About: Hi! I'm a dependable and caring pet sitter who treats every pet like my own. As the owner of an Australian Shepherd, I have experience caring for active, intelligent dogs that need plenty of exercise, attention, and mental stimulation. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I'm committed to providing a safe, fun, and stress-free experience while keeping their routine consistent. I'll make sure your pet gets the care, companionship, and attention they deserve, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages along the way. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m currently working afternoons and evenings leaving me with lots of time during the day to care for your pets! With a hyper active dog myself I already am out and about regularly for big walks. I believe every dog deserves a great walk, and I'll make sure your pup gets the exercise, enrichment, and care they need while you're away.
“Linn has always been very accommodating and has accepted last minute bookings when I'm discombobulated! She makes Marley very happy on her walks, its relieving that I have someone reliable to help walk my doggo!”

“Laura is very friendly and very responsive to all of our pets needs. She communicates very well and it’s obvious that she loves the animals she takes care of. Would highly recommend!”

“Carol was amazing and really helped me out - I am usually very active but have injured my back which makes it so hard to take care of Pixie. Carol rescued us. She is very personable and clearly comfortable and experienced with dogs. I would not hesitate to hire Carol again. Thank you Carol and Rover.”

“Bailey and I immediately liked Samantha! She is a really sweet person. I appreciate that she turns on the air conditioning for Bailey when I am away at work. She is patient with my senior dog and that is exactly what I needed!”

About: My dad was a dog trainer so I’ve been around and taken care of dog my whole life. I also have taken care of and walked many of my family and neighbours dogs. I’m available full-time, Monday-Friday. I’m just finishing up a summer job, then going back to school online so I have a lot of free time. I have a large fence field in front of my house, and there are two dogs parks near by. So there is lots of space to run and play. I find walks and getting outside no matter the weather to be important for keep all dogs and other pets happy and healthy.
“Klara was great with our dog Olive. She was very communicative and asked questions about our dog while we were away. She also sent daily updates with pictures and videos of our dog. If you're in her area, we would highly recommend Klara”

About: I have accumulated weeks of volunteer experience at numerous sanctuaries in the lower mainland and at my friend's sanctuary in Mexico. There is a wide range of animals to care for, including cats and dogs. I have cared for friends' dogs and cats over the years, always giving them the most love and attention you could possibly ask for! I feel very connected to animals, so their comfort and happiness is of upmost importance to me. You can rest easy knowing your fur babies are in loving and caring hands while you're not around :) My schedule is all over the place, as I work a couple different jobs, so I am available to pop in and out to care for animals, to give them walks or check on them and give them food and snuggles. I am definitely respectful in a client's home; I keep the place tidy and don't have any guests. I am always attentive to the animals, and make sure they are comfortable, fed, snuggled, and loved.
“Rachel is super accommodating and worked around our schedule, which was very much appreciated. She was reliable and I felt very comfortable with her helping us out!”

“Mila was excellent!! she was so attentive to our pups needs, and made sure to check in before leaving our house to ensure that he was left as happy as can be. He enjoyed his walk with her, and she was extremely responsive to all of our requests. I highly recommend her! We will definitely be rebooking her to walk our sweet pup again.”

“We couldn’t be happier with Christina! Juno, our super active lab, absolutely adores her. She’s patient, reliable, and even works on Juno’s walk training during their outings. We’re so grateful for her care —highly recommend!”

“Danica has been wonderful with Macchiato! She walked him, stayed to play, and kept him company while we were at work. He’s been happy and relaxed in her care, and we really appreciate the updates. We feel confident knowing he’s in good hands!”

About: I grew up with dogs in the family, have trained puppies, cared for elderly dogs, and have worked with all kinds of breeds. I love dogs as much as they love me. I wake up early, walk the dog directly after breakfast and make sure to get an additional park play in the afternoon. I work from home and ensure it's balanced around proper care for the dog. At my home, I take the dogs out for a walk or hike in the morning, feed them at noon and take them to the park around 1:30 for a play and socialize with other dogs.
About: I would love the opportunity to spend time with and look after a dog. In the past I’ve take care of my friends dog and I wish to have a dog of my own some day in the future till then I would be glad to help you out and let you have a little freedom without worrying about your baby I’m currently working a daytime job as a baker and have some free time in the evening. I am available on my weekends and most evenings. I would take each dog’s need into consideration and give them special attention they require. I am willing to take time and pay attention to their needs and dietary preferences
About: I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care, and I’ll treat your pup like family. I first started caring for a family dog 10 years ago, and I currently have a German Shepherd, so I’m comfortable with energetic dogs, strong breeds, daily routines, walks, playtime, and giving them the attention they need. I also work in a veterinary clinic, which has helped me become calm, observant, and confident around animals. I’m comfortable giving medication and watching for small changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, bathroom habits, or other symptoms that may need attention. If anything unusual happens, I know how to stay calm, communicate clearly, and respond quickly. Whether your dog needs a walk, feeding, medication, playtime, cuddles, or a calm companion, I’ll follow your instructions carefully and keep you updated so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I have a flexible work schedule, which allows me to fit pet care into my daily routine easily. I’m available to care for pets before or after work depending on the booking, and I always make sure I have enough time to follow each pet’s routine carefully. After work, I’m happy to provide feeding, fresh water, walks, litter cleaning, playtime, medication if needed, and updates for pet parents. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll do my best to keep your pet’s schedule as close to normal as possible. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, fresh water, medication, walks, litter cleaning, playtime, and house rules. I make sure doors, windows, gates, and leashes are secure, and I always pay attention to each pet’s comfort level, routine, and personality. Because I work in a veterinary clinic, I’m very observant with pets and comfortable noticing small changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, bathroom habits, or other symptoms. If anything seems unusual, I will stay calm, contact the owner, and respond quickly if care is needed. I respect every client’s home and treat each pet like my own. I’m patient with shy pets, careful with energetic pets, and happy to provide updates so pet parents know their pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Xiatong is an excellent dog walker. She took the time to get to know Cali before our booking. She was reliable and Cali loved her. She sent pictures and a little report of number of pees and poos. I felt completely safe with leaving Cali in her hands and giving her access to my apartment. She is a great communicator. Thank you Xiaotong!

Maide has been taking Boba out for his daily potty breaks, and she’s been wonderful. She is always reliable, punctual, and very caring with him.Boba is comfortable around her, and I really appreciate the updates and photos she sends after each visit. Sergei was fantastic with Latte! He was incredibly accommodating and took the time to let her get comfortable with him at her own pace. His patience and understanding helped build her confidence in him so quickly, and it was clear he genuinely cared about making her feel safe. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him!

Karli took great care of our dog Hansel and cat Mabel. She arrived on time and sent us a detailed update of their visit, and she took lots of great photos! We were able to relax knowing they were in good hands. We’d definitely hire Karli again and recommend her highly to others! Thanks Karli!!!

I was really anxious to leave Latte with someone new because she started to only want to be walked by me or her regular dog walker and no one else but it could have not gone better with Viktoriia! She was very professional, timely, calm and confident. She even brought back-up games to play with Latte in case she got stubborn on her walk! I highly recommend booking with Viktoriia! 🐾

Valentyna was amazing with Odin! She was kind, caring, and made sure he was comfortable and happy. I really appreciated the photo update it gave me peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Communication was great, and everything went smoothly. I would absolutely trust Valentyna with Odin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog walker. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Vancouver choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
