“Jo-Ann and Lance took such great care of our pup Otis and sent us plenty of pictures and updates, which was greatly appreciated! Otis looked to be having the time of his life getting so much attention and belly rubs🥰 will definitely be booking again!😊”

“They took great care of Oscar! They sent lots of pictures and videos, and Oscar seemed very happy and comfortable. Oscar also got along very well with their dog Mina. I will definitely book again! Thank you :)”

“Megan was one of the nicest and most caring Sitter for our doggy Mario. Mario was so happy to be with Megan and had an amazing time. I highly recommend Megan and will definitely seek her out again in the future. Thanks for everything.”

“Lisa & Lonny took care of our pup for a couple of weeks while we were away on holidays. We felt so comfortable knowing Louie was in such good hands. He clearly adores them! They were very responsive and shared great photos, which we really appreciated. We’d happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Ana Paula was absolutely incredible with my dog, Duke. She sent thoughtful photo and message updates that gave me total peace of mind knowing he was in the best hands. Duke and her dog Molly became quick friends, which made his stay even more special. I couldn’t recommend Ana Paula more, she’s so lovely, and I feel lucky we found her (and Molly!).”

“Nicole was so wonderful and easy to work with from booking throughout our dog’s four-night stay! She went above and beyond to understand our dog’s needs and quirks and give him great care. He benefitted from her experience and kindness and was a happy lil’ guy when we picked him up! We appreciated the photos and videos too. :)”

“We could not have asked for a better sitter for our boy Newton! We really appreciated all the updates and silly stories! It kept our mind at ease, while we were away from our fur baby. Thank you so much Britt, Newton can’t wait to see you again!”

“Zaid was very caring and provided regular updates. Our cats are usually a little scared the first time with someone new and he was very patient while they came out of their shell. Highly recommend.”

“Such a great experience with Brody 🤍 He’s an older dog and definitely needs a bit more attention/care than most dogs, and she was so understanding and accommodating with him. I got photo updates and she stayed in contact the entire time - you can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches! Would definitely book again!”

“Andrew was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. His professionalism up front really inspired trust, and once we made a solid connection at the meet and greet, I knew Luna was going to be in good hands. She absolutely was treated like gold. The communication was reliable and flexible. All the photos he shared showed a very happy dog! I would 100% choose to board Luna with Andrew and his lovely partner again any time.”

“Ursula was a great sitter! She was quick with communication and follow through. She was friendly and my pup took to her immediately. The couple of photos she sent to me while I was away were reassuring. Tnx Ursula :^)”

“Lisa was all and everything we could ask for! Her care and treatment of Rosie was exceptional and put us totally at ease that we had found the perfect sitter for Rosie. Our only concern was that Rosie would prefer to stay with Lisa and her wonderful dog Elsa, rather than coming back home. We highly recommend Lisa but we would rather keep her a secret.”

“My dog has made her fur ever best friend, little Debu! Bella has had another pleasant visit with Franki, Ranah and Debu. When she has eaten all her food i know she is happy. Thank you again see you all soon! hugs 🥰”

“Laura's the best! I hurt my knee and couldn't walk. She was able to accommodate Casper in such short notice and has been a great help while I'm recuperating. I'm at ease knowing Casper is in good hands.”

About: Hi, I’m Robin! Lover of all animals and will treat your dog like a member of our family! I had cats and fish growing up and then moved on to dogs! I have 10 years of hands‑on experience raising my Boston Terrier from birth and caring for her through every stage of life, including her final battle with cancer. She taught me to be patient, playful, attentive, and deeply affectionate with every dog I meet. I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of my friends and family’s dogs, and know how hard it can be to be away from your little fur babies but also at the same time be able to enjoy some alone time. As a homemaker, I’m home all day, and ready to step in and be a welcoming, affectionate and safe provider when you’re away! Your dog will get ample time to play, walk or hike ( depending on your dogs abilities) relax, snooze, and of course, eat! We have a fenced in back yard, where they’ll be able to do their “business” whenever they need and a few parks within walking distance for some leisure time. I also have experience administering oral and eye medication. Being a homemaker, mom to a 19 yr old, and having no more of our own pets, your dog will be getting plenty of time, love & attention, and supervision throughout the day. My husband works from home and loves spending time with dogs too, so your pup will always have company. I live in a townhouse where your dog will never be far from my sight, not that many places to go lol. I live in a quiet neighborhood, where our backyard is fenced and not easily accessible to public. We have carpeted stairs making it easier to get up and down and a large carpet in the living room for them to roll around and scratch their backs!
“Sidney was amazing. Oslo took to her from the moment they met. She was very accommodating. I was delayed on my return from Kelowna and while I was stressing about it she kept reassuring me that it was fine. When I picked Oslo up, not only did I return to a happy boy, but he seemed to have charmed the entire family as I met Sidney's family who were clearly spoiling him with love. I recommend Sidney to anyone that is looking for kind and thoughtful caregiver to your fur baby.”

“Jeffrey was really gentle and thoughtful with our dog, Owen, and our pup seemed completely at ease with him. Jeffrey was responsive and reliable with his communication, and made us feel reassured about Owen’s well-being through regular updates with Owen’s photos. We would definitely book with him again. Highly recommend :)”

“Thank you, Emily! We can tell from all the pictures that Bingley had a wonderful time. He's getting to be an old man, so we really appreciate the care you put into considering things like his special vet diet and his arthritis. He came home looking as happy and relaxed as we did after our vacation. Whenever we go on vacation, we'll be reaching out to you again.”

Tosha is an absolutely wonderful person and an exceptional dog sitter. She is kind, caring, resourceful, and incredibly responsible. From the moment our dog stayed with her, it was clear that she genuinely cared about his happiness and well-being. She took him on regular walks, even drove to Lynn Valley to take him on beautiful hikes, and when she had a concern about his health, she contacted us immediately. Knowing that he was in such attentive and capable hands gave us complete peace of mind. Tosha is, without question, our go-to dog sitter. We wouldn't trust anyone else to care for our dog. Thank you so much, Tosha and Sid, for taking such amazing care of Endy Finch—you truly are the best!

Another happy “vacation” for our cat with Zhen 😊 It’s always such a relief knowing she’s in caring hands. We really appreciate all the photo and video updates, it’s so nice to see our kitty relaxed and comfortable. Also a big thank you for being so flexible when our plans changed and we had to pick up our cat earlier. Really grateful we found Zhen!

Sherry took care of our high energy dog for a week while we were out of country. We worried because the dog stopped eating for 3 days despite lots of attention and care, but Sherry found a way to bring everything to normal. Halo had a lot of fun playtime with Sherry's daughter, lots of cuddling and catching up ball. When I came to pick up our doggy, Halo jumped in my car, gave me lots of kisses, then jumped back to Sherry to kiss her and returned to the car ! So, no doubt Sherry earned A+++++ review! We'll be happy to book boarding for Halo again with Sherry when we need to travel. Thank you very much, Sherry and Rojan!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
