About: I've been pet sitting for the last 7 years and have experience sitting dogs and cats, but open to taking care of other furry friends! I work fully remote, so I have the flexibility to be available and present anytime! When I am pet sitting, I prioritize the needs of the pet and work around their schedule. I love walking and enjoy getting outside throughout the day, so daily walks is a must for me. When it comes to being a guest in someone's home, I take this responsibility very seriously. I am extremely conscientious and responsible, and will always inform the homeowner should I have any concerns or questions. That said, I've never had any concerning incidents or issues during my years of house/pet sitting.
About: (Hi! You can call me Kelly if my legal name is a bit hard to read ;D) Hello! I am a Burnaby resident who is looking for cat-care, dog walks, and any pet boarding! I grew up with a pet cat at home and I am very experienced in taking care of pets (always helping my friends with their cats/dogs), the longest pet sitting I have ever had was with a cat for two months. My schedule is flexible, please don't hesitate to let me know when you are in need! I am currently working part time Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday and at home all day on the other days. I’m very flexible on my schedule and time for pet care. I live in a basement with one roommate and the house has a big backyard. Cats are totally acceptable but I cannot host any dog inside, I’ll play with the dog in the backyard or in the nearest dog park. I am also happy to be boarded at the client's home.
“Tanya always showed up on the time and took care of my 3 kitties with expert care. I appreciated all the photos she took of them and posted so I know they are doing well. She also arranged to come by before her visit to get to know their routine and pick up the keys. Thanks Tanya!”

“Angela did an excellent job caring for our kitties while we were away. She supplied great photos; we could tell that our cats were having a lot of fun playing with her. Sometimes when we return from trips they are grumpy because we have been away. That was not the case this time! They clearly felt very comfortable in her care. That definitely made it easier for us to be away. We were so pleased with Angela and highly recommend her!”

About: I worked for about 2 years in a dog daycare, so I’m used to being around different types of dogs and handling them safely in busy environments. I also helped with dog rescues back in Colombia, where I fostered dogs and supported organizations that care for stray animals. That experience taught me a lot about patience and understanding dogs with different personalities. I really just love being around animals and making sure they feel safe and cared for Right now I have a flexible schedule, so I’m available most days for walks and drop-in visits. I’m reliable and can adapt to your pet’s routine, and I’d love to make caring for dogs part of my daily life. I currently live in a rental where pets aren’t allowed, so I don’t offer care in my home. However, I’m happy to provide dog walking and drop-in visits in your home.

“We appreciate her help for our two cats!! We’re away for 9days but we didn’t have to be worried about the cats because every time she visited our cats she sent some pics and videos, which made us feel happy and relieved! When we got home, everything was fine. We definitely ask her to take care of our cats next time as well;)”

