“Walter and Angela are a caring couple who love dogs. My dog Lucy was in their care Friday -Sunday at their home. They have a big house and big backyard. Although I was concerned about the gate in the back I was confident that they would be able to handle Lucy. I did hear that Lucy when peeing out the back escaped the backyard into the neighborhood. However Walter and Angela were quick about letting me know and tracking down Lucy as fast and safely as possible. They assured me they would find her and they did. Thankfully with their quick response they were able to find Lucy and pick her up from a neighbour. They found her from the pound being notified of a puppy in their back yard. They safely and promptly secured our dear Lucy. They then kept her safe for the next night and I picked up Lucy on Sunday which she seemed happy and excited. Thank you so much for taking care of Lucy 🙏🏼☺️”

“Hyoungjin & Soyoung D did an amazing job taking care of my little guy coco for a week! My dog came back happy & clearly well loved. They were attentive and communicated really well throughout his stay. I could tell he was in great hands the whole time. I’m very happy with their care and would definitely trust them again in the future!”

“Jen kept me updated with nice photos everyday during our vacation. I am so happy that her golden retriever provided company to my labradoodle. Will definitely ask her to dog sit again.”

“Margarita & family looked after Kona for 3 nights & 4 days. They are very competent & kind. It was a bonus for Kona to have kids to play with. Margarita answered questions & sent regular feedback with pictures so I was reassured Kona was in good hands. Thank-you!!”

About: Hi, I’m Robin! Lover of all animals and will treat your dog like a member of our family! I had cats and fish growing up and then moved on to dogs! I have 10 years of hands‑on experience raising my Boston Terrier from birth and caring for her through every stage of life, including her final battle with cancer. She taught me to be patient, playful, attentive, and deeply affectionate with every dog I meet. I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of my friends and family’s dogs, and know how hard it can be to be away from your little fur babies but also at the same time be able to enjoy some alone time. As a homemaker, I’m home all day, and ready to step in and be a welcoming, affectionate and safe provider when you’re away! Your dog will get ample time to play, walk or hike ( depending on your dogs abilities) relax, snooze, and of course, eat! We have a fenced in back yard, where they’ll be able to do their “business” whenever they need and a few parks within walking distance for some leisure time. I also have experience administering oral and eye medication. Being a homemaker, mom to a 19 yr old, and having no more of our own pets, your dog will be getting plenty of time, love & attention, and supervision throughout the day. My husband works from home and loves spending time with dogs too, so your pup will always have company. I live in a townhouse where your dog will never be far from my sight, not that many places to go lol. I live in a quiet neighborhood, where our backyard is fenced and not easily accessible to public. We have carpeted stairs making it easier to get up and down and a large carpet in the living room for them to roll around and scratch their backs!
“Elizabeth is great, our dog has stayed with her 3 times now. I was impressed at how when we arrived at her place this time Bella excitedly followed her right in without looking back. She must really be enjoying her stays.”

“This was my first time leaving cola and bear over night with anyone other than family and I'm so glad I chose Priya and Josh. They were excellent and my dogs loved staying with them. Cola and Bear got to go for walks 4 times a day, treats, cuddles and got to meet other dogs and children. I had no doubts when leaving my two little dogs with them and I'm so glad I got a chance to. They will definitely be back next time we need a dog sitter. Thank you Priya and Josh ❤️”

“Vanessa and Ehsan have watched Lexi a few times now and they never disappoint! I received daily photos and they were always out on some type of adventure. Lexi was exhausted when she got back! I definitely trust them with my fur baby!”
About: I have been a dog trainer for the past 26 years and I have had pets all my life. I know how important it is to find someone reliable to take care of your pet while you are at work, or away. I have had my fare share of dog walkers cancelling at the last minute so I know the frustration with finding a reliable and responsible person. I am now 50 years old and will be there for your dog or cat, as agreed and as needed. I recently lost my big Rhodesian Ridgeback. We hiked every day for his ten year life. He was a well trained (by me) but spoiled boy who slept in my bed and was allowed on the sofa. I would treat yours based on your own rules but they would be loved and completely cared for. I find myself not wanting another dog of my own just yet but wanting to take care of others while I have the time. * Doggy day care max 8 hrs * House sit/boarding 24 hours * Dog walking one hour * Home visits 20-30 minutes My schedule is open but new dogs I will book solo so we get to know each other first. I can do day or evening walks, any day of the week. Boarding would consist of walking your dog everyday, max 2 dogs at a time. I have a very large home in Westwood Plateau. I have a fenced yard that we can hang out in after our walks, which would usually be in the forest where they can be on or off leash once we get to know each other.
“Leo had a great stay with Kody and Sophie. They took great care of him for nearly 3 weeks. They sent regular updates which really put us at ease that he was in a great place with great people - we could tell how much fun he was having with them and how they loved having him around. Thank you again!”

