Amy was awesome with our pouch! I'm sure he is very happy with the care he received. I noticed how comfortable, confident and caring Amy was during our times together prior to us leaving and felt no concerns leaving our high energy boy in her care. Thanks Amy!

About: I have taken care of a few dachshunds and miniature pinchers for friends and family for about 6 years. Feeding, walking, and playing with them. I have grown up with cats as well. I believe that it is important to take each pet's individual personality and preferences into account when caring for them. I have experience with dogs with disabilities, more specifically I have been taking care of a dachshund with IVDD for 2 years, helping him get around and giving medication. He had 4 spinal surgeries over the past 2 years. I currently work for Rocky Mountaineer train, which is a seasonal job (April until mid October). I work from Friday to Monday. My open availability will be every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. I own a pet ramp for easy access to furniture that is accessible to small or disabled animals. If your pet needs medication, I encourage a detailed instructive list on how to make your pet as comfortable as possible for a swift recovery. Over all, my main goal is to make your pet feel safe and happy when the owner is away. I have 2 years experience with disabled dogs.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have 4 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs. Raising my own reactive quarantine pup taught me patience, structure, and positive reinforcement. I helped her become calmer and more comfortable around people, animals, and busy environments through consistent socialization and exposure training. I’m attentive to each dog’s unique personality and committed to providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while you’re away. I am currently working part-time while focusing on online classes, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive pet care. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by following their normal routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions provided by owners. I always make sure pets have fresh water, a clean environment, and lots of attention while in my care.

About: Hello! My name is Alejandra, and I'm a dedicated animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs. I'm the proud owner of two cats, so I understand the importance of finding someone who will treat your pets like family. Back in Colombia, my mother runs a dog and cat foundation, and I've helped her rescue and care for animals that are sick, injured, or have been abandoned. This experience has taught me patience, compassion, and how to handle animals with special needs. I would be honored to bring that same level of care and attention to your furry family members. Pet care is my priority, and I structure my daily routine around each animal's needs, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I'm flexible and available throughout the day to ensure your pets receive consistent attention and care while you're away. I maintain a calm, clean, and safe environment by following your instructions carefully, keeping hazardous items out of reach, and ensuring doors/gates are secure. I respect your home as if it were my own and provide plenty of affection, exercise, and supervision at all times.

About: Hi there! My name is Nicole, and I'm a 38-year-old Etsy shop owner in Maple Ridge. I've had family dogs my entire life, ranging from 8-25 lbs. And my wife, Nikki, and I have been sharing full-time Dog Mom duties for over 5 years. In October 2025, we lost our good boy, Eddie, after a long decline during which I learned to comfortably administer insulin. Now, our sweet rescue girl, Moxy (age 9 or 10), has no fur friends to spend time with. While not required, I prefer to care for dogs who are comfortable with Moxy tagging along for walks and house-sits. She is a well behaved, house-trained, 9-year-old Maltese-Mini Schnauzer mix who is, as we like to say, "just happy to be there." She is good with most dogs, but becomes avoidant of dogs who get overly excited and rough. She plays very gently. I am available for dog walks, drop ins or day sits anytime after 9am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays and Thursdays are my focused work days, so I am only available after 5pm. I am also available for pet sitting any day of the week, as long as your pets are able to be left alone for up to 4 hours per day on weekdays. For new clients, I would like to schedule an in person meet-and-greet to ensure we are a good fit for each other. If you’re interested, please send a message with details about your pets and desired services. I'm happy to answer any questions :) Thanks!! WALKING + DROP INS + DAY SITS I am available for dog walks, drop ins or day sits anytime after 9am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays and Thursdays are my focused work days, so I am only available after 5pm. **I usually take an hour during Mon/Thurs to take our dog, Moxy, for a walk, so I have room for 1 more doggo to join us during those days. HOUSE-SITTING: I will treat your home with the utmost respect. I’m happy to water your plants and bring in the mail, and I will of course tidy up to ensure you can't even tell I was there. I can provide you with frequent updates, along with cute photos and videos so you can feel assured that your pets are well cared for. I work from home, meaning your pets will rarely be alone. They will get walks, belly rubs, potty breaks, and play time as desired. My work schedule is mostly flexible, allowing me to give your dog or cat plenty of attention and care throughout the day. My job requires about 15 hours per week of focused time spent at my home office. That work is usually done on Mondays and Thursdays, however, I can spread it out over the week to decrease the time that I'd need to be away from your pets if your trip falls on those days. You know your pet(s) best, so we can discuss the preferred way for me to accommodate them. Please let me know if you're comfortable with our well-behaved, house-trained, small dog Moxy visiting your house or joining for walks with your dog(s). She'd love the socialization. But if it's a no, that's okay. Please note, I am not comfortable caring for pets who: - cannot be left alone - fight to receive required medication - are not spayed/neutered - are aggressive - are incontinent - are fully blind - are likely to require multiple bathroom breaks overnight - are over 40 lbs (unless they are calm/not jumpy and good on a leash). At this time, I'm not able to board pets at our home, but I'm happy to come spend time with your pets in the comfort of their home.

