“Omg, Viktoriia was amazing!. Very hard to find a new person for our animals and trust with our home. She stayed at our home for 2 weeks and almost daily we would get pictures, videos and updates of our animals and kept our home so clean even doing bedding daundry. More than impressed. Also was happy that if she had questions l, she was not shy to ask. Made me feel more comfortable with the care she was giving. Anyone would be lucky to have her. Would for sure use her services again.”

“Darlee took amazing care of our home and cats while we were away. Both cats are seniors and need frequent wet food feedings as well as one is diabetic and needs oral medication at set times. They are very needy needing lots of attention and when we got home they seemed perky and happy. She took great care of them, communicated well, and left the home in a very clean shape even putting her bedding in washer before she left. We were very impressed.”

About: Hi there! My name is Nicole, and I'm a 38-year-old Etsy shop owner in Maple Ridge. I've had family dogs my entire life, ranging from 8-25 lbs. And my wife, Nikki, and I have been sharing full-time Dog Mom duties for over 5 years. In October 2025, we lost our good boy, Eddie, after a long decline during which I learned to comfortably administer insulin. Now, our sweet rescue girl, Moxy (age 9 or 10), has no fur friends to spend time with. While not required, I prefer to care for dogs who are comfortable with Moxy tagging along for walks and house-sits. She is a well behaved, house-trained, 9-year-old Maltese-Mini Schnauzer mix who is, as we like to say, "just happy to be there." She is good with most dogs, but becomes avoidant of dogs who get overly excited and rough. She plays very gently. I am available for dog walks, drop ins or day sits anytime after 9am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays and Thursdays are my focused work days, so I am only available after 5pm. I am also available for pet sitting any day of the week, as long as your pets are able to be left alone for up to 4 hours per day on weekdays. For new clients, I would like to schedule an in person meet-and-greet to ensure we are a good fit for each other. If you’re interested, please send a message with details about your pets and desired services. I'm happy to answer any questions :) Thanks!! WALKING + DROP INS + DAY SITS I am available for dog walks, drop ins or day sits anytime after 9am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays and Thursdays are my focused work days, so I am only available after 5pm. **I usually take an hour during Mon/Thurs to take our dog, Moxy, for a walk, so I have room for 1 more doggo to join us during those days. HOUSE-SITTING: I will treat your home with the utmost respect. I’m happy to water your plants and bring in the mail, and I will of course tidy up to ensure you can't even tell I was there. I can provide you with frequent updates, along with cute photos and videos so you can feel assured that your pets are well cared for. I work from home, meaning your pets will rarely be alone. They will get walks, belly rubs, potty breaks, and play time as desired. My work schedule is mostly flexible, allowing me to give your dog or cat plenty of attention and care throughout the day. My job requires about 15 hours per week of focused time spent at my home office. That work is usually done on Mondays and Thursdays, however, I can spread it out over the week to decrease the time that I'd need to be away from your pets if your trip falls on those days. You know your pet(s) best, so we can discuss the preferred way for me to accommodate them. Please let me know if you're comfortable with our well-behaved, house-trained, small dog Moxy visiting your house or joining for walks with your dog(s). She'd love the socialization. But if it's a no, that's okay. At this time, I'm not able to board pets at our home, but I'm happy to come spend time with your dogs in the comfort of their home.
“Riley was very responsive and communicative. She helped watch over our two dachshunds and made sure they didn’t jump off the couch to protect their backs. Appreciate the help!”

“Emerson house sat for us and was fantastic from start to finish! She communicates well and is very accommodating. Our dog Toby was so comfortable and relaxed with her. We came home to a clean house and a happy pup! We will definitely reach out to rebook for future trips. Thanks Emerson!”

“Kelsey is the best!! My pup was so well taken care of and Kelsey gave amazing check-ins everyday. I came home and Lilah didn’t want to see her go. Highly recommend! THANK YOU KELSEY!”

“Our dogs loved having Frank stay with them! We received updates regularly. Pretty sure Nori has spent the day looking for him!! Frank understood our dogs and accepted them with their quirks and all… eve n when Koji stole his bread! We will happily have Frank in our home again. He treated our house and gardens with care.”

