“Riley was very responsive and communicative. She helped watch over our two dachshunds and made sure they didn’t jump off the couch to protect their backs. Appreciate the help!”

“Paula took great care of Max for 3 nights/days. She sent plenty of pictures and Max was happy when we got back. Most importantly she followed the care schedule for his meds that were left for him to take 2 times a day. Would definitely use her again!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Morgan! With my permission, her partner also stayed here. They took such great care of my 2 dogs and of our home! They sent updates and photos daily! And they asked questions, if they weren’t sure of something. They are by far, the best sitters we have ever had! The only issue with me raving about them, is that they will get too busy! I want to keep them all to myself!”

“Armina is very responsive and willing to help out. We had a blip in our petsit where the date slipped her mind (due to a family emergency), but was very apologetic and made it over for the pet sit as soon as possible which I appreciated. She provided plenty of photos and texting updates during her stay and followed the care routine. Thanks for your help!”

About: Growing up, my family had 2 large dogs. I have always had a love for animals, big and small. At this stage in my life, I do not have any pets of my own. I am a loving aunty to my sister’s two dogs, Gus and Hopps; my dad’s dog, Ollie; my uncle’s dog, Moffat, and my sister-in-law’s cat named Ben. Not to mention, an honorary aunt to countless friends’ pets. I have had the pleasure of pet-sitting dogs and cats of all ages, including an adorable 15 year old Boston Terrier with various health issues requiring timed medication and a rescue dog that required daily physiotherapy exercises and massage for some muscle and joint pain he was experiencing. I work a full-time job Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. Depending on the situation, I can do a morning walk before work, an evening walk after work, and a later walk before bed. My partner is often happy to assist with a lunch-time walk as needed and based on the comfort of the owner. I am a quiet and respectful working professional who is committed to providing loving care to your beloved pets in the comfort and familiarity of their own home while you are away.
“Stephanie is great! She took great care of our 3 cats and the house was clean and tidy on our return. Recommend her 100% without hesitation or reservation. Great communication skills and she went above and beyond expected duties. Best of all our fur babies were happy and relaxed!”

“Leanne was awesome with my cats, one of them had a hard time to adjust to be without the family but she took the time to adjust the routine and find ways to make it work, at the end it was like they were friends from years! She sent updates and made sure my kitties had playtime and didn’t feel lonely. I would book her in the future.”

“Cara has become part of our family. She loves our babies and keeps them safe and happy when we travel. Cara has a wonderful connection with animals and any pet parent wishing to travel without their precious babies, would be very lucky to hire her.”

“Megan was fantastic with watching our kittens for the night. She sent lots of pictures, videos and kept us updated at all times. Our shy kittens were comfortable with her super quick and adapted well. She accommodated our schedule on Christmas and was great with communication. She made time to met our kittens prior which made us feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend booking Megan for your pet sitting needs!”

“Steph was fantastic with our dog Kotnim. Our dog is a very traumatized rescue dog from a Korean meat farm. She is a nervous and shy girl that requires a lot of patience and medication twice a day. We left for two weeks and were very worried, but Steph did a great job with her while house sitting. She was very attuned to Kotnims needs and very understanding of the situation. She also took lots of notes about the job and asked great questions about our expectations, which made us feel very confident that she was the right fit for our girl. Thanks Steph! You have our recommendation!!”

“Vivian was excellent. I am so happy, we loved her communication throughout the night, we received videos and updates. I felt very comfortable and our dog chai, who has separation anxiety felt good too. Thank you so much! We will book again :).”

“Couldn’t have been more fortunate to find Tina available on short notice. Wonderful lady with years of dog experience. Tina bonded with our dog Molly right away. We were able to enjoy our time away worry free knowing Molly was in great hands Highly recommend Tina!”

“Olivia is conscientious, punctual and very well spoken. She was very good with Sasha, and we have already re-booked her to pet an house-sit during our next trip away. If you need someone to look after your pets, I highly recommend Olivia!”

“Isabella is an outstanding dog sitter! My pups were happy, healthy and clearly well cared for while I was away. What a relief! Isabella sent daily videos and photos of my happy, smiling pups. I highly recommend Isabella”

