“My senior dog is unaccustomed to being alone and I’m seldom without him because I work from home. When I needed to be downtown for an all-day conference, I was fortunate to find Jan on Rover.com. Jan instills confidence and assurance in the warm and professional way she communicates and conducts bookings. She was flexible about the drop-off time and very accommodating with Toby’s schedule. Full disclosure: I’m one of those annoying fretting pet parents who constantly worries about their dog so it is a big deal for me to leave him with someone else. By time our booking came around I had no qualms about leaving Toby with Jan. I wasn’t wrong because Toby thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with Jan (and Earl). Jan is experienced, intuitive and understands dogs (and people). She took excellent care of my boy. To reassure me, she checked-in throughout the day which was much appreciated. A bonus: Jan was a professional photographer before she retired so I received lovely candid shots of Toby for my image collection. I have 10 years of hands‑on experience raising my Boston Terrier from birth and caring for her through every stage of life, including her final battle with cancer. She taught me to be patient, playful, attentive, and deeply affectionate with every dog I meet. I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of my friends and family’s dogs, and know how hard it can be to be away from your little fur babies but also at the same time be able to enjoy some alone time. Your dog will get ample time to play, walk or hike ( depending on your dogs abilities) relax, snooze, and of course, eat! My husband works from home and loves spending time with dogs too, so your pup will always have company. I live in a townhouse where your dog will never be far from my sight, not that many places to go lol. I live in a quiet neighborhood, where our backyard is fenced and not easily accessible to public. We have carpeted stairs making it easier to get up and down and a large carpet in the living room for them to roll around and scratch their backs!

“Our Coby is a 11-month old maltipoo. Wei is a perfect dog sitter and is very knowledgeable. We easily felt at ease with her during our meet and greet a few days before the scheduled day care. She kept us up to date on Coby’s activities throughout the day with lots of photos and videos which made us feel assured that he was doing well and was in great hands. About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs. I have two dogs back home and one dog here in Canada. I walk and run with them three times a day. I also feed them and play with them using toys. I took a lot of lessons after having my dogs, including their behaviors, the best ways to take care of them and the symptoms of them being sick. I love animals so much that my mom said I couldn’t sleep without my dog staying under my bed. I have tons of treats and toys at home. I hope to have the chance to help you look after your dogs and make both of you happy :) Looking forward to meet your babies! Walk 2-3 times at least a day, can adjust schedule based on requests. My partner has his own photo studio in Richmond that he can bring dogs to the space and engage with them during the day if you are up for it. Fenced yard, crate available, can feed raw, freeze dried, or kibble/can. Our own dog is eating raw and I have extensive knowledge about this diet!
