As first time users of Rover, we were pleased that Deborah and Mark immediately accepted our request to take care of Harper, our Golden Retriever, in their home for four hours while we attended a family event. Harper settled right away in their home and fenced backyard, and we felt comfortable leaving him in their care. We were pleased with photos they sent to us during his stay. We would gladly rebook with Deborah & Mark in the future and recommend them to others.

About: I’ve been providing day care, boarding, walks, bathroom and water breaks for dogs of all dispositions and needs for over 8 years now. I have experience with dogs who are reactive, disabled, elderly, grumpy, easy going, good on leash, terrible on leash, love other dogs, hate other dogs and everything in between! I am skilled at reading dog behaviour and energy shifts, and anticipating and diffusing undesirable interactions between dogs. I will provide continuity with training goals and language if that’s where you’re at, and I have experience with dogs with medical conditions who need some extra help and lots of patience. I have several long term clients and can happily provide references. Canine care is my full time job, and I take it very seriously. I am accommodating, flexible and responsive, and can work with you to come up with a schedule that works for you and your pup. From one offs and last minute requests, to long term, predictable scheduling, I’m just happy to get to spend time with your pup! I am canine first aid certified, and I’m cautious and caring. I’m attentive on walks (I’m familiar with the tries-to-eat-everything and the makes-it-weird-on-leash variety of dog), and I’m tuned in and present when dogs are in my home (I’m also familiar with the counter-surfing, toy shredding, sock eating variety of dog). I have a dedicated basement suite that is set up to be a safe and comfortable pup haven, with easy access to a large, securely fenced backyard. Whether your pup is a couch dog, floor dog, crate dog or bed dog, I have all the surfaces. I’m present with the dogs when they’re in my home, and provide a loving space and as many ear/chin/head/belly/butt scratches as your dog could possibly want!

About: I have experience caring for both large and small dogs, including senior dogs who need a little extra attention and medication administration. My home is pet-free, ensuring a calm and comfortable environment for your pup. I work part-time from home with a flexible schedule, allowing me to give your pets plenty of attention throughout the day. As an active person, I walk daily, so your dog will enjoy regular outdoor time. I’m available for overnight boarding, including weekends, or just dog walking—whatever fits your needs best. While I live in a townhouse without a backyard, I’m located near walking trails and can take your pet out regularly for potty breaks. They’ll have full access to our home, and I also have space for a crate if that’s part of their routine.

From the moment my dog, Bestie, and I step through the door, we're greeted with such warmth and kindness from Deborah and her furry companions. The environment is perfect for walks, and I've witnessed firsthand the care and attention she gives to him while he's under her watch. After daycare, my dog returns home happy, tired, and thoroughly content, which is all we could ever ask for. Thank you, Deborah, for providing such a wonderful experience for my dog!

Priya was very nice with them. Did her best to make my dogs feel comfortable and break the ice. I was really anxious about leaving them with a dog sitter since they usually stay with friends, so I left them for few hours with Priya as a trial. It turned out great. They did so well with her. I’ll be leaving them with her for 3 nights in coming weeks.

About: Serena: I’ve spent my entire life around German Shepherds and large-breed dogs. I trained my first shepherd when I was 12 :) James: I adopted my first dog, a Jindo rescue named Jack from South Korea 7 years ago. Dog sat a few of my friends' dogs in the past as well! We are comfortable with: Senior dogs - which may require slower walks, medication schedules, mobility awareness, and plenty of rest. Jack was given the best life he could ever had until he passed away at a golden age of 12. Large and working breeds - They may require more mental stimulation and structured playtimes as well as calm introductions to new environments. Smaller size dogs - We are equipped with rooms to give them their own space to play and rest if they prefer it. I work from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and they will be given regular cuddles and pets. My goal is always to create a calm, predictable environment where dogs feel secure — not overstimulated — and owners feel confident knowing their dog is in experienced hands. We do also have friends who boards their dogs at our place while they are away so they aren't recorded on Rover but see their happy tail photos on our page! Recent stays include April 2026: 2 nights - 1 year old pug May 2026: 3 weeks - Senior 11 year old collie Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and I have the flexibility to structure my day around dogs in my care. Depending on what your pup needs, the following can be arranged - Morning walks and feeding before the workday starts (for walking appointments) - Midday afternoon enrichment in the yard or quiet rest time depending on each dog’s needs - Evening dinner, and wind-down time - Late-night potty breaks so everyone settles comfortably (for overnight boarding) Because I’m home throughout the day, dogs are rarely left alone and I can quickly respond to their energy levels, routines, or any special needs. I keep a consistent structure while still adjusting for puppies, seniors, or dogs who need more frequent breaks or calmer pacing. On weekends, my schedule is even more flexible, which allows for longer walks, extra enrichment, and slower mornings. My goal is always to give dogs a calm, predictable routine that helps them feel secure and at home while their owners are away. When pets stay in my home, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and structured environment that mirrors their normal routine as closely as possible. I have a secure, fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, potty breaks, and relaxed play. Dogs are never left unattended outside. Inside the home, I’m intentional about space. I have the ability to separate dogs into different areas if your dog prefers their own private space or whether for feeding, rest, crate time, or simply giving a dog some quiet space. This is especially helpful for new arrivals, puppies, seniors, or dogs who need slower introductions to a new space.

About: We’re a caring, animal-loving family, and dogs have always been part of our home. We have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who get along well with other dogs. We treat every pet like family and provide a safe, loving environment where your dog will feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. I’m available to care for your pet any day, any time. I have a fully fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your pup company. My dogs are crate-trained and are only crated when left home alone. I’m happy to follow your dog’s routine and crating preferences to help them feel safe and comfortable during their stay.

Rena and her pup, cookie, took great care of my puppy. She is a wonderful dog sitter and it’s so nice to have her experienced pup teach mine who is learning. She takes him out for many walks and plays with him too. I feel very lucky to have found Rena who is a very convenient drop off and pick up for me on the days I need to go into the office.

Lu is an incredibly professional and patient caregiver. Her dog is also absolutely adorable and very gentle, which made the environment even more comfortable. My dog is an energetic male Golden Retriever who gets excited very easily, and during the few hours he stayed at Lu’s place, she consistently sent me photo and video updates. I could clearly see how happy he was, freely releasing his energy and having a great time in her home. When I picked him up, he was completely tired out, in the best way, which was such a pleasant surprise. What truly touched me was how attentive Lu is. She remembered every single thing I mentioned about my dog’s needs and things to watch out for, even details I only brought up briefly during our rushed first meeting. That level of care and thoughtfulness really meant a lot to me. It was a wonderful daycare experience for both my dog and me. I would absolutely recommend Lu to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving caregiver.

There are 2,303 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Pitt Meadows. About 89% of Pitt Meadows sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalized care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pitt Meadows commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in BC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 81% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
