Rhonda was knowledgeable about dog behaviour and was able to be flexible to give my dogs the support they needed, how they needed it while we were away. I wasn't worried about my babies at all :) Rhonda obviously loves animals and it was a blessing to have her drop in on my pups this week.

I have a 20 year-old cat, Beanie, who has kidney disease ... and is my greatest gift. Beanie requires a little bit more attention. Yu-Yi was beyond amazing in caring for Beanie. The communication, including pictures, was terrific and very appreciated. The daily log entries and updates during visits were very thorough. The most appropriate compliment I could offer is that I felt at total ease knowing Yu-Yi was caring Beanie. Thank you so much.

Jordyn was very friendly and accommodating with this booking. It was my first booking with rover and Jordyn was able to take my last minute booking. She was very professional and loving with our pet Espresso. She took care of him very nicely and espresso loved it. She was always available for communication via app and responded very quickly. Would love to rebook Jordyn when we travel next.

About: I’ve been a loving pet owner for years and I understand how important routines, exercise, and a safe, comfy environment are for happy pets. Through caring for my own dog, I’ve gained experience with walks, feeding, play, and reading body language. I’m comfortable with energetic pups and also patient with those who need a little extra time to warm up. I treat every pet like my own and always put their safety, comfort, and happiness first! I balance part time work and school. My schedule can vary a little, but feel free to reach out! I'm happy to work with you to find something that fits. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first with me! I carefully follow your instructions, from feeding and walk routines to any special care needs, so your pet’s routine stays consistent. On walks, I keep dogs on a leash and stay aware of our surroundings, always paying attention to their behaviour and comfort, especially around other dogs or new environments. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and focused on keeping your pet relaxed in their familiar environment. I’m also happy to send updates and photos, so you always know your pet is happy and in good hands.

Samia did such an amazing job looking after my cat whilst I was away for a few days. Knowing she has cats herself, Samia understands how to look after them, knows how to care for them, and gets their little behaviours and personalities. Samia herself is a warm and lovely person, and communication was always so great - especially receiving photos and updates each day…on top of this, also reminding me my fish needed feeding (safe to say thanks to Samia, the fish went without hunger). I will definitely be reaching out to Samia again, thank you so much for being so great 😊

About: Currently volunteering at Delta Community Animal Shelter, providing their dogs with enrichment, socializing, and play. I have hands-on experience working with dogs that have a wide range of needs. I specialize in supporting reactive dogs with calm, patient, dog-led care that gives them space to feel safe and understood. My approach is enrichment-based and focused on the individual dog in front of me. I pay attention to body language, the environment, distance from triggers, and what each dog needs that day. I believe walks should be more than exercise. They should help dogs sniff, explore, decompress, and feel more settled. I have experience with large dogs, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and dogs who need slower introductions or extra advocacy on walks. I use positive reinforcement and do not use prong collars, choke chains, or e-collars. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, respected, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. Dogs are already a big part of my daily life. I plan my schedule around dog walks, enrichment, routines, and giving each dog the time and space they need. I only take on pets when I know I can give them calm, focused, reliable care. I treat every dog and home with care and respect. In a client’s home, I follow instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and make sure your dog feels safe. On walks, I’m aware of body language, triggers, leash handling, and surroundings so your dog is never rushed or put into situations they cannot handle.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love spending time with pets of all personalities and energy levels. I currently have two cats of my own, volunteer at the BC SPCA, and regularly babysit family friends’ dogs, which has given me hands-on experience with feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning, and making pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I’m very patient, attentive, and comfortable around animals, and I’m definitely the type of person who will stop someone in public just to ask if I can pet their dog. Whether it’s an energetic dog that loves attention or a shy cat that needs a little extra patience, I truly enjoy building trust and making animals feel safe, happy, and loved. I currently work part time, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and dedicate plenty of time to caring for pets. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or keeping pets company, I’m able to easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I’ve cared for pets of different breeds, ages, and personalities through pet sitting and volunteering, and I understand that every pet is different and warms up at their own pace. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always try to keep their routine consistent so they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their owner is away.

