Antaress was amazing with our puppy , she was punctual and professional. Completed all the tasks of walking and feeding our pup and submitted progress photos for our peace of mind while we were at work. She was trustworthy and respectful to our home and we would definitely request her services in the future!

About: I grew up around all kinds of animals, dogs more specifically. My family was a take in and care kind, from helping out friends and family’s pets. I took care of many size dogs and even quite a few were my own dogs. I recently moved to BC and wanted to start out with a nice small job, also something I know and love to do take care of dogs! I can fit a visit or a walk into my schedule pretty easily. I currently cannot have dogs in my home, however I’m more than willing to stop by for visits in you home take your dog out to relieve themselves or let out some energy with a nice walk around your neighborhood.

Shadnay has done a great job with my black lab! Very punctual and caring towards my boy. As we all know dogs thrive on routine and Shadnay shows up at almost exactly the same time everyday. My dog came down with a cough and could no longer attend daycare for awhile. Shadnay jumped right in and made a very stressful situation for me much easier ! Will most definitely use her services again ! Thanks Shadnay!

About: I have a deep love for animals and for treating them with love and respect. I am patient, kind, and fun. Growing up, we had many kittens and puppies that we raised and nurtured to be fine adult cats and dogs. I’m currently transitioning from a high pressure corporate career to a more relaxed and peaceful phase and have lots of time available for pet sitting, walking and checking in. I’m available most days and evenings, including weekends. I can care for pets in their homes, I am conscientious of what pet parents require. I appreciate clear communication. I’m also happy to care for elderly pets or those who require special attention.

About: Although I've never owned a dog myself, that's because I've always understood the level of time, commitment, and responsibility they deserve. I grew up around dogs, have lived with dogs for much of my life, and regularly care for my parents' two Toy Australian Shepherds whenever they're away. They're a mother and daughter duo with very different personalities and needs. The mother is a senior with hip issues who benefits from extra patience and mobility support, while her daughter has anxiety and does best with a calm, reassuring approach and a consistent routine. Being Toy Australian Shepherds, they're also incredibly intelligent and active, so I'm used to dogs that thrive on structure, engagement, and paying close attention to their individual needs. While I don't have experience with every unique medical or behavioural situation, I've been around a wide variety of dog personalities, energy levels, and temperaments. I pay close attention to canine body language, respect each dog's boundaries, and believe that building trust is far more important than forcing interactions. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a drop-in visit, spending the day with them, or caring for them overnight, I'll treat them with the same patience, attention, and respect I give the dogs in my own life. If your dog has a routine or needs I'm unfamiliar with, I'm always happy to do my research beforehand and carefully follow your instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away! Right now I have a pretty open and flexible schedule, so I'm able to work around most pet care needs. Some mornings and around midday I'm busy babysitting my baby brother, but outside of that I have lots of availability for walks, drop ins, day visits, and overnight stays. I like planning ahead and making sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention they deserve instead of trying to rush from one booking to the next! I'll mostly be caring for pets in their own home because that's where they're usually the happiest and most comfortable. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible by following your instructions closely, respecting your home, and making sure your pet feels safe while you're away. In some cases I may be able to care for pets in my home, but it will depend on the pet. I live in a small one bedroom basement suite with my two senior cats, who are very sweet but also very timid. Because of that, I'd only consider pets that are calm, cat friendly, and comfortable in a quieter environment. No matter where I'm caring for your pet, I'll pay close attention to their behaviour, body language, and routine. I know every animal is different, and I think noticing the little things can make a big difference in helping them feel comfortable.

About: I was a Vet assistant for 7 years, before going to school to be a unit clerk in the hospitals. I have a ton of medical knowledge to provide extra safety for your little ones. Currently we have no animals in our home due to having young kids. They are extremely interested in pets and we will get one when the time in right. For now we would love to enjoy the company of other families pets. All dog walking will be with NO kids. Currently working part time hours. I work till 3pm and live close by. I have extra time for walking and cuddles. Boarding as well. Can help with pick up and drop off with discussion. We live in a 1100 sq foot condo with a large deck. We have half our deck covered in grass for emergencies. We have no pets, so there is no worry for dog aggressive pets. We have them a lot.

We couldn't be happier with the care our two Ragdoll cats, Honda and Suzuki, received! From the moment we met her, it was obvious she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. Honda and Suzuki each have their own personalities and routines, and she took the time to get to know them, making sure they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for while we were away. We came home to two relaxed, content cats, which says everything. As any cat owner knows, that's the best sign they were in great hands! She kept us updated with messages and photos, giving us complete peace of mind throughout our trip. It's such a relief knowing we can travel without worrying because we know our cats are being cared for as if they were her own. She is dependable, kind, professional, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. Honda, Suzuki, and we are all very grateful!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have hands-on experience caring for puppies and dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment is very important to me, and I treat every dog like family. I’m patient, attentive, and understand the extra care, routine, and attention puppies often need. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, cared for, and at home while you’re away. Pet care naturally fits into my daily life because I genuinely enjoy being around dogs. I have a flexible routine, so I can easily adjust my day to include walks, feeding, playtime, and one-on-one attention. I like creating a calm, consistent environment so pets feel secure and cared for, and I make sure they always get the time and attention they need without being rushed. Safety and trust are very important to me. I provide a calm, caring home with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and relax. I have two friendly dogs and a friendly cat that can help keep your fur baby company, if they’re comfortable. I also have a large dog crate available if needed. Pets receive regular walks, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while I follow their usual routines to keep them comfortable. I also offer drop-in visits for feeding, walks, and check-ins. I do not stay overnight in clients’ homes, but I’m reliable and make sure each visit is focused on your pet’s safety and needs.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and have raised rescue cats for most of it, while also caring for dogs and other pets along the way. I love discovering each pet’s unique personality - whether they’re playful, shy, or somewhere in between. Your fur baby will be treated like royalty and my new little bestie, with plenty of love, attention, and affection. Think massages, gentle scratches, belly rubs (if invited!), and a calm, comforting presence so they feel safe, happy, and truly cared for while you’re away. You can count on me for reliable, responsible, and attentive care, with every instruction followed, your home respected, and regular updates with photos to keep your mind at ease until you’re back. I work from home 4 days a week, so can easily pop in a morning, lunch, after work, and/or evening visit or walk most days if you live in Maple Ridge or a neighboring municipality. I provide drop-in visits and short walks. I am communicative, will follow your instructions, and treat your pet(s) with the utmost care. It is important to me that your fur baby feels safe and loved, and you feel confident that your pet is being well-taken care of by someone who will shower them with love.