Shadnay has done a great job with my black lab! Very punctual and caring towards my boy. As we all know dogs thrive on routine and Shadnay shows up at almost exactly the same time everyday. My dog came down with a cough and could no longer attend daycare for awhile. Shadnay jumped right in and made a very stressful situation for me much easier ! Will most definitely use her services again ! Thanks Shadnay!

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since my grandma adopted a pregnant pitty and watched her raise 8 puppies! I’ve dog walked, boarded, cat sat, boarded on and off my whole adult life. I’ve also worked on a dairy farm and a hobby farm including sheep and chickens. I recently lost my fur baby in Dec, 2025, and have been missing animals in my life and home but am not ready to have another yet. Hoping to share my love and care with yours for now! I currently work part time, approx 9am to 2pm. I have two children, 6&9, who I then pick up from school and am home by 3. I take dogs in my care for a morning walk around 7am before school drop off and again in the afternoon(or evening depending on the weather). I currently have no pets, our friends in the basement suit have two cats, if your pet likes friends. If not, it’s easy to keep them separate in their own suit. I have a large yard that is not fully fenced so I take dogs out for bathroom breaks on leash or long tether.

We couldn't be happier with the care our two Ragdoll cats, Honda and Suzuki, received! From the moment we met her, it was obvious she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. Honda and Suzuki each have their own personalities and routines, and she took the time to get to know them, making sure they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for while we were away. We came home to two relaxed, content cats, which says everything. As any cat owner knows, that's the best sign they were in great hands! She kept us updated with messages and photos, giving us complete peace of mind throughout our trip. It's such a relief knowing we can travel without worrying because we know our cats are being cared for as if they were her own. She is dependable, kind, professional, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. Honda, Suzuki, and we are all very grateful!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, and all kinds of pets, and caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been pet sitting for 8+ years for friends and family, from quick daily check-ins to staying for weeks at a time. I’m comfortable with all personalities and energy levels—from high-energy shepherds to sassy chihuahuas. As a former Canadian athlete, I love keeping dogs active with great walks, runs, and fun adventures while making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I also have experience with post operation pet care. I currently have a very open schedule, which means pet care can truly be my top priority. I’m available for flexible booking times and can easily adapt to your pet’s needs and routine. This allows me to give each pet plenty of attention, exercise, and care—whether that’s multiple walks a day, playtime, or simply keeping them company and comfortable. When caring for pets in a clients home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to pet care, so I follow all care instructions very closely making sure your pet is over cared for, triple checking every detail for your pets safety. I’m also very respectful of house rules, making sure everything is always clean and tidy. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel comfortable and informed while they’re away.

About: Use my link to get $20 off your first booking with rover! https://www.rover.com/sit/savanl64780 I’ve had dogs in my life from a young age and truly can’t imagine a home without them. Growing up with both a small teacup dog and later a Malamute/Siberian Husky mix gave me experience with very different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I now have my own 10-month-old Australian Shepherd, and raising him has been such a meaningful experience. I’ve been consistently training with him since he was three months old, focusing on structure, patience, and building a strong bond. That experience has strengthened my understanding of how important routine and clear communication are for dogs to feel secure. In addition, I foster puppies through a rescue organization. Each puppy is different in age, breed, and temperament, and I genuinely enjoy helping them settle in, build confidence, and feel safe in a new environment. It’s important to me that every dog in my care feels comfortable, understood, and truly looked after. Dogs are just part of my normal day. I bring my own pup to work with me, so caring for dogs and planning around walks is something I already do. I’m available most Tuesdays, weekends, and after 5:30pm on weekdays. I’m naturally attentive when it comes to dogs, and it really matters to me that they feel safe, comfortable, and understood while they’re with me. I try to keep things calm and steady so they can settle in easily and feel secure. You can expect clear communication and regular updates, because I know how much peace of mind matters when you’re away from your dog. I want you to feel confident knowing they’re being genuinely cared for. On walks, I pay attention to their pace, energy, and comfort level so the experience feels positive and not rushed. I live on a fully fenced 10-acre property with plenty of safe space to explore and play, which is especially great for dogs who enjoy being outdoors. I also have my dog, Walter, who is very friendly and loves making new friends if your dog is comfortable with that. If I’m entering your home, I’m always respectful of your space and your routine. I understand the trust that comes with caring for someone’s dog, and I take that seriously.

