Availability
I work from home two days a week (usually Mondays and Fridays) and used to take my own dog on long hikes or camping on weekends. My late pup was extremely high energy and got exercised three times a day. I have a fully fenced in, large backyard and often leave my apartment door open so dogs can roam in and out even when I’m working. There is a large park out back (perfect for fetch) and the nearby mountain is full of trails perfect for on and Off-Leash doggy adventures.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard shared with at least one other dog to keep yours company. My landlords live above me and usually have at least one foster pup and a cat as well so there are lots of friends around. I am very attentive to the needs of all the fur babies and often work with my door open so dogs can roam freely in and out of my apartment. There is a big park out back of my place for the dogs to get a good run and a mountain with extensive trail system a couple blocks away for longer walks and hikes.

Information Briar H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any medication or conditions I should be aware of. My dog used to take medication every 12 hours so I know how to keep to a regular routine and can easily fit another dog’s meds into it.
A typical day
If your dog is up to it we will go trail running and if they prefer we will go for walks around the park out back. I used to do obedience training with my dog in the evenings for extra mental stimulation so I may even teach your pup some new tricks!

Pet care experience
I fostered and trained a guide-dog puppy when I was 13 years old and adopted my own Aussie/Collie rescue who I adored for the 2.5 years I had him until he passed in 2025. I know how to handle canine epilepsy, giving various medications on an hourly basis, along with behavioural challenges common in rescues. My sweet pup was very high energy and driven so I know how to handle strong, energetic dogs and love to take them on long hikes or runs.
Reviews

Good communication, updates throughout the day. Everything was great!

Briar was a great pet sitter. She was accommodating to our schedule and kept us updated daily. Sky’s always looking to go back now!

We want to thank Briar for looking after our active puppy for a long weekend! It was a grand success and we are very grateful!

Briar has been great. Indie comes home sleepy with all the attention, and is sad to drive away. Briar updates me while away and lets me know how she was as a hand off when I pick her up. Seniors can be easy and challenging in the same breath and Briar has been more than up for the task.
