She was great! Easy to deal with and followed all instructions provided. Our cat is not easy to deal with when we’re not home but she must have managed it very well.

About: I have a deep love for animals and for treating them with love and respect. I am patient, kind, and fun. Growing up, we had many kittens and puppies that we raised and nurtured to be fine adult cats and dogs. I’m currently transitioning from a high pressure corporate career to a more relaxed and peaceful phase and have lots of time available for pet sitting, walking and checking in. I’m available most days and evenings, including weekends. I can care for pets in their homes, I am conscientious of what pet parents require. I appreciate clear communication. I’m also happy to care for elderly pets or those who require special attention.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have 4 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs. Raising my own reactive quarantine pup taught me patience, structure, and positive reinforcement. I helped her become calmer and more comfortable around people, animals, and busy environments through consistent socialization and exposure training. I’m attentive to each dog’s unique personality and committed to providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while you’re away. I am currently working part-time while focusing on online classes, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive pet care. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by following their normal routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions provided by owners. I always make sure pets have fresh water, a clean environment, and lots of attention while in my care.

About: I grew up with a Morkie named Lewis. As an only child, he was the closest thing I’ve had to a sibling. For 15 years we were very best friends. I learned how to be a responsible pet owner from a young age. By the time I was 12, I was responsible for making sure Lewis was walked, fed, and cared for after school. I miss caring for my dog and can’t wait to care for others soon! I am about to finish university for the summer and will have lots of spare time on my hands. I work a part time job in the evenings about 4-5 times a week. My shifts between Monday and Thursday typically start at 3:30 and end by 8:00. From Friday to Sunday, my shifts start around 2:30 and generally end around 10:00. I am very careful with dogs. Safety is my top priority as I genuinely care for all animals. I would always supervise my dog in the backyard, and a leash was always worn on walks. All dogs have different dietary needs, so I find it very important to keep all foods out of reach.

I recently booked Darlee to care for my newly diagnosed diabetic cat, and we couldn't be happier with her service. She showed genuine care and took the time to understand my cat's specific needs, including monitoring her insulin levels and diet. Her patience and experience with pets, especially those with medical conditions, were evident. Darlee provided regular updates, ensuring I was informed about my cat's well-being. Both me and my husband highly recommend her to anyone in need of a compassionate and knowledgeable pet sitter. Thank you, Darlee for your outstanding care!

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs. I’ve cared for a wide range of breeds and ages while regularly helping friends, family, and neighbours with walking, feeding and general care. I’m patient and attentive and I take the time to follow each dog’s routine so they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I genuinely love spending time with them so it’s no hassle at all! I’m currently free and flexible Monday to Friday during the daytime, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and some house sitting. I can easily adjust to your pet’s routine and needs. I make sure pets aren’t left alone for long periods and always prioritize consistency, comfort, and reliability. I’m calm and reliable when caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. I always follow instructions closely, including feeding, routines, and any special needs. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely at ease while I’m helping, and I’m always happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind.

About: From a young age I have always had a love for animals. At age 11 I got my first puppy, a Great Dane named Lucy. Lucy ended up having severe reactivity towards other dogs. Through her I quickly realized I had a passion and natural talent for dog training and soon decided to pursue a career in the training field. I have dabbled in many sports such as flyball, agility, rally, nosework, disc, and even some lure coursing! I rescued a dog of my very own in 2014, a very anxious, high energy, one year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Charles. I didn't give up on Charlie, and through training, lots of structure in his daily outings, and patience, Charlie is still my beloved companion years later. I learnt so much through Charlie, and I believe strongly that the best way to have a healthy, happy dog is through a balance of exercise, enrichment, training, and a positive bond with their owner, and hope to help people enjoy each and everyday with their canine friends! I specifically love specifically to work with German Shepherd and Shepherd mixes, as a “Shepherd Person” myself and have lots of experience with large, strong, and reactive dogs. My Resume Includes: -NESDECA Certified Detection Dog Team/Handler -12+ Years of dog training and walking experience -Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT, PCTIA Certified, Good Dog Academy) -Graduate of Holly and Hugo Academy's Animal Psychology, Pet Adoption, Pet Nutrition, Animal Training and Pet Sitting, and Dog Grooming courses -Taken Dr Ian Dunbar's Crucial Concepts in Dog behaviour and Training (Over 10 hours of lecture) -Senior Trainer at SpiritDog Training I currently work as a trainer. Previously I used to do dog walking but stopped over the pandemic. I’ve missed it and would like to take on a small group of clients to get back into walking and walk & trains! I treat all pets as if they were my own and pride myself that my clients dogs will receive all the same effort and care as my own dogs do, and the level of care I would expect my dogs to receive in the care of others.

