About: 🏡 STAY & PLAY! Picture your pup curled up on the couch after a good walk, tail thumping, fully at ease — because for the length of their stay, they're the only dog in the house and the only thing on my mind. No competing for attention, no chaos, just consistent one-on-one care from someone who's spent 15+ years loving dogs like family. What Sets Me Apart: • 🐕 All Eyes on Your Pup: No dogs of my own means zero competition for attention, toys, or affection — your dog is the star of the stay, not one of the pack. • 🏢 Calm, Cozy Home Base: My apartment is quiet, comfortable and spacious — no stairs to navigate, no other pets to negotiate, just a relaxed space to settle in and feel safe. • 🌳 Walks They'll Look Forward To: Dog Park just minutes away, and it's part of our daily routine — sniff-heavy strolls, brisk exercise, whatever fits. • 🥎 Off-Leash Fun Nearby: Dog Play area in my building, for fetch, zoomies, and making new friends when they're up for it. • 🐾 I Match Their Energy: Up for a long hike or a lazy cuddle day — I take my cues from your dog, not the other way around. • ❤️ 15+ Years as a Dog Owner: From puppy chaos to senior-dog care, I've been through every stage — nothing rattles me. • 📅 Small, Personal Bookings: I keep my schedule light so I'm never rushing between pups — your dog gets real time, not a time-share. Every dog I care for gets treated like they're already family. I believe a little patience, a lot of walks, and genuine attention go a long way toward a pup feeling at home — even somewhere new. I'm working hybrid and work for home for most of the days and I would have lots of time to play have spend quality time with your pets. I have plenty of space in my apartment and also a huge balcony with high fence and also floor to ceiling windows in my living room. Most of the pets love to sit and enjoy the view outside.

Vanessa, did an incredible job watching my cat Benson well I was away. She took lots of photos when she was there and I came back to a happy cat. She truly went above and beyond. She was quick to respond to my messages and the key pickup and drop off was seamless. I would highly recommend Vanessa, I know I plan to rehire her again to watch my cat on my next trip out of town.

Marisa did a wonderful job looking after and feeding Ginny. My other cat stayed at the vet due to his health problems and so Ginny was all alone. She spent extra time with her and she seemed very calm and happy when I returned.I would recommend Marisa for cat sitting anytime. Submitted by Sandy

About: Only Accept One Dog at a Time Why We Started Rover Our beloved dog, Hockey, passed away in September 2025 at the incredible age of 19 years and 11 months. After nearly two decades together, our home felt empty. We joined Rover because we missed having dogs in our lives. Today, every dog who stays with us is welcomed like family and cared for with the same love, patience, and respect that Hockey inspired. Every dog is different. Before each stay, we take the time to learn about your dog's personality, routines, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable. We carefully follow your instructions so your dog experiences as little disruption as possible. Daily Updates We know you'll miss your furry family member, so we'll send plenty of photos and videos throughout their stay, giving you peace of mind that they're happy, safe, and loved. While you're enjoying your vacation, your dog will be enjoying theirs—a true 5-Star Home Stay & Play experience. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a slower pace, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—just like they would at home. I’m working from home during weekdays, so your dog will always have company and attention. I enjoy taking dogs on walks in the morning, at lunch, and in the evening. I make sure they get plenty of exercise each day and am happy to run with them at the nearby soccer field In our home, we care for pets as if they were our own—offering plenty of love, attention, and a calm, safe environment. We follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, play, and rest, to keep them comfortable and happy. Outdoor time is always supervised in our little fenced yard, Whether it’s cuddle time or quiet time, we adjust to each dog’s unique needs so they feel right at home.

We had a great first meet with Anju, she was calm, patient, and took the time to let Rocco get comfortable at his own pace. Even though Rocco can be a bit feisty and rowdy, she handled him with confidence and kindness. It was clear Anju genuinely cares about dogs and understand that every dog has their own personality. I appreciated her positive attitude and would be happy to have her spend time with Rocco again. Highly recommended!

