“We had a great first meet with Anju, she was calm, patient, and took the time to let Rocco get comfortable at his own pace. Even though Rocco can be a bit feisty and rowdy, she handled him with confidence and kindness. It was clear Anju genuinely cares about dogs and understand that every dog has their own personality. I appreciated her positive attitude and would be happy to have her spend time with Rocco again. Highly recommended!”

About: I've had a firsthand experience of raising a Labrador from puppyhood to adulthood, which taught me the patience and structure needed for high-energy breeds. I bring that same dedicated, watchful eye to every dog I sit, offering the reliable and intuitive care that only comes from years of personal pet ownership. Whether your dog needs active exercise or a steady routine, I ensure they are safe and well supported while you’re away. I can be flexible too depending on the need! I'm also available on weekends. Ideally weekdays and evenings would work the best but I can adapt as needed. I will strictly follow the instructions given to me, I'm aware that every dog is different and have their specific needs from food, walks, and daily breaks.
About: Only Accept One Dog at a Time Why We Started Rover Our beloved dog, Hockey, passed away in September 2025 at the incredible age of 19 years and 11 months. After nearly two decades together, our home felt empty. We joined Rover because we missed having dogs in our lives. Today, every dog who stays with us is welcomed like family and cared for with the same love, patience, and respect that Hockey inspired. Every dog is different. Before each stay, we take the time to learn about your dog's personality, routines, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable. We carefully follow your instructions so your dog experiences as little disruption as possible. Daily Updates We know you'll miss your furry family member, so we'll send plenty of photos and videos throughout their stay, giving you peace of mind that they're happy, safe, and loved. While you're enjoying your vacation, your dog will be enjoying theirs—a true 5-Star Home Stay & Play experience. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a slower pace, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—just like they would at home. I’m working from home during weekdays, so your dog will always have company and attention. I enjoy taking dogs on walks in the morning, at lunch, and in the evening. I make sure they get plenty of exercise each day and am happy to run with them at the nearby soccer field In our home, we care for pets as if they were our own—offering plenty of love, attention, and a calm, safe environment. We follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, play, and rest, to keep them comfortable and happy. Outdoor time is always supervised in our little fenced yard, Whether it’s cuddle time or quiet time, we adjust to each dog’s unique needs so they feel right at home.
“Feena gave us so much peace of mind while we were away because she has prior experience with animals. We needed someone to come in and help our elderly kitty with her sub-q fluids and Feena did this and also sent us lots of photos which was so nice! We’ll definitely hire her again!”
“I was so happy with Natalie’s care of my cat. My cat doesn’t warm up to new people easily, and she doesn’t eat when she’s stressed but Natalie was giving her belly rubs and pats by the second day of caring for her and joy of joys got her eating too! I could relax and enjoy my vacation knowing my cat was happy, healthy and eating. Natalie is a true catwhisperer!”

About: I've had chickens, ducks, indoor birds, dogs and cats throughout my life, and understand most animals basic needs as well as how to effectively communicate with/for them and I am capable of accommodating for a variety of pets. :] I'm free most of the time so I'm able to do pretty much any job in my area at anytime and for extended periods, as long as I have proper notice. I have my own cat who I help take care of, but he's also cared for by 3 other people I live with and I work other odd jobs that may come up but generally I am available and I keep my calendar up to date. I can currently only take jobs outside my home, but I understand what it means to respect the privacy and safety of the clients home/household, and how to respect an animals boundaries in terms of meeting new people or experiencing a change in environment. I have had multiple rescue animals, some who were very resistant to certain types of interactions due to trauma with previous owners. I know many animals may experience similar anxieties and I will respect the boundaries of the individual pet, and closely follow the personal care instructions provided by the owner. I am less experienced with animals that have special needs or require medication, but I am happy to learn and accommodate for any pet I can!
“Maddie was a great cat sitter for our four kitties! She was patient and kind with the cranky one and provided lots of attention for the rest of the crew. She was reliable and easy to communicate with throughout our trip and kept us updated daily. Couldn’t have asked for better. We would not hesitate to use her again.”

“Jessica was trustworthy and took good care to feed my cats on time and play with them. However, one of my cats’ litter box wasn’t cleaned in what looked like 2-3 days at least. Despite having discussed that it was to be done daily. Luckily my cat is fine but this was a hygiene and safety issue that could’ve made her sick and stressed. Overall a good experience but this litter issue was not acceptable.”

