“Victoria has been working with our puppy for several months now and has been such an awesome help. Our boy adores her and can't wait for his walks with her. She has also been very accommodating and helped us find other dog walkers on days she was unavailable, and is always reliable and easy to communicate with!”

About: I've grown up with dogs and now have our own loveable labradoodle in our family. Love dogs and walking and being outside whatever the weather. Very comfortable around any size of dog. I am a stay at home mom so have time during the day to walk your dog. I can do this with my own friendly labradoodle or without her depending on your dog's personality and needs. It's important to me to find out all about your dog before I walk them. What scares them, what do they run after, do they like other dogs or being patted by humans?
“Priya was awesome with our dog Bluey and we’ll definitely be asking for her services again! Priya was very attentive and Bluey instantly recognized her as a friend :)”

“Our dog has been out for a couple of walks with Alex so far and comes back very happy and tired - he clearly has a lot of fun. Alex is also a pleasure to deal with: she communicates well and is very friendly and punctual. We'll be booking many more walks. Definitely recommend!”

“Paula was everything you could ask for and more!! Great communication, took lots of photos for us to see, and was very punctual ☺️ We will definitely be using her services again.”

“We were so happy to work with Taylor and get some help with walking our 10-year-old Mexican street rescue, Antonio. She was an instant favourite of Antonio's and he was excited to go with her for each outing and sad to see her go when it was over. Taylor was a great communicator providing updates on the day to confirm arrival/pick-up and also flexible to our needs when needs changed. We look forward to working again with Taylor once Antonio's knee is healed up.”

About: Loving pet carer with over 20 years experience with dogs and cats. I offer daytime walks, daycare at my home, drop ins, and overnight care. Being an at-home parent my hours are fairly flexible on weekdays, and on weekends by request. We currently have one kitten of our own living at home, your pet would have to be comfortable with that. IMPORTANT For stays in my home: I do have two children at home (a 6yr old and a 10yr old) so for any bookings at my home I can only take in pets who are comfortable being around children. They have grown up around dogs, cats, and farm animals. I always take care to ensure that pets have space for themselves and that the children treat them respectfully, but I am unable to take in pets that may be extremely timid or aggressive with children. I am a stay at home Mum, and work part-time at home. So my schedule is fairly flexible, pets are not left on their own unless it’s for short periods. I’m happy to work with clients to accommodate their drop off and pick up times. Dogs have access to our fully fenced yard and a park just down the block. I never let a dog outside in our yard without me being present. I work from home allowing my schedule to be flexible to help accommodate your needs. Available weekdays and weekends, can be available on short notice. have a fenced in yard, where dogs can enjoy supervised play and potty breaks. I am able to contain dogs or cats to my family room/kitchen or living room if needed and happy to accept crates if needed.
About: I used to have two boston terriers for 15+ years. When they passed away from old age it was really hard for me. They were healthy and just all around perfect dogs for me. I can’t describe with words how much I miss them. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be emotionally ready to own and lose my own dogs again. Right now I’m content with occasionally taking care of your dogs. Your dog/dogs can expect to be spoiled rotten with lots of affection, attentive care & mental stimulation. Any special needs can be catered to if informed ahead of time. All dogs must be house trained(except for puppies) and non aggressive towards other dogs and humans. Please bring all food, bed, toys etc to ensure your dog is not overwhelmed with too much change. I work from home full time typically from Monday to Friday 9-5. I have flexible schedule to take the dogs out for walks. It’s always nice to take a break from work. My place is usually very tidy and air conditioned. I make sure there aren’t any objects they can chew or swallow. Your dog will get one on one attention in a kid and other animal free environment.

Tatyanna is a wonderful Dog Specialist. I would even say that this is the best sitter that Bruno(my furry baby) and I have ever had! She took preparation so seriously, and visited our place a few times to get to know Bruno and his behaviour pattern/habits better. Tatyana was sending me pictures and videos daily when she was at our place and reporting how Bruno felt and how everything was going. She even watered my plants, which was just amazing! :) In a nutshell, I would definitely recommend Tatyana if you need a warm, kind, responsible and experienced specialist to look after or train your dog :)

We hired Vivian to walk our dog, Hazel, for 3 weeks while we were away. Vivian was absolutely wonderful with Hazel. She is a very kind, compassionate person and truly cares about dogs. Hazel looked forward to her walks each day and enjoyed all the new places that Vivian took her to explore. I would not hesitate to book Vivian again for walks or boarding while we are away. I would highly recommend her! Thank you, Vivian.

Stephanie was great! I have a big dog full of beans and she seemed to have no issue handling him. Stephanie was very flexible with schedule changes, she was always on time, kept in communication and kept me updated. If I hadn’t moved, I would keep Stephanie as my dog walker! She really helped keep my boy tired and happy! I would recommend her to anyone!

Victoria has been working with our puppy for several months now and has been such an awesome help. Our boy adores her and can't wait for his walks with her. She is patient, kind, and helps keep his training consistent. What a relief to be able to trust someone so completely to come to our house each day we were on vacation, to take our dogs for a walk! Nathan made sure our dogs were well exercised and safe in our absence and we’re delighted to know we can count on him in future too!

London was wonderful with Simba! He was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared a lot about him. Simba was happy and well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates. I would definitely book with London again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker!

Our dog has been out for a couple of walks with Alex so far and comes back very happy and tired - he clearly has a lot of fun. Alex is also a pleasure to deal with: she communicates well and is very friendly and punctual. We'll be booking many more walks. Definitely recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coquitlam choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 85% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
