“Thank you Ashley! Ashley checked in on our cat in our home every day for a week while we were away and she did a fantastic job, going above and beyond in all aspects. Photos of our cat were sent daily and she accomodated all of our senior cats needs. We applaud Ashleys integrity, compassion, professionalism and reliability! Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with a Morkie named Lewis. As an only child, he was the closest thing I’ve had to a sibling. For 15 years we were very best friends. I learned how to be a responsible pet owner from a young age. By the time I was 12, I was responsible for making sure Lewis was walked, fed, and cared for after school. I miss caring for my dog and can’t wait to care for others soon! I am about to finish university for the summer and will have lots of spare time on my hands. I work a part time job in the evenings about 4-5 times a week. My shifts between Monday and Thursday typically start at 3:30 and end by 8:00. From Friday to Sunday, my shifts start around 2:30 and generally end around 10:00. I am very careful with dogs. Safety is my top priority as I genuinely care for all animals. I would always supervise my dog in the backyard, and a leash was always worn on walks. All dogs have different dietary needs, so I find it very important to keep all foods out of reach.
About: I grew up with two dogs, two cats and 5 reptiles, and have always loved animals! Now, I have three dogs of my own, all rescued. I've gained a lot of experience training my dogs myself, but I've also worked with a number of professional trainers who specialize in dog behaviour and reactivity. This experience has not only helped me better understand and manage my own dogs' behaviour, it has also led me to find my passion for working with animals and their humans to help them live their best lives together! I have completed The Dog Walker Certificate and The Daycare & Boarding Management Certificate through The Good Dog in Port Moody and believe in positive reinforcement training. It's important to me that your dog always feels safe in my care. I also love taking photos, especially of dogs, and have worked with local rescues to photograph some adoption events. Please let me know if you're interested in a pup portrait so I can bring my camera along on our adventures! (1 free pet portrait with a professional camera per walk booked) I'm currently doing shift work and have a very flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate for your dogs needs! I will have my calendar updated but feel free to message me as I might be able to accommodate one walk on some days I work! At this time I can't take care of dogs in my own home as one of my dogs is reactive to new dogs. But I'm happy to do drop in visits! Whatever the dog needs during the drop-in whether that's that's medication administration, feeding or just a snuggle on the couch!
About: I’ve been providing day care, boarding, walks, bathroom and water breaks for dogs of all dispositions and needs for over 8 years now. I have experience with dogs who are reactive, disabled, elderly, grumpy, easy going, good on leash, terrible on leash, love other dogs, hate other dogs and everything in between! I am skilled at reading dog behaviour and energy shifts, and anticipating and diffusing undesirable interactions between dogs. I will provide continuity with training goals and language if that’s where you’re at, and I have experience with dogs with medical conditions who need some extra help and lots of patience. I have several long term clients and can happily provide references. Canine care is my full time job, and I take it very seriously. I am accommodating, flexible and responsive, and can work with you to come up with a schedule that works for you and your pup. From one offs and last minute requests, to long term, predictable scheduling, I’m just happy to get to spend time with your pup! I am canine first aid certified, and I’m cautious and caring. I’m attentive on walks (I’m familiar with the tries-to-eat-everything and the makes-it-weird-on-leash variety of dog), and I’m tuned in and present when dogs are in my home (I’m also familiar with the counter-surfing, toy shredding, sock eating variety of dog). I have a dedicated basement suite that is set up to be a safe and comfortable pup haven, with easy access to a large, securely fenced backyard. Whether your pup is a couch dog, floor dog, crate dog or bed dog, I have all the surfaces. I’m present with the dogs when they’re in my home, and provide a loving space and as many ear/chin/head/belly/butt scratches as your dog could possibly want!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have hands-on experience caring for puppies and dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment is very important to me, and I treat every dog like family. I’m patient, attentive, and understand the extra care, routine, and attention puppies often need. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, cared for, and at home while you’re away. Pet care naturally fits into my daily life because I genuinely enjoy being around dogs. I have a flexible routine, so I can easily adjust my day to include walks, feeding, playtime, and one-on-one attention. I like creating a calm, consistent environment so pets feel secure and cared for, and I make sure they always get the time and attention they need without being rushed. Safety and trust are very important to me. I provide a calm, caring home with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and relax. I have two friendly dogs and a friendly cat that can help keep your fur baby company, if they’re comfortable. I also have a large dog crate available if needed. Pets receive regular walks, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while I follow their usual routines to keep them comfortable. I also offer drop-in visits for feeding, walks, and check-ins. I do not stay overnight in clients’ homes, but I’m reliable and make sure each visit is focused on your pet’s safety and needs.
