“Caroline is awesome with my dogs, Dolly and Lenny who are a handful. I must say. They get so excited when they see her come to our door and really enjoy spending time with her. She is an amazing dog walker and I highly recommend using her”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, and all kinds of pets, and caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been pet sitting for 8+ years for friends and family, from quick daily check-ins to staying for weeks at a time. I’m comfortable with all personalities and energy levels—from high-energy shepherds to sassy chihuahuas. As a former Canadian athlete, I love keeping dogs active with great walks, runs, and fun adventures while making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I also have experience with post operation pet care. I currently have a very open schedule, which means pet care can truly be my top priority. I’m available for flexible booking times and can easily adapt to your pet’s needs and routine. This allows me to give each pet plenty of attention, exercise, and care—whether that’s multiple walks a day, playtime, or simply keeping them company and comfortable. When caring for pets in a clients home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to pet care, so I follow all care instructions very closely making sure your pet is over cared for, triple checking every detail for your pets safety. I’m also very respectful of house rules, making sure everything is always clean and tidy. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel comfortable and informed while they’re away.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have hands-on experience caring for puppies and dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment is very important to me, and I treat every dog like family. I’m patient, attentive, and understand the extra care, routine, and attention puppies often need. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, cared for, and at home while you’re away. Pet care naturally fits into my daily life because I genuinely enjoy being around dogs. I have a flexible routine, so I can easily adjust my day to include walks, feeding, playtime, and one-on-one attention. I like creating a calm, consistent environment so pets feel secure and cared for, and I make sure they always get the time and attention they need without being rushed. Safety and trust are very important to me. I provide a calm, caring home with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and relax. I have two friendly dogs and a friendly cat that can help keep your fur baby company, if they’re comfortable. I also have a large dog crate available if needed. Pets receive regular walks, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while I follow their usual routines to keep them comfortable. I also offer drop-in visits for feeding, walks, and check-ins. I do not stay overnight in clients’ homes, but I’m reliable and make sure each visit is focused on your pet’s safety and needs.
“This girl! Karen is mature enough to fully trust to care for two of the most important dogs in the world. The minute she walked in the door, I could see that Karen was a natural dog person. She was calm and didn't get the dogs all wound up with baby talk. Her voice with them was steady and assured. Dudley and Daisy obviously had a great time with her on their walk. They were tired and happy. Karen really is a joy!”

“Brooklynn is so kind and professional. I had zero concerns of her ability to keep my pup safe and to provide her with a nice walk. I would absolutely recommend her for anyone needing some extra help with their pet.”

About: Although I've never owned a dog myself, that's because I've always understood the level of time, commitment, and responsibility they deserve. I grew up around dogs, have lived with dogs for much of my life, and regularly care for my parents' two Toy Australian Shepherds whenever they're away. They're a mother and daughter duo with very different personalities and needs. The mother is a senior with hip issues who benefits from extra patience and mobility support, while her daughter has anxiety and does best with a calm, reassuring approach and a consistent routine. Being Toy Australian Shepherds, they're also incredibly intelligent and active, so I'm used to dogs that thrive on structure, engagement, and paying close attention to their individual needs. While I don't have experience with every unique medical or behavioural situation, I've been around a wide variety of dog personalities, energy levels, and temperaments. I pay close attention to canine body language, respect each dog's boundaries, and believe that building trust is far more important than forcing interactions. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a drop-in visit, spending the day with them, or caring for them overnight, I'll treat them with the same patience, attention, and respect I give the dogs in my own life. If your dog has a routine or needs I'm unfamiliar with, I'm always happy to do my research beforehand and carefully follow your instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away! Right now I have a pretty open and flexible schedule, so I'm able to work around most pet care needs. Some mornings and around midday I'm busy babysitting my baby brother, but outside of that I have lots of availability for walks, drop ins, day visits, and overnight stays. I like planning ahead and making sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention they deserve instead of trying to rush from one booking to the next! I'll mostly be caring for pets in their own home because that's where they're usually the happiest and most comfortable. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible by following your instructions closely, respecting your home, and making sure your pet feels safe while you're away. In some cases I may be able to care for pets in my home, but it will depend on the pet. I live in a small one bedroom basement suite with my two senior cats, who are very sweet but also very timid. Because of that, I'd only consider pets that are calm, cat friendly, and comfortable in a quieter environment. No matter where I'm caring for your pet, I'll pay close attention to their behaviour, body language, and routine. I know every animal is different, and I think noticing the little things can make a big difference in helping them feel comfortable.

