“I was a bit nervous leaving my dog for the first time with someone I didn't know. But, by the time I picked up Luna from the sitter, I wasn't sure she would want to come home with me. Jennifer made me feel so comfortable leaving her for the weekend and sent me pictures and updates. And their dog is now friends with mine. I would highly recommend using Jennifer and Steve.”

About: Hello! My name is Shadnay, and I’d love to experience this journey with you and your pup :) *NEW* CLIENT BOOKING GUIDELINES :) Daycare & boarding: Dogs must be around 30 pounds each to abide within strata by-laws! Rover doesn’t have these measurements for me to select prior to your search. There is some wiggle room on this considering height and hair volume, feel free to ask me about specifics! General booking guidelines: - if the pet profile questions haven’t been filled out, please send your booking request with a detailed message of what your pet(s) need - so we can figure out quicker if we are a good fit for the booking slot. About me: I have a clear understanding that every furry friend has their own uniqueness in temperament, triggers, and needs. My joy comes from learning them and providing the best care possible. I specialize in anxious & reactive dogs Including breeds and rescues who are still learning to navigate the world around them. My goal is to build their confidence in a safe and encouraging environment. All other temperaments are welcome, and loved just the same. Before finding Rover, I was successfully employed at various reputable Dog Daycare, and boarding facilities in Coquitlam and Port Moody where I started my training. From leading a pack of 80 dogs in an indoor and outdoor setting, to working with dogs who need individual attention. I’ve also worked with a private company based in Vancouver, demonstrating pack walks in off leash trails, and training under K-9 professionals during private walks with highly anxious/reactive dogs. A force free & positive reinforcement approach. A few weeks of customized care and attention will improve your dogs overall temperament and quality of life – feel free to reach out and discuss the specifics! I'm currently dedicated to taking care of dogs full-time, so they will get all my attention! My only other priorities during the week/weekend are my personal self-care appointments which allow me to show up fully for the pups, with my cup full! Each dog will have their own unique needs, and I spend a lot of time speaking with the parents to make sure those needs are met while they are away.
“The care that Nix provided for my one year old dog Roxy was top notch. She is knowledgeable about dogs and their nutrition, and also very passionate too. The communication between us was amazing - several updates and photos every day! Nix handled an unexpected overnight accident very well, and followed up with dog friendly food remedies to settle my dog’s stomach issues. When I came to pick up Roxy, she even had some homemade treats to send her home with! I would definitely book with her again.”

“Leslie was wonderful with our first time boarders. She was understanding of their anxiousness and individualized their care based on their needs. She gave them homemade treats and food which they LOVED! We will use Leslie again.”

“This was my first time leaving cola and bear over night with anyone other than family and I'm so glad I chose Priya and Josh. They were excellent and my dogs loved staying with them. Cola and Bear got to go for walks 4 times a day, treats, cuddles and got to meet other dogs and children. I had no doubts when leaving my two little dogs with them and I'm so glad I got a chance to. They will definitely be back next time we need a dog sitter. Thank you Priya and Josh ❤️”

“I was worried about finding a sitter for our slightly anxious 6 month young puppy Misa, just a few days before a long weekend trip. I messaged Ran and she suggested a meet-and-greet at a park, which I appreciated. While we were away, Ran sent regular updates and photos of Misa which was very reassuring since this is the first time we’ve left her for an extended amount of time. It was clear that Misa was being well taken care of and had fun going on walks and playing with the family and their small dog. I would highly recommend Ran to anyone looking for great comfort, care, and patience for their fur baby!”

“I was very pleased with our stay - Olga was very informative and kind with my newly rescued dog. When I came to pick up a few days later, my dog seemed happy and relaxed - Olga definitely played a huge part in easing the transition to a new home! Thank you! ?”

“Daisy and Paul are kind and friendly and took great care of my cats. They send beautiful photos and detailed updates. The cat room is big and has lots of fun cat trees and towers for cats to play on. Beautiful property and everything is very clean and neat. Thanks!”

