For me it would be very helpful to take care of dogs here in Vancouver Feeding and providing fresh water. A walk or play session for exercise and mental stimulation. Quality bonding time like cuddling or playing. Quick check-in for water and playtime. Provide meals according to the pet’s dietary needs and schedule. Ensure fresh, clean water is available at all times. Offer daily walks, backyard play, or indoor games to keep the pet active and engaged. Provide mental stimulation through toys, puzzles, or training sessions.

About: Hi there! My name is Nicole, and I'm a 38-year-old Etsy shop owner in Maple Ridge. I've had family dogs my entire life, ranging from 8-25 lbs. And my wife, Nikki, and I have been sharing full-time Dog Mom duties for over 5 years. In October 2025, we lost our good boy, Eddie, after a long decline during which I learned to comfortably administer insulin. Now, our sweet rescue girl, Moxy (age 9 or 10), has no fur friends to spend time with. While not required, I prefer to care for dogs who are comfortable with Moxy tagging along for walks and house-sits. She is a well behaved, house-trained, 9-year-old Maltese-Mini Schnauzer mix who is, as we like to say, "just happy to be there." She is good with most dogs, but becomes avoidant of dogs who get overly excited and rough. She plays very gently. For new clients, I would like to schedule an in person meet-and-greet to ensure we are a good fit for each other. WALKING + DROP INS I am available for dog walks and/or drop-ins anytime after 9am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays and Thursdays are my focused work days, so I am available after 5pm. **I usually take an hour during Mon/Thurs to take our dog, Moxy, for a walk, so I have room for 1 more doggo to join us during those days. HOUSE-SITTING: **For now, I am only offering 3-night maximum house sits.** I will treat your home with the utmost respect. I’m happy to water your plants and bring in the mail, and I will of course tidy up to ensure you can't even tell I was there. I can provide you with frequent updates, along with cute photos and videos so you can feel assured that your pets are well cared for. I work from home, meaning your pets will rarely be alone. They will get walks, belly rubs, potty breaks, and play time as desired. My work schedule is mostly flexible, allowing me to give your dog or cat plenty of attention and care throughout the day. My job requires about 15 hours per week of focused time spent at my home office. That work is usually done on Mondays and Thursdays, however, I can spread it out over the week to decrease the time that I'd need to be away from your pets if your trip falls on those days. You know your pet(s) best, so we can discuss the preferred way for me to accommodate them. Please let me know if you're comfortable with our well-behaved, house-trained, small dog Moxy visiting your house or joining for walks with your dog(s). She'd love the socialization. But if it's a no, that's okay. At this time, I'm not able to board pets at our home, but I'm happy to come spend time with your dogs in the comfort of their home.

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since my grandma adopted a pregnant pitty and watched her raise 8 puppies! I’ve dog walked, boarded, cat sat, boarded on and off my whole adult life. I’ve also worked on a dairy farm and a hobby farm including sheep and chickens. I recently lost my fur baby in Dec, 2025, and have been missing animals in my life and home but am not ready to have another yet. Hoping to share my love and care with yours for now! I currently work part time, approx 9am to 2pm. I have two children, 6&9, who I then pick up from school and am home by 3. I take dogs in my care for a morning walk around 7am before school drop off and again in the afternoon(or evening depending on the weather). I currently have no pets, our friends in the basement suit have two cats, if your pet likes friends. If not, it’s easy to keep them separate in their own suit. I have a large yard that is not fully fenced so I take dogs out for bathroom breaks on leash or long tether.

About: Im a middle aged woman transitioning out of a career in health care. My kids are grown and dogs are the children I live but don’t want. I have two of my own fur babies and they are pampered beyond reason. I work casually at a other job but am typically available on Tuesday’s or Wednesdays. I can always add more depending on availability. I prefer to walk earlier in the day. I believe in a gentle hand and a lot of talking. I will do my best to follow the directions you leave as their pet parent :).

About: I started dog sitting when a family member had to temporarily relocate to Toronto for medical needs. Sitting in the hospital i just really wanted to walk a dog - a friend suggested rover and I was blessed with not only walking dogs but pet sitting as well! i had so much fun I've decided to keep it up :) I have taken care of many animals - I do respite for people and this often includes their animals(: from tiny to large, young to old. Plenty of experience with oral medication and handling incontinence, very energetic dogs and the ones who take their time. I had my border collie for over 15 years, they taught me how important and rewarding it is to thoroughly care for our furry companions. I have extra flexibility during school breaks 😊 typically I take a dog for 3 walks a day, morning, a bigger afternoon walk and before bed time(: if i can I love spending a day hiking, or having a doggy tour guide around the neighborhood 🐾 I care for my client's homes and pets as if they were my own. Dietary needs, mobility, medication, behavior management and other needs are top priority. As well as all the fun(: i own my home in Vancouver and understand the importance of taking care of it. Off leash time i am very cautious and need to build trust first. I do have a dog friendly car:)

I grew up around dogs, have lived with dogs for much of my life, and regularly care for my parents' two Toy Australian Shepherds whenever they're away. They're a mother and daughter duo with very different personalities and needs. The mother is a senior with hip issues who benefits from extra patience and mobility support, while her daughter has anxiety and does best with a calm, reassuring approach and a consistent routine. Being Toy Australian Shepherds, they're also incredibly intelligent and active, so I'm used to dogs that thrive on structure, engagement, and paying close attention to their individual needs. While I don't have experience with every unique medical or behavioural situation, I've been around a wide variety of dog personalities, energy levels, and temperaments. I pay close attention to canine body language, respect each dog's boundaries, and believe that building trust is far more important than forcing interactions. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a drop-in visit, spending the day with them, or caring for them overnight, I'll treat them with the same patience, attention, and respect I give the dogs in my own life. If your dog has a routine or needs I'm unfamiliar with, I'm always happy to do my research beforehand and carefully follow your instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away! Right now I have a pretty open and flexible schedule, so I'm able to work around most pet care needs. Some mornings and around midday I'm busy babysitting my baby brother, but outside of that I have lots of availability for walks, drop ins, day visits, and overnight stays.
