“Ying-Shuang and her wonderful family took such a good care of our Bobo ❤️ We’re so happy and glad that he stayed with them! During the whole 9 days of Bobo’s stay, they sent us pictures and videos, and always stayed in touch with us ☺️ Definitely made us feel reassured while we were away on vacation! They walked him all the time, played with him, and treated him as if he were part of their family already! Would definitely recommend booking with them because we know we would do it again! 😉 We couldn’t be more happier. Thank you again Ying-Shuang! ❤️🙏🏼”

“Gloria was super friendly with both me and Milo. She was very professional and arranged a virtual meet-and-greet beforehand to go over Milo’s specific care needs. She also created a very thorough care document for him, which I really appreciated. During the stay, Gloria sent lots of videos and photos to keep me updated and to show that Milo was having a great time. Milo came home and slept for 2 days😅 he had so much fun with the other dogs! I would definitely recommend her and would happily book with her again whenever Milo needs daycare or overnight care.”

“Priya was amazing, she asked us about Bella prior to the stay and let Bella get familiarised. She kept us updated during her stay, so we didn’t need to worry at all. We will keep going with Priya as long as she is available!”

About: I have loved dogs and animals my entire life. I was fortunate to finally get a dog when I was 10 years old however she has recently passed. I still miss the joy and excitement they bring into our lives so I decided to keep sitting. Your pet will be in the most loving hands. Please send me a message if you have any questions about my services. I am also open to looking after all animals. I share responsibilities with my partner who works overnight. My schedule is during the day and it can be fairly flexible so there is someone looking after your furry friend literally 24/7. We are a fairly active couple and enjoy going out for walks and hikes or staying home on the couch and watching a movie. Both being enhance with a pet companion by our sides. For house sitting we try to be as respectful as possible with your space. We like to leave it in the same condition we found it or better. For boarding we have dog proofed our home and have a few dog supplies in case you forget yours. We live in a spacious home that is perfect for running around and playing.
“Luna was reunited with his “other” family. Jennifer and her family have welcomed our fur baby into their home for the second time. We were always sent pictures of Luna to let us know how she was doing. She is always happy when she is there. Thanks for loving Luna when we have to leave her.❤️”

“Leaving our dog with Duane and Michelle was the best experience. Casper can be timid but they were attentive, caring and clearly love animals. The kids were grateful for the regular photos and videos because we could see that Casper was happy! It was a relief knowing he was in good hands. We would totally contact them again when we go away.”

About: I’m new to Rover (July 2026) but not new to animal care. From hedgehogs to horses, veterinary clinics to forestry camps, I’ve loved and provided various levels of care for my own and the animals of others for over 25 years. I approach difficult interactions with clear communication, endless patience, and deep compassion, whether it’s an overenthusiastic puppy, an anxious but lovable giant, or a client who needs extra help while they’re juggling the demands of a busy life. I know that finding pet care that balances cost and convenience isn’t easy, and it’s incredibly difficult to trust someone else to give your dog the same level of care and attention that you do. Nobody can do it as well as you, but I like to think I’m a pretty good stand-in when needed. Before accepting bookings, I always book a meet and greet in the location the care will take place to make sure that everyone feels confident in the fit. I have a flexible schedule, don’t overcommit, and respect people’s time and their dog’s individual needs. I work from home and plan errands/outings accordingly, so your dog will not be left alone when in my care unless previously discussed with you. *Service area for walking/drop ins limited to the general neighbourhoods of Suter Brook, Newport, and Klahanie. *Daycare that lasts more than 8 hours or extends into the evening *may* be charged at a higher rate (to be discussed). *Bookings for walks and drop in visits are generally limited to the hours of 9am-7pm. While small, our apartment is as dog friendly as you could hope for. Surrounded by trails starting at our back door and a dog bakery downstairs, we never run out of places to explore or shady forest areas to relax in. Safety-first for us means baby gates that close off unsupervised areas and options for individual calm spaces. I’m available for daycare, home visits, walks, feeding, play, and companionship throughout the week. Overnight boarding is an option open to repeat daycare clients once we’ve determined the dog is comfortable in the environment. I try to maintain as much continuity as possible when caring for your pets, following routines and rules as closely as possible in order to reduce confusion and disruption to their lives. If you don’t let them up on the couch, neither will I. If they sleep on your bed, they can sleep on mine—as long as they don’t snore too loudly. *for daycare and boarding, my partner helps out with extra walks or supervision when needed and accompanies me to drop in visits with new clients.
“Stanley had an amazing time with Carson and Bentley! Stanley loves spending time there and is always so happy to be there! Carson is amazing at sending pictures and videos and the communication is always perfect. Stanley is excited to go back and play with Bentley!”

“Hyoungjin hosted Chloe for 24 days. During all her stay they take care of my lovely Chloe, they keep me posted of everything related Chloe. I noticed she was happy one of my main concerns each time I have to leave Chloe. I totally refer them and for sure I will leave Chloe with them again.”

