About: I’ve been helping my friends’ dogs for past few years. From small to medium sized dogs, I always find ways to have a fun time and take care of them. I have a very flexible schedule that can accommodate to your pet needs! Day or night, weekday or weekend, I can be there to help. I have a car so I can get to where I need to be quickly. I always check for hazards to ensure your pet is safe from endangering itself. I look for possible entries and exits to know where your pet can run off to or hide, ensuring I can keep track of possible scenarios.

About: I have worked with dogs my whole life. I have dog sat and am comfortable with dogs of all ages sizes, abilities, and temperaments! I’ve handled pet emergencies with calm and purpose. I am totally comfortable with multiple dogs at a time. I also can adapt to any special routine or diet. I had my own dog for 13 years and was often her primary caretaker through thick and thin! I am willing to fit whatever routine you need me to in to my schedule! I would prefer one that works around a 9-5 work schedule, but am totally willing to adapt. I can feed pets, and adjust to any specific diet. I can do long or short walks. I love playing with pets and giving them whatever attention they need. I am also willing to adapt to any training you need set in place. For cats, I am totally willing to clean litter boxes!

Atika sent the best pictures of our two kitties while we were gone. We loved the daily updates. She is a great communicator and was awesome about coordinating the key pick up and drop off. We will definitely book with her again.

About: I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. I got my first dog, a Yorkie Terrier, when I was 15, and I cared for him like he was my own child. He taught me so much about responsibility, patience, and unconditional love. Now I have a 4-month-old Westie Terrier, and I give him the same love and attention every day. I know how important it is to make pets feel safe, happy, and loved — just like family. That’s exactly how I’ll care for yours too. 🐾 I work from home as a freelance web developer, so my schedule is very flexible. I spend most of my time at home, which means I have plenty of time to play with the dogs, take them for walks, and give them all the attention they need. Pets are never left alone for long — they’re part of my daily routine. I have a sweet dog at home who will be a great companion for your pup,, they’ll never feel lonely! My apartment has a secure, fenced patio where dogs can play safely and enjoy the outdoors. I also live in a very pet-friendly area with lots of green spaces and safe walking paths, perfect for daily walks and playtime. Your dog will feel right at home here, cared for and loved as part of the family.

About: Hi there, my dog and best friend, Murphy, passed away in January, and I'm missing furry companionship and providing care. While I'm not ready for another dog of my own, I'd love to share my time and pet care skills temporarily, giving your dog a loving experience while you are away. I am experienced with all types of dogs and situations, and am able to take care of your furry family member in the way that best meets their needs. I understand separation anxiety, etc, and how difficult it can be to go away without them. I have a flexible schedule and, with enough notice, can plan to be with your dog 24/7 while you are away, so that they have constant companionship, exercise, and care. If my calendar doesn't quite have what you need dates-wise, just send me a message and I can often accommodate a bit before or after. With a pre-meet, I can learn what type of environment, activity, and care is best suited so that your dog's experience meets their needs and your expectations. Your peace of mind is my goal! I do ask for you to fill out a form about your pet's needs/personality prior to taking care of your beloved and at least 1 (ideally 2) meet and greets, so I can understand them better and ensure I'm a good match for their care:)

Nora took excellent care of my cat theo while I was away, making sure to give him lots of cuddles and attention. She sent detailed photos and notes about her time with him which I appreciated. Theo was so happy and fluffy when I returned. Would choose her to watch him anytime I am away from home. You can tell she really loves cats. ❤️😻

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 4,431 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in West Vancouver. About 85% of West Vancouver sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a West Vancouver stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Vancouver choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