“Cara has become part of our family. She loves our babies and keeps them safe and happy when we travel. Cara has a wonderful connection with animals and any pet parent wishing to travel without their precious babies, would be very lucky to hire her.”

About: Growing up, my family had 2 large dogs. I have always had a love for animals, big and small. At this stage in my life, I do not have any pets of my own. I am a loving aunty to my sister’s two dogs, Gus and Hopps; my dad’s dog, Ollie; my uncle’s dog, Moffat, and my sister-in-law’s cat named Ben. Not to mention, an honorary aunt to countless friends’ pets. I have had the pleasure of pet-sitting dogs and cats of all ages, including an adorable 15 year old Boston Terrier with various health issues requiring timed medication and a rescue dog that required daily physiotherapy exercises and massage for some muscle and joint pain he was experiencing. I work a full-time job Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. Depending on the situation, I can do a morning walk before work, an evening walk after work, and a later walk before bed. My partner is often happy to assist with a lunch-time walk as needed and based on the comfort of the owner. I am a quiet and respectful working professional who is committed to providing loving care to your beloved pets in the comfort and familiarity of their own home while you are away.
About: Pets like cats, rabbits, and other animals are welcome. I volunteered with Pads for six months and fostered shelter animals to help more pets find homes. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, and more. I respect pets' emotions and thoughts. Since childhood, I've enjoyed playing with my family's dog and cat and caring for them. Each pet has a unique personality. I love caring for pets and will give them all the love and attention they deserve. My goal is to keep your pet safe, happy, and comfortable. Pets can sense the energy around them, so it’s important for a caregiver to be positive. I love seeing pets happy and healthy, which makes this job fulfilling. 😊❤️ If you're booking for the first time, ask me for the promotion code. I’m free usually every day, 7 days a week😊. I have free time to give your dog company and exercise. I like to jog with the dog. Enjoy delicious food, fun playtime, exercise, soothing massages, cozy cuddles, and of course, important potty breaks and restful nap times! I hope your pet is happy and safe here!
“Katrina was fabulous! Took excellent care of our very anxious dog while we were able to enjoy an evening out. She sent lots of photos and worked hard to make him feel comfortable. 10/10 for sure!”

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since my grandma adopted a pregnant pitty and watched her raise 8 puppies! I’ve dog walked, boarded, cat sat, boarded on and off my whole adult life. I’ve also worked on a dairy farm and a hobby farm including sheep and chickens. I recently lost my fur baby in Dec, 2025, and have been missing animals in my life and home but am not ready to have another yet. Hoping to share my love and care with yours for now! I currently work part time, approx 9am to 2pm. I have two children, 6&9, who I then pick up from school and am home by 3. I take dogs in my care for a morning walk around 7am before school drop off and again in the afternoon(or evening depending on the weather). I currently have no pets, our friends in the basement suit have two cats, if your pet likes friends. If not, it’s easy to keep them separate in their own suit. I have a large yard that is not fully fenced so I take dogs out for bathroom breaks on leash or long tether.
“Viv was awesome! She did so much with our puppy Koka and Koka loved it. They played and went for a great walk. She made sure to give us updates about Koka during the walk. You can tell how much she loves dogs and how much they love her back.”

