About: Hi there! My name is Nicole, and I'm a 38-year-old Etsy shop owner in Maple Ridge. I've had family dogs my entire life, ranging from 8-25 lbs. And my wife, Nikki, and I have been sharing full-time Dog Mom duties for over 5 years. In October 2025, we lost our good boy, Eddie, after a long decline during which I learned to comfortably administer insulin. Now, our sweet rescue girl, Moxy (age 9 or 10), has no fur friends to spend time with. While not required, I prefer to care for dogs who are comfortable with Moxy tagging along for walks and house-sits. She is a well behaved, house-trained, 9-year-old Maltese-Mini Schnauzer mix who is, as we like to say, "just happy to be there." She is good with most dogs, but becomes avoidant of dogs who get overly excited and rough. She plays very gently. I am available for dog walks, drop ins or day sits anytime after 9am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays and Thursdays are my focused work days, so I am only available after 5pm. I am also available for pet sitting any day of the week, as long as your pets are able to be left alone for up to 4 hours per day on weekdays. For new clients, I would like to schedule an in person meet-and-greet to ensure we are a good fit for each other. I can provide you with frequent updates, along with cute photos and videos so you can feel assured that your pets are well cared for. I work from home, meaning your pets will rarely be alone. They will get walks, belly rubs, potty breaks, and play time as desired. My work schedule is mostly flexible, allowing me to give your dog or cat plenty of attention and care throughout the day. My job requires about 15 hours per week of focused time spent at my home office. That work is usually done on Mondays and Thursdays, however, I can spread it out over the week to decrease the time that I'd need to be away from your pets if your trip falls on those days. You know your pet(s) best, so we can discuss the preferred way for me to accommodate them. Please let me know if you're comfortable with our well-behaved, house-trained, small dog Moxy visiting your house or joining for walks with your dog(s). She'd love the socialization. But if it's a no, that's okay. Please note, I am not comfortable caring for pets who: - cannot be left alone - fight to receive required medication - are not spayed/neutered - are aggressive - are incontinent - are fully blind - are likely to require multiple bathroom breaks overnight - are over 40 lbs (unless they are calm/not jumpy and good on a leash). At this time, I'm not able to board pets at our home, but I'm happy to come spend time with your pets in the comfort of their home.

About: I’ve had pets (dogs, cats, fish) since I was 2 years old. Since I was 9 I’ve been looking after other people pets as well. I currently have a Burnese mountain dog and golden retriever cross. She’s the sweetest thing in the world, and I walk her at least twice a day, feed her, and make sure she gets the play time and attention she deserves. I have the availability to give pets the attention, time, and care that they need in order to be happy and content. All pets need a little bit of playtime, love, and intentionality.

I grew up around dogs, have lived with dogs for much of my life, and regularly care for my parents' two Toy Australian Shepherds whenever they're away. They're a mother and daughter duo with very different personalities and needs. The mother is a senior with hip issues who benefits from extra patience and mobility support, while her daughter has anxiety and does best with a calm, reassuring approach and a consistent routine. Being Toy Australian Shepherds, they're also incredibly intelligent and active, so I'm used to dogs that thrive on structure, engagement, and paying close attention to their individual needs. While I don't have experience with every unique medical or behavioural situation, I've been around a wide variety of dog personalities, energy levels, and temperaments. I pay close attention to canine body language, respect each dog's boundaries, and believe that building trust is far more important than forcing interactions. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a drop-in visit, spending the day with them, or caring for them overnight, I'll treat them with the same patience, attention, and respect I give the dogs in my own life. If your dog has a routine or needs I'm unfamiliar with, I'm always happy to do my research beforehand and carefully follow your instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away! Right now I have a pretty open and flexible schedule, so I'm able to work around most pet care needs. Some mornings and around midday I'm busy babysitting my baby brother, but outside of that I have lots of availability for walks, drop ins, day visits, and overnight stays. I like planning ahead and making sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention they deserve instead of trying to rush from one booking to the next! I'll mostly be caring for pets in their own home because that's where they're usually the happiest and most comfortable. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible by following your instructions closely, respecting your home, and making sure your pet feels safe while you're away. In some cases I may be able to care for pets in my home, but it will depend on the pet. I live in a small one bedroom basement suite with my two senior cats, who are very sweet but also very timid. Because of that, I'd only consider pets that are calm, cat friendly, and comfortable in a quieter environment. No matter where I'm caring for your pet, I'll pay close attention to their behaviour, body language, and routine. I know every animal is different, and I think noticing the little things can make a big difference in helping them feel comfortable.
