About: Hi there my name is Lucy. I am a Surrey based petsitter who is well trained in the care of many small and large animals. I previously worked on a rescue farm and have owned, fostered, and rescued many pets. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, mice, rats, fish, frogs, ducks, chicken, horses, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, Guinea pigs, rabbits….! I can clean, feed, medicate and treat your babies with much love! My schedule changes throughout the year- currently open for overnight sittings for between 2-7 day blocks. When I’m back at my regular work schedule I will alter my availability to reflect this (typically unable to provide sitting throughout the day time/week days, but still able for drop in visits and walks in the evenings). I will follow your routine and happy to be flexible. Sleep on the bed, in a crate, potty breaks in the yard/on a walk… you name it. Want updates and photos? No problem :)
About: Hey, I'm Jen, Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm in Scotland, surrounded by working dogs and all kinds of other animals. This upbringing gave me hands on experience with animals of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments and it’s where my love for animals truly began. I also volunteer at a bird rescue, which I find incredibly rewarding. I moved to Canada in 2012 and fell in love with the outdoor lifestyle and the wonderful pet loving community here in BC. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime in the yard, or just providing calm companionship, I take pride in offering attentive, reliable care to every pet I look after. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I have another job but primarily work from home with a flexible schedule. Some days are lighter than others. This gives me plenty of time to care for pets and take them on regular walks. A lot of the time my husband joins me for house sitting, and he shares my passion for animals. I’ve been house sitting for several years and always treat your home with the same care and respect I give my own. I understand how important it is to feel confident that both your pets and your home are in safe, reliable hands while you're away. I’ve also worked with dogs that required additional care due to illness, so I’m comfortable administering medication and following specific routines when needed. I prefer to do a meet and greet before confirming any bookings. It gives us a chance to connect, helps your pets get familiar with me, and ensures we're the right fit for each other. I have a dog named Toby, who’s a Standard Poodle crossed with a Komondor. He weighs 75 pounds and is a lovable goof with a big personality. Toby is my constant companion and joins me wherever I go. He’s energetic, playful, and very intelligent, having learned many commands through training. We both enjoy going on walks and discovering new places together.
About: I have been caring for dogs my entire life as I have always had one! I have cared for very little dogs as well as very large dogs as my mom has a Newfoundland dog. I also take care of my 4 dogs at home. I love taking them on walks to the park and beach. I'm also very patient and I know how to handle any accidents your dog may have with patience. I currently have 4 miniature dachshunds, 1 toy poodle, 2 sugar gliders, and a hedgehog at home. It’s safe to say I am an animal lover! With so many animals, I have learned to be very diligent with remembering to feed them all and care for them all at once. I am confident I would do a fantastic job at taking care of your pet! :) I work from home so I have plenty of time to care for your pet. I'm available for dog boarding, house sitting, doggy daycare, drop in visits and anything else you may need any day of the week! I have a fenced yard. I also have four friendly dogs to keep your pets company. I can also easily crate your dog if needed.

“Vanessa, did an incredible job watching my cat Benson well I was away. She took lots of photos when she was there and I came back to a happy cat. She truly went above and beyond. She was quick to respond to my messages and the key pickup and drop off was seamless. I would highly recommend Vanessa, I know I plan to rehire her again to watch my cat on my next trip out of town.”

About: Each family is different and have different requirements when it comes to the care of their furry loved ones and I always strive to meet and surpass any expectations when it comes to that care and love. I do not participate in the average 9-5 work shift like the majority of people. I can absolutely care for your furry friends as it’s my favourite way to spend my time. My routine involves my own dog and making sure we’re fed, healthy, and fit; going for walks and hikes on small trails. Other than caring for my four-legged friend, I spend my time enjoying hobbies. I have a lovely front and back yard that my dog loves to run around in and loves to play with her best friend whenever he’s out and about! There are two dogs total living in my house, they are both very friendly and *very* high energy/playful. Both are small-medium sized and are the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. I always like to have a note pad at the ready for any specific care needs and my house is clumsy/dog proofed. I like to put the needs of animals first before my own, how else are they gonna reach the *dog-safe cookies* in the cookie jar?! Anything you need from me will always be top priority for your pet!

About: I've always loved dogs, but there's a special place in my heart for the big ones! I love puppies, seniors and everydog in between (my Saint Bernard x Great Dane x Boxer agrees). I know fitness and walkies are important, but sniffies are stimulating too - I'm patient while they check their pee-mail. I'd love for your dog to join us (or just me) on a walk - or run! - soon 💜 I have a bit of an odd schedule with working at the hospital, but daily walks are a non-negotiable for me, so hopefully we can work something out! Send me a message any time and I'll do my best to respond ASAP As a dog owner, I know how important safety is, and not just in the physical sense. From psychological triggers to potential allergens, I'm willing to work with pet parents to make sure I can do my best to keep pets feeling safe and comfortable during our time together.