Joanna provided her services to our animals for 8 days, while we were out of the country. Her love and dedication was evident from when we first saw her interact with our dog and cat. They were evidently well cared for, and bonded with Joanna. Leaving your house open to a stranger, to care for your defenseless loved ones, is a huge leap of faith. Joanna's integrity and love for animals is everything we hoped for. Highly recommend!

I work from home 3 days a week, so I am open to come during lunch break or after work, also I often home on the weekend. It depends on the animal. I can take the cage with an animal home. About: I have always had at least one dog and cared for many people's pets while they were away on holidays etc. Since retirement, my life has become very dog centered. I am almost always at home except for shopping and brief outings. When I am not home my great-grandchildren provide company and play time for my dogs. They live upstairs in the same house & are 14 & 16 their love of all pets shines. I have a well-fenced yard and recognize how it is emotionally difficult for dogs to be away from their home. Especially on the first and second visits, I provide lots of extra love and support. Dogs are considered members of the family.

About: I have my own energetic black Lab and two cats, so I’m used to all kinds of pet personalities at home! I volunteer at the Delta Animal Shelter with both dogs and cats, and have done puppy sitting for PADS. I really enjoy spending time with animals and always try to make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. During the school year I work in Education so I’m off work early and have the late afternoon/evening free. During Winter, Spring and Summer breaks I’m available anytime. Depending on the personality and breed of your dog, I will give them the appropriate exercise, cuddles/pets and mental stimulation through toys or games. I will keep them safe on leash or in the yard and make sure they aren’t getting into anything unsafe. I’ll be gentle and follow any training techniques used in the home.

About: Hello, my name is Skyla. Working with animals has always been something I loved since I was little. I have worked at doggy daycares so I have a lot of experience with dealing with multiple dog breeds with all kinds of temperments. I am a dog owner of 2 lovely dogs. So this would be a great option for having them around for more company. I do have a 2 year old cat who thinks he is a dog. So your pup will have to be okay with cats. I do take my dogs out every morning to play fetch and for a long walk at the big park near my house as well as the dog park atleast 4 times a week. If this sounds fitting to you, I look forward to hearing from you. There is a big backyard for them to run around and play. Burns Bog is not to far of a drive for some great walks!

About: Some of my earliest experiences with dogs apart from my own puppers, were as a child and into my teens my dad trained Guard/Security dogs. So the house was always filled with dogs newly being trained. Currently the only dogs in my life are my moms specially trained service dog that can detect MS attacks and my Boy Achilles who will soon be working with me to train other dogs for basic obedience. I also cared for my 19 year old cat named Tigger who now lives with my Grandparents. Tigger while in my care needed regular oral medication along side continual and constant monitoring of day to day activity. My schedule is open 7 days a week from 6:00-22:00 for Drop ins and Walks. Private sessions must be scheduled in advance. Group Hikes are not yet scheduled When in my care, I treat every dog and cat as my own. Similarly I respect your home by ensuring clean up of your dog or cat. No muddy paws on your sofa or wet dogs running through your house I am available for Drop-in visits and Walks from 6am to 10pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. 9am to 5pm Sundays. Outside hours service can be requested with advanced notice. I care for each Dog and Cat as my own and ensure the safety of your pets as much as I ensure their enjoyment and comfortablilty in my home or yours!

About: I have been a pet lover and owner my whole life. I have had all kinds of pets like cats, a dog, a bird, fish and hamsters. I have taken care of all of their needs including feeding, walks, companionship, cleaning up after them, bathing, vet visits and more. I am available for all weekdays 9:30am-2:30pm and possibly later for "mom hours" while my child is in school. These hours tend to coincide with a lot of peoples working hours while they are not home or available to tend to their pets. And when their pets may need companionship the most which I will be happy to provide. I will work with your homes and pets needs with any needs that they have. For example, if your pet is shy or timid I will work with them to gain my trust and give them space when needed. If your dog does not like to socialize with other dogs I will make sure to keep them away from them. Trust and safety will always come first! FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Delta

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Delta on Rover is $22.2 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 4,532 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Delta. About 85% of Delta sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Delta stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Delta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 85% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