Finn took great care of my cat Root and was incredibly attentive throughout the stay. He kept very detailed updates and records, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. Most importantly, Root clearly liked him and was very comfortable around him. I really appreciated all the care and attention he gave her, and I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 11. Strangers, friends, family, and neighbors trusted me in feeding, exercising, loving as well as staying in their home for a few weeks at a time to do so. Recently I was a full time doggy daycare/overnight attendant at a company in Port Moody. I was handling on average 80 dogs during the day and 25 at night. I work Monday-Friday until 4:30 pm in Richmond and I'm back in North Delta by 5:00pm. My weekends are completely free and I am flexible. When boarding at my home, I can do potty breaks as often as needed. There is a patch of grass with trees right by the house. I am in a basement suite so it’s a bit smaller, but dogs are welcome anywhere in the house. There is a forest area a 10 minute walk from my house, and East White Rocm beach a 20 minute walk from my house. I can take the to either/both for some good sniffing and exercise. For home visits & walks, if you have a fenced yard I am able to take them outside and play with them and clean up after their potty breaks. If they’re in need of walking I can take them on hikes, walks, and runs up to 10km, and if there are nearby parks or fields I could take them there to play and run for however long needed.

About: Me watching a dog brings me such happiness. My love for dogs started when I used to sell pet insurance for dogs... Learning about the different breeds and how they all behave differently. Seeing a different dog each day in the office … From a game of fetch Or a little bit of tug and war... Uphill hikes or a quick jog around the park... I am your lady... I like to walk and read to them and I currently dog sit for my friends and family ... I am a respectable person and if I could be a dog... I would be an Italian Greyhound :) I will be happy to serve your dog and love them just like you do I’m currently available to watch your beloved pets anytime... I am open to longer stays as well, I do work from home most days but twice a week, I go into the office... I like to snuggle with the dog while I read to them or we watch TV… At this current time, I’m unable to have dogs in my home but I’ll be OK to watch them at your house and provide them with the safety and the assurance that comes with being in their own home

About: Dogs are the best companions! My family has always held a special place for them in our hearts. Ever since I (Jenzel) was 7 years old, I’ve taken care of our neighbours, friends and family’s dogs, so being around them is second nature. My family and I have owned a golden retriever named Buddy and a yorkie named Mickie. My partner Jomari and I became dog parents to our sweet little girl, Capri; a 2 year old cocker spaniel who we adopted from Nova Scotia. 🥰 Since I work from home, I have the flexibility to manage my own schedule and the time to do what I love! We want to open our doors to care for your dog — whether you’re gone for a trip overseas or a quick getaway, or need a helping hand a few days throughout the week, we’re here to help and spread the love and care that your furry best friend needs.✨ We live in a family friendly neighbourhood and a dog safe home, so we have no doubt your dog will thrive and enjoy their time! About: Hey, I'm Jen, Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm in Scotland, surrounded by working dogs and all kinds of other animals. This upbringing gave me hands on experience with animals of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments and it’s where my love for animals truly began. I also volunteer at a bird rescue, which I find incredibly rewarding. I moved to Canada in 2012 and fell in love with the outdoor lifestyle and the wonderful pet loving community here in BC. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime in the yard, or just providing calm companionship, I take pride in offering attentive, reliable care to every pet I look after. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I have another job but primarily work from home with a flexible schedule. Some days are lighter than others. This gives me plenty of time to care for pets and take them on regular walks. A lot of the time my husband joins me for house sitting, and he shares my passion for animals. I’ve been house sitting for several years and always treat your home with the same care and respect I give my own. I understand how important it is to feel confident that both your pets and your home are in safe, reliable hands while you're away. I’ve also worked with dogs that required additional care due to illness, so I’m comfortable administering medication and following specific routines when needed. I prefer to do a meet and greet before confirming any bookings. It gives us a chance to connect, helps your pets get familiar with me, and ensures we're the right fit for each other. I have a dog named Toby, who’s a Standard Poodle crossed with a Komondor. He weighs 75 pounds and is a lovable goof with a big personality. Toby is my constant companion and joins me wherever I go. He’s energetic, playful, and very intelligent, having learned many commands through training. We both enjoy going on walks and discovering new places together.

It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
