“We have left our boy Finnigan with Lesley and family many times, it is his second home! They are lovely and we trust them 100%. It puts our mind at ease knowing he is there while we're away. Highly recommend!”

“Highly recommend Wei & Long's Service! We know our dog very well and they're able to team them despite my dogs having separation anxiety. Wei makes sure that she gives her full attention to our dogs and always gives us updates by sending us videos and pictures throughout their stay. I am always at peace whenever I leave my dogs with them. Bonus is that they have a very nice backyard. :)”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Luanne as our pet sitter. She was incredibly caring, attentive, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She made both our cat and dog feel so loved and comfortable while we were away, giving them each special attention based on their needs. When we got our pets back, they were calm, relaxed, and content—which says everything about the quality of care she provided. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Luanne to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter!”

“Allison took great care of our dog Miso. She sent updates daily, including videos and pictures. Her family even taught him a new trick! Would highly recommend Allison for any dog sitting needs.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 and I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel at home. Whether your pup loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or quiet time, I’ll make sure they receive patient, attentive, and loving care. I am currently a full-time college student doing online courses, so I’ll be available to care for your pup any day of the week except Wednesdays. I am free any time of the day including weekends. Your fur baby is welcome to roam freely around the house, and I can set up pee pads or crates if needed. I also have a small fenced yard for quick potty breaks, plus an off-leash dog park just two blocks away for fun adventures and exercise!
“Words cannot describe how grateful we are to Oriana and JL for welcoming our pup into their home like she was theirs. We were nervous leaving her with new sitters, but they quickly eased our minds with countless photos and videos that we looked forward to every day. Our pup felt right at home and Oriana and JL did everything to make her comfortable. She was sad when we came to pick her up! I would HIGHLY recommend Oriana and JL and we feel a relief that we have found great sitters for our next trip. Thank you SO much!”

“Sarah took wonderful care of our dog during a 15-day boarding stay. We got regular updates and photos, and it was clear our dog felt comfortable, safe, and happy the entire time. Sarah is reliable, attentive, and treated our pet like family. We came home to a relaxed and well-cared-for dog. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”

“Robin was lovely to deal with. She's very responsive and seems to genuinely care for dogs. Lola seemed comfy with her right away and seemed well taken care of for the two nights she stayed with Robin.”

“This was our first time booking over Rover so we were pretty apprehensive. Sara immediately made me feel better once I met her - her calm presence and her clear love for dogs. Allie had a great time with Sara playing with a couple of other dogs in the yard and with her sons. Sara kept in touch the entire time, sending pictures and videos and text messages letting us know how it was going. Great experience and would definitely book Sara again! Thanks Sara!!”

“Gloria was super friendly with both me and Milo. She was very professional and arranged a virtual meet-and-greet beforehand to go over Milo’s specific care needs. She also created a very thorough care document for him, which I really appreciated. During the stay, Gloria sent lots of videos and photos to keep me updated and to show that Milo was having a great time. Milo came home and slept for 2 days😅 he had so much fun with the other dogs! I would definitely recommend her and would happily book with her again whenever Milo needs daycare or overnight care.”

“My dog Charlie had a wonderful time with Joyce! She updated me throughout the whole time Charlie was in her care with pictures which I truly appreciated. I will definitely book her again in the future if I need a sitter for my doggy.”

“Minerva was absolutely amazing with our dog, Pablo! From the moment we met her, it was clear how caring, kind, and compassionate she is. She treated Pablo like he was her own, making sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for while we were away. Knowing Pablo was in such loving and capable hands gave us complete peace of mind. Minerva went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter. We are incredibly grateful for the care and attention she gave Pablo. Thank you so much, Minerva!”

“My fur daughter, Laon has stayed with Paul and Denise for 10days. In the meantime, I could enjoy my vacation without any concerns because Paul and Denise kept updating Laon’s pictures and videos everyday. Laon is really picky and sensitive to other people and dogs but she has been doing well. She loves Paul and Denise and She is coming back to them soon if mommy and dad have any new plans. I highly recommend Paul and Denise’s care for dogs. I really appreciate to them ❤️”

