Raissa took care of our 2 babies during a month long trip, and she was beyond excellent! She would always arrive on time for the visits and let me know how the cats were on that day, along with always sending adorable pictures. She was flexible when I needed a last minute visit and followed all my care instructions. I’m sure my boys loved her as much as me! I would rely on Raissa when I travel again.

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover from the UK currently traveling around Canada. I’ve had dogs in my home all my life and have spent the last 7 years dog sitting for a wide range of breeds from energetic dogs who need long, adventurous walks, to older dogs who just enjoy a gentle stroll and relaxing in the park. I’ve also trained my own dog and a friends so I’m comfortable reinforcing commands. Being around dogs is something i miss while traveling, so I’d love the chance to help care for yours as if they were my own. I’m not working so I will be able to follow any routine the dog or animal has. I love to go on long walks so will happily take the dog out for as long as you recommend I am constantly aware of the animals in my care and keep an eye on them whether it’s in the garden at the park or in the house. This also mean I will follow any rules that the owner has set out

We chose Averi because of her high ratings on Rover, and honestly, she totally lived up to the hype. She came by ahead of time to go over everything with us, and even showed up during some pretty bad weather. That really meant a lot—it gave us a chance to walk through all the details and made us feel way more comfortable before leaving for our trip. We were away for three weeks, and Averi was super consistent the whole time. She stuck to the schedule we agreed on and sent us detailed updates every visit—lots of photos (always 10+!) plus a full recap of how our cats were doing, including food, water, and their overall mood. One of our cats is very active and has a bit of an attitude—we have to be pretty careful handling him ourselves. Averi was incredibly patient and attentive with him, which we really appreciated. When we got back, both of our cats were relaxed and doing great. That was a huge relief, especially since they had separation anxiety the last time we left them for our trip. We would 200% recommend Averi as your next pet sitter. She’s absolutely someone you can trust and will make it so much easier to actually relax while you’re away!

Carrie-Ann is simply wonderful. She took care of my five little cats for eight days and achieved truly amazing things. She even connected with one of our shyest babies, and I was honestly amazed. She kept us updated on how our little ones were doing and sent us beautiful photos that looked like they were taken by a professional. She gave them so much love, and I could see my babies happy and living their best little lives. I even feel like they forgot they were supposed to miss us. To be honest, I am a tiny bit jealous of how much they grew to love Carrie-Ann, but I am also incredibly happy knowing they felt safe and cared for. She is now officially part of our little cat family, and we will absolutely call her again the next time we need help. She won our hearts too.

  • 85% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
