About: Hi, this is Shellie! My family and I are eager to help take care of your pets. I have two daughters, ages 11 and 13 who are excited to help care for other dogs. We also have a 4 year old Maltese Poodle mix who loves other dogs. Your pet will get lots of love and attention with us! During the week we are all at work or school, so your doggy is welcome at our house Friday to Sunday. Your dog will get at least 2 walks a day and will be played with in our backyard. We have a large backyard that is fully fenced. Your dog can chill on the couch with our friendly dog or run around in the backyard. Your dog can sleep wherever they prefer, with one of the kids or one of our provided dog beds.

About: With experience both professionally and personally, I am the ideal pet sitter and dog walker. I have over 5 years of experience working in two different pet stores. Not only did I interact with a variety of cats and dogs everyday day, I also gained an extensive amount of knowledge about pet foods, diet, care, etc. I have also grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. Currently I have two cats (one of them is a senior) and a 110lb Black Lab (not my only large dog experience!) I have also sat for many dogs and families, and have lots of experience with walking as well. I currently work Monday-Friday, however, am flexible so can be available for dog walks @ most times (with enough notice). I am available weekends, and weekdays for sure before 11am and after 5pm - but I can be available for 30mins/1hour in between those hours if needed. In my home, we have a full fences in back yard where we let my dog run free. We also go on at least 2 bigger walks everyday, allowing for more exercise and sniffs. He is also kennel trained. I could do the same in your home and with your furry companion, or do whatever it is that works for you and your dog.

I currently care for my own rescue cat, Maulie, who I adopted off the street. Over the years I’ve also looked after pets for family and friends, handling feeding, walking, and overnight care. Countertops, beds, top of the fridge — wherever they feel like being, that’s where they can be. I don’t change their behaviors or train them. You’ll pick up the same cat you dropped off. The apartment is bright and fully windowed. I won’t let your cat onto the balcony unless you prefer it — and even then, they’ll only be out there when I’m physically present with them. The space is quiet, safe, and pet-friendly — just a calm second home while you’re away. Maulie is a friendly, socialized cat who spends most of her time sleeping. She gets along with almost every cat, and if she’s not in the mood to play, she has her own secret hideaway spot where she goes to be left undisturbed — so your cat always has space to decompress too.

About: I actually can’t remember a time where I have not actively been involved in the care and welfare of animals. From my family’s farm in the Cariboo to our family animal rescue on Vancouver Island. It has become a way of life for me. From bottle feeding motherless newborn kittens, hiking down a snow bank to patiently catch a dog escaped from a car accident, to nursing a blind hen abandoned by her flock - and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life these days is a bit quieter, it includes my animal loving 5 year old daughter, and our two cats: 16 year old Snow Pea and 8 year old Blossom. In 2021 we lost our beloved senior rescue dog Keena. Caring for your dog or cat would be my absolute pleasure! My schedule is flexible to care for your pets as I work from home. My only appointments outside the home during the week would be school drop off and pick up at 9am and 3pm. I am a responsible parent to a pet savvy 5 year old daughter and two cats; a senior named Snow Pea and a rescued Persian named Blossom. I grew up surrounded by animals and over the last 20 years been involved in many facets of animal rescue. I am available for pet sitting and care in your home and I would care for your animals as I would my own.

No access to toxic plants, sniffing out cleaning products, chewing on electrical cords, and/or small objects they could swallow. * Big, comfy beds and/or couches for a place to rest, where they can feel secure. * Maintaining a routine for meals, playtime, walks, potty breaks, and bedtime. Dogs thrive on routine! * Toys, toys toys! Puzzle feeders, sniffing games, and interactive play. * Groom regularly by brushing their coat, trimming nails, cleaning ears when needed, and brushing their teeth. * Using positive reinforcement when redirecting and correcting. I reward good behaviour with yummy treats, praise, belly rubs and/or play time instead of punishing mistakes. * Socialize appropriately with people, other dogs, and new environments to build confidence and good manners. * Monitor their health for changes in appetite, energy, drinking, bathroom habits, and/or behaviour. * Give them attention and affection. Dogs are social animals and need companionship, interaction, and love to thrive. * Respect their individual needs. Every dog has a unique personality, energy level, and comfort zone. I have a fenced yard and a dog park across from my house. Your dog will always have a furry friend to play with or if they prefer alone time, that’s fine too :) I also make my own dog and bake homemade dogs treats as well. So, if your pup is on a strict diet or is on medication- I’m no stranger to feeding them healthy and nutritious meals and/or administering their medications.

About: I’ve been fostering dogs & puppies for over 8 years now. I have one awesome Aussiedoodle who loves long walks, trail walking and runs so your dog will come along for all of that! I love taking care of and enjoying the company of other dogs and would be happy to give yours the love, attention and care it deserves when you need some extra help. I recently moved to Vancouver and would love to make some doggy friends for Bosco which is why my prices are so low! I work partially remote with 1-2 days a week in the office. The other days I am just home with my dog as I would be with yours. My dog and I love walks! We do a morning 1 hour jog, an afternoon walk for about 45 minutes and then an evening walk where I let him sniff go his hearts content.

About: I am an 30 year old care aid who is an animal lover, I have two cats and a bearded dragon of my own. I have past experience pet sitting for neighbors, friends/family and here on Rover for the last 7+ years. I’ve walked dogs, fed and bathed them, provided mental stimulation and a safe environment for your pets. I’ve had experience in administration of medication to cats and dogs. I have some experience with exotic pets ( ie reptiles and birds). I do have a car so transportation is possible. Looking forward to connecting with you. At the moment I work a very flexible schedule as I am trying to gain more clients for my pet care service. I try and keep my schedule clear in the morning and evenings 7am-10am and 5pm-10pm, and overnight. As I gain more clients this will change to accommodate for better hours. During walks I like to check in with photos to update clients, keep track of bowel movements and engage in play. For in home service I provide walks, play, medication administration, frequent updates, light cleaning, feeding and bathing if needed.
