“Marta agreed to work with us very last minute and we couldn’t be happier. She came to our home every second day as planned and our cats seemed to really trust and interact with her; as per the photos she sent every visit. They looked so happy and comfortable! Marta was very quick to respond to small requests and changes we had while we were far away for two weeks and she was able to accommodate and extend by a day when we had flight delays that prevented us from getting home on time. We did have a back up sitter just in case but she was able to change her schedule for us. Aside from missing our cats, we never worried once knowing Marta was caring for them. I could not recommend Marta enough and we hope that she is available again if we were to need cat sitting in the future. She is very trustworthy, very kind, personable and just seems like an all around great person. Best of all, Winnie and Elliot were safe and well cared for and really liked her. Thank you so much Marta!! We hope to see you again. ❤️”

About: What sets me apart is my combination of lifelong experience with dogs and my professional background in animal care. Dogs have always been part of my family, and I have spent my entire life caring for them. In addition to my personal experience, I completed training as a Veterinary Assistant, where I learned how to care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small pocket pets. I also gained hands-on experience in animal husbandry and overall pet wellness. I have worked in both a veterinary clinic and an emergency animal hospital, which gave me valuable experience recognizing health concerns, monitoring pets, and understanding different medical and behavioral needs. This background allows me to provide attentive, knowledgeable care and gives pet parents extra peace of mind. I also have experience with dog training and behavior. I've worked on training my own dog and have helped improve walking skills and leash manners for other dogs, creating a more enjoyable and stress-free experience for both the dog and their owner. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and positive environment where every dog feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As a dog owner myself, I plan my schedule around providing consistent care, exercise, enrichment, and attention to pets. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate drop-in visits throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I understand the importance of maintaining a pet's regular routine and will do my best to ensure they receive reliable care, companionship, and attention while you're away. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, feeding, playtime, a walk, or simply some extra love and company, I am committed to providing dependable and attentive care tailored to their needs. For drop-in visits, I care for pets in the comfort of their own home where they feel safest and most relaxed. During each visit, I make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, affection, and care based on their individual needs and routine. I can provide fresh food and water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication administration (if needed), and lots of companionship. I also take the time to monitor your pet's overall well-being and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. With my background in veterinary care and animal behavior, I am attentive to changes in a pet's health, comfort, and behavior. My goal is to ensure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible.
About: 🐾 I provide loving, reliable, and personalized care, treating every pet like family. I focus on safety, companionship, exercise, and genuine affection tailored to each pet's unique needs. ❤️ I currently have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care, as I am pursuing this as my full-time profession and passion. ❤️🐶🐱 I care for every pet as if they were my own, providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment. I take the time to understand each pet's personality, routine, and specific needs to ensure they feel happy and secure while in my care. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, or simply giving them extra attention and affection, I make their well-being my top priority. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can have peace of mind knowing their furry friend is receiving the best possible care.
About: I was fortunate to grow up in a family that loved and supported pets (cats and dogs). We adopted dogs from shelters and those listed online that were “free to a good home.” Because of this I was introduced to a variety of breeds of dogs, at different stages in their life, who often struggled with reactive behaviours or medical conditions that were undiagnosed in their previous homes. I understand that a dog or cat’s needs can be specific and unique, and I will always respect an owners requirements of caring for their pet - a lot of hard work goes in to training and supporting a pet, and I will always do my best to maintain consistency for that animal. I’ve been involved in end of life care for both dogs and cats and I’m comfortable giving medications, cleaning up messes, and of course, spending extra time giving snuggles or scratches when needed :) Also, I’m an ICU Nurse, and, although my job is to care for sick humans (not animals), my experience in the healthcare field will positively influence how I love and look after your furry friend! As a Registered Nurse, my schedule involves shift work that varies week to week. When I'm not at work, however, I have ample time to walk, visit, and care for your furry family member. I have flexibility within my schedule also, that can allow me to have longer stretches of time off, so I could be available for house sitting needs or daily check ins. Unfortunately my current home is not “pet friendly” which is why I would LOVE to care for your animal outside of my home and in an environment they are comfortable in. I have grown up with cats and dogs in my childhood home and am comfortable walking dogs on or off leash, on wooded trails, or in busier neighbourhoods. I understand an animals home should be it’s safe space and will adapt my approach to your pets specific needs and routines, whatever they may be!
“Robyn was amazing! She took wonderful care of my cat during her visits. Her updates were concise, sweet, and always included great photos. She has a deep knowledge of cats, so I felt completely at ease leaving mine in her care. Highly recommended!”

“Fantastic experience from start to finish. Great communication, regular updates, and Ted was very well cared for and happy. Would absolutely book again and highly recommend.”