About: I've owned dogs for over 20 years, I really understand how to care for them. I’m passionate about making sure every dog feels happy, comfortable, and well-looked after. I work from home full-time on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, and from office on Wednesdays and Thursdays, I return by 4:00 pm. This schedule allows me to give your pet lots of attention and care throughout the day. Here's a typical day: Morning walk: 7:00-7:30 am for about 15 minutes around the neighborhood. Midday walk: 12:00 pm for a 40-minute stroll to a nearby dog park or the Quayside area. Afternoon walk: Around 4:00 pm for another 15-minute walk in the neighborhood. I’m also available for overnight pet sitting on weekdays and have flexible hours on weekends, so your pet will always be well cared for. I would care for your dog in our spacious 3-bedroom apartment. My home offers plenty of room for your dog to enjoy their stay, lower unit with no elevators or stairs to worry about. I am just steps away from the beautiful Quayside boardwalk, where I’ll take your dog for daily walks, and with my vehicle, we have endless options for trips to nearby parks. I have small fenced patios with grass areas where your dog will be welcome to relax. When outside, your dog will be on a leash unless we’re in a fenced dog park, ensuring they’re always safe and secure.
About: I have taken care of dogs starting with my puppy about 15 years ago. Kilo was a puppy rottweiler and I rescued him from a potential life of dog fighting. From that day on Kilo was my best friend and companion in everything from work, to school, and home. I learned a lot from my time with Kilo about proper training and pet care, as well as the patience it takes to be a caring sitter. After Kilo I helped my sisters with training and exercising their big dogs (Pitty, and Husky) as well as attending therapy dog training with my partners 2 dogs (Havanese). I am comfortable with administering oral and topical medications, and know about various training and developmental theories for dogs. I cannot wait to meet your and your pets! I am currently working freelance and I have a lot of free time to spend with your wonderful pets. When I do have a gig I am generally only out of the house for 5-6 hours max. I will follow all your routines and guidelines as stated, while also making sure to tire them out so they dont have any anxiety while you're gone.

About: I've been a veterinary assistant for over 6 years. I am well adept at administering medication (oral, otic, topical, injections) to both cats and dogs. Feel rest assured that your fur baby will be well taken care of in health and mental wellbeing. As I am a full time vet assistant during the week I would be available before and after work past 6 pm on weekdays. Weekends will vary depending on my personal errands. I provide calm, attentive, and compassionate care while following each pet’s normal routine. I make sure they always have fresh water, appropriate meals, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection based on their individual needs. I closely monitor for any changes in behaviour, appetite, or health and will keep you updated throughout their booking.
“First time getting a sitter for our dog, using Rover made it easy and trustworthy. We were very happy to have found Nicole as she was very professional, kind, patient and accommodating with us and our dog. She followed detailed instructions and was very helpful in the process and how to best to care for our dog. We are very pleased and grateful for her service, we will definitely use her again in the future.”

“I booked my first drop in visit with Chris. He came on time and did all the tasks I had requested: scoop the litter and vacuum the litter off the floor. On top of that he also changed my cats’ water and sent pics of them. I will be booking with him again.”

About: I am a young professional who works from home every day. I have been missing the puppy-loving since moving into an apartment, as my building does not have a fenced yard. Looking to trade walks and lots of butt scratches in exchange for cuddles. I have had a dog all my life (medium sized and very exuberant even now in his old age) and so am well-versed in all aspects of daily care. I have also pet-sat for family members long term in the past. Since my schedule is very flexible, I am able to be home almost full time, which is a big advantage for dogs with separation anxiety. I am also comfortable with big dogs on leash, and am not intimidated by their size.
About: I have been a pet lover and owner my whole life. I have had all kinds of pets like cats, a dog, a bird, fish and hamsters. I have taken care of all of their needs including feeding, walks, companionship, cleaning up after them, bathing, vet visits and more. I am available for all weekdays 9:30am-2:30pm and possibly later for "mom hours" while my child is in school. These hours tend to coincide with a lot of peoples working hours while they are not home or available to tend to their pets. And when their pets may need companionship the most which I will be happy to provide. I will work with your homes and pets needs with any needs that they have. For example, if your pet is shy or timid I will work with them to gain my trust and give them space when needed. If your dog does not like to socialize with other dogs I will make sure to keep them away from them. Trust and safety will always come first! Feel free to reach out to me for any questions that you have!
“This was my first experience with Ami and she has been excellent. She dropped in to check on my cats while I was away for a day. She is good in giving meds to sick cats as she was able to give Leo his inhaler during her visit, I am very happy with her and looking forward to connecting with her soon :)”

About: Hello everyone! My name is Storm and I'm located right by Green Timbers in Surrey! I've always loved animals of all kinds but had a special connection with dogs which led me to enroll in and complete the YWCA program "Off The Leash" Through this program I received certifications in: •Pet First Aid •PIJAC-Dog Talk (and /Canine/Feline/Small Mammal) •Canine Connections (Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence with Dogs) •Super Host Customer Service •Fetch Find -Canine Behavior & Communication -Dog Training for Pet Pros -FetchFind Feline Fundamentals -Introduction to Safe Handling -Dog Daycare & Boarding Basics Now I'm looking to build my own business focusing on animal care using only positive reinforcement training methods. I have previous experience working at a Doggy Daycare as well as providing animal care in client's homes. I have worked with animals that have mobility issues, behavioural issues and health issues which require medication to be administered. If you are looking for someone to care for your pets and I sound like a good match I would love to hear from you Have a great day and hope to hear from you soon! I currently work part time in a customer service position and would like to bring more joy into my life through my work, which I believe would be fulfilled by caring for those that can't care for themselves I'm able to do drop in visits or stay in your home as well for longer care sessions/Home sitting. I only use positive training methods

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Delta
Joanna provided her services to our animals for 8 days, while we were out of the country. Her love and dedication was evident from when we first saw her interact with our dog and cat. They were evidently well cared for, and bonded with Joanna. Leaving your house open to a stranger, to care for your defenseless loved ones, is a huge leap of faith. Joanna's integrity and love for animals is everything we hoped for. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
