About: What sets me apart? I am confident with large dogs, including farm and guard dogs! I discovered a love for big dogs when my mum adopted a hound mix who grew to be a 120lb wrecking ball of dopey energy. I've had a soft spot for the big ones ever since, and take particular pleasure in befriending them. I believe communication between human and dog is critical. A person's body language and tone of voice can say more to a dog than words ever could. That means I physically get down onto their level for affection, I use positive reinforcement consistently, I talk with them throughout walks, and I keep an eye on their body language as well for signs of happiness, fear, apprehension, etc. I'm confident walking on city streets, in forests/on trails, and in off-leash zones. I just need to know what your pup is most comfortable with and we'll go from there! I am keen to operate within the parameters and routines you've established inside and outside your home, in order to maintain continuity for your pet. This includes checking in with you for specific command words, encouraged and discouraged behaviours and their corresponding rewards/corrections, social situations to work on or avoid, favourite routes, etc. Personally, my pet cat receives as much attention as I can give him. He is highly affectionate, so is usually parked on my lap or somewhere nearby. I used treats/positive reinforcement to train him to shake a paw and sit down. My great fear for my little guy, and for all pets, really, is that he is bored, understimulated, or lonely. Because of this, I pay special attention to making sure that he is being physically and mentally stimulated in addition to affection. That means exercise and puzzles! I love to find simple games whether we're outside or inside - find-the-thing, makeshift tunnels to run through (if you're brave), seeking out tiny forest creatures to discover, etc. I'm always looking for new brain games for dogs, so if you have a favourite, let me know!

About: From a young age I have always had a love for animals. At age 11 I got my first puppy, a Great Dane named Lucy. Lucy ended up having severe reactivity towards other dogs. Through her I quickly realized I had a passion and natural talent for dog training and soon decided to pursue a career in the training field. I have dabbled in many sports such as flyball, agility, rally, nosework, disc, and even some lure coursing! I rescued a dog of my very own in 2014, a very anxious, high energy, one year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Charles. I didn't give up on Charlie, and through training, lots of structure in his daily outings, and patience, Charlie is still my beloved companion years later. I learnt so much through Charlie, and I believe strongly that the best way to have a healthy, happy dog is through a balance of exercise, enrichment, training, and a positive bond with their owner, and hope to help people enjoy each and everyday with their canine friends! I specifically love specifically to work with German Shepherd and Shepherd mixes, as a “Shepherd Person” myself and have lots of experience with large, strong, and reactive dogs. About: I worked at animal emerge clinic of the Fraser Valley for almost 4 years and I love taking care of animals and giving them the love that they deserve. I can be pretty flexible but I am a dancer and this is what my schedule is like for right now Sundays 5:00pm-9:00pm, Wednesday 6:30-9:30pm, Thursdays 3:30, 5:00pm and Fridays 7:00pm-10pm. I can be pretty flexible and whatever your needs are for your pets. I will always do my best to make sure your dog is looked after.

About: Growing up, my family had 2 large dogs. I have always had a love for animals, big and small. At this stage in my life, I do not have any pets of my own. I am a loving aunty to my sister’s two dogs, Gus and Hopps; my dad’s dog, Ollie; my uncle’s dog, Moffat, and my sister-in-law’s cat named Ben. Not to mention, an honorary aunt to countless friends’ pets. I have had the pleasure of pet-sitting dogs and cats of all ages, including an adorable 15 year old Boston Terrier with various health issues requiring timed medication and a rescue dog that required daily physiotherapy exercises and massage for some muscle and joint pain he was experiencing. I work a full-time job Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. Depending on the situation, I can do a morning walk before work, an evening walk after work, and a later walk before bed. My partner is often happy to assist with a lunch-time walk as needed and based on the comfort of the owner. About: My background in caregiving and my natural patience with both people and animals. I understand that every dog has different needs, personalities, and comfort levels. As a parent and caregiver, I'm used to being responsible, attentive, and adaptable. I'm also Pet First Aid certified and committed to providing a safe, positive experience for every dog in my care. As someone who has ADHD and autism, I often notice details others might miss and take routines and instructions seriously, which helps me provide consistent, individualized care. I believe pets are family, and I treat them with the same kindness, respect, and attention I would want for my own Dog walking is the perfect combination of exercise, companionship, and helping pet owners feel confident their pets are receiving quality care. I was recently diagnosed with autism and ADHD at 28 years old and I find most of my comfort with my families dog (Dotty) who I walk everyday. Throughout the day, we spend time outside exploring local trails, parks, or neighborhood walks, depending on the weather and her energy level. I make sure she always has fresh water, plenty of attention, and opportunities for play When caring for pets, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible, I understand like people dogs also have different personalities that all have different needs. For example, If a pet is shy or nervous, I'll give them space and let them approach me at their own pace. If they're energetic, I'll make sure they get plenty of physical and mental stimulation to keep them happy and engaged.

About: My family and I are owners to a three year old big lab/mastiff cross who although is a gentle giant, can also get a bit crazy so if I can handle him I think I can handle anything. I’ve had a dog my whole life and I can’t imagine life without one. I have lots of experience dog sitting with both small and big dogs and there’s nothing I enjoy more than spending my days with them. When I am hanging out with the dogs I want them to feel totally at ease while keeping to their normal habits and routine, whether that be their normal walks, play time or snuggling. While you’re away from your pets they are missing you so I like to give them love and comfort while you’re gone.

About: I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family with lots of animals and my mom was a vet tech so not only was I allowed to go to work with her and learn a lot of different medical things regarding cats and dogs, but I also helped out with babysitting housesitting a lot of animals with medical conditions. As a pet owner, I also understand the feeling of when you need help with your animals and having somebody that you know that cares and respect your animals just as much as you do. I work full-time, but I am more available in the evenings or during the night if you are doing a graveyard or a 12 hour shift where you need to have relief for your animal I treat them with respect and I would treat them as they were my own. It to ensure that they are comfortable and all their needs are being met.
