowing that she’s taking great care of our boy as if he were her own. Detailed and informative report cards, and observant care; she even caught our guy starting to experience a medical issue before we did! We’ll miss her, and hope we can book in again soon!!”

“Aiden has been picking Remi up for his daily walks for the last couple of months and does an amazing job! Professional, punctual, and great with my pup. 10 out of 10! Highly recommend!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog receives! Ruth is incredibly caring, sweet, and patient, which was exactly what we were looking for. It’s clear our dog feels the same way, she gets so excited every single time she arrives. We are very happy with her services and will definitely continue booking with her. Highly recommended! We are beyond satisfied with her care and look forward to many more walks in the future!”

“Jan is as always amazing with Bella, she takes care of the smallest things and Bella loves her❤️ She also always follows the instructions thoroughly. Thanks again Jan for the walk.”

About: I’ve grown up around many different types of animals, (including large & small dogs, cats, birds, etc.) and started actively doing pet care since I became a teenager. I love dogs of all shapes & sizes and have experience with both puppies & seniors! I am currently going to school at JCI in their makeup program, therefore am unfortunately unavailable Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. However, I am absolutely able to do all kinds of pet care on my days off! Always happy to meet a new furry friend :) I am unable to board any animals in my own home out of respect for the ones that already live here, but am more than willing to spend time getting to know pets in their own spaces!
“We're not sure who loves Claire more, us or our pup, Scooby! He is a dog with reactivity issues and fear of strangers, and Claire made him so comfortable and was able to connect with him with ease. We all definitely look forward to Claire's weekly walks!”

“Wonderful communicator, calm and confident with my two big shepherd dogs. Willing and proactive to work with her clients to meet the dogs needs. Amanda is a great addition to my dogs social lives and community:)”

About: I have experience caring for cats and dogs, as well as other pets and farm animals. I am particularly familiar with anxious, reactive dogs, and have cared for cats with medical conditions requiring daily treatment. I am currently taking courses at university and I often have morning, mid to late afternoon and evening availability. When house sitting, my classes keep me away from your pet for a maximum of 6 hours. I am happy to stay overnight, check in on your animals during the day, play with them, or take them out for walks. My first priority is always the animals in my care.
“I cannot thank Maria enough for taking care of my dog while I’m away. She followed my instructions to the letter, provided regular updates and went beyond what she was supposed to deliver. She’s very good with dogs; she understood my elderly dog’s needs, behaviors and patterns. I will reach out to her agan, and would confidently recommend her.”

“Bruna is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She treated my dog with respect and put Mika's comfort first. I am very happy to keep booking walks with Bruna.”

“Gunay is a wonderful dog walker. Very responsible and reliable. Highly recommend her. She’s very aware of and attentive with my dogs needs. They love her. Always lets me know how the dogs are doing and of any changes or concerns. I know my dogs will be well taken care of. Gunay has been very helpful. Especially when I’ve had to make changes due to appointments.”

“Jessica was lovely! She met my reactive dog a day before the scheduled walk to chat and get the keys to my apartment and I could tell that my little guy was going to be left in good hands. We talked about how she’s in the process of becoming a trainer so I was confident that she knew what she was doing with my small reactive dog. She followed the few instructions I left and provided me with adorable photos and a video of my little nugget. 10/10 recommend her and I’ll definitely be reaching out again for any future dog walking needs! Thank you again 🙏”

“Jorge has been excellent! He has been walking Theo for the past two weeks and has done an incredible job. He is always punctual, and every time Theo is dropped off, he's clean, tired, and happy. I highly recommend Jorge.”

