About: I’m a West Vancouver dog enthusiast with Pet First Aid certification and hands-on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. While I do not have formal professional dog-walking experience, I have spent years helping care for dogs belonging to family and friends, including energetic dogs, senior dogs, small companion dogs, cautious dogs, and strong protective breeds. I have cared for dogs during family events, vacations, camping trips, walks, and everyday visits. My experience includes taking dogs for multiple walks a day, feeding homemade meals, offering companionship, giving plenty of attention and belly rubs, and helping dogs feel safe and comfortable while their families are busy or away. I’m patient, observant, reliable, and genuinely love spending time with dogs. I understand that every dog has their own routine, comfort level, and personality, and I always aim to provide care that feels calm, affectionate, and trustworthy. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I currently have a flexible schedule while completing my online interior design studies. I’m based in West Vancouver, so I’m able to offer consistent local support for walks, check-ins, companionship, and care throughout the week. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, so walks and visits feel less like an obligation and more like something I look forward to. I’m able to plan my day around a dog’s needs, whether that means regular walks, feeding routines, playtime, quiet companionship, or making sure they feel comfortable while their family is away. When caring for pets in their home, I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications or special routines if needed, and any house rules. I take time to make sure the pet feels safe, calm, and cared for, whether that means playtime, companionship, belly rubs, or simply keeping them company. I’m respectful of the home, keep things clean and secure, and make sure pets are never rushed or overwhelmed. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care while keeping their routine as normal and comforting as possible.
About: I’ve been helping my friends’ dogs for past few years. From small to medium sized dogs, I always find ways to have a fun time and take care of them. I have a very flexible schedule that can accommodate to your pet needs! Day or night, weekday or weekend, I can be there to help. I have a car so I can get to where I need to be quickly. I always check for hazards to ensure your pet is safe from endangering itself. I look for possible entries and exits to know where your pet can run off to or hide, ensuring I can keep track of possible scenarios.
“Iman was great with communication and being available last minute to care for our cat, Gus. We received regular updates which gave us peace of mind, would definitely recommend!”

About: Serving downtown Vancouver, Kitsilano area. Willing to commute as I do drive also. 🙏🏽 I’ve recently reactivated my account from 2019 while I was living in Kelowna. I currently am back to school studying for my nursing degree and want to lean back into what I love 🐾 🤍🙏🏼 I understand the amount of time it takes with animals and that’s why I am wanting to be in service to our community while I don’t have time to look after them full time while in school. I treat your fur babies as if they were my own. I have had experience with many breeds. Mostly Shepard’s since I was a child. I am very passionate and love all moments with animals. Let’s connect. I’m flexible and available :) My most recent experience have been dog sitting in people’s homes. I am aware of their needs and am able to adapt to instructions you have for your pets. I enjoy taking them out and will do safely. I am experienced with training and raising dogs since I was young. I work as a nurse in the community and overall my passion lies to be of service for people and Animals. If references are needed I would be happy to provide. Let’s connect :) I am currently off from school until I go back in September part time. My plan is to not have many clients but instead few consistent clients that I can be reliable and help w your fur animals. I’m willing to continue to be available as you would need and if it works out with your pets and your specific routine. I would follow the guidance and instructions you would have set for each animal, communicate as needed. I would ask questions if I was unsure or required clarity.
About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life as part of my family. I had my last best friend for 15 wonderful years and sadly had to say goodbye 2 years ago. I am not in a position to care for another dog full time at the moment so am looking to share my love of pets on a temporary basis and help other pet parents. I work permanent over night shifts and am up and about in the afternoons. I am quite active going for walks, runs and bike rides during this free time. I usually have 3 day weekends which could be spent with pets as well. I would care for anyone’s pet as if they were my own. With love and care and always with respect. Pets are part of a family.
About: I have worked with dogs my whole life. I have dog sat and am comfortable with dogs of all ages sizes, abilities, and temperaments! I’ve handled pet emergencies with calm and purpose. I am totally comfortable with multiple dogs at a time. I also can adapt to any special routine or diet. I had my own dog for 13 years and was often her primary caretaker through thick and thin! I am willing to fit whatever routine you need me to in to my schedule! I would prefer one that works around a 9-5 work schedule, but am totally willing to adapt. I can feed pets, and adjust to any specific diet. I can do long or short walks. I love playing with pets and giving them whatever attention they need. I am also willing to adapt to any training you need set in place. For cats, I am totally willing to clean litter boxes!
About: I've been caring for dogs my whole life. When my family adopted a grey wolf / German shepherd mix, she became my guardian and best friend (see second photo). I love larger breeds (although teensy lil scaredy dogs are a speciality of mine, too!). I'm the perfect mix of loving and clear, dogs know who's boss. 😎 I am a graphic designer and dance instructor. I work from home most days, sometimes in the evenings and occasionally travel for larger events. My schedule is a bit all over the place, but I'm generally home M-F 9-5. I live in a medium sized apartment with no other pets. We have a large, unfenced yard, and live one block from a dog park. There is room for a crate, but it's my preference to have dogs free roam around with me.
About: Hi there! I’m Cindy — a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet sitter who believes every dog (and cat!) deserves to feel safe, loved, and understood while their humans are away. I’ve cared for pets of all ages and personalities — from high-energy puppies who love adventure to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and gentle care.I bring a calm, grounded presence (helped by my background as a yoga and mindfulness teacher!) that animals naturally respond to. I’m especially attuned to anxious or sensitive pets and take the time to build trust and connection so they feel safe and relaxed. I bring a calm, grounded presence (helped by my background as a yoga and mindfulness teacher!) that animals naturally respond to. I always double-check doors, gates, and leashes for safety, and I keep a close eye on how your pet is feeling, both physically and emotionally.
About: I’ve lived with cats and dogs my whole life, and in recent years have done extensive pet sitting and fostering. Most of my sitting experience was through Trusted Housesitters, and I can provide reviews/references. I’ve cared for dogs from the tiniest Pomeranian, to a Golden Labrador that could pass for a small horse. I also have experience with anxious and reactive dogs. I have also cared for cats with a huge range of dietary and medical needs, including super anxious cats, and cats who have not had previous human contact. I am patient, caring, and a genuine animal lover. I have provided screenshots of previous pet sitting reviews in my photos! I currently work in hospitality, so my schedule can be a bit random, but also flexible. I often work evenings so can usually be available for day time care. I’m also studying for a Masters remotely, so I tend to spend a lot of time studying from home, which gives me lots of time to keep your animals company! I will mostly be offering housesitting and day-time pet care, however I may be able to arrange pet-care in my own home on a case by case basis!

