Leaving DJ for four nights while I traveled to Ottawa for work was a big step for me, as he’s a rescue dog and can be a little nervous and skittish in new situations. From the moment I dropped him off, Denise and Paul put my mind at ease. Their communication was exceptional. They sent daily photos and videos throughout the day, which reassured me that DJ was happy, relaxed, and settling in well. It was clear from every update that he was receiving lots of care, attention, and affection. Their property is wonderful, with plenty of space for dogs to explore, sniff, and play, along with a secure fenced area that gave me confidence in his safety. When I picked DJ up, he was happy, clean, well cared for, and completely relaxed. As someone who usually takes DJ everywhere with me, being apart from him isn’t easy, but Denise and Paul made the experience stress-free. About: I have been around animals my entire life and have 16 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I grew up with dogs, horses, bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters, so understanding animal behavior and care has always come naturally to me. I have a ton of patience, attentiveness, and ability to build trust with animals quickly. I also personally trained my own family dogs (golden retriever and American Eskimo Spitz), which gave me experience with reinforcing good behaviours, maintaining routines, leash walking, crate training, and understanding the importance of consistency and positive reinforcement. I know every pet has their own personality, comfort level, and needs, and I genuinely take the time to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while in my care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or shy and anxious, I adapt to what makes them happiest and most relaxed. Because I’m home throughout the day, pets in my care get lots of supervision, companionship, playtime, cuddles, and attention, not just quick check-ins. I treat every animal like they’re part of the family and care for them the same way I’d want someone to care for my own pets. I have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home as a university student currently off for the summer. This allows me to provide pets with lots of attention, supervision, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m available for daytime care and overnight boarding, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine to help them feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have years of experience caring for animals, not only my own pets, but also pet sitting and caring for the pets of friends, family and clients over the years. I have looked after animals with different personalities, routines, and energy levels, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and attentiveness are when caring for someone’s pet. I live in a clean, pet-friendly townhouse with a front yard, and pets in my care are welcome to freely roam around the home and make themselves comfortable. They are absolutely allowed on the furniture because I want them to feel as relaxed, loved, and at home as possible during their stay. Because I am home most of the day, pets receive lots of supervision, companionship, playtime, cuddles, and attention throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. I am also a very active and routine-oriented person, so walks, potty breaks, feeding schedules, and playtime are always kept consistent and reliable. Since I already enjoy going on walks daily myself, your dog will get plenty of exercise, outdoor time, and stimulation. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, so I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and comfort level to help them feel safe and stress-free while away from home. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or more calm and cuddly, I will make sure they receive patient, loving, and attentive care every step of the way. For daycare and overnight boarding, I ask owners to provide food, treats, leash/harness, medications (if needed), and any comfort items like toys or blankets to help their pets settle in comfortably.

About: Loving pet carer with over 20 years experience with dogs and cats. I offer daytime walks, daycare at my home, drop ins, and overnight care. Being an at-home parent my hours are fairly flexible on weekdays, and on weekends by request. We currently have one kitten of our own living at home, your pet would have to be comfortable with that. IMPORTANT For stays in my home: I do have two children at home (a 6yr old and a 10yr old) so for any bookings at my home I can only take in pets who are comfortable being around children. They have grown up around dogs, cats, and farm animals. I always take care to ensure that pets have space for themselves and that the children treat them respectfully, but I am unable to take in pets that may be extremely timid or aggressive with children. I am a stay at home Mum, and work part-time at home. So my schedule is fairly flexible, pets are not left on their own unless it’s for short periods. I’m happy to work with clients to accommodate their drop off and pick up times. Dogs have access to our fully fenced yard and a park just down the block. I never let a dog outside in our yard without me being present. I work from home allowing my schedule to be flexible to help accommodate your needs. Available weekdays and weekends, can be available on short notice. have a fenced in yard, where dogs can enjoy supervised play and potty breaks. I am able to contain dogs or cats to my family room/kitchen or living room if needed and happy to accept crates if needed.

About: I’ve been providing day care, boarding, walks, bathroom and water breaks for dogs of all dispositions and needs for over 8 years now. I have experience with dogs who are reactive, disabled, elderly, grumpy, easy going, good on leash, terrible on leash, love other dogs, hate other dogs and everything in between! I am skilled at reading dog behaviour and energy shifts, and anticipating and diffusing undesirable interactions between dogs. I will provide continuity with training goals and language if that’s where you’re at, and I have experience with dogs with medical conditions who need some extra help and lots of patience. I have several long term clients and can happily provide references. Canine care is my full time job, and I take it very seriously. I am accommodating, flexible and responsive, and can work with you to come up with a schedule that works for you and your pup. From one offs and last minute requests, to long term, predictable scheduling, I’m just happy to get to spend time with your pup! I am canine first aid certified, and I’m cautious and caring. I’m attentive on walks (I’m familiar with the tries-to-eat-everything and the makes-it-weird-on-leash variety of dog), and I’m tuned in and present when dogs are in my home (I’m also familiar with the counter-surfing, toy shredding, sock eating variety of dog). I have a dedicated basement suite that is set up to be a safe and comfortable pup haven, with easy access to a large, securely fenced backyard. Whether your pup is a couch dog, floor dog, crate dog or bed dog, I have all the surfaces. I’m present with the dogs when they’re in my home, and provide a loving space and as many ear/chin/head/belly/butt scratches as your dog could possibly want!
