“I asked Lu for check in my dog Percy during the day. She was so nice , friendly and punctual, also sending me videos and pics while playing with Percy. Percy looked so happy and having fun! Thank you Lu! I will definitely ask her again 😃”

“Shadnay has done a great job with my black lab! Very punctual and caring towards my boy. As we all know dogs thrive on routine and Shadnay shows up at almost exactly the same time everyday. My dog came down with a cough and could no longer attend daycare for awhile. Shadnay jumped right in and made a very stressful situation for me much easier ! Will most definitely use her services again ! Thanks Shadnay!”

“Hilary eased my stress of leaving my fur babies while I had to leave on a work trip. She sent me photos each day and notes to ensure all their needs were met. She listened to all instructions and made sure to communicate with me. Very kind and trustworthy. I will be using her again for any future babysitting .”

“Many thanks to Vivian for agreeing to do a drop-in on a short notice. She kept me updated with messages and photos as usual. Vivian also put my computer cables away from the kitties-much appreciated! I’m very happy with the service and attention to detail. I’ll continue to use Vivian’s petsitting service in the future.”

About: I have a deep love for animals and for treating them with love and respect. I am patient, kind, and fun. Growing up, we had many kittens and puppies that we raised and nurtured to be fine adult cats and dogs. I’m currently transitioning from a high pressure corporate career to a more relaxed and peaceful phase and have lots of time available for pet sitting, walking and checking in. I’m available most days and evenings, including weekends. I can care for pets in their homes, I am conscientious of what pet parents require. I appreciate clear communication. I’m also happy to care for elderly pets or those who require special attention.
About: I know how to teach a couple tricks and I understand how different breads act different and maybe react in different ways because of it I work full time and my schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm, as of right now I don’t have any more sports going on so my evenings are pretty open besides some errands I don’t do in home sitting at my place right now but if I am at your place I want to make sure your pets doesn’t feel like I’m invading their space but making sure they still meet their routine and needs as normal
“Morgan quickly developed an amazing rappport with Jackson. Jackson is quite slow in feeling comfortable with new people and very stand-offish. He warmed up to Morgan so nicely. He appeared in many videos and pictures which kept me at peace being away from my boy. Morgan followed all the household directions; mail, watering plants, recycling, etc. Morgan was communicative and available throughout the booking. I recommend Morgan to other "pet parents".”

“Antaress was amazing with our puppy , she was punctual and professional. Completed all the tasks of walking and feeding our pup and submitted progress photos for our peace of mind while we were at work. She was trustworthy and respectful to our home and we would definitely request her services in the future!”

“Victoria was awesome! I booked her to come and visit my cats because I had a last minute trip to Toronto and it worked out so well! She was super accommodating, thorough, and it really set me at ease while I underwent an interview. She went above and beyond and we would certainly ask for her again if we need! Thanks so much, Victoria!”

About: My background in caregiving and my natural patience with both people and animals. I understand that every dog has different needs, personalities, and comfort levels. As a parent and caregiver, I'm used to being responsible, attentive, and adaptable. I'm also Pet First Aid certified and committed to providing a safe, positive experience for every dog in my care. As someone who has ADHD and autism, I often notice details others might miss and take routines and instructions seriously, which helps me provide consistent, individualized care. I believe pets are family, and I treat them with the same kindness, respect, and attention I would want for my own Dog walking is the perfect combination of exercise, companionship, and helping pet owners feel confident their pets are receiving quality care. I was recently diagnosed with autism and ADHD at 28 years old and I find most of my comfort with my families dog (Dotty) who I walk everyday. Throughout the day, we spend time outside exploring local trails, parks, or neighborhood walks, depending on the weather and her energy level. I make sure she always has fresh water, plenty of attention, and opportunities for play When caring for pets, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible, I understand like people dogs also have different personalities that all have different needs. For example, If a pet is shy or nervous, I'll give them space and let them approach me at their own pace. If they're energetic, I'll make sure they get plenty of physical and mental stimulation to keep them happy and engaged.

“Kieran is great with Jada. Jada is a bit unpredictable so she wears a muzzle on her walks, immediately she took to Kiera wagging her tail and smiling! I trust Kiera 100% with Jada, we are looking forward to having Kiera stay overnight with Jada while we are on the boat this summer ????????”

Nikki is a wonderful cat sitter! She went above and beyond to make sure our furbaby and our home were looked after during our trip. We loved getting daily updates and felt so comfortable knowing that our cat was getting his daily visits. We will definitely use Nikki again as our regular cat sitter!

Thank you so much Kiera, for going above and beyond with Ellie’s care this past weekend. You were determined to find her when she decided to hide on you! You stayed longer than your visit time to do it and you were successful. I really appreciate your extra time and effort!

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pitt Meadows choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