About: About Dog: I am the proud 'mom' of an 11.5-year-old Siberian Husky who is still thriving, energetic, and healthy. Raising a high-energy breed into their senior years has taught me everything about scientific nutrition, joint care, and the importance of a balanced lifestyle. My approach is rooted in Positive Reinforcement and 'loving boundaries.' I believe that every pet deserves a caregiver who understands their unique personality and physical needs. Whether it’s managing a senior dog's delicate routine or handling the boundless energy of a younger pup, I have the patience and expertise to ensure they feel safe and loved. When your furry friend is with me, they aren't just being 'watched'—they are being cared for with the same scientific rigor and deep affection I give my own senior boy. About Cat: While my personal journey with cats began three years ago, my expertise rivals decades of experience due to the intensity and depth of my training. I successfully rescued a day-old kitten abandoned by its feral mother—a challenge that required around-the-clock dedication and specialized medical knowledge. In those critical early weeks, I functioned on minimal sleep, bottle-feeding every two hours and manually managing her body temperature with heat bottles every four hours before professional equipment arrived. I personally navigated every milestone: from her very first assisted elimination and the falling of her umbilical cord to her first time opening her eyes and the transition to solid food. Through this 'trial by fire,' I became an avid student of feline behavior and health. I have spent countless hours researching veterinary-grade resources and books to master feline habits, nutrition, and common health issues. Whether your cat is a playful kitten or a sensitive adult, I offer a level of vigilance and intuitive care that only comes from saving a life. I am fully confident in providing a safe, knowledgeable, and nurturing environment for your feline family members. As I am currently dedicated to full-time home-based pet care, I am available 24/7 to provide your furry family members with undivided attention. Whether they need frequent potty breaks, specialized medical monitoring, or simply constant companionship, I have the luxury of time to ensure they never feel lonely. Your pet’s routine will be my top priority, and I am always here to provide real-time updates and peace of mind. Safety is my absolute priority. Having raised a senior Siberian Husky and rescued fragile neonatal kittens, I am deeply attuned to creating a secure, hazard-free environment. In my home (or yours), I maintain a 'safety-first' protocol: • For Dogs: I perform regular perimeter checks of fenced areas and ensure all walking gear (harnesses/leashes) is double-checked before heading out. I am experienced in identifying subtle signs of stress or discomfort. • For Cats: I am an expert in 'cat-proofing'—ensuring no toxic plants, small swallowable objects, or unsealed windows are accessible. • Health & Hygiene: I follow strict sanitization routines, especially for kittens or senior pets with sensitive immune systems. I am also trained to administer medications and monitor health vitals. You can trust that your pet will be supervised with the vigilance of a professional caregiver, ensuring they are not just comfortable, but entirely safe.
About: Born and raised in Vancouver. I’m a working professional in the Brentwood, Burnaby neighborhood. I live alone in my apartment that I own. My last dog, Carrie sadly passed away from old age in 2022 after happily living for 14.5 years. I do not presently have my own animal. With my new job, unfortunately it doesn’t allow me to be at home as much as I would like to be to care for another dog. Therefore, I’m using this opportunity on Rover to spend quality time with other dogs. I’m truly a dog person.. I love dogs more than I like people! My favourite movie growing up was Air Bud and I always wanted a dog ever since. I think about dogs too often for someone who currently doesn’t have a pet! I am hoping to meet some of your dogs in the neighborhood. I live close to a couple of dog parks, as well as large grass areas near by my home. I also own a car and can drive if necessary. I am primarily available weekends and evenings. Tuesdays/ Wednesdays are my work from office days, but I may be flexible to shift my in-office days. My home is always clean and tidy free from any food debris or dangerous objects on the floor that an animal can get to. So that’s chocolate, garlic, etc. As well, toxic plants will be put away ahead of time during time of care of your animal.
About: From a young age, I have been immersed in caring for animals, especially cats. Growing up on a farm where we bred cats, dogs, and rabbits and raised chickens, I learned early on how to connect with animals on a deep, soulful level. My father, who worked in various animal-related roles, taught me the importance of treating all animals with respect and love as equals to humans. I've cared for cats and kittens since I was a child, and my mom lovingly called me "the cat dad" because of my innate ability to understand them. This lifelong experience has instilled in me a compassionate approach to pet care. As someone who works from home, I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for your furry friends. Whether you need daily visits, extended stays, or just someone to check in on your cat while you're away, I'm here to provide reliable and loving care whenever you need it. Your cat’s well-being is my priority, and I’m available to accommodate a wide range of schedules. When your cat is in my care, their safety and comfort come first. My home is a hazard-free environment where your pet can relax and feel secure. I understand how to create a calm and stress-free environment. Whether it’s providing the right food, plenty of fresh water, or cozy spots for naps, I take every detail into account. You can trust that your cat will receive attentive and loving care while you're away.
About: I’ve been caring for my own two poodles since 2021, so I understand how important routine, attention, and trust are when it comes to your dog. I’m very active and love walks! so your pup will get real exercise. I’m also attentive to each dog’s personality, whether they’re energetic, shy, or need a bit more patience. I treat every dog like my own and always provide updates so you feel completely at ease. I’m based in Concord Brentwood which is famous for its dog walking scene! I’m a student with a flexible schedule, so I’m available for dog walking and drop-in visits throughout the week, especially mornings, afternoons, and early evenings. I’m also available on weekends and can accommodate regular or last-minute bookings when needed. I prioritize consistency and reliability, so your pet will always be cared for on time and with attention. I prioritize safety, routine, and attention in every visit. I always follow your pet’s specific instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special needs. I’m attentive to each dog’s behavior and comfort level, and I make sure they feel secure and cared for at all times. I also provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Yang did a wonderful job taking care of my cats for a few days. She was very responsible, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She followed all the feeding instructions carefully and made sure my cats were well looked after while I was away. Yang also kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. It was clear that my cats felt comfortable with her, and everything was clean and organized when I returned. I really appreciate her help and would definitely recommend Yang to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring cat sitter. I would happily book with her again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets ever since I was 8 years old. I had 2 dogs and 2 cats in my life. I’d say that they had a very good life when they were with me. Friends and families relies on me when they need me to do a pet-sitting. I was responsible to bathe them, make sure that they have nutritious meals and drinks, potty train them, walk them, bring them to the vet when it’s needed, play and entertain them, and always make sure that they’re happy. I’m currently working evening shifts, so I can pet-sitting your pets in the morning till afternoon before 3 PM. Then I can go back to pet-sitting again and staying at your place at night time after I finish my shift at 11 PM. I normally petsit with my partner, Cindy, and she works from home. So she can provide the care that’s needed for your pets while I’m away for work. I can take care of your pet at your own place, because unfortunately my apartment is not pet-friendly. This is one of the reasons why I want to do this job, so I can be around my client’s pets.

