Lily-Mae is very kind and polite. Our cats took to her immediately and when we came home, they were all calm, groomed and in good spirits. Our home was tidy, cat litter, food and water were all clean and tidy. Lily-Mae’s daily photos and check-ins were reassuring and most appreciated! Knowing Lily-Mae was keeping an eye on our pets was a huge relief! Absolutely would recommend her and our pets would too! Thanks so much!

About: With experience both professionally and personally, I am the ideal pet sitter and dog walker. I have over 5 years of experience working in two different pet stores. Not only did I interact with a variety of cats and dogs everyday day, I also gained an extensive amount of knowledge about pet foods, diet, care, etc. I have also grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. Currently I have two cats (one of them is a senior) and a 110lb Black Lab (not my only large dog experience!) I have also sat for many dogs and families, and have lots of experience with walking as well. I currently work Monday-Friday, however, am flexible so can be available for dog walks @ most times (with enough notice). I am available weekends, and weekdays for sure before 11am and after 5pm - but I can be available for 30mins/1hour in between those hours if needed. In my home, we have a full fences in back yard where we let my dog run free. We also go on at least 2 bigger walks everyday, allowing for more exercise and sniffs. He is also kennel trained. I could do the same in your home and with your furry companion, or do whatever it is that works for you and your dog.

Excellent experience, Pegah took fantastic care of our cat. She was thorough, reliable and communicative, always sending photos and detailed updates. Our cat is very shy/scared around new people and she really warmed to Pegah. We appreciate her kindness and affection in keeping our cat safe and healthy in our absence. 100% would recommend her to care for your pet and we would definitely trust her to care for our cat in the future.

About: I grew up with my grandmother’s female cat, who I considered my big sister, and my parents have three dogs at home. I currently care for my own rescue cat, Maulie, who I adopted off the street. Over the years I’ve also looked after pets for family and friends, handling feeding, walking, and overnight care. My philosophy is simple: I treat cats like guests, not pets to be managed. I respect their independence fully — there’s nowhere off-limits in my home. Countertops, beds, top of the fridge — wherever they feel like being, that’s where they can be. I don’t change their behaviors or train them. You’ll pick up the same cat you dropped off. I feed manually — wet food, dry food, or whatever you prefer — because I believe in watching how they eat and adjusting accordingly. No auto-feeders. I want them to feel attended to, not processed. I use a Litter-Robot so they always have a clean bed of litter. And they sleep wherever they like, including on beds if that’s their thing. I understand how it feels to be away and not able to care for your pet — everywhere you go reminds you of your babies. I don’t have fancy facilities made for professional cat care, just a second home for your meow meow babies. I work from home, which means I’m home most days and able to give cats plenty of attention, playtime, and consistent routines, so your pet is never left without care. I live in a calm, family home with my daughter and our rescue cat, Maulie, so your cat will be joining a household that’s used to gentle routines and lots of attention. I believe in indoor-only cats — they stay inside, always safe. I use a Litter-Robot to make sure litter is clean every single time, and I manually feed every meal to make sure nutrition is on point. The apartment is bright and fully windowed. I won’t let your cat onto the balcony unless you prefer it — and even then, they’ll only be out there when I’m physically present with them. The space is quiet, safe, and pet-friendly — just a calm second home while you’re away. Maulie is a friendly, socialized cat who spends most of her time sleeping. She gets along with almost every cat, and if she’s not in the mood to play, she has her own secret hideaway spot where she goes to be left undisturbed — so your cat always has space to decompress too.

About: Cats aren’t just part of my work, they’re part of my life. I share my home with two wonderful senior cats, so I understand the unique needs, quirks, and personalities our feline friends bring. I’m patient with shy or anxious cats, gentle with seniors, and tuned in to the small signs that tell me how they’re feeling. Whether it’s giving medication, keeping routines consistent, or offering calm companionship, I make sure every cat gets the VIPaws treatment—care that’s as individual as they are. I’m available mornings and evenings or even later for drop-ins (subject to availability) feeding, fresh water, litter, playtime, companionship. Fridays–Sundays are flexible and arranged to suit your cat’s needs. I provide care in your home, ensuring your pet stays in their familiar environment and routine. I have two wonderful (and a little jealous) cats of my own, so I focus on drop-in visits at your location for their comfort and yours.

