About: Grew up with pets, raised a motley crew of pets, volunteered with the SPCA, and an animal sanctuary in Bolivia. Experience with puppies, seniors, and nervous dogs and cats. My time is to myself these days. I’m focusing on my health and am on a work leave. I would prioritize your pets when I’m sitting. I care for pets in my home as I would my own pets. They have access to all rooms. They can sit on the couch. Sleeping space is delegated to the living room if it’s a crate situation. However, I keep my bedroom door open, and pets can choose their spot. Feeding takes place in the kitchen, and my neighbourhood is great for walks with a dog park a couple of blocks away.

About: We've owned family dogs my whole life. Currently, we have a 12-year-old Shih-tzu, Kallie, and a 7-year-old Akita mix, Jasper. I have been heavily involved with the care and training of both dogs, while our Akita mix required more attention. Jasper, who is now a loving and friendly pup, was extremely reactive and a flight risk. Through copious amounts of positive reinforcement training, I am thrilled to say he is a confident and pleasant dog, who has become an amazing companion in all activities. We hired Amanda to watch our dogs for one night while we attended a wedding. We’re not from Vancouver, so it was obviously nerve racking hiring someone without having the opportunity to meet her ahead of time. Amanda was great, though, and accommodated our schedule, which hadn’t been finalized. She followed up with me before our trip and met us at our hotel the day before we needed her. Our dogs took to her very well. She was also incredibly flexible because we weren’t sure exactly what time we would be back from the wedding. We ended up being about 20 minutes late, and her flexibility reduced so much stress for us. It was very much appreciated and allowed us to enjoy the evening. She also provided lots of updates and took the dogs for a killer long walk!

Another great experience with Beth making sure Barlow was able to stretch his legs, eat, and play. It’s so reassuring that as a young puppy Barlow is able to trust Beth when we are away. Lyvnia was amazing with our two energetic dogs! You could tell right away that our dogs liked her and from the pictures it seemed like they had a great time! She was also respectful of our house and showed up on time! We will definitely look to rebook with her again :)
