My journey as a pet parent began when I adopted my first cat, Misty, from a shelter when she was just six months old. I was lucky to share 17 wonderful years with her, from a tiny kitten to a graceful senior. Misty was part of my life and family. To give her the happiest and healthiest life, I constantly sought out knowledge about cat care and did everything I could to provide her with the best home and the longest companionship. Caring for her was sometimes demanding but always heartwarming, and I will always be grateful to Misty for making me a cat mom. I also have another cat, Ryuma, a playful Bengal who now lives in China with my husband and family. I cared for her closely for six years, and even now when she’s not by my side, I miss her dearly. She is full of energy, a little mischievous, and very particular about food and her litter box, which taught me to pay careful attention to details and always stay patient in pet care. Over the years, I’ve also cared for many pets belonging to friends and relatives. My best friend’s two toy poodles often stayed with me for 2–3 months at a time. They were full of energy, but I truly enjoyed our walks and playtime outdoors. After each outing, I would carefully clean their paws, and at night they often slept beside me. Since one of them had an injured leg, I even set up two small stools to help him get onto the bed and sofa comfortably. I also cared for my cousin’s large poodle for a month—she was very strong, but I have good stamina and could easily handle walks and outdoor activities with her. I’ve met and cared for many cats through my friends as well. They trust me to be the first person they call whenever their pets need temporary care. Thanks to my years with Misty and Ryuma, I deeply understand feline habits and personalities, which helps me quickly build trust with new cats. Every cat that has stayed with me has been treated like family, with patience, gentleness, and love. Now that Misty has passed, I don’t plan to adopt new pets of my own for the time being. Instead, I want to dedicate my time, love, and gratitude to caring for other people’s beloved companions—whether it’s for a short visit or a long stay, I’ll look after your fur kids as if they were my own.
