Lily-Mae is very kind and polite. Our cats took to her immediately and when we came home, they were all calm, groomed and in good spirits. Our home was tidy, cat litter, food and water were all clean and tidy. Lily-Mae’s daily photos and check-ins were reassuring and most appreciated! Knowing Lily-Mae was keeping an eye on our pets was a huge relief! Absolutely would recommend her and our pets would too! Thanks so much!

About: Hi, I’m Mandy! I’m a loving pet parent and know how important it is to leave your furry friend in safe, caring hands. I live in a clean, cozy apartment with secure spaces for cats and plenty of room for dogs to move and play safely. With my own 2-year-old cat and experience caring for dogs, I know how to make pets feel comfortable, loved, and stress-free while you’re away. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to provide daily feeding, playtime, walks, and even medication if needed. I’ll also send regular photo updates so you can see your pet is happy and well cared for! I am home every day so I can provide care every day. If you need me to drop-in, I can do it every day too. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment equipped with cat screens on the windows to keep curious kitties safe. As a cat owner myself, I know how important it is to create a calm and secure environment. I take extra care to ensure all doors and windows are secure, maintain a tidy space, and provide a stress-free setting for your cat. You can trust that while you’re away, your furry friend will be cared for in a safe, loving home — just like my own.

About: Cats aren’t just part of my work, they’re part of my life. I share my home with two wonderful senior cats, so I understand the unique needs, quirks, and personalities our feline friends bring. I’m patient with shy or anxious cats, gentle with seniors, and tuned in to the small signs that tell me how they’re feeling. Whether it’s giving medication, keeping routines consistent, or offering calm companionship, I make sure every cat gets the VIPaws treatment—care that’s as individual as they are. I’m available mornings and evenings or even later for drop-ins (subject to availability) feeding, fresh water, litter, playtime, companionship. Fridays–Sundays are flexible and arranged to suit your cat’s needs. I provide care in your home, ensuring your pet stays in their familiar environment and routine. I have two wonderful (and a little jealous) cats of my own, so I focus on drop-in visits at your location for their comfort and yours.

Excellent experience, Pegah took fantastic care of our cat. She was thorough, reliable and communicative, always sending photos and detailed updates. Our cat is very shy/scared around new people and she really warmed to Pegah. We appreciate her kindness and affection in keeping our cat safe and healthy in our absence. 100% would recommend her to care for your pet and we would definitely trust her to care for our cat in the future.

About: I have helped friends and family with caring for their beloved Pets for over 10 years and over 15 for my own dog. From pee breaks to walks and even overnight stays. I have a senior dog and am experienced in caring for the old souls. I work early mornings. I get up, take my dog out, feed him and then head to work. I’m home before lunch and we head out for a walk. These days he prefers a short walk and then to cuddle on the couch. While love it, I miss the days of long hikes and outdoor adventures with him. I like to have as much information as possible. Follow the structure they’re used to as much as possible. While also taking them on fun adventures. I am always aware of my surroundings and keeping my dog (and all other dogs) as safe as possible.

