I live in a house with a partially fenced yard. My husband and I have no kids, no pets, and don't smoke. Our neighbourhood is family friendly. I do keep extra pet supplies like feeding bowls, grooming brushes, and leashes. There is a walking trail and an enclosed dog park within walking distance for canines. I'm very familiar with having to bathe extremely mud-happy pooches on a daily basis. Plenty of tennis balls and various pet toys in the house. A Meet & Greet is very important to have before any booking, and they will usually take place during the weekends, during daylight hours for everyone's safety. For cats I have windows where they can sunbathe, but I find they like to go upstairs and nap happily in the warm, spare bedrooms. Plenty of blankets to nest in. I have various cat toys, catnip, and a litter box if owners don't wish to bring their own. All pets have full access of house, and I do have pet gates if needed (like preventing senior dogs from going up the stairs by themselves). For outside time, I have rope tethers so dogs can wander the yard safety.

Knowing their regular schedule (especially mealtimes), as well as the name and phone number of their vet. Any allergies and if they are on any current medications that needs to be continued during their stay. Please let me know their compatibility with other pets (if we go to the dog park) and if they enjoy car rides (we often go out on the weekends to visit friends and family)

Each animal has their own personality and routine, and I can certainly adjust exercise and feeding times according to their needs and comfort level. A senior dog with arthritis will have a different walking schedule than a two-year old pooch. During the warmer months, our yard is a wonderful place for dogs to sunbathe, play, and chill.

(Updated May 2026) Hello! I’ve been incredibly lucky to look after pets for both family and friends for several years. I've been surrounded by pets for most of my life, but in the past decade started boarding pets rather than just sitting them for the day. Pet sitting started out of love, found that I really enjoy it, and proud to turn it into my new profession! Important: For daycare drop-off is at my home only. I don't drive so I unable to pick up pets from their own home. Apologies! Honesty and transparency is important to me. First off, I became a Rover sitter in April 2023. Our pets are family members, and it can be hard to find the right sitter for them while you are away. I promise to do my best to make my home their 'home away from home,' and to make them feel loved, safe, and happy until your return. The majority of my furry guests stay overnight, anywhere from several days to even a month or more – and it’s always a joy and a new adventure. My family dog lived to be 17 years old, and I have lots of experience taking care of senior dogs. Note for pet families: I do still look after the pets of friends/family and do my best to not overlap bookings. If there is a potential overlap, I ask for the opinion and permission of all families regarding their pets

I was nervous leaving my dog with anyone because of his medical needs but Luane and her husband were wonderful and put my mind at ease. Thank you for watching my quirky food motivated dog!
Luanne is amazing ! We feel very comfortable with Milo staying with Luanne as we know we he is loved and well taken care of.
We had such a wonderful experience with Luanne as our pet sitter. She was incredibly caring, attentive, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She made both our cat and dog feel so loved and comfortable while we were away, giving them each special attention based on their needs. When we got our pets back, they were calm, relaxed, and content—which says everything about the quality of care she provided. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Luanne to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter!
Great as always! We left both of our dogs, Nala and Whiskey, with Luanne and John and couldn’t be more happy. We had some special instructions given our dogs needs and Luanne was able to accommodate right away. The regular updates and pictures were great and will be booking again for sure!