About: I am happy when I am surrounded by animals and nature. I feel like I can truly connect with animals, especially with cats. I love dogs very much as well. In the past, I had two cats on my own and took care of my roomate‘s & friend‘s 2 dogs for over 2 years. I cared for them like they were my own. I don’t have a job at the moment, so I am quite flexible for pet & housesitting as long as it is not too far away from my home. I will care for the pets like they were my own. I will follow the instructions and respect the needs of the client. I will do my best to give the pet its best time and all the love while their parents are away, so that they don’t miss them too much.
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and pets of all kinds my whole life, and more recently gained hands-on experience navigating senior care for my own dog, which required extra patience and regular medication. Since then, I’ve cared for a variety of dogs—from very small to very large, with all kinds of energy levels—and have come to love each one along the way. I’d love the opportunity to care for and spend time with new pets. I currently have the flexibility to accommodate a variety of schedules and can work any day of the week. I am happy to work my time around to best suit your needs. I care for pets in their home by respecting their routines, following instructions closely, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. I will prioritise your pets comfort and ensure your home is treated with care and respect.
“Feena was such a wonderful sitter, so kind, caring, and attentive! She even took my pup for a walk during the check-in, which was so thoughtful. I’ll absolutely be booking with her again!”

We love to hike, so if your dog stays with me they will get plenty of exercise! I am a teacher who is off for the summer so I have lots of time to spend with your pets. I am still happy to dogsit during the work week! I live in an apartment close to the dog beach, the seawall, and many parks. I am also available for drop in walks and care.

While I'm not ready for another dog of my own, I'd love to share my time and pet care skills temporarily, giving your dog a loving experience while you are away. I am experienced with all types of dogs and situations, and am able to take care of your furry family member in the way that best meets their needs. I understand separation anxiety, etc, and how difficult it can be to go away without them. I have a flexible schedule and, with enough notice, can plan to be with your dog 24/7 while you are away, so that they have constant companionship, exercise, and care. If my calendar doesn't quite have what you need dates-wise, just send me a message and I can often accommodate a bit before or after. I do ask for you to fill out a form about your pet's needs/personality prior to taking care of your beloved and at least 1 (ideally 2) meet and greets, so I can understand them better and ensure I'm a good match for their care:)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
There are 4,066 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Lions Bay. About 85% of Lions Bay sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Lions Bay stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lions Bay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