About: Hey 👋 I’m Angie, it’s nice to meet you! Glad you’ve found my rover here and I’m looking forward to connecting with you. I’m a dog owner myself, so I care deeply about what type of treatment my pup is getting when I hire a Rover. I look to give you the same reassurance I’ve found here - a Reliable sitter on a day you really need it, your furry friend taken care of by someone who genuinely loves dogs and is respectful of my home. I have experience handling dogs from 6lbs up to 70lbs! I love dogs of all sizes, each their own nature and personality and I honour that each pup is unique, but truly I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like ;) I grew up across the street from a giant German Sheppard who had the kindest heart, and shared space with Great Danes that hopped into my lap like tiny kittens. For what it’s worth, I’ve met a ton of bully mixes that have been nothing but gentle with me. I’ve had two jack russels and a Pom at one point so I’m very used to high energy dogs. Currently I have a sweet sleepy 12 year old jack-chi mix, so let me know if your pup is socialized and likes other dogs, then I’m happy to bring her along but she stays home with my partner mainly. My time at your place - I’m a creative graphic designer and I work from home, so I’ll be with your dog full-time when you book with me. I provide walks every couple hours and promise to send tons of adorable pictures and updates for you to admire while you’re away. I’ve always appreciated this from sitters I’ve hired myself from Rover. It would be helpful if you let me know as much information as possible about your pup(s). What time is feeding schedule and how often do you walk your pup at home? High or low level energy? Have they had regular pee and poo lately? Is it okay to provide beef liver, peanut butter or sweet potato snacks? Those are great details I would appreciate with your booking. Talk to you soon! I’m a creative designer who freelances and works from home so I will be staying at your place where your furry friend usually is to take care of them in their natural home base I’ve only had good experiences hiring Rover for my two dogs whom I love so trust safety and respecting the space is highest priority to me. I promise to do the same and contribute to the nice Rover community I’ve gotten to experience
About: I have lived with animals of all forms, cats, dogs, bunnies and rodents from a young age. I find them to be funny, calming and the best company. Since I can’t have a zoo I figured this would be the next best thing! Your pet would be treated as family under my care. I am open to distributing medications or special pet care instructions while also flexible to your needs. I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in safe and loving hands. I can’t wait to meet you and spend time with your furry friend 🐾 I work full time but would be available as of Friday evening and anytime availability on the weekends Saturday and Sunday including Mondays. On the last week of the month I am also available on Tuesdays. Happy to follow your every pet care instruction, your home is your safe place so it would be respected, kept in order and as you left it.
“We appreciated that Zara took the time to meet Gus and get to know his routines and personality at home before staying with him! You could tell right away that Zara was patient and kind. Gus and Zara became fast friends! Zara took great care of Gus and our home while we were away. We loved receiving pics of Gus playing and enjoying his time with Zara during our trip.”

Darlee was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! And would be so happy to have her watch our little Garfield again! Sh was able to meet all of his needs and more. It was our first time leaving him alone, and so we were quite nervous, but she made it very easy to relax while we were away and sending updates and photos the entire time!! very grateful to know that their is someone out there who cares so much about cats, and does such a great job at doing stuff

Kelsey did an excellent job of taking care of our animals (2 cats, 1 dog and 3 chickens) while house sitting! It is very important for us to find someone capable as we have a very needy Shepsky. She even cleaned up some accidents and did other extras. Lots of updates and photos from her. She is very positive and caring. We will definitely use her in the future!

Omg, Viktoriia was amazing!. Would for sure use her services again.

We had an excellent experience with Marianne and Danna and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring and reliable pet sitters. They took wonderful care of our dog, Luca, and our cats, Coco and Echo, while we were away. Luca can be sensitive when his routine changes, and Coco and Echo each have their own unique personalities, but Marianne and Danna were patient, attentive, and incredibly kind with all three of them. We especially appreciated the updates and communication throughout our trip. Knowing that our pets were receiving so much care and attention gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. When we returned home, Luca, Coco, and Echo were happy, healthy, and clearly well looked after. It was obvious that Marianne and Danna genuinely cared about our pets and treated them with love and respect. They also kept our house very neat and clean, just like we left it. Thank you both for taking such great care of our furry family. We are truly grateful and would happily trust you with Luca, Coco, and Echo again in the future!

We cannot say enough positive things about Megan. For our little family, the impact of introducing Megan to our reactive and fearful dog Maggie has been overwhelmingly positive. Megan was patient and understanding throughout the slow introductions, letting Maggie get to know her slowly and with trust. Leaving Maggie in someone else's hands for a week was made so much easier with Megan's confidence that everything would be ok and Maggie would be absolutely fine. And Megan was right. We wont hesitate to book Megan again for future needs, in fact, shes part of the family now.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Maple Ridge on Rover is $50.51 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 3,065 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Maple Ridge. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Maple Ridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Maple Ridge walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maple Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
