About: Hi! I’m Kayla, I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and needs, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets while you’re gone. I recently moved to the Vancouver area and have a flexible schedule allowing me to provide walks, drop in visits, or pet sitting. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine exactly including medications, feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions. Additionally, I live at home with my boyfriend who will often accompany me walking dogs and will of course be there during boarding (so between the two of us your pet is getting lots of love and attention!!) I have flexible availability daily for drop in visits, walks, and pet sitting. We can discuss your routine and I'm sure I can make it work. Pets are welcome in my home for short term stays. I do not have a yard so dogs will be taken on walks (on leash). If I am familiar with your dog and they are well trained for off leash, I'm happy to take them to a dog park for additional play and exercise.

About: Growing up on a farm with various animals, I feel it’s just easier for me to understand their needs. Caring for animals comes very naturally to me and I love them like my own babies. Obviously I have always worked in the pet care industry and have been running my own pet boarding facility, back home, for the past 14yrs. My husband and I work but we always prioritise our kid and pets, so ur little fur babies will always be top on our list!! At home we have a fenced patio for ur little one to run around and enjoy in safety..and our 10yr old daughter is always ready to play a game of fetch or give ur little one a good brushing ! As ur fur baby will be the only one boarding with us , they will be the center of attention and recipient of a whole lotta therapeutic cuddles on a daily basis :)

Samia did such an amazing job looking after my cat whilst I was away for a few days. Knowing she has cats herself, Samia understands how to look after them, knows how to care for them, and gets their little behaviours and personalities. Samia herself is a warm and lovely person, and communication was always so great - especially receiving photos and updates each day…on top of this, also reminding me my fish needed feeding (safe to say thanks to Samia, the fish went without hunger). I will definitely be reaching out to Samia again, thank you so much for being so great 😊

I booked my first drop in visit with Chris. He came on time and did all the tasks I had requested: scoop the litter and vacuum the litter off the floor. On top of that he also changed my cats’ water and sent pics of them. I will be booking with him again.

About: Animals have always been a central part of my life. Growing up on a farm, I developed a deep understanding of the care, responsibility, and patience required to look after a wide variety of animals. Throughout my childhood, I was surrounded by dogs and cats, giving me hands-on experience with their unique personalities, needs, and behaviours. Today, I continue that lifelong commitment as the owner of a five-year-old medium-sized dog. My lifelong experience has given me a genuine appreciation for animal welfare, strong observational skills, and the ability to build trust with pets of different temperaments. This personal connection allows me to provide compassionate, attentive care while understanding that every animal deserves to be treated with patience, respect, and kindness. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I'm currently taking some time off work and have a very open schedule. I'm available on both weekdays and weekends and can accommodate a variety of pet care needs. Whether you're looking for short-term care, long-term care, or flexible scheduling, I'm happy to provide reliable, attentive care that works around your pet's routine. I provide care for pets in their own home, where they can stay comfortable and maintain their regular routine. I carefully follow all instructions you leave regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and any special needs to ensure your pet receives the best possible care. I treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of love, attention, patience, and companionship while you're away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in caring hands.

About: I’ve been a dog mom for 13 years to my old pup, whom I raised from puppyhood to her senior years. Caring for her has given me hands-on experience with everything from potty training and socialization to senior support and medication routines. Over time, I’ve also cared for friends’ dogs while they travel, including small breeds, energetic young dogs, and older pups who need extra patience and gentle handling. I understand that every dog has a different personality, routine, and comfort level — and I adapt to that. What sets me apart is attentiveness. I pay close attention to body language, appetite, energy levels, and subtle behavioral changes. Your dog won’t just be supervised — they’ll be cared for thoughtfully. I provide regular updates with photos and videos so you always feel connected and reassured while you’re away. My goal is simple: a safe, calm environment where your dog feels comfortable, respected, and loved. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide constant supervision, regular potty breaks, walks, and lots of affection. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods. I’m able to give consistent attention, companionship, and monitoring to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. Because I’m home-based, your pet won’t just be “checked on” — they’ll truly have someone present with them throughout the day. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment where dogs can relax and feel secure. In my home, I remove any small or unsafe objects from reachable areas and ensure doors and windows are always secured. I supervise interactions closely and never leave dogs unattended in situations that could feel overwhelming or unsafe. I follow each pet’s routine carefully — including feeding schedules, walk preferences, crate training (if applicable), and any special instructions provided by the owner. I also monitor behavior, appetite, and energy levels throughout their stay. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space completely and maintain the same safety standards, cleanliness, and structure the dog is used to. My goal is to keep everything consistent so your pet feels comfortable and stress-free. I provide regular updates with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing.

Our cat makes strange - she's not a fan of anyone she doesn't know ... except Minjeong. First meeting, and Litibu was leaning over to Minjeong for pets and cuddles. Minjeong stopped by 2x per day, fed and played with Litibu, and documented the visits with the best photos! I will definitely be looking for Minjeong next time we need to travel.

About: I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. I got my first dog, a Yorkie Terrier, when I was 15, and I cared for him like he was my own child. He taught me so much about responsibility, patience, and unconditional love. Now I have a 4-month-old Westie Terrier, and I give him the same love and attention every day. I know how important it is to make pets feel safe, happy, and loved — just like family. That’s exactly how I’ll care for yours too. 🐾 I work from home as a freelance web developer, so my schedule is very flexible. I spend most of my time at home, which means I have plenty of time to play with the dogs, take them for walks, and give them all the attention they need. Pets are never left alone for long — they’re part of my daily routine. I have a sweet dog at home who will be a great companion for your pup,, they’ll never feel lonely! My apartment has a secure, fenced patio where dogs can play safely and enjoy the outdoors. I also live in a very pet-friendly area with lots of green spaces and safe walking paths, perfect for daily walks and playtime. Your dog will feel right at home here, cared for and loved as part of the family.

About: I have always had at least one dog and cared for many people's pets while they were away on holidays etc. Since retirement, my life has become very dog centered. I am almost always at home except for shopping and brief outings. When I am not home my great-grandchildren provide company and play time for my dogs. They live upstairs in the same house & are 14 & 16 their love of all pets shines. I have a well-fenced yard and recognize how it is emotionally difficult for dogs to be away from their home. Especially on the first and second visits, I provide lots of extra love and support. Dogs are considered members of the family.

Graduated from the Thompson Rivers University's Animal Health Technology program where we learned extensively of animal care and behaviour. I have a sassy seven year old domestic shorthair which I love dearly. I will not be available between 9am - 8pm due to being a veterinary technician at various vet hospitals. I am well versed in the calm and playful care of cats and dogs from my 10 + experience in the veterinary industry. This program allows us to interact with various canines and felines in a daily basis.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