“Our Louie was so well taken care of! You can just tell that he was loved while he was in her home, from the photo updates and at pickup/drop off. Would definitely use Sierra again!”

“Lana is always so kind, and it’s very clear that she loves dogs and takes care of them so well. I always get great video and photo updates and can tell that Zora is enjoying her stay!”

“Kris and her family took great care of our Romy and Tilly. Tilly has lots of medical/health needs and she came back refreshed and well fed. Romy is a sweet boy but was having some behavioral issues and they took care of all of it and offered some suggestions for us to help!”

“It was our first time leaving our dogs with anybody. Catherine kept us updated everyday with pictures and in for all the dogs. I would highly recommend Catherine. They gave us feedback on how the dogs behaved. I would like to apologize if the barking was to much! I would definitely use Cathrine and Greg again. Thank you again for taking awesome care of our pups.”

“Here’s the translation: It was Chai’s first time staying away from home, and we treated it as a trial run for a longer stay. Minerva was very open and kind about all our worries and questions, and she made sure to take care of Chai in every detail, always sending us updates and little news. Now Chai will be staying with her for 15 days, and we’re certain she’ll be extremely well cared for, with lots of love and attention.”

“Natasha was lovely to deal with. Very good communicator, lots of pictures & updates. Our dog Peli was very welcomed & cared for. Highly recommend Natasha. Would definitely ask her to care for Peli again.”

“Sheena took great care of our energetic pyrador while we went away for a week. Our Nala had a vacation of her own. Lots of exercise and she made a ton of new friends!!!! Thank you Sheena :)”

“Melanie was awesome with Clem! She got lots of exercise and was very communicative. We got lots of pictures (and even some holiday themed ones!). We will definitely book with Melanie again!”

“Twinkle came to our rescue at very short notice. We needed their help to look after our pooch (who has stayed with them before and loves the company of Twinkle’s own fur babies) for a week when an overseas family emergency popped up. Khepri is always happy and comfortable at Twinkle’s, who clearly loves his company too. We are grateful to have found someone to leave him with and be worry free.”

“Exceptional care for our fur baby! We left our dog, Charlie, with Oriana and her husban Jean for 10 days, and we could not have asked for a better experience. Leaving a pet for the first time and for that long can be stressful, but we were completely at ease thanks to the frequent updates and obvious love Charlie received. He had an absolute blast and was treated like family. It was so comforting to see and gave us peace of mind that our Charlie looking so happy and relaxed while we were away. We will definitely be booking again—Charlie already misses his home away from home! Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our boy!”

Excellent experience! Andrea was extremely caring, attentive, and loving with my French Bulldog. I received updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing he was being so well cared for. I would definitely leave Billy with her again. Thank you so much for all the love and care you gave him! 🐶❤️

Marianne and her wife were SO helpful and accommodating. They truly went above and beyond in their care of our dog. Marianne was so communicative with us about how our dog was doing and our dog came back so tired and happy. I could tell he didn't want to leave their place! I will definitely book with Marianne again in the future.

What an amazing experience boarding Freya with Darlee. Communication was great, she sent updates with photos, and met me at a neutral area for Freya to meet her, as my dog has a lot of anxiety. With that, freya has a hard time warming up to people, and is usually stuck to me like glue. She warmed up to Darlee super quick, and at drop off, she even came said hi to me then went back to Darlee for some goodbyes and a last belly rub. This was a tremendous good sign. Thank you Darlee. I recommend her 10/10 I will book again for sure.

Daria is simply amazing; I was sent the most mind blowing picture of my little Raven, she is sooo happy, I have never seen her so happy and smiling. I love the picture and will be framing this one. When I picked up Raven, I don's think she even acknowledged me, she just kept trying to climb over Daria. Well played Daria, Well Played <3.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