About: I've looked after just about every size of dog, from toy breeds up to big ones, plus puppies figuring life out and seniors who'd rather nap. The longest I've had a dog fully to myself was over two weeks. I'm comfortable giving oral meds, sticking to a specific feeding plan, and keeping up basic obedience so your dog doesn't pick up new habits on my watch. I've got a maltipoo I raised from a puppy, fully vaccinated, neutered, and always happy to have visitors, but he's back home with family right now. I'm a student, which mostly means I'm home a lot. Weekdays I'm around during the day and in the evenings, and weekends are wide open. The house doesn't sit empty during the day either, so your dog won't be alone for hours on end. I cap it at two dogs at a time. I'll always confirm exact dates and times with you before locking anything in. The yard is fully fenced, so there's somewhere safe to sniff around, and there's an off-leash park close by for the real exercise. Heads up that there's a cat in the house. She belongs to my roommate, she's shy, and she stays in his room with the door closed, so your dog won't cross paths with her. That said, if your dog has a strong reaction to cats, let me know and we'll talk it through before you book. There are no other dogs here, so yours gets the run of the place and my full attention. My roommates are all good with dogs, but your pet is my responsibility from start to finish. Feeding, walks, meds, updates: that's all me. I've also got a car, so a vet run is never a problem, and I'll call you first unless it's urgent.
“Karina was an amazing sitter for my cat! It was her first time staying in a different home and she warmed up very quickly to Karina. Karina sent me daily updates of photos and videos which helped me feel at ease. It’s clear she gives the animals she watches lots of love and attention. I would definitely recommend Karina, and would use her as a sitter again in the future :)”

“Our dog Duke had a great time during his 10 day stay at Ciara’s boarding. Michael was great he sent photos and videos whenever he was able to. Duke looked like he had so much fun and has been exhausted ever since coming home. Thank you for taking care of our pup”

“Sobna and her family took such wonderful care of our dog while we were away in Europe for three weeks! She sent regular updates and was always available when I reached out. Mick had such a good time and we will definitely use her in the future.”

This was our first time leaving our puppy Jax for a few nights and Sarah was an excellent choice! She kept us updated with pictures and videos and spent a lot of quality time with him. Jax loved playing with Eleven and Luna so the socialization was an added benefit. We will definitely use Sarah again.

Joyce was absolutely amazing with Starsky. He had the absolute best time staying with her and it was a dream to know that Starsky was safe and was receiving the best care. He almost didn’t want to come home! I an ecstatic to know that Joyce is close by and sends lots of updates with photos and videos. Looking forward to booking again with Joyce and her family!

We feel so lucky to have found Keiona to care for our dog, Sage. Sage is a five-year-old Golden Retriever who is naturally shy and timid around both people and other dogs she doesn’t know. From the moment she met Keiona, she felt safe and comfortable. Keiona is incredibly kind, patient, and loving. She spends quality time playing with Sage, taking her for walks, and giving her lots of cuddles and attention. It gives us complete peace of mind knowing that Sage is so well cared for and genuinely happy while she’s with Keiona. We highly recommend Keiona to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dedicated pet caregiver. We couldn’t ask for anyone better!

Joanna and I mutually agreed to end the pet boarding early since her dog and mine didn't get along and it was in the best interest of both parties to move Bugsy to another pet-sitter. But during those 3 days, I saw how Joanna took care of Bugsy, bringing him to parks, giving him affection and making sure I was always updated. When we decided to end the pet boarding, Joanna was kind enough to bring Bugsy to the other pet-sitter even though it was 20 mins away. I still highly recommend Joanna. If you've got a dog who's not as reactive as mine, he/she will be in good company with Joanna and Esme (her pet dog). Her backyard is so clean that your pet dog will have fun roaming around it too.

Anneka is always a comfort to have watch our animals. Her joyous and loving personality always puts my heart at ease when I have to leave them for a long time, and she truly cares for the animals as if they are her own - not just during the easy times, but when you need someone who will care from them as well as you would. She's our #1 sitter and we'll always rebook.

Jacqueline and her husband are simply the best. We make frequent short trips up to Vancouver and they are our go to dog sitters. They are easy going while at the same time being completely trustworthy and responsible. We receive frequent photos and updates during the day. Two paws up from Franky, who loves their dog, Pancake. Our dog, Franky, can be a little bit of a tazmanian devil but Jacqueline and Bill always seem to know how to handle him. We love working with them!

We had wonderful experience leaving our Golden Retriever with Gala and Andrew. She was well taken cared of and they’ve provided regular updates with pictures on how our Molly was doing. The fact that they have 2 Golden Retrievers of their own made mine felt more at ease with them. Thank you Gala and Andrew for taking really good care of our Dog.

Zoe T was absolutely wonderful with our cavapoo! She took a genuine and deep interest in making sure she was comfortable and well cared for throughout her stay. Zoe took her on regular walks and kept us updated with timely messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Communication with Zoe was effortless — she was responsive, friendly, and proactive throughout. It was clear that she truly cares about animals and treats them with love and attention. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