I have extra time for walking and cuddles. Boarding as well. Can help with pick up and drop off with discussion. We live in a 1100 sq foot condo with a large deck. We have half our deck covered in grass for emergencies. We have no pets, so there is no worry for dog aggressive pets. We have them a lot.
About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have 4 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs. Raising my own reactive quarantine pup taught me patience, structure, and positive reinforcement. I helped her become calmer and more comfortable around people, animals, and busy environments through consistent socialization and exposure training. I’m attentive to each dog’s unique personality and committed to providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while you’re away. I am currently working part-time while focusing on online classes, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive pet care. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by following their normal routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions provided by owners. I always make sure pets have fresh water, a clean environment, and lots of attention while in my care.

About: Hi! A little bit about me, I’ve been looking after family and friends dogs for over a year. I figured with the summer getting hotter and everyone busy I would love to help you and your furry loved ones get their walks and stay hydrated while your at work or vacation:) I’m currently working part time in Maple Ridge, but have 2 days off within the week always. The schedule is sometimes different but can always let you know ahead of time. I’m usually always free afternoons or after 6 I will always make sure to ask if there is any accommodations needed or rules before entering or leaving the property. Ex. If the the dog is allowed outside I will make sure if a fence needs to be locked or closed a certain way.
“Sierra is a wonderful soul. It’s very clear she loves dogs and her passion for working with these magical creatures is evident. My dog Sammi and I suffered a major loss this year and I needed someone to help support me with Dog walking. I was apprehensive at fist than after meeting Sierra I was put a ease and felt safe and trusted her with Sammi. I give her 10 stars. I have already talked to my next door neighbours letting them know how awesome she is and I would highly recommend getting her.”

About: I have taken care of a few dachshunds and miniature pinchers for friends and family for about 6 years. Feeding, walking, and playing with them. I have grown up with cats as well. I believe that it is important to take each pet's individual personality and preferences into account when caring for them. I have experience with dogs with disabilities, more specifically I have been taking care of a dachshund with IVDD for 2 years, helping him get around and giving medication. He had 4 spinal surgeries over the past 2 years. I currently work for Rocky Mountaineer train, which is a seasonal job (April until mid October). I work from Friday to Monday. My open availability will be every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. I own a pet ramp for easy access to furniture that is accessible to small or disabled animals. If your pet needs medication, I encourage a detailed instructive list on how to make your pet as comfortable as possible for a swift recovery. Over all, my main goal is to make your pet feel safe and happy when the owner is away. I have 2 years experience with disabled dogs.
About: I’ve been pet/house sitting for 2 years. My experience is mainly with dogs and cats. Although I have never had an animal of my own, I think it’s very important to create a bond between myself and the animals. My previous experience includes feeding, exercise, administering medication (oral and ear), playtime, and cleanup after accidents or spills. I just moved to the area from out of province so I’m still getting my bearings. As of right now, my schedule is clear for pet care every day except Sundays. I believe that if a pet is being cared for in their own space, it makes it easier to provide what they need. I have experience with house sitting in general, along with pet sitting. I will defer to the owners and follow their directions, especially when it comes to the state of their home and the trust they place in me to care for their pets.

Caroline watched Chloe three times this week and was incredibly punctual, professional, and reliable. We started with a meet-and-greet, and Chloe absolutely adored her from the start. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Chloe was in such great hands and so well cared for. I couldn’t recommend Caroline more—10/10! 🤗

Viktoriia was amazing for us. We have a black lab puppy who is 10 months and full of beans. They came early in the am took him for a hour walk and Ruggie came home with no beans left. It is an essential service as my partner broke his back and I need to be in the office in the early am. 10/10 and will book again!

My dog is quite large and can be reactive. Kelsey did An amazing job following his training protocols to ensure the walk was enjoyable for all. He came home ravenous, with a huge grin on his face. Kelsey even pointed out my cat had vomited, and cleaned up that without me even asking :) Big animal lover, and truly cares about taking care of all creatures.

I found Marianne while away on holiday. She was an incredible help to help my elderly mother walk my dog daily as my mom was struggling to take my dog for longer walks. Marianne would take my guy for much longer than the alloted time. I was told and have video evidence of my dog getting super excited every day before Marianne showed up to walk Bronco!

Shadnay has been walking my best friend for the last few days as he’s just getting over an illness. And I’ve had Shadnay walk him previously as well. Always on time and very attentive to what is going on with my boy. Thank you Shadnay! I will be sure to call her again in the event I need some help with my best friend and his walks while I am at work.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maple Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