Samia did such an amazing job looking after my cat whilst I was away for a few days. Knowing she has cats herself, Samia understands how to look after them, knows how to care for them, and gets their little behaviours and personalities. Samia herself is a warm and lovely person, and communication was always so great - especially receiving photos and updates each day…on top of this, also reminding me my fish needed feeding (safe to say thanks to Samia, the fish went without hunger). I will definitely be reaching out to Samia again, thank you so much for being so great 😊

About: I have helped friends and family with caring for their beloved Pets for over 10 years and over 15 for my own dog. From pee breaks to walks and even overnight stays. I have a senior dog and am experienced in caring for the old souls. I work early mornings. I get up, take my dog out, feed him and then head to work. I’m home before lunch and we head out for a walk. These days he prefers a short walk and then to cuddle on the couch. While love it, I miss the days of long hikes and outdoor adventures with him. I like to have as much information as possible. Follow the structure they’re used to as much as possible. While also taking them on fun adventures. I am always aware of my surroundings and keeping my dog (and all other dogs) as safe as possible.

About: I grew up with two cats that both lived to 19, and a Pomeranian. Over the years (during different times), I've also been the carer of a Boston Terrier, five pet rats, and a hedgehog. Currently, I have a 2 years old 65lbs GSD mix that I've had since she was 12 weeks old. So, I am comfortable with your pets through all ages and sizes. I work a hybrid job that allows me time to work from home. I can do walks, drop-ins, and daycare (boarding is available for repeat clients). I provide constant care so your pet will be supervised. I only take one client at a time in my home, so your pet will only be interacting with humans and my own friendly & spayed dog. I live in a townhome with no weight/size limit on dogs. I live near multiple off-leash dog parks and on-leash parks. I have a very social, friendly, and trained 2 years old GSD mix that will be your pet's best friend.

About: Since I was 10years old I’ve always had a dog. We have 2 dogs right and a Guinea pig at home. My first fur baby lived to almost 16 years old. I don’t know how to sell myself but my love for animals is huge and I will treat them like my own. I’m working around my child’s schedule, so I have a pretty flexible calendar. I’m just looking for something to do part time. Mornings are best. If I’m with your pet, my attention will always be on them. Let me know how they do at off leash parks, walks or you just need them to be let out into the yard.

About: I am a former dog mom who raised a female Shih Tzu from a puppy, and I firmly believe that love and intentional care help animals live longer, healthier lives. Her name was Java and she lived past 15 years and remained active well into her senior years. Some of my most cherished memories with her included dog walking, baths, car rides, bonding time, and trips to the park. I didn’t treat her as just a dog—I treated her as family because I truly loved her. In addition to my own dog, I have cared for other family dogs, nurturing them from puppyhood to adulthood with the same level of care and dedication. I have experience supporting dogs with anxiety and shyness, as my own dog experienced this and overcame it through building trust, providing positive reinforcement, playtime, and bonding activities that I provided. I love nature and adventurous activities, which allows me to actively engage and enrich the lives of furry friends. As a nurse, I am naturally empathetic, compassionate, and committed to providing loving and patient care. I live by the principle of not doing harm but always doing good—this extends not only to humans but also to every dog I care for. I aim to provide services that are tailored to furry friends, because every furry friend is unique and has different needs. I am passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of furry friends because even though they cannot speak, they truly understand and feel when they are loved. My goal is not only to provide services but also to make a lasting, meaningful impact in the life of every furry friend I care for! Each service is personalized with unique care, some services include, Puppy Training 🐶 Experience with dogs at all life stages—from puppy to senior 🐶🐕 Experience caring for sick dogs🌡 and administering oral medications Enriching activities such as dog walks and playtime⛱️🏕🐩🐕🐶 Personalized services including progress reports📋 seasonal health brochures, meeting hygienic needs, and so much more🥰 I am a nurse currently in graduate school, which means I have flexible weekly hours and can provide dog services on a schedule that works well for you. I also offer weekend boarding with advance booking. I can also accommodate last‑minute bookings as well. I provide safe, personalized care in your home, following your preferences to ensure your pet is protected and your home is secure. You can count on me to treat your pet with love!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Ladner on Rover is $31.59 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 4,573 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Ladner. About 85% of Ladner sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Ladner stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ladner choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