About: Loving pet carer with over 20 years experience with dogs and cats. I offer daytime walks, daycare at my home, drop ins, and overnight care. Being an at-home parent my hours are fairly flexible on weekdays, and on weekends by request. We currently have one kitten of our own living at home, your pet would have to be comfortable with that. IMPORTANT For stays in my home: I do have two children at home (a 6yr old and a 10yr old) so for any bookings at my home I can only take in pets who are comfortable being around children. They have grown up around dogs, cats, and farm animals. I always take care to ensure that pets have space for themselves and that the children treat them respectfully, but I am unable to take in pets that may be extremely timid or aggressive with children. I am a stay at home Mum, and work part-time at home. So my schedule is fairly flexible, pets are not left on their own unless it’s for short periods. I’m happy to work with clients to accommodate their drop off and pick up times. Dogs have access to our fully fenced yard and a park just down the block. I never let a dog outside in our yard without me being present. I work from home allowing my schedule to be flexible to help accommodate your needs. Available weekdays and weekends, can be available on short notice. have a fenced in yard, where dogs can enjoy supervised play and potty breaks. I am able to contain dogs or cats to my family room/kitchen or living room if needed and happy to accept crates if needed.
“Sayedeh is an extraordinary sitter and I could not recommend her enough for the great work she did caring for my dog. She’s very affectionate, caring and great communicator. Made sure to send me lots of pictures and updates during the time she cared for my dog.”

“Amit & Peenaz were very kind and took good care of Jewel. She ended up having very bad anxiety attacks at nighttime (which we did not foresee), and they truly tried their best to soothe her episodes. I'm so sorry for the lost sleep! 😭 We got updates the whole time and felt at ease. I hope they are willing to take Jewel for the future!”

“I kept Cocoa with Lisa and her kids for second time. She took excellent care of Cocoa for 8 nights, going above and beyond to ensure she was happy and healthy. She regularly sent me photos, keeping me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind. I was especially impressed by how attentive she was to Cocoa's ear infection. Cocoa was clearly in great hands, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her services again. Thank you for everything Lisa.”

“We had an excellent experience with Steven and Gloria. They took great care of my dog and followed his routine closely, which made me feel very comfortable while I was away. He got regular walks, plenty of attention, and seemed very happy and relaxed. I also really appreciated how punctual they were with sending updates and pictures throughout the stay. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in such caring and reliable hands. Highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Coquitlam
Just had our dog complete his longest stay away from us to date (2 weeks). Vanessa and Ehsan were very aware of us being a little nervous and guilty for such a long stay but kept us very well informed on how he was doing. The visit went well and Cosmo seemed very relaxed for having us away so long. Vanessa and Ehsan Made leaving Cosmo a little easier than it may have been otherwise. Would highly recommend them for people who are a little nervous about longer first time visits. Well done!!

It was our first time leaving our dog, so we definitely did a lot of overthinking. Thankfully, Tejas kept us updated throughout, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that our dog was comfortable, well cared for, and genuinely enjoyed staying with them. Tejas was also incredibly flexible and accommodating, even though our booking was last minute and we had a few hiccups along the way. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience and would highly recommend Tejas to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Tyson was super calm and amazing with my boy Benny. Benny is a big boy who has high anxiety and barks at everything that scares him or is unknown. Benny reacted very positively to Tysons calm demeanour, and loves his yard. Tyson made sure Benny was taken care of, loved, and kept me informed throughout the day, with small check ins and a photo of him out on a walk :)

Serena and James were great with our little anxious pup, and very understanding and accommodating with our flexible schedule. Even for one night, they kept us updated and sent pictures and videos which was very comforting. They are very knowledgeable and understanding with dogs and their various personalities . I recommend them wholeheartedly. I’ll keep driving all the way from Abby to leave my pup with them in future.

I will definitely be sending my pup Delilah back to Christy’s! Christy really treated Delilah like a part of her family🩷I received photo updates and Christy was great to communicate with! I really appreciated Christy taking the time to confirm all of Delilah’s needs🐾

We could not be happier with our Rover experience with Sophie and Kody. They took excellent care of our pup, Kaia, and welcomed her into their family. With lots of photos and videos, we had no concerns for Kaia’s care. We would board again with them in the future without hesitation.

Kate took amazing care of Lucy, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She was attentive, responsible, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Lucy was happy, well cared for, and comfortable the entire time, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring to look after their pet.

We had a great experience with Vivian taking care of Snoop. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, and she was incredibly attentive to every detail, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She truly went above and beyond to make sure Snoop was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Vivian to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful dog sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