About: I have taken care of a few dachshunds and miniature pinchers for friends and family for about 6 years. Feeding, walking, and playing with them. I have grown up with cats as well. I believe that it is important to take each pet's individual personality and preferences into account when caring for them. I have experience with dogs with disabilities, more specifically I have been taking care of a dachshund with IVDD for 2 years, helping him get around and giving medication. He had 4 spinal surgeries over the past 2 years. I currently work for Rocky Mountaineer train, which is a seasonal job (April until mid October). I work from Friday to Monday. My open availability will be every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. I own a pet ramp for easy access to furniture that is accessible to small or disabled animals. If your pet needs medication, I encourage a detailed instructive list on how to make your pet as comfortable as possible for a swift recovery. Over all, my main goal is to make your pet feel safe and happy when the owner is away. I have 2 years experience with disabled dogs.

About: I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family with lots of animals and my mom was a vet tech so not only was I allowed to go to work with her and learn a lot of different medical things regarding cats and dogs, but I also helped out with babysitting housesitting a lot of animals with medical conditions. As a pet owner, I also understand the feeling of when you need help with your animals and having somebody that you know that cares and respect your animals just as much as you do. I work full-time, but I am more available in the evenings or during the night if you are doing a graveyard or a 12 hour shift where you need to have relief for your animal I treat them with respect and I would treat them as they were my own. It to ensure that they are comfortable and all their needs are being met.

About: Use my link to get $20 off your first booking with rover! https://www.rover.com/sit/savanl64780 I’ve had dogs in my life from a young age and truly can’t imagine a home without them. Growing up with both a small teacup dog and later a Malamute/Siberian Husky mix gave me experience with very different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I now have my own 10-month-old Australian Shepherd, and raising him has been such a meaningful experience. I’ve been consistently training with him since he was three months old, focusing on structure, patience, and building a strong bond. That experience has strengthened my understanding of how important routine and clear communication are for dogs to feel secure. In addition, I foster puppies through a rescue organization. Each puppy is different in age, breed, and temperament, and I genuinely enjoy helping them settle in, build confidence, and feel safe in a new environment. It’s important to me that every dog in my care feels comfortable, understood, and truly looked after. Dogs are just part of my normal day. I bring my own pup to work with me, so caring for dogs and planning around walks is something I already do. I’m available most Tuesdays, weekends, and after 5:30pm on weekdays. I’m naturally attentive when it comes to dogs, and it really matters to me that they feel safe, comfortable, and understood while they’re with me. I try to keep things calm and steady so they can settle in easily and feel secure. You can expect clear communication and regular updates, because I know how much peace of mind matters when you’re away from your dog. I want you to feel confident knowing they’re being genuinely cared for. On walks, I pay attention to their pace, energy, and comfort level so the experience feels positive and not rushed. I live on a fully fenced 10-acre property with plenty of safe space to explore and play, which is especially great for dogs who enjoy being outdoors. I also have my dog, Walter, who is very friendly and loves making new friends if your dog is comfortable with that. If I’m entering your home, I’m always respectful of your space and your routine. I understand the trust that comes with caring for someone’s dog, and I take that seriously.

Mya was absolutely amazing with our anti-social chihuahua + our own anxious selves (this was our first time hiring a petsitter). She was so compassionate and patient with our doggy and worked to earn his trust, which is incredible because he does NOT like many people. She did an amazing job communicating with us while we were away (sending pictures and wee stories), and just overall, this was a 10/10 experience for us. We are so grateful we found her and would hire her again in a heartbeat!

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