About: Pets are my lifelong companions, and caring for them has been my passion from the very beginning. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and various domestic animals, I learned the art of tender love and understanding of their unique needs. From rabbits to parrots and birds, I've embraced the joy of nurturing all creatures great and small. Now, I bring my boundless love and expertise to Rover.com, where I'm dedicated to providing exceptional pet services that speak to the heart of every fur parent and their beloved companions. Flexible, Fun, and Furry-Friendly! Working from home allows me to dedicate ample time to your pups. Enjoying long walks in the woods? Count me in! Your pets are in loving hands with me. “Many thanks to Vivian for agreeing to do a drop-in on a short notice. She kept me updated with messages and photos as usual. Vivian also put my computer cables away from the kitties-much appreciated! I’m very happy with the service and attention to detail. I’ll continue to use Vivian’s petsitting service in the future.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and have raised rescue cats for most of it, while also caring for dogs and other pets along the way. I love discovering each pet’s unique personality - whether they’re playful, shy, or somewhere in between. Your fur baby will be treated like royalty and my new little bestie, with plenty of love, attention, and affection. Think massages, gentle scratches, belly rubs (if invited!), and a calm, comforting presence so they feel safe, happy, and truly cared for while you’re away. You can count on me for reliable, responsible, and attentive care, with every instruction followed, your home respected, and regular updates with photos to keep your mind at ease until you’re back. I work from home 4 days a week, so can easily pop in a morning, lunch, after work, and/or evening visit or walk most days if you live in Maple Ridge or a neighboring municipality. I provide drop-in visits and short walks. I am communicative, will follow your instructions, and treat your pet(s) with the utmost care. It is important to me that your fur baby feels safe and loved, and you feel confident that your pet is being well-taken care of by someone who will shower them with love.
“We love Darlee! Our kitties are always happy and healthy when we get home. Our one cat, Kiwi, who would hide with other cat sitters has warmed up to Darlee and even snuggles with her now! I highly recommend Darlee to look after your babies.”

About: From a young age I have always had a love for animals. At age 11 I got my first puppy, a Great Dane named Lucy. Lucy ended up having severe reactivity towards other dogs. Through her I quickly realized I had a passion and natural talent for dog training and soon decided to pursue a career in the training field. I have dabbled in many sports such as flyball, agility, rally, nosework, disc, and even some lure coursing! I rescued a dog of my very own in 2014, a very anxious, high energy, one year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Charles. I didn't give up on Charlie, and through training, lots of structure in his daily outings, and patience, Charlie is still my beloved companion years later. I learnt so much through Charlie, and I believe strongly that the best way to have a healthy, happy dog is through a balance of exercise, enrichment, training, and a positive bond with their owner, and hope to help people enjoy each and everyday with their canine friends! I specifically love specifically to work with German Shepherd and Shepherd mixes, as a “Shepherd Person” myself and have lots of experience with large, strong, and reactive dogs. My Resume Includes: -NESDECA Certified Detection Dog Team/Handler -12+ Years of dog training and walking experience -Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT, PCTIA Certified, Good Dog Academy) -Graduate of Holly and Hugo Academy's Animal Psychology, Pet Adoption, Pet Nutrition, Animal Training and Pet Sitting, and Dog Grooming courses -Taken Dr Ian Dunbar's Crucial Concepts in Dog behaviour and Training (Over 10 hours of lecture) -Senior Trainer at SpiritDog Training I currently work as a trainer. Previously I used to do dog walking but stopped over the pandemic. I’ve missed it and would like to take on a small group of clients to get back into walking and walk & trains! I treat all pets as if they were my own and pride myself that my clients dogs will receive all the same effort and care as my own dogs do, and the level of care I would expect my dogs to receive in the care of others.
“We couldn't be happier with the care our two Ragdoll cats, Honda and Suzuki, received! From the moment we met her, it was obvious she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. Honda and Suzuki each have their own personalities and routines, and she took the time to get to know them, making sure they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for while we were away. We came home to two relaxed, content cats, which says everything. As any cat owner knows, that's the best sign they were in great hands! She kept us updated with messages and photos, giving us complete peace of mind throughout our trip. It's such a relief knowing we can travel without worrying because we know our cats are being cared for as if they were her own. She is dependable, kind, professional, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. Honda, Suzuki, and we are all very grateful!”

