“Here’s the translation: It was Chai’s first time staying away from home, and we treated it as a trial run for a longer stay. Minerva was very open and kind about all our worries and questions, and she made sure to take care of Chai in every detail, always sending us updates and little news. Now Chai will be staying with her for 15 days, and we’re certain she’ll be extremely well cared for, with lots of love and attention.”

“Words cannot describe how grateful we are to Oriana and JL for welcoming our pup into their home like she was theirs. We were nervous leaving her with new sitters, but they quickly eased our minds with countless photos and videos that we looked forward to every day. Our pup felt right at home and Oriana and JL did everything to make her comfortable. She was sad when we came to pick her up! I would HIGHLY recommend Oriana and JL and we feel a relief that we have found great sitters for our next trip. Thank you SO much!”

“I couldn't be happier with Kody, Sophie and family for taking care of Emma! They treated her as part of the family, lots of affection, long walks, playtime and company. Special mention to Cooper who is now Emma's bestie! I love the regular updates, photos and videos that they send. Puts a smile on my face everytime. Emma will surely miss them but I know they're just an email away from booking another sitting. Trusted and a class act!—I highly recommend Kody and Sophie.”

“Angela was so attentive and thoughtful about caring for Ollie and we feel lucky to have found her and her family for future care. It’s always a bit nerve-wrecking to leave your dog with new people. Angela made the process feel seamlessly easy.”

“Bella stayed with Heather second time now. I can really tell that Bella enjoys her stay - second time she has recognized Heather and was so happy to see her dog as well!”

“Hyoungjin & Soyoung D did an amazing job taking care of my little guy coco for a week! My dog came back happy & clearly well loved. They were attentive and communicated really well throughout his stay. I could tell he was in great hands the whole time. I’m very happy with their care and would definitely trust them again in the future!”

Your fur baby is welcome to roam freely around the house, and I can set up pee pads or crates if needed. I also have a small fenced yard for quick potty breaks, plus an off-leash dog park just two blocks away for fun adventures and exercise!
“Catherine and Greg are great caretakers. I didn't worry about my dog at all during the sleepover. Catherine consistently updated me on how my dog was doing throughout the day with photos. I would definitely recommend them and reach out to them again for future dog-sitting needs! Thank you again.”

“I couldnt recommend Louis enough! He pampered my pup and treated her like royalty! He was in constant communication and sent lots of photos. He and his family are some of the warmest people I’ve met, 11/10! :)”

“we’re so happy with the care Isabelle and Dean provided. they looked after our two dogs — who can be a bit of a handful, with so much patience and kindness. our pups came home happy, spoiled with walks, cuddles, and the freedom to roam around comfortably. thank you again for everything! we’d definitely rebook if we ever need help in the future.”

“Lesley and her family took a good care of our girl Bao during her 2 nights stay. Lots of caring and playing with photo updates. Bao doesn’t seem want to come home with me so sure she must had a good time staying with Lesley. Highly recommended !”

“Olga was so amazing with our boy, Alvin! Alvin has many allergies and often when we leave him with someone he comes back sick however Alvin never looked better after Olga’s care. Thank you Olga!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pitt Meadows
This was our first time using Rover, and we were a bit nervous since it was going to be a longer boarding stay. But after seeing all of the wonderful reviews and meeting Lu in person, we felt confident that we were leaving our pup with someone who genuinely loves and cares for both the dogs and their owners. Throughout the stay, Lu kept us updated with regular messages, along with lots of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our dog was having an amazing time, getting plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. We couldn't have asked for a better first Rover experience. We would absolutely trust Lu with our pup again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and communicative dog sitter. Thank you so much, Lu!

Romeo had a fabulous stay with Olga for a week, and was very well taken care of. I felt very secure leaving my pup with Olga. She took Romeo for walks, sent me videos of him, and helped take care of his ears which require special attention. I am very grateful that I found Olga and will definitely use her services again. Thanks so much Olga :)

Maxine was incredible to us and our Goldendoodle, Oakley. Maxine made us feel comfortable by updating us with pictures. Maxine had excellent communication throughout the entire process. She was very knowledgeable, kind, welcoming and caring of our dog. We know our Oakley was in such great hands and had such an amazing time!! We will definitely be asking Maxine again for her incredible services in watching our pup. We would highly recommend Maxine. Thank you so much again Maxine, for taking such good care of our Oakley!! 😄

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