About: Hi there! My name is Nicole, and I'm a 38-year-old Etsy shop owner in Maple Ridge. I've had family dogs my entire life, ranging from 8-25 lbs. And my wife, Nikki, and I have been sharing full-time Dog Mom duties for over 5 years. In October 2025, we lost our good boy, Eddie, after a long decline during which I learned to comfortably administer insulin. Now, our sweet rescue girl, Moxy (age 9 or 10), has no fur friends to spend time with. While not required, I prefer to care for dogs who are comfortable with Moxy tagging along for walks and house-sits. She is a well behaved, house-trained, 9-year-old Maltese-Mini Schnauzer mix who is, as we like to say, "just happy to be there." She is good with most dogs, but becomes avoidant of dogs who get overly excited and rough. She plays very gently. I am available for dog walks, drop ins or day sits anytime after 9am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays and Thursdays are my focused work days, so I am only available after 5pm. I am also available for pet sitting any day of the week, as long as your pets are able to be left alone for up to 4 hours per day on weekdays. For new clients, I would like to schedule an in person meet-and-greet to ensure we are a good fit for each other. If you’re interested, please send a message with details about your pets and desired services. I'm happy to answer any questions :) Thanks!! WALKING + DROP INS + DAY SITS I am available for dog walks, drop ins or day sits anytime after 9am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays and Thursdays are my focused work days, so I am only available after 5pm. **I usually take an hour during Mon/Thurs to take our dog, Moxy, for a walk, so I have room for 1 more doggo to join us during those days. HOUSE-SITTING: I will treat your home with the utmost respect. I’m happy to water your plants and bring in the mail, and I will of course tidy up to ensure you can't even tell I was there. I can provide you with frequent updates, along with cute photos and videos so you can feel assured that your pets are well cared for. I work from home, meaning your pets will rarely be alone. They will get walks, belly rubs, potty breaks, and play time as desired. My work schedule is mostly flexible, allowing me to give your dog or cat plenty of attention and care throughout the day. My job requires about 15 hours per week of focused time spent at my home office. That work is usually done on Mondays and Thursdays, however, I can spread it out over the week to decrease the time that I'd need to be away from your pets if your trip falls on those days. You know your pet(s) best, so we can discuss the preferred way for me to accommodate them. Please let me know if you're comfortable with our well-behaved, house-trained, small dog Moxy visiting your house or joining for walks with your dog(s). She'd love the socialization. But if it's a no, that's okay. At this time, I'm not able to board pets at our home, but I'm happy to come spend time with your dogs in the comfort of their home.
“Leah was incredible- she took such great care of our kitties and our home while we were away. We would absolutely use her again and our kitties loved her! When we got home it was like we never left, they were content and happy. Thank you Leah!”

“Darlee took amazing care of our home and cats while we were away. Both cats are seniors and need frequent wet food feedings as well as one is diabetic and needs oral medication at set times. They are very needy needing lots of attention and when we got home they seemed perky and happy. She took great care of them, communicated well, and left the home in a very clean shape even putting her bedding in washer before she left. We were very impressed.”

Paula was incredible! Communication was amazing with thorough updates, including video and pictures. Paula was thoughtful and support my concerns having never left my senior chihuahua before with worry around his anxiety and attachment. Paula took the time to meet us first, walk the neighbourhood and go over routine. I was comforted deeply knowing Paula was in my home and OC was cared for. Highly recommend! Thank you Paula! 10/10❤️

Couldn’t have been more fortunate to find Tina available on short notice. Wonderful lady with years of dog experience. Tina bonded with our dog Molly right away. We were able to enjoy our time away worry free knowing Molly was in great hands Highly recommend Tina!

Tatyana was wonderful! We got lots of updates with pictures and videos of Roux while we were away. She did some training with her as well. Tatyana stayed at our house and took very good care of it as well. And any time she needed to step out for a bit, her lovely mom came to spend time with Roux! We will definitely book with Tatyana again.

Tara was so attentive and a great communicator. She was very clear and upfront about her timing and her response time was extremely fast. I think our dog Oscar most certainly enjoyed her care, company and outings. I would highly recommend Tara to anyone who needs a Petsit and a house sit!
Davinia was an absolute gem watching my two fur babies!! I don't know who's separation anxiety is worse, theirs or mine, so leaving them for a week was very stressful for me, plus they are rescues from traumatic situations so they are still unsure about new people, especially my 3lb. chihuahua! They took to Davinia right away though, which is rate, but definitely put me at ease so I could actually enjoy my vacation and not worry the whole time. She sent updates and photos multiple times a day which worked perfect for me because I would have just been asking about them all the time otherwise. I'm so happy my littles were in such good hands and I that I have someone I can trust to look after them! Thank you so much Davinia!!

Jackie was fantastic taking care of all our animals. She loved our animals right away and vice versa. At our meet and greet she got down on the floor and won our temperamental Roxy over. Jackie left our home nicer than we had left it. We would use Jackie again in the future! Thank you Jackie from Liz, René and the zoo.

Armina is very responsive and willing to help out. She provided plenty of photos and texting updates during her stay and followed the care routine. Thanks for your help!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Coquitlam on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 3,016 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Coquitlam. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Coquitlam maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Coquitlam walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coquitlam choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