“Angela and her family were wonderful taking care of Manolo. He was clearly well looked after and comfortable during his stay. Communication was great, and we felt very confident leaving him with them. We would absolutely consider Angela and her family again for any future needs and highly recommend them. Thank you Angela, you guys are great! :)”

“We left our little kitten with Zhaofen for about 12 days. She sent us daily updates, including photos and messages about our cat’s condition and how she was adjusting to the new environment. Fortunately, since her home is spacious and she also has a lovely cat named Kevin, it seemed like our cat had a great time during those 12 days. Zhaofen also returned all the leftover supplies we had provided, including dry and wet food and even the remaining cat litter. Compared to other sitters, her price was also more reasonable and economical. Thank you, Xiaofen.”

“I left Winnie with Rikhil and Shachi for 10 days when I went to London, which is the longest I’ve left my dog with someone. I was worried she would be upset or sulk, but she had such a great time that I don’t think she missed me at all! I got a lot of photos and updates while I was gone, which made me feel reassured that she was happy and enjoying her stay.”

“Tina went above and beyond caring for my dog while we were away for the weekend. She made my dog feel so comfortable, safe, and engaged that I never had to worry while on vacation. It gave me such peace of mind knowing my dog was in such caring and capable hands. I can't recommend Tina enough and will absolutely book with her again!”

“Viktoryia was wonderful and very patient with our 5 month old puppy. She was so caring with her and treated her like family, checked in with us regularly and sent us great photos and videos. She communicated with us very well. Her cute dog, Mika played beautifully with our Ellie and was great company for her. I would definitely contact Viktoryia again if we need cover for our puppy again. Thanks, Viktoryia.”

“Margarita and her family are warm, friendly, and clearly love dogs! My senior dog was excited to meet them and seemed to really like them. Lolly was well cared for and we were given updates and photos. Thanks for making my first rover experience a positive one!”

“Ranah and Franki were great sitters for my guy Fozzie. It was reassuring to know that he was in great hands while I was away. Thank you both so much for making sure he had his meds when he needed them, and letting him hang out with your awesome dog. I will definitely have Fozzie stay with you again.”

“We were so happy with Sheryl's care of Lulu. She was obviously very attentive, and Lulu had plenty of walks, socializing and cuddles! We were afraid Lulu would prefer Sheryl to us! We also appreciated updates on their time together and photos. Would definitely rebook :)”

“I left my boy with Dijia and toro for couple of nights. He was boarding with them first time, and he seems to have enjoyed his stay. Dijia updated me periodically with pictures and videos of my boy playing and enjoying his stay. I'm sure he is looking forward to his next visit with Dijia.”

Unfortunately, through no fault of the sitter, our cat stopped eating much while he was there (Anxiety? Who knows?). We were informed right away that his eating behaviour changed. I appreciated the vigilance and communication. Excellent care for our cat! We will use again.

Great in every way. Our little Jack had so much fun. He had a bit of a weird thing in his stomach but Angela took such good care of him. Even brought to the vet without hesitation. Her kids played tons with Jack. Gave her baths. Cannot recommend her enough! And the house is lovely and big. Definitely dogs have fun here. Thanks again Angela and family!

Thank you Colette making Daisy’s visit with you such a pleasure for both us and her! It was wonderful to receive pictures where you could tell that Daisy was genuinely happy to be with you. Perhaps it was the numerous lengthy walks or the cuddles as she appeared content, which is all a family wants for their beloved pet. Thank you for everything!

Amit was so wonderful with Buddy She was flexible and let me drop him off early so I could make my travel plans. She sent me pictures and updates of Buddy each day so I could be reassured that he was doing ok (he was having a great time 😁). She treated him like her own dog 🥰 I would recommend Amit to anyone looking for a great dog sitter 🙌

Misook is s really good dog-sitter. She and her family were very attentive to my dog (which is a pretty active Jack Rassel). They followed all my tasks regarding dog-care, and even more. They walked with the dog 2 times, as well as long games with toys in their fenced garden. I am really glaf6 to find such as dog-sitter and would recommend her.

Piper came back from a week with Paige happy and calm. I enjoyed receiving daily updates and pictures and when there was a concern I appreciated that Paige asked for my recommendation and then followed up with the result of that action. I would definitely book Piper with Paige again!

Olive had such a great experience with Barb! Olive was very well cared for, happy, and clearly comfortable during her stay. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. Communication was great, and I really appreciated the updates. You can tell she genuinely cares about dogs and their wellbeing. I would definitely trust her with Olive again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Stephanie is an amazing dog sitter! She’s kind, considerate, and joyful, and her family is just as wonderful—helpful, fun, and great with dogs. Her home is clean, welcoming, and close to trails, which was perfect for walks. She sent lots of updates with photos and videos, which gave me total peace of mind. My two Frenchies got great walks, tons of playtime, and zero stress. Her laid-back Frenchie, Chewy, got along perfectly with Callaway and Titleist — a total fur-friend win! I came home to happy pups and couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend! 🐶✨

Our dog Mabel loved staying with Amitis! Mabel is fairly high-energy and can be reactive on leash, so she's not the easiest dog to look after, but Amitis took that in her stride. We had the opportunity to meet Amitis a couple of times before the booking, which definitely helped Mabel settle in quickly. She sent us lots of updates, and we could tell our dog was relaxed and happy staying with her. We'll definitely use her again!

Within very short notice after previous sitter suddenly became not available, Tyler offered for taking care of our Ellie, which was really appreciated. However, since we've never met / talked him, and we didn't know him, although we liked to trust Rover's choice, we were still unsure how Ellie was doing with him and new environment. So that more frequent report with pictures/video could be nicer.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