About: I started dog sitting when a family member had to temporarily relocate to Toronto for medical needs. Sitting in the hospital i just really wanted to walk a dog - a friend suggested rover and I was blessed with not only walking dogs but pet sitting as well! i had so much fun I've decided to keep it up :) I have taken care of many animals - I do respite for people and this often includes their animals(: from tiny to large, young to old. Plenty of experience with oral medication and handling incontinence, very energetic dogs and the ones who take their time. I had my border collie for over 15 years, they taught me how important and rewarding it is to thoroughly care for our furry companions. I have extra flexibility during school breaks 😊 typically I take a dog for 3 walks a day, morning, a bigger afternoon walk and before bed time(: if i can I love spending a day hiking, or having a doggy tour guide around the neighborhood 🐾 I care for my client's homes and pets as if they were my own. Dietary needs, mobility, medication, behavior management and other needs are top priority. As well as all the fun(: i own my home in Vancouver and understand the importance of taking care of it. Off leash time i am very cautious and need to build trust first. I do have a dog friendly car:)
About: In my pre-Canada days, I had a blast caring for pets! I trained my award-winning German Shepherd (Jessie) to be a little champ at 5 months old and supported her as she navigated the challenges and stresses of motherhood for the first time, helping her become a great mom to her puppies. A furry tale of cats and character was brought to me by Umka, the feline queen, and her adventurous kittens were a little bundle of surprises that turned my life into a delightful circus. Now in the land of maple leaves, my experience in caring for a cat clan and a faithful dog sets elevate my pet sitting service. I combine instinctive empathy with a flair for fun, offering your pets a uniquely attentive and engaging stay, where their happiness is my priority. I am working from home most days of the week and my family just moved to a townhouse with a backyard and a park right outside the fence. Pet care works well with my schedule and I am highly flexible with my time. 1150 sqf of space for running (and sleeping) + a fenced backyard in a pet friendly neighborhood and 2 dog parks one block of each other
About: Hi! A little bit about me, I’ve been looking after family and friends dogs for over a year. I figured with the summer getting hotter and everyone busy I would love to help you and your furry loved ones get their walks and stay hydrated while your at work or vacation:) I’m currently working part time in Maple Ridge, but have 2 days off within the week always. The schedule is sometimes different but can always let you know ahead of time. I’m usually always free afternoons or after 6 I will always make sure to ask if there is any accommodations needed or rules before entering or leaving the property. Ex. If the the dog is allowed outside I will make sure if a fence needs to be locked or closed a certain way.
About: Hello there! My name is Kailyn and I am a very friendly, compassionate, enthusiastic, and self motivated individual who is a firm believer in giving back to the community and helping those in need in any way possible. I wake up every day wondering who will reach out to me next? Who will need my help? To help others is my mission. Help me help you! I am a fast responder and always eager to learn more to become a better pet parent. I totally understand what it’s like to have a busy schedule, so I am more than happy to help people balance their own when the need arises! I am reliable, meaning I will never leave the owner of a pet wondering if a sitter such as myself will ever arrive or not, and I am patient, knowing that an animal will not always act how you expect them to one hundred percent of the time. It does take a lot of patience and dedication. It is absolutely never a bad idea to get to know someone and their pet first before the owner feels they are comfortable leaving you with them. Making sure they’re a good fit! If you feel I am someone you wouldn’t mind looking after your furry friend, then please, feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you and your companion soon, and I hope you have yourself a wonderful day!
“Sara has been such a lifesaver since we brought home our new puppy and have since gone back to work. It is such a relief knowing someone who is caring, reliable and responsible that we can count on to check in and make sure everything’s okay during the day. Sara is consistently communicative and always sends cute photos to keep me updated during visits. She has also been very tolerant of our older dog who is stranger-anxious, which is so appreciated. I would not hesitate whatsoever to recommend Sara to anyone looking for a responsible and kind pet friend:)”

Caroline is truly wonderful with our full house of pets! ❤️🐾 She gives us such peace of mind knowing that all of our furry family members are in such caring and capable hands. She is incredibly attentive, loving, and responsible, and it’s clear how happy and comfortable our pets are with her. Caroline is also amazing with communication, she responds to texts so quickly and is always available when we need her. Her flexibility and availability make everything so easy and stress free. We’re so grateful for the love and care she gives our pets and our home. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Caroline to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter! ❤️
Mya was absolutely amazing with our anti-social chihuahua + our own anxious selves (this was our first time hiring a petsitter). She was so compassionate and patient with our doggy and worked to earn his trust, which is incredible because he does NOT like many people. She did an amazing job communicating with us while we were away (sending pictures and wee stories), and just overall, this was a 10/10 experience for us. We are so grateful we found her and would hire her again in a heartbeat!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
