About: Hi there! I've loved dogs ever since I can remember. I was finally lucky enough to get my own dog in 2007. Buddy was my amazing companion and taught me so much. He unfortunately passed away in 2022 and I was/still am devestated. I'm excited to be able to surround myself with dogs (as my hubby (Josh)and I are not mentally ready to get another one). My husband Josh is amazing with dogs, he always treated my dog as his own (one of the reasons why I fell in love with him)! I am a home-based travel agent which allows me to book trips for you and watch your pup while you're away! This allows me to have an extremely flexible schedule to better care for your pup! I love exploring new trails and parks, taking pictures and I have tons of toys and games and enrichment for your dog. We look forward to sharing our home and hearts with your pup! Being an home-based travel agent with no structured schedule makes it easy for me to be flexible with my schedule. I'm available for daily walks (whichever length is needed), daily dog sitting (at my condo) and overnight boarding (at my condo). I provide lots of toys, healthy treats and snacks and puzzles for enrichment. My condo is in Port Coquitlam and I'm on the ground floor for easy accessibility. Must be potty trained. I live in a dog friendly condo in Port Coquitlam. I'm on the ground floor for easy accessibility. There are several parks and trails near my place. I have a car to take dogs further out of Poco to try new parks and trails. I also have dog stairs for easy accessibility for small or older dogs to get onto the couch or bed. I also have a dog stroller to take on walks if I have dogs of different energy levels. My husband also helps me out with taking care of the dogs when he's home. He's great with them, one of the reasons I fell in love with him, he treated my dog like his. All the dogs are allowed on the bed and couch.

About: I have had dogs since I was born, so I understand that every pup has unique needs. I have experience with dogs of all ages including puppies and seniors. I do asynchronous online school, so I have the time and flexibility to stick to your pup’s schedule and provide playtime, walks and a companion during the day and night! With our big, fenced in yard your pup will have the freedom to play ball and take in all the new smells. There are also plenty of paths to go for walks! My goal is to allow your pup to feel comfortable and at home, following any rules you as an owner may have! I will always provide your pup with the most loving and safe home away from home! I am happy to do anything I can to ensure your pups happiness and well being and to give you the peace of mind of knowing your pup is receiving all the TLC they deserve!

About: What sets me apart? I am confident with large dogs, including farm and guard dogs! I discovered a love for big dogs when my mum adopted a hound mix who grew to be a 120lb wrecking ball of dopey energy. I've had a soft spot for the big ones ever since, and take particular pleasure in befriending them. I believe communication between human and dog is critical. A person's body language and tone of voice can say more to a dog than words ever could. That means I physically get down onto their level for affection, I use positive reinforcement consistently, I talk with them throughout walks, and I keep an eye on their body language as well for signs of happiness, fear, apprehension, etc. I'm confident walking on city streets, in forests/on trails, and in off-leash zones. I just need to know what your pup is most comfortable with and we'll go from there! I am keen to operate within the parameters and routines you've established inside and outside your home, in order to maintain continuity for your pet. This includes checking in with you for specific command words, encouraged and discouraged behaviours and their corresponding rewards/corrections, social situations to work on or avoid, favourite routes, etc. Personally, my pet cat receives as much attention as I can give him. He is highly affectionate, so is usually parked on my lap or somewhere nearby. I used treats/positive reinforcement to train him to shake a paw and sit down. My great fear for my little guy, and for all pets, really, is that he is bored, understimulated, or lonely. Because of this, I pay special attention to making sure that he is being physically and mentally stimulated in addition to affection. That means exercise and puzzles! I love to find simple games whether we're outside or inside - find-the-thing, makeshift tunnels to run through (if you're brave), seeking out tiny forest creatures to discover, etc. I'm always looking for new brain games for dogs, so if you have a favourite, let me know!

About: I have had a dog myself for eight years and i have been babysitting dogs for three years i also know how to train puppies.I’ve been around dogs my whole life and really enjoy caring for them. About: I have been a dog trainer for the past 26 years and I have had pets all my life. I know how important it is to find someone reliable to take care of your pet while you are at work, or away. I have had my fare share of dog walkers cancelling at the last minute so I know the frustration with finding a reliable and responsible person. I am now 50 years old and will be there for your dog or cat, as agreed and as needed. I recently lost my big Rhodesian Ridgeback. We hiked every day for his ten year life. He was a well trained (by me) but spoiled boy who slept in my bed and was allowed on the sofa. I would treat yours based on your own rules but they would be loved and completely cared for. I find myself not wanting another dog of my own just yet but wanting to take care of others while I have the time. * Doggy day care max 8 hrs * House sit/boarding 24 hours * Dog walking one hour * Home visits 20-30 minutes My schedule is open but new dogs I will book solo so we get to know each other first. I can do day or evening walks, any day of the week. Boarding would consist of walking your dog everyday, max 2 dogs at a time. I have a very large home in Westwood Plateau. I have a fenced yard that we can hang out in after our walks, which would usually be in the forest where they can be on or off leash once we get to know each other.

About: I was a dog-mom for 8 years before losing my boy to cancer in June 2024. Believe me when I say, I love dogs more than I can put into words. They are a constant reminder of what is good and beautiful about this world and I truly do love them all like they are my own. I am exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled at caring for senior dogs with high medical, emotional and physical health needs as well as anxious dogs. While my dog was with me, he was under the care of a Naturopath, a GP vet, an Internal Medicine Specialist and a Cardiologist, and he attended biweekly Hydrotherapy sessions in early 2024. He also ate homecooked meals, under advisement from his Naturopath, before transitioning to speciality food. I am available to help in Coquitlam , Port Coquitlam and Port Moody so, drop me a line -- I can't wait to meet you and your fur-baby :) I work from home 3 days a week so, I can make time to walk your dog (within Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody) or, if you'd like, I would look after your dog in my home office while I work.