My background with dogs has strengthened my ability to stay calm and be focused in stressful situations, ensuring your pet receives the best care possible. With a natural love for animals and a commitment to their well-being, I will provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment for your furry friend! I am currently in University pursing a criminology degree, so most of my schedule is pretty flexible. I will usually offer day time sitting in the afternoon and evenings and overnight only on the weekends (Friday & Saturday). I provide tailored pet care in my home or the client’s home, ensuring each pet's specific needs are met with personalized attention, regular exercise, feeding, and lots of affection.
“Kendra was an AMAZING cat sitter! I had her for 6 days while I was away, and she demonstrated reliability by showing up on time, provided regular updates and photos that reassured me while I was away, highly responsive, and demonstrated genuine care and trustworthiness by the initial meet and greet. I appreciate the extra tasks she completed around the house as well, came home to a happy and healthy cat, highly recommended!”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and I really felt that when I had to leave my own dog, Suarez, behind for business travel. I remember how hard that felt, constantly wondering how he was doing, hoping he was actually being cared for, and wishing I had more than just a quick update. That experience is a big part of why I do this the way I do now. I recently stepped away from my corporate career to focus on working with animals and creating a space where dogs can feel comfortable, settled, and genuinely cared for while their owners are away. At home, I have a 12 year old Labrador who is calm, gentle, and incredibly intuitive with other dogs. He naturally helps create a low-pressure environment and is often the first to share his toys and help new dogs settle in. Outside of the home, I volunteer at a farm sanctuary working with rescue animals, many from difficult backgrounds. That experience has strengthened my ability to read behaviour, notice small changes, and adjust care based on what each animal needs. I’m also certified in Canadian Red Cross First Aid for Dogs & Cats and continue to study canine behaviour, communication, and nutrition so I can better understand and care for the dogs that stay with me. Experience & Certifications: • Canadian Red Cross First Aid for Dogs & Cats • Ongoing study in canine behaviour, communication, and nutrition • Volunteer experience at a farm sanctuary working with rescue animals I keep things intentionally low volume, with only a small number of dogs at a time, so each one gets the attention, structure, and environment they need to feel at ease. What matters most to me is that you can actually relax while you’re away, knowing your dog is safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Caring for dogs is my full-time focus, so the day is built around what they need. With only two dogs here at a time, I’m able to really pay attention to how each dog is settling in and adjust based on their energy, personality, and comfort level. Most days include a mix of time outside and at home, whether that’s walks around the neighborhood or nearby trails. Some dogs love getting out and exploring, while others, especially seniors, do better with shorter, slower walks and more time to rest, so I always follow what works best for them. I’m home most of the day, and the only time I step out is a few times during the week for about an hour to an hour and a half. Before I leave, I always make sure your dog has been walked and settled so they can relax comfortably. Any time on their own is brief, and never for long. What your dog’s time here can look like: Your dog’s day is a mix of time outside, time at home, and proper rest. Depending on their personality and energy, their stay may include: - Walks around the neighborhood or nearby trails - Scent-based walks where they can explore at their own pace - Puzzle toys and simple scent games inside - Time in the kitchen making dog-safe treats together (with your approval) - Quiet rest and downtime around the home Every dog is different, so I adjust the day based on what helps them feel most comfortable and settled. The environment your dog will be in: -Only 2 dogs at a time (no overcrowding) -Dedicated entry space (fully turfed garage) for post-walk clean up, drying off, and settling in comfortably -Full access to the home, designed to feel familiar and relaxed -Dogs are welcome on the couch, ottomans, and bed (just like home) -Space set up for both play and downtime depending on what your dog enjoys -Fully fenced backyard + access to nearby walking paths Updates while you’re away: As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to know your dog is doing well. What you can expect from my end: - Daily updates with photos or short videos - Notes from every visit on how they’re settling in and anything I’m noticing Getting started: I like to keep things simple and low stress for both you and your dog. Step 1: Meet & Greet I always like to start with a meet and greet, typically around 30 minutes or less, so we have a chance to get to know each other and make sure it feels like a great fit for everyone. It also gives me a chance to learn more about your pup’s routine, personality, energy level, behaviours, and anything important I should know ahead of their stay. I have a few go to parks that I find work really well for meet and greets, otherwise we can always coordinate another location that’s comfortable and convenient. Step 2: Pre-Stay Details As we get closer to your booking, I’ll collect a few final details like feeding schedule, veterinary information, emergency contacts, medications, and anything else needed to make sure your dog is cared for properly while they’re here. Suarez and I are excited to welcome your pup into our home! 😊
About: Currently volunteering at Delta Community Animal Shelter, providing their dogs with enrichment, socializing, and play. I have hands-on experience working with dogs that have a wide range of needs. I specialize in supporting reactive dogs with calm, patient, dog-led care that gives them space to feel safe and understood. My approach is enrichment-based and focused on the individual dog in front of me. I pay attention to body language, the environment, distance from triggers, and what each dog needs that day. I believe walks should be more than exercise. They should help dogs sniff, explore, decompress, and feel more settled. I have experience with large dogs, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and dogs who need slower introductions or extra advocacy on walks. I use positive reinforcement and do not use prong collars, choke chains, or e-collars. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, respected, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. Dogs are already a big part of my daily life. I plan my schedule around dog walks, enrichment, routines, and giving each dog the time and space they need. I only take on pets when I know I can give them calm, focused, reliable care. I treat every dog and home with care and respect. In a client’s home, I follow instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and make sure your dog feels safe. On walks, I’m aware of body language, triggers, leash handling, and surroundings so your dog is never rushed or put into situations they cannot handle.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