“Yin was so thoughtful and thorough! This was our first time leaving the cats for an extended period of time and we were nervous but she made us feel so at ease. One of our cats is extra shy and she went above and beyond to gain his trust and play with him. Communication was fantastic and we felt she genuinely cared about their wellbeing and happiness throughout!”

About: I love animals and I have lots of experience taking care of friends’ pets and my own! I work from home so your pet will be in good company throughout the days. I will happily take your dog on long walks or hikes if they’ve got the energy and provide them with lots of cuddles. I hope to bring a little fun into their lives as much as they bring to mine! I go out for morning walks or runs almost every morning and throughout the day as well. I work remotely am flexible and I’d be happy to discuss a schedule that works for you and your pet’s needs. I care for pets by first learning about the individual pet’s needs and routine. I will get to know your dog’s own little quirks and personality. During walks, I can adjust my speed based on the pet’s energy level and look out for their safety. If I’m at a client’s home, I will be respectful of the space while ensuring the pet has what they need. Above all, I will give your dog all the love and attention they deserve and want!
About: Over the past year, I’ve been the full-time caregiver for my sister’s dog, managing everything from daily walks and feeding to endless playtime and cuddles. My partner, Carlina and I both work from home, meaning your dog will receive a ton of attention and never be lonely. We live in a spacious, pet-friendly apartment right by VGH with a park right in our backyard, so fresh air and exercise are always on the agenda. Whether your pup loves exploring the neighbourhood or just finding a cozy spot to nap, they will be in incredibly good hands with us—we love taking dogs on adventures and will even carry them up a hike if their paws get tired! Since we both work from home, our flexible schedules allow us to give pets a ton of attention throughout the day. We start our mornings with a walk and love having a furry companion join us. Throughout the day, we take regular breaks for playtime, potty relief, and short walks, followed by longer evening strolls or relaxing cuddle time. Whether it’s maintaining a strict feeding schedule or just providing companionship, we are fully open to giving your dog consistent, loving care every single day. In our home, your pet will have plenty of space to relax, a cozy spot to rest, and a clean, safe environment. We strictly follow their feeding and walking schedules, keep fresh water available, and shower them with love, attention, and playtime throughout the day. If we are caring for your pet in your home, we mirror their usual routine so they feel entirely secure. We pay close attention to all instructions and will keep you fully updated with regular photos and messages.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child. I worked at a kennels walking dogs when I was younger, sometimes up to 5 dogs at a time, spanning a range of ages. I've always had cats as pets (although they're the real bosses, tbh) and am super comfortable with cats that are old, cranky, or that need a bit of extra medical attention. I work M-F but I'm available for early morning (before 8am) and evening (after 4:30pm) walks or drop-ins. I'm also available on weekends after 10am ☺️ I will look after your pet like its my own while in my care. I have no problem altering my schedule or route as it suits you and your pet.

About: I would love to take your dog on a beautiful walk. I love dogs so much! I have helped out neighbours in need of dog-walking, and have had dogs in my family most of my life. I have a very flexible schedule, so I have lots of time to spend with your dog. I would love to fill my day with long walks on the beach (or around the neighborhood) and get to know your adorable creatures :) I would love to get to know your pet a little first, and take them on on-leash adventures around the neighborhood, getting in some good exercise.

Ana has been amazing! I'm always a little nervous when I need someone to look after my dog because she requires a little extra patience and care but Ana always puts me at ease. She's not only great with dogs but she genuinely cares for their well-being and goes above and beyond to provide an excellent service. Thank you Ana!

Another great experience with Beth making sure Barlow was able to stretch his legs, eat, and play. It’s so reassuring that as a young puppy Barlow is able to trust Beth when we are away. As new dog owners, this time is so valuable and appreciated. Beth provided updates when she arrived, how he was doing, and when she left.

Lyvnia was amazing with our two energetic dogs! You could tell right away that our dogs liked her and from the pictures it seemed like they had a great time! She was also respectful of our house and showed up on time! We will definitely look to rebook with her again :)

I really appreciated the real-time updates during the walk, including messages about how Monica was doing along with photos and videos. It was very reassuring to see her happy and relaxed throughout the walk. The photos and videos were also beautifully taken and made for a great keepsake. Overall, a very positive experience and I would definitely book again.
We want to thank Taylor for the amazing pet-sitting service provided! Taylor was very thorough and made sure our pets were always comfortable. Taylor changed their water during every visit and spent time with them so they didn’t feel lonely. One of our pets was not eating as much as usual, Taylor immediately noticed it and brought it to our attention. This was greatly appreciated as it let us plan accordingly and stay updated on our pet state. We would gladly recommend Taylor to take care of your pet family.

Giovanna and her husband were great with Lloyd! They took such good care of him while I was away on vacation for a week. I had mistakenly given them a wrong key, and they went out of their way to pick it up from a family member. Sent pics with every visit, and kept me reassured that Lloyd was in good hands. Would highly recommend, and will definitely book them again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