About: I've had two labs, a pom, and italian greyhound/min pin mix so I'm experienced walking and caring for dogs of all sizes. I have dog sat for many friends and family and would love to help you with yours! I work from home and have a flexible schedule so it's easy for me to pop in and out to care for your furry family members! I'll treat your home like mine and clean up messes that I see. I'll make sure your pet is safe and cared for and communicate any concerns I have immediately.
About: I have been working with animals for over ten years, including regularly volunteering at local animal rescues, such as VOKRA and the BCSPCA. I can watch cats, dogs, bunnies, birds, and everything in between, but my specialty is cats and dogs. I am a high energy person who loves going on runs, and I love taking dogs with me. I often take my friend's and neighbour's dogs on hikes, and it's one of my favourite pastimes. I have been trained in pet care and animal CPR so I am confident in always ensuring your pet is healthy and safe. I work generally from home and I make my own hours, so stepping away to take care of pets is extremely easy for me. I also work in theatre consistently, but these hours are also staggered so my schedule is frequently very open. I have a three storey condo with two kitties living here. Personally I am more than happy to go to my clients home and watch their pets, both during the day and overnight to ensure they are looked after and safe. I live with two cats and my husband so I have plenty of time and ability to travel and stay in other places. I would love to meet you in person to make sure you feel safe with someone new watching your furry friend.

My dog Beso is very sensitive, anxious, and has a serious medical condition. As a dog mom, finding someone I completely trust isn't easy, but Gracie has been an absolute godsend. I have full confidence that Beso is in the very best hands with her. Gracie is incredibly attuned to Beso's needs and has excellent handling skills. She reinforces the training we're doing at home while making it fun and engaging for Beso. She's always on time, responds quickly to booking requests, sends thoughtful pupdates with lots of photos, and has been flawless with Beso's meals and medications. She's thorough, thoughtful, communicative, and genuinely cares. You can tell she absolutely loves what she does, and the dogs love her right back - Beso never wants to leave! Thank you, Gracie, for being the BEST walker and sitter we could ask for. I almost don't want to leave this review because I want to keep you all to ourselves! 😂 We love you! X
I’m so grateful to Ruth for how well she takes care of my fur baby Ruby. She’s very reliable and communicative and Ruby loved her from the moment they met. She has a very sweet and caring demeanour and you can tell that she has a true love for animals. I really appreciate all the photos of Ruby she sends that give me peace of mind knowing that she is happy and well cared for. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter/walker!

Erin is a lifesaver! She came and visited Beans twice today even with our last minute notice which was so appreciated! She did such an amazing rover card for her with details and photo updates! She is very great at handling dogs and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Tania and Eduardo are so kind and caring that finding them on here felt like hitting the jackpot! Even though Beep (Francine) is a nervous dog with separation anxiety, I knew she was in great hands with them. 💖 Sure enough, she warmed up far faster than she typically does and they sent me multiple photos of her living her best life on her adventure with them. 🐾😊 Their genuine love for animals is apparent immediately and their kind and calming nature isn’t just reserved for fur babies! I was late for an appointment and very frazzled. They completely went the out of their way to help me out and calmed me down in the process. I can’t thank them enough for their wonderful care. They are my #1 choice for Beep’s spare humans.💖

Gloria was great at handling and accommodating to my very nervous rescued dog on his first walk without me. She made sure to bring a collar that tightens up if he tried to run, since I let her know that my dog has tried to run away in the past, and one paw has slipped out of his harness while I was walking him. This extra security measure gave me a lot of peace of mind and shows how Gloria will always put my dog’s safety first. She’s very patient, and we’re both optimistic that with time and exposure, my dog will build a closer bond with her. I’m excited to see how my dog keeps growing his confidence and trust! Thank you Gloria :)

I can’t recommend Aneeka enough as a dog walker! 🐾 she have been absolutely wonderful with our dog Buddy—always reliable, caring, and so attentive. It gave me real peace of mind knowing my dog was in such good hands. You can truly tell she loves what she do, and it shows in the way she connects with my dog. We’re so grateful for all the help and care she provided. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and kind for their furry friend!

Qi gets so excited whenever she arrives. Reliable and caring. She treats Qi like family and always send updates and photos after each walk, It gives us total peace of mind. Justine is very dependable and trustworthy — I never worry when my Qi is in her care. Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in New Westminster choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
