Ress took great care of my girl and made sure to send me an (often humorous) update after each walk. I’d highly recommend her for your fur babies.

Excellent communication, reliable, dependable. Had the background and necessary experience we sought for looking after our strong Leonberger. Sent lovely photos and updates. Very professional. Would definitely use again and highly recommend. Appreciate the fact he could accommodate last minute request and still fit in a meet and greet. Thank you Scott.

About: My family and I are owners to a three year old big lab/mastiff cross who although is a gentle giant, can also get a bit crazy so if I can handle him I think I can handle anything. I’ve had a dog my whole life and I can’t imagine life without one. I have lots of experience dog sitting with both small and big dogs and there’s nothing I enjoy more than spending my days with them. When I am hanging out with the dogs I want them to feel totally at ease while keeping to their normal habits and routine, whether that be their normal walks, play time or snuggling. While you’re away from your pets they are missing you so I like to give them love and comfort while you’re gone.

About: I grew up with two dogs, two cats and 5 reptiles, and have always loved animals! Now, I have three dogs of my own, all rescued. I've gained a lot of experience training my dogs myself, but I've also worked with a number of professional trainers who specialize in dog behaviour and reactivity. This experience has not only helped me better understand and manage my own dogs' behaviour, it has also led me to find my passion for working with animals and their humans to help them live their best lives together! I have completed The Dog Walker Certificate and The Daycare & Boarding Management Certificate through The Good Dog in Port Moody and believe in positive reinforcement training. It's important to me that your dog always feels safe in my care. I also love taking photos, especially of dogs, and have worked with local rescues to photograph some adoption events. Please let me know if you're interested in a pup portrait so I can bring my camera along on our adventures! (1 free pet portrait with a professional camera per walk booked) I'm currently doing shift work and have a very flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate for your dogs needs! I will have my calendar updated but feel free to message me as I might be able to accommodate one walk on some days I work! At this time I can't take care of dogs in my own home as one of my dogs is reactive to new dogs. But I'm happy to do drop in visits! Whatever the dog needs during the drop-in whether that's that's medication administration, feeding or just a snuggle on the couch!

About: I've owned animals of all kinds for my whole life, including dogs, cats, snakes, bunnies, and chickens. I am very comfortable with reactive animals and understand that each pet is different and unique! I love being around animals and ensuring they get the best possible care. I am currently working part time and taking university classes. However, I have plenty of time in the mornings and evenings (and sometimes all day) to take care of your pets! I am more than able to fit pet sitting into my schedule as well as my part time job is flexible. Whenever I walk a dog I ensure that they get plenty of time to smell around and get proper enrichment! For any pet sitting services, I am a diligent and kind sitter who will give your pet lots of attention while respecting their boundaries and routines.

Victoria was fantastic with my dog! It was great she could take on such a full walking schedule, on such short notice, before my vacation for two weeks. I loved seeing the pics and videos and seeing where they walked. I could always see my dog wagging her tail (through the door bell camera) happy to see Victoria for her evening walk. It felt good to see my dog excited. Thanks a bunch! Hope you have time in October to help us.

About: Promo pricing until October 1 :) I have had experience with rescuing and fostering bully breeds and boxers since I was a young child, I am very familiar with XXL breeds. I use positive reinforcement training with treats or a toy. I am passionate about animals, once you meet me you will see the magnetic pull I experience once a fluffy butt is near me! I'm looking for some part time dog walking or pet care to help keep me active, and spend some time with new animals! Pets really are the best therapy I have access to a private gated area for off leash play, so no risking the dog parks here! Im totally fine doing longer walks or jogs so if you have a higher energy or a longer walker, bring it on!

About: Growing up with dogs all my lives, caring for pets has always been a natural part omy family. Over the years, I have gained hands-on experience raising, training, and loving dogs of different breeds, personalities, and needs. Having my own dog deepened my understanding of daily routines, emotional care, and what it truly means to be a responsible and loving pet parent. As dog parent who have used daycare and sitting services ourselves before my dog passed away, i understand the trust it takes to leave your pup in someone else’s care. That’s why I am committed to providing safe, attentive, and loving care, just like i would want for my own dog. I focus on creating a happy, playful, and nurturing environment where dogs feel comfortable, relaxed, and excited to be. From fun walks and engaging playtime to cozy cuddles and calm companionship, I make sure every dog receives personalized attention, affection, and plenty of tail-wagging moments.