About: I have three years of experience caring for dogs and two years of hands-on experience as a cat owner. Through daily care, I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, basic grooming, and maintaining a clean environment. I understand the different needs and personalities of both dogs and cats, including shy pets and energetic ones. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine. I plan my schedule to allow enough time for feeding, walks, playtime, and quality attention, whether it’s a quick check-in or longer care. I’m flexible and reliable, and I make sure each pet gets the time and care they need without feeling rushed. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in every home I care for. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, routines, and house rules. About: I started dog sitting when a family member had to temporarily relocate to Toronto for medical needs. Sitting in the hospital i just really wanted to walk a dog - a friend suggested rover and I was blessed with not only walking dogs but pet sitting as well! i had so much fun I've decided to keep it up :) I have taken care of many animals - I do respite for people and this often includes their animals(: from tiny to large, young to old. Plenty of experience with oral medication and handling incontinence, very energetic dogs and the ones who take their time. I had my border collie for over 15 years, they taught me how important and rewarding it is to thoroughly care for our furry companions. I have extra flexibility during school breaks 😊 typically I take a dog for 3 walks a day, morning, a bigger afternoon walk and before bed time(: if i can I love spending a day hiking, or having a doggy tour guide around the neighborhood 🐾 I care for my client's homes and pets as if they were my own. Dietary needs, mobility, medication, behavior management and other needs are top priority. As well as all the fun(: i own my home in Vancouver and understand the importance of taking care of it. Off leash time i am very cautious and need to build trust first. I do have a dog friendly car:)

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I’m truly passionate about. I grew up in a family that loved and rescued animals, so I learned from an early age to treat every pet with patience, kindness, and compassion. My mom co-owned a pet sitting company in Maple Ridge, where I regularly helped with dog walks, in-home visits, overnight care, and looking after everything from dogs and cats to farm and exotic animals. I also worked at a veterinary clinic, which gave me valuable experience handling pets in a professional setting and recognizing the importance of their health, safety, and comfort. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I always care for them as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away, so you can have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in caring and experienced hands. My schedule is fairly flexible as I work from home and my two kids are typically in daycare and school - unless it’s summer. During summertime they are home with me and LOVE to help assist with pet care. I have a reliable vehicle and will do my best to work around your schedule. I’d care for pets in either my home or my clients home. I can be flexible and we can come to an arrangement so that you’re comfortable and the pet is happy

About: From a young age I have always had a love for animals. At age 11 I got my first puppy, a Great Dane named Lucy. Lucy ended up having severe reactivity towards other dogs. Through her I quickly realized I had a passion and natural talent for dog training and soon decided to pursue a career in the training field. I have dabbled in many sports such as flyball, agility, rally, nosework, disc, and even some lure coursing! I rescued a dog of my very own in 2014, a very anxious, high energy, one year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Charles. I didn't give up on Charlie, and through training, lots of structure in his daily outings, and patience, Charlie is still my beloved companion years later. I learnt so much through Charlie, and I believe strongly that the best way to have a healthy, happy dog is through a balance of exercise, enrichment, training, and a positive bond with their owner, and hope to help people enjoy each and everyday with their canine friends! I specifically love specifically to work with German Shepherd and Shepherd mixes, as a “Shepherd Person” myself and have lots of experience with large, strong, and reactive dogs. My Resume Includes: -NESDECA Certified Detection Dog Team/Handler -12+ Years of dog training and walking experience -Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT, PCTIA Certified, Good Dog Academy) -Graduate of Holly and Hugo Academy's Animal Psychology, Pet Adoption, Pet Nutrition, Animal Training and Pet Sitting, and Dog Grooming courses -Taken Dr Ian Dunbar's Crucial Concepts in Dog behaviour and Training (Over 10 hours of lecture) -Senior Trainer at SpiritDog Training I currently work as a trainer. Previously I used to do dog walking but stopped over the pandemic. I’ve missed it and would like to take on a small group of clients to get back into walking and walk & trains! I treat all pets as if they were my own and pride myself that my clients dogs will receive all the same effort and care as my own dogs do, and the level of care I would expect my dogs to receive in the care of others.

Mya was absolutely amazing with our anti-social chihuahua + our own anxious selves (this was our first time hiring a petsitter). She was so compassionate and patient with our doggy and worked to earn his trust, which is incredible because he does NOT like many people. She did an amazing job communicating with us while we were away (sending pictures and wee stories), and just overall, this was a 10/10 experience for us. We are so grateful we found her and would hire her again in a heartbeat!

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Maple Ridge

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Maple Ridge on Rover is $23.31 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 4,620 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Maple Ridge. About 85% of Maple Ridge sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Maple Ridge stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maple Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