About: *Willing to go off the app! Rover takes so much :(* Although I've never owned a dog myself, that's because I've always understood the level of time, commitment, and responsibility they deserve. I grew up around dogs, have lived with dogs for much of my life, and regularly care for my parents' two Toy Australian Shepherds whenever they're away. They're a mother and daughter duo with very different personalities and needs. The mother is a senior with hip issues who benefits from extra patience and mobility support, while her daughter has anxiety and does best with a calm, reassuring approach and a consistent routine. Being Toy Australian Shepherds, they're also incredibly intelligent and active, so I'm used to dogs that thrive on structure, engagement, and paying close attention to their individual needs. While I don't have experience with every unique medical or behavioural situation, I've been around a wide variety of dog personalities, energy levels, and temperaments. I pay close attention to canine body language, respect each dog's boundaries, and believe that building trust is far more important than forcing interactions. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a drop-in visit, spending the day with them, or caring for them overnight, I'll treat them with the same patience, attention, and respect I give the dogs in my own life. If your dog has a routine or needs I'm unfamiliar with, I'm always happy to do my research beforehand and carefully follow your instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away! Right now I have a pretty open and flexible schedule, so I'm able to work around most pet care needs. Some mornings and around midday I'm busy babysitting my baby brother, but outside of that I have lots of availability for walks, drop ins, day visits, and overnight stays. I like planning ahead and making sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention they deserve instead of trying to rush from one booking to the next! I'll mostly be caring for pets in their own home because that's where they're usually the happiest and most comfortable. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible by following your instructions closely, respecting your home, and making sure your pet feels safe while you're away. In some cases I may be able to care for pets in my home, but it will depend on the pet. I live in a small one bedroom basement suite with my two senior cats, who are very sweet but also very timid. Because of that, I'd only consider pets that are calm, cat friendly, and comfortable in a quieter environment. No matter where I'm caring for your pet, I'll pay close attention to their behaviour, body language, and routine. I know every animal is different, and I think noticing the little things can make a big difference in helping them feel comfortable.

About: In my pre-Canada days, I had a blast caring for pets! I trained my award-winning German Shepherd (Jessie) to be a little champ at 5 months old and supported her as she navigated the challenges and stresses of motherhood for the first time, helping her become a great mom to her puppies. A furry tale of cats and character was brought to me by Umka, the feline queen, and her adventurous kittens were a little bundle of surprises that turned my life into a delightful circus. Now in the land of maple leaves, my experience in caring for a cat clan and a faithful dog sets elevate my pet sitting service. I combine instinctive empathy with a flair for fun, offering your pets a uniquely attentive and engaging stay, where their happiness is my priority. I am working from home most days of the week and my family just moved to a townhouse with a backyard and a park right outside the fence. Pet care works well with my schedule and I am highly flexible with my time. 1150 sqf of space for running (and sleeping) + a fenced backyard in a pet friendly neighborhood and 2 dog parks one block of each other

Yuning was absolutely wonderful and took exceptional care of my cat while I was away. She provided detailed updates every day, including photos of his food bowls, which gave me great peace of mind. She spent quality time playing with him, brushing him, taking him out onto the patio, and giving him lots of love and attention. She also kept me informed about his energy levels and overall well-being. The photos and videos she sent showed just how relaxed and comfortable he was with her, which was incredibly reassuring. In addition to taking such wonderful care of my cat, Yuning kindly watered my plants and was always responsive, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with. Mya was absolutely amazing with our anti-social chihuahua + our own anxious selves (this was our first time hiring a petsitter). She was so compassionate and patient with our doggy and worked to earn his trust, which is incredible because he does NOT like many people. There are 4,489 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Maple Ridge. About 86% of Maple Ridge sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Maple Ridge stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maple Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