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm, where caring for animals wasn’t just a responsibility, it was a way of life. Over the years, I’ve also shared my home with beloved dogs and cats of my own, giving me a deep understanding of the love, patience, and consistency they need to feel safe and happy. I know that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to understand the animals, emotional, and physical needs and adapt accordingly. As an experienced Airbnb host, I understand the importance of respecting your home as carefully as I care for your pets. Whether your companion needs energetic walks, gentle companionship, playtime, or quiet cuddles, I tailor my care to their individual needs. I am comfortable administering medications as directed, monitoring your pet for any changes in health or behaviour, providing wound care, and skilfully and confidently following veterinary instructions after appointments or treatments. My goal is simple: to ensure you return home to happy, healthy pets and a home that has been cared for with the same attention and respect I bestowed on my Short term rental property. I have the experience and expertise to handle any event that occurs in a capable calm manner. This is my retirement job and I’m so excited about it. It is in my nature to nurture animals homes, and of course, my kids and grandkids. I am a positive influence and addition in any role that I take on. This is also an opportunity for me to be active and connected, which is very important to me. Pets are best served by being in their own space where they are familiar and comfortable. Walks are provided that are adventurous or calm, depending on the needs of my current walking companion. Attention to detail will be provided in their maintenance feeding routine and healthcare guidelines provided by their owner and or veterinarian. I am skilled at administering medication and providing wound care.

Daria was great!! We had our meet n greet on short notice and she was very accommodating to that for us. She was extremely reliable with coming to walk our Quilly each day! We got photo and video updates daily which was a huge highlight of us being away from home, I mean of course the vacation was nice but I looked forward to those photos and videos each day! She was also great in providing us a daily walk past our initial booking due to a long travel home. Pros: reliable, punctual, great with our dog, great communication. Cons: None! Would Highly recommend Daria to others and will be using her dog walking services again when we go out of town!

About: Animals have always been apart of my life. Growing up I raised 2 cats from tiny kittens all the way to senior cats. One of them, my soul kitty Jewel lived up to 18 years old (I miss her everyday) 🥺🩵 I've also always had a soft spot for dogs too, growing up I spent a lot of time around family and friends dogs that caring for dogs also feels natural for me as well. As a designer I currently work from home which allows me to have a very flexible schedule. Due to this it's fairly easy for me to integrate pet care throughout my day as I can move my schedule around in order to feed, walk, and spend quality time with whoever I'm caring for. I would probably be most interested in caring for pets in their own homes since I no longer have any animals or care supplies of my own. This way, pets stay comfortable and stress-free while getting the attention they need.

About: Hello there! My name is Kailyn and I am a very friendly, compassionate, enthusiastic, and self motivated individual who is a firm believer in giving back to the community and helping those in need in any way possible. I wake up every day wondering who will reach out to me next? Who will need my help? To help others is my mission. Help me help you! I am a fast responder and always eager to learn more to become a better pet parent. I totally understand what it’s like to have a busy schedule, so I am more than happy to help people balance their own when the need arises! I am reliable, meaning I will never leave the owner of a pet wondering if a sitter such as myself will ever arrive or not, and I am patient, knowing that an animal will not always act how you expect them to one hundred percent of the time. It does take a lot of patience and dedication. It is absolutely never a bad idea to get to know someone and their pet first before the owner feels they are comfortable leaving you with them. Making sure they’re a good fit! If you feel I am someone you wouldn’t mind looking after your furry friend, then please, feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you and your companion soon, and I hope you have yourself a wonderful day!

Michelle is highly competent and truly the real deal! She has a Type-A, go-getter spirit and was ahead of things before we even mentioned them. She offered extra help with the dogs, like filling their water bowls, and even had thoughtful ideas to support one of my pups with mobility issues. She was punctual, reliable, and honest in doing exactly what she said she would. I really appreciate her initiative and care. My dogs are already starting to adore her, and I absolutely would hire her again!

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pitt Meadows choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 86% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