Thank you Emily for your fantastic care of our two precious cats while we were away on vacation! We so appreciated your detailed check-ins, photos and updates from each daily visit. We truly had peace of mind knowing our cats were in great hands, and came back to happy, healthy kitties.

Yan was absolutely wonderful with my cat, Peanut! Leaving a pet behind is always a bit stressful, but she made the entire experience seamless and worry-free. She was incredibly attentive, dependable, and kept me updated the whole time. It was clear from the start that Peanut was in safe, caring hands. I will definitely be booking her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-tier pet sitter!

Once again Blake and Carly did an amazing job, we had an issue with one of our cats right before we left and they kept us updated and how our cats were doing every visit. Our 2nd time with Blake and Carly and they are just amazing. Always on-time, friendly with our 2 kitties and they go above and beyond. Thank you both so much.

Shiyao was a wonderful cat sitter to our kitties, Poppy and Daisy. She was very responsive every time we contacted her. She sent pictures and videos to us at every feeding and the cat feeding area and litter were always very clean and tidy. Our kitties were well taken care off-happy and healthy upon our return. Shiyao also was very mindful and careful with the security of our home, making sure the house was alarmed after each feeding. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for someone responsible and who will love your kitties while you are away. Thank you, Shiyao! We look forward to having you cat sit when we are away next time!

Amanda was so amazing! She was very easy to communicate with, and she was very proactive with learning the care routine for Zoe and arranging for key pick up and drop off. Most important of all, she took such good care of my cat when I was away. I’m so happy I found Amanda and will definitely book with her again!

Anna is a very professional and warm sitter. We contacted her on short notice for a drop-in visit, and she truly exceeded our expectations. Our cat, Pudding, is usually shy and not very interactive, but during Anna’s first visit we could tell he felt comfortable with her right away. Besides feeding him and refilling his water, Anna spent extra time playing with Pudding and keeping him active. It was very reassuring to see how relaxed and happy Pudding was—almost as if we were still home with him. We would absolutely recommend Anna to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.

Lauren is excellent. She went above and beyond for my cat. She was genuinely concerned for his well being and made her morning visit far earlier than I would have dared to ask. She also made herself available for an extra visit in case my travel plans were changed. I will definitely call on her again.

Penny was fantastic. She’s caring, responsible, and genuinely attentive. She kept my place tidy, spent real time playing with the kitties, and made sure they stayed engaged and comfortable the entire stay. If I could give her six stars, I would. Highly recommended to book with her!

Sogand was an excellent sitter for Willow! She asked thoughtful questions, which showed how much she genuinely cared. She kept me updated with photos and messages throughout the visit, which really helped ease any concerns. I will definitely use her services again in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
There are 4,515 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Burnaby. About 85% of Burnaby sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Burnaby stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Burnaby choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
