I recently moved to the Vancouver area and have a flexible schedule allowing me to provide walks, drop in visits, or pet sitting. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine exactly including medications, feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Let me know if you’d like to discuss more. I have flexible availability daily for drop in visits, walks, and pet sitting. We can discuss your routine and I'm sure I can make it work. Pets are welcome in my home for short term stays. I do not have a yard so dogs will be taken on walks (on leash). If I am familiar with your dog and they are well trained for off leash, I'm happy to take them to a dog park for additional play and exercise.
About: I have always had at least one dog and cared for many people's pets while they were away on holidays etc. Since retirement, my life has become very dog centered. I am almost always at home except for shopping and brief outings. When I am not home my great-grandchildren provide company and play time for my dogs. They live upstairs in the same house & are 14 & 16 their love of all pets shines. I have a well-fenced yard and recognize how it is emotionally difficult for dogs to be away from their home. Especially on the first and second visits, I provide lots of extra love and support. Dogs are considered members of the family.
About: Animals have always been a central part of my life. Growing up on a farm, I developed a deep understanding of the care, responsibility, and patience required to look after a wide variety of animals. Throughout my childhood, I was surrounded by dogs and cats, giving me hands-on experience with their unique personalities, needs, and behaviours. Today, I continue that lifelong commitment as the owner of a five-year-old medium-sized dog. My lifelong experience has given me a genuine appreciation for animal welfare, strong observational skills, and the ability to build trust with pets of different temperaments. This personal connection allows me to provide compassionate, attentive care while understanding that every animal deserves to be treated with patience, respect, and kindness. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I'm currently taking some time off work and have a very open schedule. I'm available on both weekdays and weekends and can accommodate a variety of pet care needs. Whether you're looking for short-term care, long-term care, or flexible scheduling, I'm happy to provide reliable, attentive care that works around your pet's routine. I provide care for pets in their own home, where they can stay comfortable and maintain their regular routine. I carefully follow all instructions you leave regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and any special needs to ensure your pet receives the best possible care. I treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of love, attention, patience, and companionship while you're away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in caring hands.

About: Currently volunteering at Delta Community Animal Shelter, providing their dogs with enrichment, socializing, and play. I have hands-on experience working with dogs that have a wide range of needs. I specialize in supporting reactive dogs with calm, patient, dog-led care that gives them space to feel safe and understood. My approach is enrichment-based and focused on the individual dog in front of me. I pay attention to body language, the environment, distance from triggers, and what each dog needs that day. I believe walks should be more than exercise. They should help dogs sniff, explore, decompress, and feel more settled. I have experience with large dogs, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and dogs who need slower introductions or extra advocacy on walks. I use positive reinforcement and do not use prong collars, choke chains, or e-collars. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, respected, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. Dogs are already a big part of my daily life. I plan my schedule around dog walks, enrichment, routines, and giving each dog the time and space they need. I only take on pets when I know I can give them calm, focused, reliable care. I treat every dog and home with care and respect. In a client’s home, I follow instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and make sure your dog feels safe. On walks, I’m aware of body language, triggers, leash handling, and surroundings so your dog is never rushed or put into situations they cannot handle.
“I booked my first drop in visit with Chris. He came on time and did all the tasks I had requested: scoop the litter and vacuum the litter off the floor. On top of that he also changed my cats’ water and sent pics of them. I will be booking with him again.”

At home we have a fenced patio for ur little one to run around and enjoy in safety..and our 10yr old daughter is always ready to play a game of fetch or give ur little one a good brushing ! About: I had a childhood Pomeranian that we adopted after the owner became pregnant & developed an allergy. We believe she was about 3 when we adopted her, and she already had had a litter (purebred with a belly tattoo). She passed away 8 years after we adopted her. She had seizures from time-to-time due to being overbred. My boyfriend & I have been together for 12 + yrs now. Him & his mom have had a Yellow Lab & Abyssinian cat the whole time. I'm invested in animal liberation & animal body-autonomy, not just because it reduces global warming. But it seems reasonable and logical that animals deserve body-autonomy just like we do. They just don't have thumbs to defend themselves from us. I don't eat animals, I don't visit the Abbotsford Zoo, and I do not visit the Circus. I do not buy products tested on animals. I've donated to various organizations that do animal liberation & animal body-autonomy. I'm a bit older (almost 40) and enjoy a slower & very uneventful lifestyle. I have an extremely fun and goofy personality but still very quiet. I can follow instructions from your Strata. I let the animal sniff my hand first. I get onto their level by sitting/kneeling while angling myself away instead of directly head-on. + no sudden quick movements. Even we (humans) use body language for most of communication.

About: I have more than 10 years experience in animal husbandry. I have always been surrounded with animals since I was a child. I am a sensitive and calm person. I am flexible and trustworthy. Compassionate for people and animals. I have a genuine love for animals, I tend to connect with them, specially with older dogs. I am reliable and responsible individual. I am detail oriented so I just don't do the necessary job but i go for that extra mile. I have a closed yard and a park by my side for your dog to play in with me and the squirrels. Your dog with me is in great hands. It will be my pleasure to take care of your dog. I speak english, spanish and hebrew (in case you want me to talk to your dog in one of those languages :)).

About: I grew up with a dog, cat, fish and birds. In my adult years I have had cat and a dog. My last dog was a rescue was 110 pounds and with separation anxiety. Currently have an adult cat who can hold his own against dogs (he is the boss lol). I have a rescue dog from Mexico. I live in the Beach Grove area of Tsawwassen and love to get outside for a walks etc. I have had a love and passion for animals since I was a kid. I have experience giving medications (including injections). I live in a ground floor apartment with access to a patio and grass area. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
