Therefore I have a preference to provide care in the client's home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while always respecting each pet's individual needs and boundaries. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requirements provided by the owner. Safety is my top priority. I ensure pets are always supervised appropriately, secure during walks and outdoor time, and kept in a clean, pet-friendly environment. About: I have had dogs on and off my entire life. I adopted an older dog in my twenties who had severe arthritis and cared for him until his final days. This gave me hands-on experience with senior care and medication administration. I have house sat for my family and friend’s dogs throughout the years and given the dogs medication whenever it was needed. I have also been on many walks, runs and hikes with dogs and am able to handle high-energy dogs. My partner and I currently own a dog who is anxious and has some separation anxiety, and so I have a lot of patience and can handle more nervous/anxious dogs. Because of his anxiousness we are almost always with him and have a very homebody lifestyles with tons of positive reinforcement and desensitization techniques. I work as a flight attendant Monday to Wednesday's, and the rest of the time I am home. Whenever I am home I am fully available for pet sitting, dog walking and house drop ins. I mostly spend my days off going for long walks along the seawall, running, camping and enjoying time at home with my dog. I have a very flexible schedule with a lot of time off so it allows me to be fully present for any dog care. I currently live in an apartment in Fairview with easy access to the outdoors. There is a dog park about 10 minutes away from my place along with the seawall for walks. I live in a quiet neighbourhood that is very dog friendly. There is a vet at a 10 minute walk if ever it was needed.

About: I’ve been around dogs of all breeds and temperaments my whole life and love spending time with them! A dogs wellbeing and routine are most important to me when caring for pets. I have looked after seniors who may need extra care, puppies and reactive dogs. I currently work full time from home, so breaks during the day to get outside for a walk are great for me too! About: I have been a pet parent of 4 dogs for the past 7 years and they mean everything to me. You can count on me! I’m currently a university student. I will have plenty of time to play and look after your pets. I’ll be available for boarding everyday after 9 am I live in an apartment in Yaletown, Vancouver BC. About: I was fortunate to grow up in a family that loved and supported pets (cats and dogs). We adopted dogs from shelters and those listed online that were “free to a good home.” Because of this I was introduced to a variety of breeds of dogs, at different stages in their life, who often struggled with reactive behaviours or medical conditions that were undiagnosed in their previous homes. I understand that a dog or cat’s needs can be specific and unique, and I will always respect an owners requirements of caring for their pet - a lot of hard work goes in to training and supporting a pet, and I will always do my best to maintain consistency for that animal. I’ve been involved in end of life care for both dogs and cats and I’m comfortable giving medications, cleaning up messes, and of course, spending extra time giving snuggles or scratches when needed :) Also, I’m an ICU Nurse, and, although my job is to care for sick humans (not animals), my experience in the healthcare field will positively influence how I love and look after your furry friend! As a Registered Nurse, my schedule involves shift work that varies week to week. When I'm not at work, however, I have ample time to walk, visit, and care for your furry family member. I have flexibility within my schedule also, that can allow me to have longer stretches of time off, so I could be available for house sitting needs or daily check ins. Unfortunately my current home is not “pet friendly” which is why I would LOVE to care for your animal outside of my home and in an environment they are comfortable in. I have grown up with cats and dogs in my childhood home and am comfortable walking dogs on or off leash, on wooded trails, or in busier neighbourhoods. I needed a midday dog walker for a month and was so lucky to have found Lise. As soon as I met her, I knew she was the right person to care for my small dog. I had no hesitation in allowing her access to my home when I was absent and found she was extremely conscientious in every detail, including arriving for every scheduled visit right on time. She sent photos and reports for each visit, allowing me to feel very reassured that Ollie was being well taken care of. He and I both loved Lise! I would happily hire her again and can highly recommend her to other pet parents.
We hired Amanda to watch our dogs for one night while we attended a wedding. We’re not from Vancouver, so it was obviously nerve racking hiring someone without having the opportunity to meet her ahead of time. Amanda was great, though, and accommodated our schedule, which hadn’t been finalized. She followed up with me before our trip and met us at our hotel the day before we needed her. Our dogs took to her very well. She was also incredibly flexible because we weren’t sure exactly what time we would be back from the wedding. We ended up being about 20 minutes late, and her flexibility reduced so much stress for us. It was very much appreciated and allowed us to enjoy the evening. She also provided lots of updates and took the dogs for a killer long walk!
Writing Absolutely lovely experience! She went above and beyond for our puppy, and we couldn’t have asked for someone better to care for our little fur baby.