About: I grew up with my grandmother’s female cat, who I considered my big sister, and my parents have three dogs at home. I currently care for my own rescue cat, Maulie, who I adopted off the street. Over the years I’ve also looked after pets for family and friends, handling feeding, walking, and overnight care. My philosophy is simple: I treat cats like guests, not pets to be managed. I respect their independence fully — there’s nowhere off-limits in my home. Countertops, beds, top of the fridge — wherever they feel like being, that’s where they can be. I don’t change their behaviors or train them. You’ll pick up the same cat you dropped off. I feed manually — wet food, dry food, or whatever you prefer — because I believe in watching how they eat and adjusting accordingly. No auto-feeders. I want them to feel attended to, not processed. I use a Litter-Robot so they always have a clean bed of litter. And they sleep wherever they like, including on beds if that’s their thing. I understand how it feels to be away and not able to care for your pet — everywhere you go reminds you of your babies. I don’t have fancy facilities made for professional cat care, just a second home for your meow meow babies. I work from home, which means I’m home most days and able to give cats plenty of attention, playtime, and consistent routines, so your pet is never left without care. I live in a calm, family home with my daughter and our rescue cat, Maulie, so your cat will be joining a household that’s used to gentle routines and lots of attention. I believe in indoor-only cats — they stay inside, always safe. I use a Litter-Robot to make sure litter is clean every single time, and I manually feed every meal to make sure nutrition is on point. The apartment is bright and fully windowed. I won’t let your cat onto the balcony unless you prefer it — and even then, they’ll only be out there when I’m physically present with them. The space is quiet, safe, and pet-friendly — just a calm second home while you’re away. Maulie is a friendly, socialized cat who spends most of her time sleeping. She gets along with almost every cat, and if she’s not in the mood to play, she has her own secret hideaway spot where she goes to be left undisturbed — so your cat always has space to decompress too.

About: Hi! I’m Kayla, I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and needs, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets while you’re gone. I recently moved to the Vancouver area and have a flexible schedule allowing me to provide walks, drop in visits, or pet sitting. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine exactly including medications, feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions. Additionally, I live at home with my boyfriend who will often accompany me walking dogs and will of course be there during boarding (so between the two of us your pet is getting lots of love and attention!!) I have flexible availability daily for drop in visits, walks, and pet sitting. We can discuss your routine and I'm sure I can make it work. Pets are welcome in my home for short term stays. I do not have a yard so dogs will be taken on walks (on leash). If I am familiar with your dog and they are well trained for off leash, I'm happy to take them to a dog park for additional play and exercise.

Samia did such an amazing job looking after my cat whilst I was away for a few days. Knowing she has cats herself, Samia understands how to look after them, knows how to care for them, and gets their little behaviours and personalities. Samia herself is a warm and lovely person, and communication was always so great - especially receiving photos and updates each day…on top of this, also reminding me my fish needed feeding (safe to say thanks to Samia, the fish went without hunger). I will definitely be reaching out to Samia again, thank you so much for being so great 😊

About: I grew up with two cats that both lived to 19, and a Pomeranian. Over the years (during different times), I've also been the carer of a Boston Terrier, five pet rats, and a hedgehog. Currently, I have a 2 years old 65lbs GSD mix that I've had since she was 12 weeks old. So, I am comfortable with your pets through all ages and sizes. I work a hybrid job that allows me time to work from home. I can do walks, drop-ins, and daycare (boarding is available for repeat clients). I provide constant care so your pet will be supervised. I only take one client at a time in my home, so your pet will only be interacting with humans and my own friendly & spayed dog. I live in a townhome with no weight/size limit on dogs. I live near multiple off-leash dog parks and on-leash parks. I have a very social, friendly, and trained 2 years old GSD mix that will be your pet's best friend.

Our cat makes strange - she's not a fan of anyone she doesn't know ... except Minjeong. First meeting, and Litibu was leaning over to Minjeong for pets and cuddles. Minjeong stopped by 2x per day, fed and played with Litibu, and documented the visits with the best photos! I will definitely be looking for Minjeong next time we need to travel.

About: From a young age I’ve been surrounded and extremely fortunate to grow up around dogs and cats. Due to this I have become extremely comfortable around a mix of animals with different personalities. I am quick at understanding what needs are required to keep my little fur babies content and amused. I am currently in between work since I’ve started a family. My schedule is flexible and can be availability most days and hours. Short or long segments wouldn’t be a problem. I’ve had dogs growing up and currently have two loving happy kitties at home with me. At times I had both dogs and cats which was a good training experience keeping them calm and content. I’ve assisted with pet sitting on multiple occasions. It’s very important to create a bond and connection which I excel at.

Minjeong was a fantastic sitter! She came in with late notice, was very attentive, and followed instructions. She sent regular updates and photos during her visits. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
